Good food! Gracias! Very flavorful and a good amount.
Traveling about 900 miles to go here is well worth it of course the company was just as great.
We dine at Mi Casa several times a year. Best salsa around. I particularly like that shredded beef is used in entrees instead of ground beef. This visit I had the special, which was a beef burrito covered in Texas chili (also a special by cup or bowl). My wife had her favorite, the chicken chimichanga. As usual, the food and service were great. I am baffled by reviews claiming the portions are small (those reviewers must be able to eat a lot more than the average person), the prices are high (no, they're competitive) or the food isn't "authentic." We asked for more salsa and chips this visit, we were not charged and I cannot recall ever having been charged for this.
Excellent Mexican Cafe. Nice bar good TVs excellent food. Can't say enough about Rocky! He runs the place he remembers your name just a nice guy all the way around.
Great food and good service. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Very delicious and authentic Mexican food. I have been eating here for 13 years. My sons favorite place to enjoy a delicious mexican cuisine.
Good food...I love the chile verde...
Love this place. Just had dinner there tonight. The "Mexican Casserole" was incredible! Large portions, deliciously prepared home made food, plus a friendly and efficient staff. Been going for over 15 years.
Easy to find and nice decor. Fast and friendly service. Real golden margaritas, and real Mex food.
Can't recommend this place enough! Traditional and TexMex dishes provide a lot of variety and flavors to choose from. The staff is proud and always excited about their specials, which have never let us down. My go to order is the Beef and Chicken Chimichanga. Can't possibly complain about portioning as I rarely finish the whole thing. My fiancee and i come here at least once a month - our go to restaurant.
Solid food, return customers are known and owners make them feel appreciated
We have been eating at Mi Casa regularly for the past eight years. The food is always good and the service is great. Prices are reasonable. My wife and I are Mexican food fans and Mi Casa is the best in Maryland.
Food good but small portions for the price. My rating is directed at the dirty ladies room. Horribly dirty. Big turnoff at an eating establishment.
We just returned from an unexpected dinner out at Mi Casa. We were greeted by a warm and friendly staff and had a plentiful and delicious delicious dinner. Margaritas were great and we shared a new sweet dessert . Looking forward to a return visit soon with friends.
This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Food is very good and prices are good too. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. They also have negro model on tap - one of my favorites. If you have not been here I suggest you give it a try.
So PERFECT!!! Service is impeccable, food divine, atmosphere very cool. Perfect menu with very reasonable prices. Will be back often, and spreading the word as I type this post. <3
A favorite go-to spot when I want some cheap "Mexican" food. Service is friendly and fast. Food may not be the most authentic but tastes just fine.
We love Mi Casa. The food is superb. Everything is freshly made. Best Mexican restaurant in Ellicott City. The management is very friendly and greets you by name.
What tasteful food. Great service. Good place to go for lunch.
Mi Casa has been my wife's and my favorite local spot for Mexican cuisine for years. The staff is always friendly, the food is as good as it gets around here, and the ambiance is pleasant. It's not the party place that the La Palapa in Ellicott City is, but if you're just looking for a quiet enjoyable experience, it's good.
Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Howard County! Food is always delicious and the service is exceptional! Our favorite once a week go to for the best fajitas and tacos.
People really suck for going to Chipotle and Qdoba instead, when you have the best authentic Mexican food right up the street. I have been coming here for 10+ years with my family and they've always treated us right. I love Mexican food, and I've tried almost every Mexican restaurant in the area, but none of them can top it here!
The service and food were awesome. The prices are fair and the atmosphere friendly. I really had a great experience with Asha and I'll definitely be back soon.
Very good very convenient! Excellent service.
The food was god but the staff made the lunch perfect. Anticipating the needs of the table and making sure we had what we wanted stands out to me and gets this place a 4 star review.
Great home cooked meals. Friendliest service ever.
Food wasn’t bad, service was ok. Restaurant looks nice.
Soo rude but the food was good
Quiet and good food
This is my favorite place for Mexican food (my favorite cuisine). Mi Casa is a small restaurant that serves delicious food. The owner and servers ALL give you excellent customer service. I've probably tried 75% of the menu items and can highly recommend anything they offer.
