We offer you all the feddbacks of people who know the products and services of Northwest Chinese Food (Restaurant) in the area close to Maryland.
To this day this firm gets a score of 4.4 stars over 5 and that score has been based on 223 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is really good, and it is founded on a high number of scores, so we may say that the evaluation is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their opinion when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write evaluations when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is included in the category of Chinese restaurant.
Great noodles for College Park! If you're looking for pho or pad Thai noodles, you should head elsewhere. Otherwise, this is the place to go for northwestern Chinese noodles. Service is good and usually pretty quick.
Great food, good host and nice ambiance with reasonable pricing...
Excellent and very legit foods from northwest China. Try the liangpi cold noodles, black vinegar peanuts, and the meat “sandwiches!”
Best Chinese food I’ve have had! So flavorful with a great staff and good prices!
The food is 5 stars but in the five times I've gotten food from this place the order has been wrong. Not worth the trouble, never returning. And they keep the door locked during business hours??? (not talking about the time they close in the afternoon, customers were sitting there eating and the door was locked)
It was ok. The noodle was thick and chewy which was very good but the soup base was just ok. The skewers were not very good but not bad either. I really appreciate them packing the noodle and the soup separately though when I ordered take out.
The portion is very small for the price. The food not tasty.
It was great! I love how authentic and intimate the setting is. The food is great no matter what you choose. The method for the menu is unique you'll have to go to see what I mean
Decent food. Prepare to wait if coming for lunch. Clientele mostly students from the nearby College Park campus.
Excellent food, never had a bad dish. Cuisine from a less common region of China
Good food, Friendly staff
so worth the wait... delicious!
Great. Delicious. Quite authentic. Enjoyed it!
This is the only place I can find that serves my favorite noodle dish. The D1 reminds me of something in NYC's Chinatown. The staff is very nice, although the place is a bit quirky (ask for water, get lukewarm water, ask for a Coke, get a room temperature can of coke with no ice). I still love this place -- it has a certain character and I always find myself going back. FYI, there's a $10 threshold for credit cards, so bring cash if you're coming alone to get a snack.
Legit Chinese in CP, love it.
I went to this place with my husband for dinner this evening. My husband ordered lamb burgers for us, but the restaurant brought us pork burgers by mistake. They didn't apologize for their mistake, nor be polite to us. The waitress denied her mistake, and a Chinese male manager said there is nothing they could do. We really don't recommend this place and we are very disappointed by the service and management. Be very careful, THEY WILL GIVE YOU PORK WHEN YOU ORDER LAMB, because they don't respect your religion or value. Growing up I hate pork and have been staying away from pork, due to the fact that special smell and health concerns. Growing up in a Jewish family, my husband hasn't ever had pork. After we got our order, we didn't realize what we were eating. I would rather say that the spice they use kind of covers the taste of pork, so I thought we got what we ordered. We trusted this place too much thus we didn't double check with them before we ate, so after we finished our meal and asked them with concerns, we were told that those were pork and they can do nothing for that. I felt strongly as if we were deprived of freedom to choose, as if we were set up and have to feel we deserve it. I, a Chinese coming from China, feel so ashamed of this restaurant. As a restaurant, Northwest Chinese food doesn't serve its customers well; as a Chinese company, Northwest Chinese food will have bad reputation due to what it did.
Delicious handmade noodles! For those who like their carbs spicy, this is the place! I come here at least once a month. All their noodle dishes are excellent; you can't go wrong. I also like the combination vegetable (potato strips, tofu, peanuts, etc.). The most authentic, not-your-run-of-the-mill Chinese food around.
Could easily be the best authentic Chinese food in all of Maryland. This is absolutely a destination restaurant worth traveling to.
Authentic Xi'an taste
Decent Northwest Chinese food! Stewed pork burger was a bit dry but spicy cumin lamb was great!
Server is so bad.
Great food. Wish they weren't closed for 2 hours!
Delicious. Every. Time. I recommend the summer special B8 cold noodle dish and the black vinegar peanuts
Here serves the types of Chinese food you can't find anywhere else in the area. The noodles and pork burgers are especially delicious
The food is great. Spicy options but not your typical Chinese food. Lots of noodles options
Terrible service and poor management. I waited 50 minutes for nothing until I realized they served two tables who came later than me. It turned out that they forgot to take my order to the kitchen so nothing was in process. Not just me, there were complaints from many customers there.
The only reason this restaurant still open is because the cook is not bad. This place has the worst service and unreasonable price. Really bad service - the waitresses are slow and always have a sad face. The owner is really really mean.
Really good authentic Chinese food.
