Fun father's day brunch. Service is always exceptional. Food is delicious. Small caution on the bloody Marys, they tend to be on the horseradish side (which I love!) but may be unexpected for some. Will keep coming back.

The restaurant has very pleasant interior ambiance. However the food was very bland. We ordered pan seared tuna and the waitress kept asking if we wanted tuna to be cooked well done. If fresh, the fish is supposed to be seared outside and raw inside. So the staff should be better trained. We also ordered a few other items but were disappointed due to lack of flavor.

This is one of my favorite brunch place. They have best waffle, so crispy and warm. Their other food is also tasty and overall service is decent. I brought many of my close friends to here and they all enjoyed it. One time, my friend packed her left over waffle for her daughter and the server packed new warm waffle for her, free of charge. I would say that is a great customer service. This place is one of locals' favorite and they have never disappointed me for 5yrs.

Mosaic is an interesting refuge when shopping Rockville Pike & looking for simple but not fast food. Its menu is enjoyably French. I had Tuna Nicoise Salad, an all-time superb combo of greens, fresh tuna, onions, potatoes, egg, string beans (O mon dieu, missing!) tomatoes, olives & vinaigrette dressing. So great, I learned how to make it myself from Julia Child. Mosiac is comfortably a-cut above most with charming banquettes seating families & couples. It's a good sign when most are raving about their brunch dish. It comes at a small cost. But what doesnt, if everything on your plate is fresh! My salad with take home portion was $19.95... c'est la vie!

Made reservation. Seated timely. Server was kind but inefficient. Had to ask for coffee repeatedly. Had to leave the table and go find him. No spoons. Had to ask. A requested side asked for twice never made it to the table. One person's meal came out 20 minutes ahead of all others ordered at the same time. The only prompt thing he did was deliver and pick up gratuity before we finished eating. Suggest retraining for better guest service. Food was good and reasonably priced but not worth a trip back anytime soon.

This place was just OK for me. Food was average, in my view, and we had an issue with service, with food for one in our group being forgotten or arrived extremely slowly. Manager got involved, but they should have comoensated on the bill, but did not.

We love this waffle place. Calling it a waffle place is not giving sufficient credit for the innovative and tasty sandwiches and other concoctions. Food is well prepared and very good. Staff is friendly and helpful. The place is busy and can have a wait. We visit about every month and it has been constantly good.

Food is decent, not too special compared to some of the other brunch places. Service was exceptionally bad. We were seated at a broken table that had no business being in a restaurant despite the fact that there were at least 5 other empty tables. The table wobbled so hard that it was spilling drinks constantly. Waiter took our order and then drinks never came out. I had to flag 2 other servers before I could get a coffee. Food took 35 minutes to come out and was lukewarm. Had to ask for ketchup and syrup twice. Save your money and time and go to First Watch instead.

Have been coming here since its beginning and always find it to be delicious and homey. Now it also has a new urban chic which I am getting used to. It's pretty with lots of off white color that makes the space feel more open. I think it would benefit from some art on the walls for a bit of color. I had the flour less spinach quiche and arugula salad which was very good.

Went to Mosaic Cuisine last night. While the restaurant has a beautiful decor and excellent service, the quality of the food left much to be desired. Their Mosaic Mussels came with a very plain sauce and lots of sand. Not sure whether we are ever going to be back.

I used to work here. I forced to quit by the manager Eric because he does not believe women menstrual cramps are a good excuse to go home early. In fact he says we do not feel pain and are making up the symptoms. He said he has worked in the food industry for a long time and no one has ever said anything. Most of the people that work there are in their 50’s and 60’s and do not deal with period pain. Some are from other countries so they might be afraid to speak up and its more men that work with him. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST EATING at such a horrible place.

We decided to try this amazing restaurant tonight. We don't know how we've missed it all these years, but it's amazing. We started with the risotto goat cheese balls. My husband had the cod, and I had the chicken picatta! Wow! Amazing. The cod was perfectly seasoned with the perfect amount of browning. The chicken picatta was also amazing with wonderful vegetables and potatoes. Serving sizes on the entrees were wonderful! Dessert was their flourless chocolate waffle! Again, amazing. I nice crisp on the waffle. Delicious flavors. We also had a glass of wine. We felt the value for the pour was good as well! To top it off, our waitress was amazing! We cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back!