Food was excellent! Highly recommend. Wait staff was friendly. Get the JD whisky fajitas- you won’t be disappointed! We’ve also tried the chimichangas and the enchiladas. Apps- we’ve had the tacitos and flautas. We brought our family from out of town here and everyone loved their food! We will be back again soon!
Best tortillas ive had, really friendly service. Awesome food and drink. Fajitas kill the game. Perfect early evening dinner spot for me when im in the mood for great mexcian food. Thanks Rocky!
Great authentic Mexican food. Good service. Owner came around to every table. Very nice atmosphere. Will def be coming back!
Food was good but service was bad. Several things wrong with our order. One of our party didn't get their food until a half hour after everyone else. Asked for water several times and didn't get it until an hour after we sat down. They were nice and apologetic and I understand everyone has off nights but it was frustrating.
I can’t believe people could say anything bad about this place. The food is phenomenal EVERY single time I go in. I’ve been busy lately and haven’t gotten up there, but never the less, EVERYTIME I call for take out, the owner is always happy to speak to me and STILL remembers my order. Incredible service, incredible food, and worth every penny you spend here.
I ordered a combo with burrito and enchilada. The food was okay but nothing remarkable. The regular margarita was pretty good. Service was slow. There were no happy hour specials.
Good food, nice family run place. Nothing too special on the menu that blew me away yet, but all solid.
Long established restaurant with different and delicious twists on traditional favorites. Authentic and home made. Quick and attentive staff too. A bit pricey for me but still good.
Love this small restaurant! Great food! Support a local business!
Always delicious!!!
Great food, and service
Loved the food and drinks, quality of food was very good
This place seems to be hit or miss for us. We have been there a half dozen or so times in the past several years and the experience has varied widely. Some visits the service is on point and the food is so-so, other times the slowness of the server is painful, but it is compensated for by the food. You can certainly so worse, but not my 'go-to' spot for good Mexican food.
The food and the service are outstanding! I also love the decor.
My wife and I stopped on a Friday evening for dinner. We were seated quickly with Ana as our server. It was National Margarita Day we opted for a celebratory drink. Our meals arrived quickly and were hot and fresh from the kitchen. Service and food we're great throughout the meal.
Delicious, fresh, tastes more like authentic home-cooked food than restaurant.
Qdoba and Chipotle are within view of this restaurant but THIS is the real deal.
Bad service and bad food with no seasoning or good flavor.
Ordered a seafood chimichanga with rice and black beans, tasted great, only issue is that it was completely covered in a red sauce which is not what I prefer but will ask them not to do the next time I go
Very good food and a friendly staff
Best enchiladas I have ever eaten! And Negra Modelo on tap! I'll be back!!
The Food is Great, the Beer is Cold, and the Servers make you feel right at Home. Highly Recommend.
Love love love love this place!!!! I highly recommend everybody to this restaurant and they're never disappointed! The owner is fantastic and extremely friendly. The food is to die for!!
The service was excellent and the food was really good. However, it was a bit pricey for what you were actually getting. I would have rated this higher of their prices were more in line with the food quality. Still...a great place to go, just a bit pricey.
Great food at a reasonable price.
Service was fast. The food was good just wish some of my nachos weren't burnt.
Great cheese enchiladas!! And major bonus points for carrying HI-C pink lemonade!
Food is awesome I have had this for a long time and have not stopped coming rice is good beans are good the nachos and chips and salsa is incredible. Probably the best Mexican food in the world. Would highly recommend for any type of interest. Great atmosphere aswell!
Excellent staff, food and atmosphere. Great for party, rehearsal dinners and family dinners.
Good service. Over priced for lunch as they have no lunch menu. Nothing special about this mexican food spot.
Excellent service, excellent food, will be returning. For 1 beer, 1 appetizer, 2 adult entrees, 3 kid quesadillas, and 2 fried icecream, we spent short of 100 dollars. Money well spent .
Great atmosphere & food. Owner is very personable and generous!!!
Great food and family owned atmosphere. Their margaritas are consistently good, and the generous helpings of food make this a go to place for my family. The staff is always friendly, great service.