The place is named as ten Asian food hall, but the photo, menu, hours, reviews are for Northwest Chinese Food (7313 E). I submitted edit twice with photo and it "can't be verified". Not sure if that's from a algorithm or reviewer. Check yelp if you have to.
The food was delicious. The flavors were predominantly garlic and chili with other great hints of things like cilantro and cumin. The sesame noodles with vegetables were chewy and perfect slurping.
The poke was good not great but good. The fish options were your standard ones not many outside the bowl thinking options(pun intended). The topping list is somewhat limited compared to other places. A decent alternative and only alternative in CP. Good service and clean place. Bit price for a college restaurant hopefully it
Good food and service
份量超级小,
Incredibly authentic. Definitely are not going to find General Tso's chicken here.
I've been once, and the food was really great. Strongly flavored and then some. Good service as well.
Usually need to wait for seats. This time I wait for about 5 minutes. The total cost with tax and 15%tip was 35$ in the picture. Northwestern style Chinese food, good enough in US but not quite good as China’s evaluation.
Highly recommend noodle #D5 and D12. Skewers and burgers are good too
It's good and unique style, but I think the food is too salty.
东西挺好吃,男生要点很多才能吃饱
I love their tea, that’s the only reason i come to this place.
Great, really authentic food. But the service is awful and slow, so only come here if you've got time to spare.
Not a typical Chinese restaurant, lots of spicy Northwestern Chinese food. Great noodles. The family favorite was the red oil sesame dumplings. Loved it! Will go again, and again.
I love this restaurant so much. Sometimes service is a bit slow, but the food is so good that it makes up for it. I've tried a lot of restaurants in the area but this is arguably my favorite. Great for people who.love strong flavors, spices, and noodle based dishes!
Great noodles. Service was slow.
This place is delicious! Just got back. Planning on going again very soon.
Absolutely fantastic and authentic Chinese food. Not American Chinese food - be prepared for delicious flavors that Americans don't usually associate with Chinese food. Have been twice and will definitely be back again.
food is ok, but service is so bad. I waited for 5 mins to get a table when there are 3 tables unoccupied. It took 10 mins for the waitress to take your order and another 5 mins to get your water. The worst part is they charged me the wrong bill when I trusted the waitress without looking at the bill and gave her my credit card. It was a pretty obvious mistake. My bill was around $13, and the one they charged me was around $35. you will not make such mistake if you use a little portion of your brain by looking at the number. And I only got a reluctant "sorry" for that.
Delicious homemade noodles. tasty dishes. Definitely way beyond standard "Chinese-American" restaurant fare... And that's a very good thing.
I used to work here, so I am using a separate account to write this review. But FYI the waitresses DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get the tips. The waitresses only get paid $8 an hour (there is one server who had worked there for over 10 months and got her pay raised by 8.5 cents). The dishes are honestly disgusting, sometimes food is still left in the bowls. If you read any of the other ratings, you can see how they talk about the bad waitresses there, its not that they're bad but there's a single waitress taking orders, putting in orders, taking out food, and getting drinks for up to 11 tables. I honestly wish all the workers there can find better jobs. Everyone is paid below minimum wage and they all work their hardest for the cheapest boss. So in summary, DO NOT LEAVE TIPS AS THE SERVERS DO NOT GET THEM. IF THE BOWL FEELS OILY ITS BECAUSE IT'S NOT CLEAN AT ALL.
Nice place, the spicy beefy noodles are a must try....
很好吃,地道的中餐!
A few items are good, but nothing really great. Do try the vinegar roasted peanuts!
I really enjoyed:b1- cold skin noodles b3-red oil sesame dumplings c1- spicy shredded potatoes c5- black vinegar peanuts e1- cumin lamb skewer.
Authentic Northern Chinese food offered in a humble restaurant
(Translated by Google) Very delicious meat clips, as a meat clip in the college park, there are definitely five points! ! ! (Original) 挺好吃的肉夹馍,作为在college park的肉夹馍,绝对有五分好嘛!!!
Great regional Chinese food and not expensive. Try noodle dishes and dumplings.
We ordered some noodles and the first bowl came very quickly. Then after though it went downhill, we waited 30mins till we got the stuffed chinese burgers. The flavors will were great but it was $5.00 for one burgers. Thought it was pretty expensive but then we also ordered a second noodle bowl, and waited and waited. It was an hour after we ordered and the noodles still didn't get served. We asked and they said we got it but, we didn't. LOL We asked the manager and we redordered it since they didn't even get it on the receipt. We finally got it and the manager gave us 2 sodas as a present.XD NICE OF HER, but the waitress didn't apologize. The food was delicious but service and serving time was terrible and very slow. THANKS FOR READING:)
I loved this place so much but no more. Service is surprisingly terrible and rude now. Last week one server took my order but didn’t take my girlfriend’s. But later on he explained: “you are supposed to tell ME what you ordered, and what do YOU want now. “ It’s your job to check the order please! Then our whole day was ruined because of you. YOU LOST YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMER NOW AND WE’LL NEVER COME AGAIN.
