Love the buffets here on the weekends! The owner is super nice as well. I recommend the schezwan fried rice! Tip: Make sure to come in early on the weekends for the buffet as it tends to get a bit crowded.

Overall ambience is good, owner was welcoming, spacious place. Went for weekday lunch buffet. Most of the dishes I had were too bland(missing both salt and species) sambar looked like Rassam with just floating radishes. Tomato rice was just tomato colored rice, pakoda were oily and cold, palak paneer had weird tangy flavor, chicken Tikka and butter chicken were decent. I am disappointed, not sure if the food quality is better for weekend or dinner meal.

My family and I tried Mango Grove while visiting from Connecticut. The food was amazing! So many vegan and vegetarian options and everything was delicious. The service was amazing and the owner even took time to welcome us and explain everything on the menu. I am vegetarian and gluten free and it is very hard to find a restaurant that has food options for me, let alone delicious food options. Mango Grove even has a gluten free, lentil bread so I didn't have to feel left out when the bread was brought to the table. Definitely go! You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience. We have a LOT of dietary restrictions. Gluten, dairy, onion, garlic, nuts, peanuts, etc. One of us needed vegan, one of us needed meat, one of us doesn't do spicy AT ALL, and one likes it fiery hot. To be honest, I was afraid we'd be a huge inconvenience and expectations for service or availability of food was low. Bot was I wrong! The staff created special foods for us off menu and kept us filled up and informed which dish was appropriate for whom. We were all satisfied, and safe! !!! I cook Indian myself at home. My friends had never eaten Indian. We both left happy. Excellent staff, excellent food, excellent experience. Would make this a regular stop if I lived in the area. Will probably go there any time I'm near.

Amazing vegan and vegetarian food – definitely a destination in itself. We went for dinner and then returned with family for brunch. Every dish clearly had heart and soul put into it – not your average Indian spot with tikka masala and butter chicken. The service was excellent. We had the same waiter both times and he remembered our dietary restrictions and helped us navigate the buffet. If I ever end up in this part of the country again I'll definitely return to Mango Grove.

This actually pains me to write this review. I have been going to Mango Grove for a few years now. The food has always been good. Only complaint I’ve had before today was that the food on the buffet line isn’t always hot. Today however, I saw something that my eyes cannot unsee. As my sister and I were leaving the restaurant, she went under the table to grab her bag. Then she saw it. Right there beside her bag, a roach trap. That’s right. A roach trap underneath our table! What makes it worse is that there were actually roaches stuck to the trap!!!

WORST INDIAN PLACE TO GO. They overprice food like no tommorow and the quality of their food makes you want to throw up. It took them 30 minutes to make my food. I told them to just give me the food to go and the staff had such an attitude about it. I hope no one has as terrible of an experience I had there.

Staff ignores some patrons (from India) while are more attentive towards others. Staff doesn't provide information on what is included in the buffet unlike other indian restaurants in the area. We visited this restaurant few weeks back. I usually don't write review unless the experience was very good or very very bad. In this case it was very very bad. Multiple issues with this restaurant. 1. Service: it is so bad that I would not set my foot in this place if this was the last Indian restaurant left in the area. We had a 5 year old kid with us and we told them specifically and way ahead of time to get his plain Dosa out ASAP and before all food. However, I had to ask the people 4 times and it did not come out until after more than half of our food out (nearly 30 to 45 minutes) during which time the 5 year old was sitting hungry. We never had this problem in any place we ever visited. 2. Other than their signature dish "Kashmiri Aloo" everything was very low in quality and taste. We ordered nearly $130 worth of food that was the only thing worth eating. They are highly disorganized and don't tend to bring food in right order or time. For example you may have all the curries out and no rice or nan to eat with. 3. We asked to make our food spicy which my server did write it down because I saw him doing so. Even then our food came out to be super bland and when we asked about it, then the guy who brought our food out, brought some chili for us. I guess if I need to just eat chili on top then I would get frozen food which is about same quality & taste and just add chili on top. Much cheaper to do that. 4. Prices are way to high for the quality and service. There is another Indian restaurant within 4 miles of this place and their service and quality is very good. Their prices are about same.