With so many options on ty 40, this authentic Mexican restaurant is one of my favorites. It’s a cozy, intimate setting but can seat parties over 10 and the location is right off of 29 for ease. Many of the special drinks are available all year round but the food and genuine flavor is the home Run. Brunch is our family’s preferred choice of time but considering there is not a lot of room it can get busy fast. I have had the fish, chicken and beef and all were great. If you love or even like authentic Mexican cuisine, this is a must!
Always great food
Best Mexican food in the area. Authentic and fresh. Service was great also. Must try.
The food was amazing! Great service. Second time there. We will be back again. Very friendly atmosphere.
We very much enjoyed our delicious lunch at Mi Casa. The chips and salsa were great, and the margarita authentic and tasty. Best of all was the chicken whiskey fajitas that were fantastic. They were perfectly cooked with a rich sauce. It didn't taste like whiskey, but had a wonderful flavor. The toppings and beans and rice went perfectly with it. We'll be back for that meal again soon.
It was okay, literally just okay place to get some.wuick fajitas or burritos. Friendly service though
The areas best ...
Excellent experience.
Great service and tasty, flavorful food!
I love this place! Legit Mexican food. And they even have Horchata!
Great food and service
Authentic Mexican Food, fast service, great prices.
Expensive Mexican food and extremely slow service. I ordered spinach salad with grilled chicken. I got the spinach salad with chicken pieces fried in onions and no the grilled chicken. Interestingly, there was raw onions on the salad also. Awful.
Fresh tasting food. Their home made salsa and chips are the best. Atmosphere is enjoyable and one of my favorite places for Mexican food.
The food and service are always excellent.
Been coming here for a long time. Best fajitas I've had anywhere. Very well seasoned. Always enjoy the guac and queso + chips. They treat us very well, and the kids love it too. Ask for the spicy habanero sauce as a hot side to your chips or meal. Not on the menu but the owner makes it.
As always, the food is fantastic, the portions generous, and the pricing is great.
I was sad that we spent $30 here for two people and were not satisfied, we had to stop and get a pizza on our way home. I am from San Diego and used to authentic Mexican food with authentic portions. We ordered chips and queso ($6.50) for our appetizer. The cheese was too thick and it came out in this tiny dish with not enough chips to even use up that small amount of cheese. My husband and I ordered a burrito to share, the fiesta burrito, "the big one" according to our waiter. It was $14.95, which is more than double what I would normally pay for a good giant burrito (see picture). When they brought it out, it took my husband and I a minute to realize that THAT was our "big" burrito. We also ordered a side enchilada for my husband ($3.95) which was also disappointing and sad. I think their goal is to be an upscale Mexican restaurant, but the food quality of itself was not even very impressive. Our burrito had steak in it, which was fabulous, but it was really lacking the grilled veggies promised on the menu. It was quite bland. I would not recommended this location to anyone, nor will we be returning.
We love this place. Great food. Friendly staff, who make you feel at home. Highly recommend.
Obviously a popular neighborhood spot. We waited 10 minutes for a table, which was okay, but no wait area. The waiter was abrupt and not friendly. Food was average to good authentic Anericam-Mexican food. We were disturbed by the chips in the holding warmer, exposed to walking traffic in the hallway to the bathroom!
The food and drinks were okay--I wouldn't drink the sangria again. They had modelo negra on tap so that was a plus. It was a cozy location - everything looked clean. Just didn't have that wow factor when it came to the food.
Consistently great food. Friendly service. They make you feel right at home.
Delicious and fresh. I love that they use shredded meat instead of ground. Terrific salsa. Quiet atmosphere.
First time visitor. The "special" steak fajitas (marinated in an alcohol base sauce - not the regular ones) were the BEST fajitas I have ever tasted. The veggies were cooked to perfection, the beef was tender and a little sweet -- perfect! .
Awesome place for real Mexican food and it's very tasty. The food is fresh and I'll definitely be back
Really enjoyed our meal here. Went for lunch, server and owner were attentive and friendly. Nice to have a good Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. We will be back.