巨像喜茶!!好喝!
It is clean and good taste
The food is constantly well prepared and flavorful, employees provides awesome service. I really like the cleanliness and atmosphere. Keep up the good work.
Tried multiple noodle dishes and skewers. Everything was fantastic. The lamb was the real star.
Tasty, reasonably priced and cosy. They also adjusted spice level upon our request. Satisfied with my visit.
Fabulous and authentic flavors. Love this place.

Wonderful, so good to finally have some real food in college park.
Reasonably priced and flavorful food
Only good for vegetarian foods, didn't really like the meat dishes.
Incredible. Try the cumin lamb burger or skewers
Amazing Chinese food! Very recommendable!!!
Eh. More hype than substance. Was hoping for more.
The "burgers" are awesome!
Good food, unusual selections, friendly servers.
The place is small and busy. The pork burgers are good, but the noodles are greasy and unhealthy. The salad is small.
One of our favorite stops for some delicious spicy noodles.
This place was so delicious! We arrived at around 8pm on a Friday night, didn’t have to wait long to be seated and had no problems with service. I can’t wait to go back!
Authentic and good taste, but portion size was on the smaller end for the price.
It's impossible to find good Chinese noodles in my area, so we made the trip to College Park just to come here. I was not disappointed. Fantastic menu selection for anyone craving some non-Americanized Chineese. I had the liang pi and knife cut noodles (two of my favorite things) and was extremely happy. The requisite black vinegar and chili oil are present on each table. I definitely got extra liang pi to go. Honestly my only complaint is that I have to drive 40 minutes to get here (please open in Howard County!)
Great experiences each time we go. I love the red oil sesame dumplings, and tangerine lemon tea. I try a new entrees every time. The only thing I was "meh" about were the skewers, of all things. Not bad, just not particularly great. They do a solid lunch business, but carry out is an option. Highly recommend!
The owner is so impatient and arrogant. The waitresses can ignore you for more than 15mins while you stand in front of the cashier trying to pay. Ridiculous expensive food. Be careful with the noodles, you have to pay extra for the source. or you will spend around $10 and get noodles without any, any source!!!! Very bad service and never come back.
Good service shouldn’t be selective. I was treated very rudely when I got here. I walked in, and a lady who appeared to be the owner, looked me up and down with a weird look in her eye and walked into the kitchen, basically ignoring me. I ordered takeout. And they got my order wrong too. I was hoping that it was one woman having a bad day. But the entire staff was cold and judgemental. I asked for extra chili oil 2 times while ordering. They forgot that at the end. When I asked. The last guy I spoke to sighs. Fills up a little thing with oil and gives it to me and says with a certain tone in his voice “we’re supposed to charge for that. You should have told us before we charged you.” I informed the man that I did in fact ask for the oil. Twice. But he just stared at me and said “okay “. Like I just spent $19 here, you think I’m trying to scam you out of $0.50 ? So I get back, food ain’t great (and before you start, I have been to China and eaten in several cities and rural areas there to know what authentic Chinese food is supposed to taste like) this didn’t taste authentic. Not that I care, I just wanted good food. Good food is good food. This was not good food. No I was not dressed “shoddily” if that’s your first thought. And yes, service should matter. TL;DR Everyone was rude, messed up my order(wrong items); food was bad.
Extremely slow service - 1.5hr wait time. Waitresses kept giving our food to other tables and were asking different tables whose food it was. We waited ONE AND A HALF HOURS for the meat burgers - Ive been to other Chinese places with similar food before and these are supposed to be fast and the first things served. And I was speaking to them in both English AND Mandarin so language is not an excuse either. And I hear the waitresses don't even keep their tips?
Pretty good, authentic northern Chinese food. Beware, it’s spicy for most Americans..! The “burgers” are small, pita sized
My favorite local spot.
Food is great! I had a great time eating here with some friends and enjoying the delicious food. Only thing is the limited seating space and the incredibly long wait times for your food.
Great food, TERRIBLE service and management. On days they have a full house (over the weekend) they don't add staff members to keep up with demand so we didnt get a menu for 10 minutes or cup of water(15-20min) until we went to the counter and asked and then were told to wait. When they split a table meant for 4 in order to accommodate 3 parties of 2, we asked for chili oil and were ignored and had to ask for it from the guests at the (split table) next to us. Come here if you just interested in food, and don't mind waiting or poor service.