Okay, we just went on a day-date to Mango Grove last week It reminded me that this place needs a more robust review. For the record, we live in D.C. The drive to MG is 40 minutes each way. It's 100% worth the trip Their lunch buffet is amazing. In fact, we've never had anything resembling a non-awesome experience. Jack fruit is lights out, and they have this crazy-good broccoli dish that is broccoli the way the universe intended I'm vegan. My wife isn't. We both leave this place in delightful food comas. The staff is super kind and friendly. Honestly, I'm already looking forward to another road trip to this joint!

This place is awesome. After seeing a so-so rating on Google, I took me a while to go eat at Mango Grove. I am so glad I did. I have been there several times for their buffet, which is bountiful. There are so many delicious options. Ive eaten a lot of Indian food, and they regularly have things I haven't seen before. I also get carry out from time to time. Everything is always delicious, and I value that they are a vegetarian restaurant.

We've never been disappointed. Absolutely delicious food, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. This place is soooooo great. I just moved back from Florida and this was my first time here. I had the vegetable korma so creamy and delicious. The owner Raul is the bomb , so friendly and even explained the history of how his two restaurants came together to create what is the amazing Mango Grove. The price for this place is pretty steep so bring your appetite. I'm by no means a vegetarian but this place has it for people of all types. The vegetarian portion is packed with so many flavors and styles that I had to rethink my lack of vege eating. I'm in love with this place even if it may be a monthly visit. This place is a treat for everyone and the mango yogurt drink was amazing and helped soothe the spiciness of the food. Wish there was more stars to give but definitely a cut above the rest.

It was a year ago when I first visited the Mango Grove. Recently, I had some take out from here and really enjoyed it. I am really impressed by variety of foods they have. I never been to an Indian restaurant that has Chinese influenced dishes. Indo-Chinese menu was stand out from other local Indian foods joints. Normally, I like lambs when I go to Indian restaurant but the Mango Grove's chicken dishes are to die for! Also, if you're looking for less Americanized Indian foods I think this is the place to go. I haven't tried their lunch buffet yet but it looked really nice. I'd try to go sometime soon.

Came second time in ten days. Awesome food but extremely louzy service. As I am writing this review, i have been waiting for my appetizer for over 30+ minutes. Host is very friendly ONLY if you can find her or call her on your table in typical Indian Dhaba style by raising your hand. Again, I will give 10 out of 10 on food. But, 1 out of 10 in service. Or perhaps (-2). Upon complaining, the answer I got was that they were busy with Take-Out order. (IF I MAY SUGGEST, NEVER COMPROMISE "DINE IN" FOR TAKE OUT). Conclusion:~ Please hire one more host and few more waiters. Cutting corners like this will never put you on top list despite having great food. People come to restaurant for a good experience, if you kill that, you will hurt your business tremendously. Hope things will change next time. If not, i am done with you.....

Food was not that great and wasn't always cooked to order. Pictures in the menu are deceiving, where the quantities were misrepresented. Service was ok, but the servers bothered the table too much. If there was something that could be improved on, I would recommend starting with the menus design and accuracy. The only thing I really could appreciate was the music and somewhat clean environment. I would not recommend this to any family attending. This is not a review of the bar.

Mango Grove provides THE tastiest Indian food in the area in addition to having almost all vegetarian/vegan items. Broccoli 65 is fire as are the soups, and chickpea salad. Staff and owners are so kind and welcoming. Their lunch buffet is inexpensive (slightly more on the weekend) and worth every penny. If you're craving delicious Indian food, Mango Grove is the place for you!

Rudest Server/Supervisor ever. I am writing this to the owner of this restaurant that if you would really like to expand or grow your business, you have to really hire the server(he seems to be the supervisor on this day 03/02/2019) who knows how to deal with the customer patiently. We 12 people came for dining including kids and we all were completely upset and disturbed the way that person handles us from the start to the end such as why you guys have ordered just 5 dishes for 12 people and etc.. He made a couple of trips asking the same question and gave us a teachings as well. His body language was so annoying and very much irritative and Seriously we thought of walked away that moment itself. He was lucky that he just talked to us, if it is some one else they would have shouted at him instantly.. After the meal, we went and asked him why were you so aggressive and he asked us that do you care about the servers? WOW, what an attitude!!!! We can't even stand to his talk as he has been so argumental.... YOU DEFINITELY LOST US AND WE WILL NEVER COME BACK. By the way, the food was good. My 1 star rating is for food only...