Mi casa in Ellicott city is HEAVEN ON EARTH. They played the favorite song from my childhood - Cafe Mocha!!! I used to play that song on long family trips. I didn't have a great childhood due to all the trauma, but this song is a sip of lemonade on a hot summer day. The music was phenomenal, the drinks were perfect, and the ambiance was priceless. There's just something so quaint and quintessential about this bar - maybe it's the great service, maybe it's the location. Every human being should stop Mi Casa once in their lifetime
Doesn’t deserve any stars. Came in to have a nice dinner with my mother and the service was slow and I had patience since I was a server myself. My mother’s drink had no mango flavor in it at all and actually ending up putting sugar in it to make it bearable. The whole staff is rude , especially the manager/owner that refused to take my food off the bill which I did not enjoy and barely ate at all. He lied to my face and yelled at me for eating my whole plate when 95% of it was there. I paid and left.
Great vegetarian food. All homemade. A little pricey but good. Normal kids meal. My husband has severe shellfish allergy and we had no issues here.
Great place to find quality Mexican food!
Overpriced $20 seafood fajitas described as "shrimp, scallops, and crab" had literally ONE scallop, perhaps 1/2 tsp of shredded crab, and some shrimp. Served with a plate of flour tortillas, bit of lettuce, cheese, tomato, sour cream, and guacamole. Not impressed. And I had to ask for chips and salsa!!!
Food and service were wonderful and are every single time we go.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in Howard County! Best chips and salsa hands down.
Food was great. Just wish they had fresh made lime margarita.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. It is locally owned and serves the highest quality food. Everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Try the seafood burrito. Avoid the food chains and treat yourself to better food at the same price.
Great experience with good quality food!
Puga was personable and gave great customer service. The food was authentic Mexican food...very good! Drinks were awesome! Will definitely return.
Delicious. Made from scratch. Excellent service. Chips and salsa were phenomenal. When you ask for spicy - be prepared for SPICY. Chile relleno were out of this world. Not a lot of selection, but everything was fresh and well prepared.
Excellent Texmex food. Management and servers welcoming, friendly, attentive. Prices reasonable.
Always good food.
Authentic. Highly recommend the Chicken Chimi and a Margarita... you can work it off at the gym lol
I've been going here since they opened. The food is always very good. The service is always great. The atmosphere is ok but the friendly quick service and good food is why Mi Casa is five stars. If I'm going out for Mexico I'm going to Mi Casa.
Excellent food. Amazing Service! Nachos are on point. Nothing but good things to say about this family owned restaurant!!! And no I'm not a bot, this is a great spot in EC.
First time. Exalent, really tasty.
Food very poorly done
We eat here on the regular. The food is consistent, and comes out fast. Fajitas, enchiladas, and soft tacos are all good. The salsa is pretty good, and this place does not use cilantro, which is a plus in my book.
I've been coming here for several years. The food, staff, and service are amazing! The seafood dip is a must. I also love their seafood dishes, chicken cancun, and stuff pablano pepper.
Very well organised and convenient spot. They offer big meals and for fair prices. I loved the food a lot and the staff were super amiable and informative. Will definitely recommend this place.
Excellent Mexican restaurant, a bit more expensive than I was expecting, but it is higher in quality too. Our young kid had a good time, everyone was nice to us when she started being annoying. One of the waiters looked like Dwight Schrute and apparently he gets that all the time.
I really love this restaurant. The food is always served hot and fresh which is a plus . The reason why I didnt give it 5 stars is because the last 2 times I've been there the chicken and steak was cooked to done. Very dry. I'm going to request how I want my meat to be cooked next time.
The hot sauce is HOT, and delicious. Great place to come for a date night or family dinner.
I've never had a meal here. I've been going since they were in the way old and long gone Chatham mall
We arrived at 7pm on a Friday, we walk in 3 workers state & no one greeted us. We were told by customers that they were all waiting. The host along with a server & bartender walked past 3-4 times, and then the host finally acknowledged us and let us know that 2 families were in front of us. We say okay only good thing is we waited 10 mins or so then we were seated. Our server who was the bartender wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu. I asked her if there were any drink specials she says yes Tequila & pineapple. I order the drink. I ask for food recommendations she says everything is good. I ask what’s spicy she said everything is spicy. I ordered the red hot peppers (just some store jalapeño poppers w cream cheese) and the Chili Relleno Con Pollo. My entree was sitting in their window for a while bcus the plate was scorching hot when it came out. The top layers of my rice and beans were dry and my pepper was no longer crispy bcus the sauce dried into the “beer battered coating” and continued to dry while I waited for our server/bartender for 10 mins after my food was dropped off. I sent it back and was not interested in anything else. The other order at my table had tacos, tasted regular. While we were waiting and eating we noticed every other family that entered after us received a greeting. Employees were yelling from across the restaurant to try and greet customers. The table next to us came in as we asked for our check and asked if they had specials the bartender told them no. Our server/bartender brings us the check and my drink is $8. After returning 10 mins after dropping the check off i Asked about the special and she wasn’t able to explain why she said the drink was on special. Overall a terrible experience and i won’t be back. For AUTHENTIC Mexican try Pollo Feliz, 5 mins down rt. 40, AMAZING service, no pre-made margaritas, and $2 tacos on Tuesday!