Although we enjoyed the smaller, more intimate location better, we still enjoy going to Mosaic Cuisine. The food is good and we always like to get an order of French Toast with Nutella . The Shrimp Omelette is Excellent and the customer service is outstanding. The two young Hostesses at the front door were very nice and our waitress Jeni was Great . We will definitely go back .

Place was packed and interior was very nice. Service was awesome! We had a slight hiccup in the beginning but the team was great and seemed genuinely apologetic. They staff definitely made us feel like we were welcome and wanted us to come back versus just another table coming in. Food was yummy and super waffle themed. The waffles were light with a it of crispness which goes well with everything. I do wish they had a few other food items other than waffles such as crepes but everything was absolutely delicious! This was a Sunday Brunch meal and we'll definitely be back again. Side note: Brunch is until 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays!

Hands down on of my favorite restaurants in the DMV area. The food is fresh and high quality in flavors and portions. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff were able to accommodate my baby by fixing her a plate of mashed potatoes. Food, vibe, and service was phenomenal. My wife and I got the Simple Sweet Waffle, the Mosaic Omelette, and the Eggs Benedict. Each dish was perfectly cooked and flavored. The waffles were crisp on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. The hollandaise sauce was tart and rich. A manager noticed we were saving one of our waffles for the end of the meal and offered to exchange it for a fresh one! We would recommend this place to friends and family in a heartbeat.

The ambience, the atmosphere and food is great, but the service is terrible. We waited 15+ minutes for the server to even acknowledge our presence, while he was chatting with another colleague in front of us. He fumbled our orders and never returned to our table. We had to flag down other servers to refill our drinks or take additional orders. We waited another half hour after asking for the check. I understand not wanting to disturb while eating or conversing. But having to flag down a different server for each request killed the mood.

Originally went for cocktails. Then when I saw a plate of Arancini that made my mouth water go by, I knew I had to have it. It was AMAZING! Just beautifully arranged on my plate. Fancy and delicious! I’ll definitely be back with some foodies friends.

What an amazing little gem! Went for weekday lunch - service was phenomenal and food was DELICIOUS! We had the flight of soups (Shiitake Potage and Chicken & Vegetable are worth getting your own bowl of) and the Paprika, Parmesan Chicken Picatta on Waffle with fries. The sandwich was recommended and it did not disappoint. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the waffle (fresh and hot) was the perfect way to keep the sandwich not feeling heavy. Will be back soon!

Came for dinner on Sunday evening. Beautiful interior. The decor is fabulous. We had a good meal. They had 86ed one of the apps and were out of a Chardonnay we wanted. On person who ordered cod felt the fish was overcooked. The dish it self was wonderful. We felt the server was a bit inexperienced for fine dining. Hopefully he will catch on. We will come back as the food and desserts we're really good.

Went here for a late brunch. Food was great at a great price. The decor is really nice. Family friendly, went with my 3 and 1 year olds and they were welcomed by the staff. While there were children there, it was still quiet enough to hold a conversation and hear the music playing overhead. The service was a little slow, but they were very courteous and and answered every question with a smile. We will be going back to try the lunch and dinner menus

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Mosaic Café. I went here for Easter brunch and the menu was great. The service was very fast and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Was excited to dine at Mosaic to try their french style cuisine. We were happy to be seated quite quickly since it wasn't very busy for a Sat. night and the ambiance was very nice. Ordered some small plates that were quite good and had the Beef Bourguignon, which was OK but not close to the standards of Europe , since I lived for 4 years in Brussels and their restaurants are fantastic. Their desserts were outstanding. Will give it another try in the future.

Great Service, Nice ambiance but Very mediocre food! We had a good brunch at Mosaic 2 years ago so i decided to try them for dinner this time and Man, it was a bad idea. Let me start by saying that their ambiance is pretty soothing and the decor was really nice. The waitress was very nice and helpful. That's probably it on the list of awesome stuff about this place. We were served free waffles and chive butter which was not a great combo because waffles were tasteless and the butter didn't have any flavor as well.We looked at the options and chose what looked the best to us. I ordered Grilled veggie sandwich with waffle bread. The waffle was soggy and tasteless, the hummus added to that sogginess and the veggies tasted as if they were boiled rather than grilled. I had to remove the waffled to eat the veggies at least so I wouldn't go home totally hungry. The sweet potato fries were the only edible thing on the plate. My hubby ordered the duck rolls. They look fancy as they come in bamboo steamer. He tried one bite and could.t eat any more because they were soggy, bread-y and tasteless. The waitress noticed that and took the duck off our bill which was nice! My friend ordered Pork Filet Mignon Medallions but again the flavors were missing and it was bland dish! Overall, I would go there for brunch but definitely not for dinner!