We love Mango Grove food. The location is sort of inconvenient, but the food is worth the drive. My wife got us hooked on the veggie biriyani, which is amazing. It has two spice levels, medium and spicy. The medium is spicy enough that my daughter won't touch it, but it's perfect for most people. I've never had a bad meal here. My preference is for takeout, as that keeps the price in check, but it's nice to eat in-house on occasion. If your looking for great vegetarian and vegan friendly Indian food then you'll love Mango Grove.

I hadn't been here in years. It used to be all vegetarian food. I now eat meat, but still went knowing it would be yummy. I was pleasantly surprised to find there usual well stocked vegetarian buffet, but then in the corner were three or so meat options including butter chicken, which is about 95% as good as the holy Grail of Indian food-chicken Tikka masala. Everything was really good. And the mango lassis are excellent.

Good selection of food, however, buffet items need to get extremely low before items are replenished... There should be ample supply of all items in the buffet at all times, as informing the staff items are low adds another 10-15 min while the kitchen staff cools more.

I just had my dinner with my friends and family today. We got really bad service today. First thing I can say that they did not gave papad. We asked them for papad after that they gave us papad but it was not crispy at all. After I ordered my main food. I ordered kaju korma. However, I did not taste like kaju taste in that gravy. I was feeling like I am eating navaratan korma. When I told server to taste that item. He was not tasting and not accepting that it was not kaju korma. I also ordered Palak paneer but it was just tasting like just palak grind in mixer and paneer added in that gravy with salt. It didn't taste any masala.it was just plain taste. We didn't like it. I will never go there again in my life. Worse service ever got today and they are charging 20% on bill for gratuity. I want to give zero star but I don't have option to give it. If any business that does not want hear customer requests and does not want to accept their mistake or understand customer. I don't think so they can improve their products.

Just an amazing place. Everything on the menu is delicious...even the stuff I don't normally like. From being welcomed with namaste to finishing with a warm, mild chai, the experience was great. This is a don't miss restaurant if you want excellent Indian food. Great for vegetarians as they use separate kitchens for meat and vegetarian menus.

I'm a vegan for two years. I've been to many great vegan restaurants in California and here in the DMV area. This place is great and deserves a five star review. Excellent customer service and industry standard prices. Fair quality food.

I went here for the first time yesterday with my husband and friend. It was the best Indian food any of us had eaten in a long time! The “medium” spice level was perfect for us (still spicy, but not overly so) and everything was delicious. I was also THRILLED to find an Indian restaurant where everything was vegetarian or vegan. We had so many options! We ended up sharing the vegetable samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Dal Tadka, and Broccoli 65. I honestly can’t wait to get home and eat the leftovers for dinner tonight. I’m so excited to have found a new, delicious Indian restaurant in the area. Our server was also SO nice (to be honest, it was the best service I’ve ever had at an Indian restaurant)! My husband and I can’t wait to go back!

I had really high expectations of the food based on photos and the 4.5 stars reviews but I am really disappointed food wasn’t fresh , among the plates I order the samosa was the worst as if it was frozen and just microwaved , I love Indian cuisine for its flavors but this didn’t meet the expectations I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Food was ok Poor customer services. I had to ask for naan and thn had to wait for it, Major issue: I was running late so I ask the person on counter for a paper cup so that I can grab a cup of tea, He said taking out anything is not a part of buffet. I should hv sit down and drink the ear was fine but cannot take it out, that is horrible customer services,. Not going thete again for sure.

We had to wait a little for the table, and at the end for Mysore coffee, but just about everything we ordered was delicious, including both north and south Indian dishes. The food arrived very quickly, and the service was great. Best okra we've eaten in a while, excellent butter chicken, great idli and Mysore dosa. Hadn't visited in a while, it was worth the wait! The staff was also very accommodating of special requests (such as holding the potato onion masala in the dosa), and the clincher was that they had the fennel seeds (sauf) *without* the stupid sugar in it!

Simply the best Indian food. Their menu is authentic Indian from all regions, and the quality of their cooking is the best I have had from any Indian restaurant. I grew up in the area and have sampled all, but mango grove reigns king!

Absolutely fantastic! My vegan girlfriend and I loved the weekend lunch buffet. Tons of options for vegans and non-vegetarians alike. Neither of us had the non-vegetarian options, but if they are anything like the vegan options, they are incredible. We had never been here before so I asked for the server to show us around the buffet and he made excellent suggestions and was very nice. Wonderful staff! Price wise, the buffet was very cost effective. Less than $16~ per person. Overall, in my top favorite restaurants around Baltimore. Will definitely return and recommend everyone to try!
