My family loves eating at Namaste,, which has become our go-to place for family celebrations and entertaining. We have dined at some of the finest Indian restaurants in the D.C. area, including Rasika and Rasika West End. In my view the quality of the food and service at Namaste is comparable to those restaurants at a much lower price. The owner visits each table to welcome diners to the restaurant and ask about the food. He recognizes regulars, like my family, remembers what we like, and recommends new dishes for us to try. The service is impeccable, with knowledgeable servers and well-paced meals. Most important, the food is outstanding. The curries are deeply flavored, the naan is perfectly baked, tandoori dishes are succulent and well prepared. The Palak Chaat, deep-fried spinach with tamarind sauce, is a favorite appetizer that we order every time we go to Namaste. Portions are large, and basmati rice is replenished as soon as it is running low. The restaurant has a well-crafted beer and wine list and a full bar. Tables have white tablecloths and the dining room is quiet, attractive and comfortable. We have been to Namaste dozens of times and have never had a poorly cooked dish or bad dining experience. Don't let the fact this restaurant is tucked inside a nondescript strip mall fool you - Namaste is a gem.

Sunday buffet was lacking in spice content. Selection of vegetarian items was no traditional. Meat selection was pretty good compared to other Indian buffets. Boneless meats here other places have mainly bones with very little meat. Would go back to try non buffet selections.

I'm giving Namaste a two star because I liked my waiters. I had a surprise birthday party for my mom here. The food was ok but they did not have varieties of food for the weekend buffet. You would think paying $14 bucks a person there would be quite a selection. How do you have just shrimp biryani and not any other biryani, what about for those who don't eat shrimp or have an allergy to seafood. When I just mentioned it to the owner he didn't take it into consideration. He said I can buy from the menu if I wanted, therefore I pay for the buffet and separate for my rice. That didn't even make sense. My first and last time here. I'm just not sure how any Indian restaurant to have just one selection on a weekend that too..

The lunch buffet has a great variety of tasty dishes, and I really recommend it. But they really step it up several notches for their dinner service. It's a fine dining experience. My husband and I went for dinner a couple weeks ago and I'd had a migraine that day so I couldn't have a cocktail. The waiter heard us talking about my migraine and brought me a Lassi to make me feel better. Dinner was delicious and the naan was perfection.

This was literally the best food I've had in at least a year. Not expensive either, my god. Ever have food so good that it makes you write a review??

This place was so much more than I expected! I love Indian food and it usually upsets my stomach but this did not. I got the lamb vindaloo and the waiter warned me that it was very hot and yes, it was spicy, but not so hot that I could not enjoy it. The sauce was flavorful but did not over power the lamb. Rice was perfect, dry as it is supposed to be and still fluffy. The chutney and sauces they provide are excellent and complementary. Waiters are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Portions are large but manageable with room for dessert. Each of us ordered one and they gave us a complementary rice pudding. I would come here again.

Good food, good service.. Not kid friendly they will charge you almost full price for children and additional 20% for gratuity "because children make their work harder". I would like to continue to make this our regular spot but can't pay extra for my kids who barely ate anything. They are also old enough to not make messes. We won't be back soon.

The restaurant is very nice in regards to setup and provided excellent service. Not only was the waiter patient in helping the vegans present navigate the menu, explaining different items and even brought out a replacement sauce for an entrée (we didn't realize it came with a dairy-based sauce). The owner was very personable and checked on us as well. He was genuinely welcoming. The food of course was good and I appreciate the waitstaff helping guide us to options.

Very small selection of food for an Indian buffet and the waiters were not friendly. I was charged a gratuity for a party of 2, without mentioning it anywhere. I have never seen this happen at any other place. It is better I don't talk about their biryani. I wish I could give this place half a star.

Cloth table cloths on the tables and the waiters have cloth napkins drapped over their arms whitch is a nice touch at lunchtime. There is also a full bar!

Very Disappointed! Please consider this review in respect of Food Quality! Even after staying in Crofton for more than an year and hearing all the bad reviews for this place, on Sunday Nov 4 2018 we decided to go in person. We tried Sunday lunch buffet with the expectation that weekend buffet must be better than rest of the days and seriously the quality of food is very below to average, very less options to be called as buffet even after paying $15 per person. Being foodie i cant give them more than one star and being from North India the quality is not even average. I have been to many places for buffet and found very good places as compare to this in particularly to the quality of food. Guys you need serious improvement in your food quality. Hope you wont disappoint others.