Excellent. Amazing tastes, dishes you won't find anywhere else in town, and pretty cheap too. The sesame noodles are freakin religious, the potato rou jia mo is a saucy flavor bomb. The service has improved a lot since they opened. The menu isn't huge, but it's diverse enough that your whole party should be able to find something. vegan/vege dishes are clearly marked
Dee-licious! We had the summer special, two types of cold noodles. Great flavors. Will be back!
Really delicious. Would visit again. Liked potatoes, peanuts, flat noodles, burgers, skewers.
Do it all for self and ask for what you want. Get menus yourself. Write down on the order sheet your order. Turn it in. Ask for water if you want it. Then eat damn good lunch and go up and pay!
NOTHING like your typical neighborhood Chinese takeout place. No chop suey, sweet and sour pork, or kung pao chicken. Only fresh, delicious and (at least for most Americans) inventive dishes Mostly noodle soup based and skewers. Also try the peanuts and 'burgers'. Fast casual atmosphere. Main drawback is the combination of many admirers and its small size. Best to come at off-times or use takeout service.
Small menu but fantastic food
Real deal Chinese food at a great price. Fresh noodles, savory sauces, and an extensive menu. This place did not dissapoint. If your in College Park and haven't been here, you need to go check it out. But don't expect to figure out what's in these diahes, you probably don't want to know and it's delicious, so don't wreck it!
One of my favorite Chinese food places in College Park. I love the burgers, especially the cumin lamb one. The skewers are good too. All the soups are amazing and I personally like the egg omlette noodle mashup (ask them for the name). It is usually busy during meal hours - be ready for a wait. They have a good range of veg options also, making it a good place to go with anyone.
This place is pretty good for college park! Dishes were served quickly as service was decent. Would recommend the noodles and lian pi. Skewers were decent too! Prices are reasonable at around 10-15 a person to fill up.
Very rude. It feels like you are here to make trouble for them. Hate to see the ugly face of the waitress. Also, the food here is not worth the money at all
service was a little slow, and not everything was a total hit - some of the skewers were meh - but overall, an awesome meal.
Good ambience and decent food. The must try dishes are spicy and work well as an appetizer.
This is an excellent authentic Chinese restaurant. The dishes are all very flavorful, and not salty like most other restaurants. Highly recommended.
The food is delicious! This is not your standard American Chinese fare. You're in for a real treat.
Disappointed that the liangpi dish did not include cucumbers, but still very good. Rou jia mo (burgers), especially the cumin lamb one, are out of this world. They are simply amazing, worth every penny and they are the reason I go back. Cold vegetables and sesame cold noodles are good too.
Best authentic Chinese food in the area
Great spicy and tangy flavors with homemade noodles. Not a fan of the papers cups but we'll be back.
A different Chinese place, their spice selection is very different from other Chinese places! The place is usually crowded, but worth giving a try! Their cold noodle is usually good.
Very comfortable environment with authentic Chinese food. Service is prompt and polite. Food is quite tasty and generously portioned. Price is reasonable.
It's going to sound weird, but my recommendation for the most authentic cuisine from the northwest of China is: try the burgers. Seriously. The food here, like the region of China for which it is named has a strong, historic Muslim influence. So many things you wouldn't usually associate with Chinese food show up in the menu, like naan-like bread (the burger "bun") and lots of lamb options. The burgers are chopped meat (lamb, pork, beef, or egg) with a small proportion of rice and lots of good spices served on naan that has been crisped to perfection. It's hard to describe just how good it is. The skewers are great. This is the only Chinese place I've seen that's going to go heavy on the cumin. I also recommend the fried, rolled noodles. They're delightfully spicy, fresh, and the only way I can describe them is "imagine Chinese spaghetti."
Delicious food. Visited with customers who are regulars here so cannot comment on the service being below par. Had the lamb burgers, the chicken skewers and the dry beef chili rice bowl. Everything was absolutely amazing. The bowls are pretty big so unless you have a huge appetite, two people could easily share one.
Hands-down my favorite restaurant, probably in the whole region. Get there early if you want Liang-pi noodles -- they run out!
Great food, very flavorful!
Good food - just remember they close between 3 PM and 5 PM.
Favorite place to eat in College Park.
Noodles are too sweet for Chinese. You would like it if you are not a chinese.
The sour soup dumplings are amazing. So are the hand cut noodles. The burgers are okay. The service is friendly but slow and it takes time for the food to come out. It’s not pricey. Park in the garage behind Cornerstone Bar.
Authentic Chinese food. Sometimes you have to wait for a long time for a seat or the food tho. Hope they have more options on the menu in the future.
They cook Korean chicken which is my favorite!
Surprisingly authentic Chinese food in College Park.
tomato and egg noodles are great!