I ordered Eggs Benedict, very disappointed! The hollandaise sauce was terrible, just tasted like eggs no flavor. The only thing that was good was the Canadian bacon. I eat in many restaurants, in many different places. Please hire a chef that knows how to make hollandaise sauce. When someone loves eggs Benedict as much as I want great tasting Hollandaise sauce! This restaurant has a great vibe, especially on Sundays. Can be a bit busy with a wait time even after reservations have been made. My friends and I have always enjoyed the food, especially omelets and waffle sandwiches. One thing that could use improvement is the customer service- takes servers a good 20-30 minutes to attend to you once seated, slow without follow up to see if anything else is needed.

Mosaic Cuisine is a French style bistro with natural light from two windowed walls and spacious booth and table seating. Service is excellent. The waitress and two others made periodic stops to check on us, refill coffee, clear table, etc. All were pleasant. After a short wait, our breakfast was served, sufficient seasoning, delicious, and warm. Omelet was colorful and medium thick; waffles were light, airy and crispy; and potato latkes had a brown crust. Definitely will be returning!

We are traveling from out of town. This restaurant was close to our hotel and the menu looked very interesting. We were disappointed with both the service and the food. Once our entre was served, we didn't see the waiter again until we were finished eating. The food was not hot, just barely warm. The crab stuffed soul was bland. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Went last year august with a couple friends it was about 5 of us I got there first waited about 10-15 min to be seated no one ever came to seat me the hostess just looked at me never welcomed me or asked me if I needed assistance after waiting so long I seated myself once the rest of the group arrived we ordered our food it took a while before it came out food was good waiters were friendly until it was time to pay we all four of us paid with separate payments 3 decided to put tip and told me not to worry about it since it was enough tip for the waiter since I paid cash it was about $1 and change left I decided to let waiter keep in additions to the $40 + tip already being left once the waiter came back with our cards she confronted me a decided to ask me if she didn't provide proper service and why I left her a dollar tip I told her tip has been left for you she was like $1 not keeping in mind the rest of tip left for her from our table I gave her a blank stare she got the message and walked away overall food was good ambience was good waiter needed to check herself that's why I put 3 stars I should have reported her to her manager

I like Mosaic a lot for breakfast. But I tried it for dinner and was disappointed. I dined solo and just had appetizers. Peking Duck rolls are ok but not very flavorful. Salmon croquettes are very bland. Ok texture but was void of flavor, couldn't tell that any salmon was in it. And of course, as is typically the case, when you dine anywhere by yourself you are not high priority to the wait staff. We live 1/2 block away - It would nice to have a good dinner place to walk to. I'll stick to breakfast.

Update: dropped a star to 3. Portion, quality and service have all been significantly dropped. I like this place. Their brunch is my favorite. Waffle with egg benedict is one of the more unique one I have had. Omelettes are also really well done in general, latte is also very good. Easy to park, walk from nearby apartments possible as well. Service is usually very attentive and quick.

Amazing food, who knew you could do so many things with waffles?! We had omelettes that were hearty, smoked salmon rillet that blew my mind and don't get me started on the mango brie waffle sandwiches. Absolutely love it. Amazing service, everyone was very polite and attentive. The French 75s were great and the chocolate waffle dessert was to die for! The restaurant itself was very lovely. Will be back many times! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a wide variety of food options with a fun twist thanks to all of the waffles.

Food was very good. Service was very good. We had a party of 7, and we split the check. My brother and I were both charged for two iced teas, but they fixed that promptly. The menu on their website does not list the prices. My sister and I each got the Beff Burgundy ($23), and ended up having to take some home because it was a lot. I would come here again.

I just went to Mosaic to grab a quick drink before catching the bus home. I used to live at 194 Halpine Road for a year and I've worked at the plaza opposite Mosaic for five years. And I've eaten at Mosaic in the past and have enjoyed their menu. The restaurant was empty except for one group in the middle of the restaurant. I was greeted by someone at the front and I was given a menu. I told her I was just having a glass of wine. And then that person disappeared. I sat at my table for about 10 minutes and no one came to my table. So I left. If it were busy I'd understand, but except for that one table, the restaurant was dead. Maybe I wasn't dressed nice enough. But I feel absolutely snubbed. Fran