I've been to Namaste six times over the past year. The food is always delicious and the staff is always attentive. I've tasted almost every vegetarian dinner option - they are all delicious. The lunch buffet is a steal and had many veggie options. They have specials like half priced bottles of wine on Mondays, and on their one-year anniversary there was complimentary wine and dessert.

This has been the best Indian dining experience I have had so far, every time we visit the manager or owner stops at the table to say hello and welcome us back. He also check in after we are served to make sure we are happy with our meal. This establishment is very customer service driven. We always get the same server and he gives recommendations when we want to try something new. He helps us find the right level of spice/heat for our dish and is very patient in answering our questions. I recommend chicken or veggie korma if you want to step away from tikka masala, the vindaloo is also very good. Im not a lamb eater but my bf recommends the lamb methi and the chai tea.

If you really enjoy great Indian food then you won’t want to miss this place. I have had friend from North Bethesda travel to this location for dinner. Let’s start with the goods: The owner is always on site and active in to getting to know his customers personally and welcoming them. He always manages to offer time to check on everyone so they have a great experience. If you are lucky enough, he will sometimes offer you a glass of complementary wine. He is truly a proud owner and takes pride in his establishment and quality of cuisine. This brings me to the environment. The restaurant is situated in the back of Princess plaza. It’s not worlds easiest location to get into, or the most beautiful of locations with its orange/ yellow exterior, however once you know about Namaste and the caliber of experience, it’s answers why the parking lot is always full. Namaste itself have a very open and beautiful atmosphere. It maintains a simplistic approach. It is always clean and the restrooms are equally as nice, clearly the staff takes pride in all aspects of the service. Now onto the quality and taste of the entrees. The food is amazing. So good! The beef, lamb, chicken or seafood all hit the mark. I have visited and tried most everything on the menu and I would be hard pressed to choose a favorite. I recommend a Sunday open buffet visit as a cost effective sampling of what there is to choose. So make some time check it out and enjoy!

I expected this place to be good based on good reviews on yelp and the prices being high but I was disappointed. We were a group of 5 people. The service was excellent but the food was terrible. If you think you like spicy, you may want to think twice, i ordered mild and it made my eyes tear up. My friend ordered spicy and he simply could not eat his food. Besides being spicy, their food sucked. Worst $20 lamb dish I had. No one in my group liked their food. Not recommended at all.

Manager greeted us at the entrance and offered free mango lassie drinks to my children as part of our take out! 1. Ordered takeout, nice place, food was good. 2. Second visit, ordered takout - not as good as the first time, some dishes were very bland while others were way over spiced, maybe a temporary cook was filling in? Despite these complaints, the chana masala was tasty! 3. Third visit, some dishes still heavily spiced but overall a good meal. 4. Fourth visit, noticed a price increase, cost $39 for two meals with naan bread...a bit too expensive for take out.

Can't say enough about how much I love this place. I've eaten here many times, and never had a dish that disappointed. Food is always fresh and delicious, nice atmosphere, very clean restaurant, and staff is the most polite that I have ever encountered. Dinner is incredible, but I love going for lunch. The buffet is very well priced, and soooo good. A fantastic selection, and always lots of options whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian. Plus free chai tea with your meal, and a dessert item or two.

Came for a lunch buffet on a weekday. I'm a type of person who actively seeks out Indian food. Namaste is most definitely an Americanized restaurant to appeal to non Indians. The curry and spices are not as intense. Mild. Compared to the surrounding area, it's probably the best indian food in a twenty mile radius. The options are not vast during the buffet times, but they do provide fresh naan bread with your meals (naan here is actually pretty amazing). Service is very solid here, but overall I wouldn't return because the authenticity.

You don't have to drive to Baltimore or DC for authentic Indian food. Namaste has amazing authentic Indian food. Rich spicy curry dishes, fresh hot naan, savory meat and sauces. Also, the service is outstanding. They take pride in their food and service and it shows. The atmosphere is well designed, artistic and comfortable.

We went with a toddler, and they had immediately accommodated us with service worthy of a michelin star, going well above and beyond expectations of any 5-star restaurant. The food, while solid and tasty, was not on the same level as the service; most dishes were simply unremarkable. The presentation on the saag was great, with well received ginger and tomato garnishes, but the texture and flavor were weak. Heat levels across all of our dishes were perfectly executed and exactly what was requested. Namaste is on the verge of being a very high-class restaurant (with $$-$$$ prices to match), but is suffering from a lack of personality and ingenuity in the food. If you haven't gone yet, I'd strongly recommend giving them a visit, even if it's just to experience the service.

We've been coming here for years and continue to enjoy it time and time again! It definitely feels like a more sophisticated Indian restaurant and the curries are always beautifully seasoned, the papadums taste crisp and fresh, and the selection of naan compliments whatever you end up choosing. My personal favorite is the Lamb Methi, and I haven't been able to find anything nearly as good anywhere else. Pro-tip: if you actually like it spicy, get it "Spicy." Medium doesn't always cut it.

What a fabulous addition to the area's dining choices. Please put on decent clothing (casual is fine but leave the t-shirts and shorts for McDonald's) and treat yourself to dishes that have bright mint (perfect for this summer heat and humidity), deep cumin (I think?), luscious yogurts and more, more, more. We must help this restaurant become a success!

Loved it! The customer service is superb and the owner remembered the family. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave suggestions which we tried.. Definitley returning. Wish I took pictures of the food. Keep in mind that medium spice maybe hotter than expected so go for mild and then once you taste it ask for extra spice. They have several different naan bread flavors to try. The one with cheese and the one with lamb were delicious. This is a place for family, a treat by yourself, or a date night with that special person in your life.

Oh man. Staff was super friendly and walked my family through the menu. We ordered a few appetizers Palak Chaat, Chicken Pakora and had the crisps that came with the meal and they were all delicious. The Palak Chaat was tasty, cooked well and left us wishing we ordered another. Staff and owner came by and were quite friendly. Prices were adequate for a well cooked and flavorful meal.

Stop reading reviews and go eat here now. This place is incredible. I have eaten at many different Indian restaurants all over the world, and this has been hands down my best experience. Each bite was like I had died and gone to heaven. I could have eaten the food off of the floor, it was so clean! The staff treat you like family. I am not over-exaggerating. Go see for yourself! P.S. We took our two toddlers and I immediately felt like I had make a huge mistake when I came in because it really is "fine dining," but we were completely welcomed and the staff loved playing with the kids. It was a fantastic experience!

Horrible Food, My family, my friends and their family came here on July 7th 2018, we came from 6 flags and we decided to have some Indian food. We saw that Namaste Indian Cusine was only 10 minutes away so we decided to go there. We ordered, ambience was ok but when the food came, it was disappointing, either everything was cold or it came too late, our appetizers came when the main food came and we ordered a dish as soon as we got there and it came when we got the check. The last dish wasn’t yummy at all, the food was horrible from the lassi’s to the main course. The only thing that I consider decent was the paneer butter masala and when we ordered it again, it was cold and horrible. The quantity was also too less for the price and they put the price too high for such horrible food. They billed us $400 which was ok considering how much we ordered. I will never come back even if it’s the last Indian restaurant in the world. And that manager was arguing whenever we said the dish isn’t good or you need to add more of something. This “restaurant” should be closed forever.

Best option for Indian food in Bowie/Crofton, hands down. Indian food is always pricey, but the portions are large enough to share, and the sauces (I've tried everything from butter chicken to vindaloo) are excellent. I normally carry out, but the restaurant itself is quite nice. Lots of Indo-Asian vibe (the owner is Nepali) and cozy seating. Only loses a star because it's too expensive to eat there more often.

Finally my search concluded in States for typical Indo-Chinese Food. Can't elaborate it but rather it's easy to say "just go eat and say what you have to say" . Main Servers Sebastian and Anthony's Hospitality was amazing. Chef Loson, No words to describe his Recipes .Has maintained the legacy of Indian Chinese food. Delightful time.

Always an enjoyable time when we visit our wonderful Namaste! Debendra greets us with a warm hello and the staff takes impeccable care of us. If you love authentic Indian food and haven’t tried this yet, make sure it’s on your to do list in 2019!! You won’t be disappointed.

Went there with Sunday with a friend and her 5 mo old baby. Staff were friendly and happy to entertain the baby. Beautiful interior. Service was quick and attentive. Had the lamb vindaloo and it was delicious. Happy to have leftovers for dinner tonight (pictured below). Can't wait to go back.