Food is ok but very expensive and very small potions. Service is also bad. Would not recommend and visit again.
We love Mi Casa. Great food and service
Honey whiskey chicken fajitas are primo. Get them if you only visit once.
Service is great and friendly Food is fresh and delicious
Filling but nothing special. Dime a dozen. Very pricey for ordinary fare.
Ok food. Overpriced
Authentic food with a homestyle, comfortable atmosphere. Great place to sit down and enjoy traditional Mexican fare.
Best Mexican restaurant and best salsa ever.
Always a wonderful experience. Great food and wonderful staff!
Mi Casa is a Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurant in Ellicott City that doesn't get a whole bunch of attention. The location certainly isn't prime and it definitely doesn't catch one's eye while driving by. I stopped by here with a large group after a football game and while it was a pleasant experience, there's certainly room for improvement. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll notice that it's got a pleasant atmosphere but it isn't anything special or for that matter, anything that will keep you coming back. Like many other restaurants, you get free chips and salsa and the salsa is fantastic and is served in a little tortilla bowl-- a nice touch. The food is good but you can do better in this area. However, the entree I ordered (Chicken Cancun) was simply fantastic and the gravy was extremely decadent and delicious. Still, the appetizers were just alright and the portions were a bit small given the high prices. Service was perfectly acceptable as well. Still, if you're looking for a superbly fun and welcoming atmosphere paired with great food, look elsewhere. If you're in the area and need some quick Tex-mex cuisine, then stop in at Mi Casa.
Really great and accommodating atmosphere
Cozy little (and I do mean little) hole in the wall. The staff was attentive and friendly, the restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the food was delicious. Great price for the amount of food per serving. Highly recommend.
My wife and I returned here after not visiting for nearly ten years or so. We have been frequenting other Mexican locations in the area and found them quite good but wanted to give this place another try. The food was good and the service was also just fine. The issue that I had was they only brought two tortillas for a large fajita dinner and then charged us $.75 for an extra tortilla on a $17 dinner. In addition, they state clearly on their menu that more than one basket of chips will cost $3.50 and the basket is not really big. Neither of these charges are encountered at other Mexican restaurants in the area. I approached the owner as we left and told him the food and service was good, but shared my dissatisfaction with the "nickel and diming" approach. He quickly defended their position and told me about his costs and such .. I quickly told him that his competition didn't do the same and he should consider that and his response was to belittle his competition. He then told me he appreciated my feedback and I said "it sure doesn't seem that way and we won't be back".
We can't believe that we just tried this long time Ellicott City staple the other week (on a Friday night). It came highly recommended and it certainly didn't disappoint when we finally decided to check it out! Unpretentious, good service, not too crowded, and excellent fajitas. We will definitely be back.
One of our favorite places to get Mexican food. Service is warm and inviting. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious and served fast and hot. Full service bar. TV's for viewing usually sports.
Always satisfying
Great food, great atmosphere. The chimichangas were out of this world! Will go back more and more!
Everything was delicious! We also really appreciated that they asked on a scale from 1-5 how spicy we liked it. I got the chili verde which is a stewed pork dish. The flavor of everything was great. We also got the flan which was a cool yummy way to end the meal. We'll be back!
Authentic food best around excellent service
For 21 years, Mi Casa has delivered quality Mexican food at a reasonable price. We love the food, atmosphere and staff so much we've been going ever since they opened!
Mexican restaurant with good food. But needs a re modelling of its space. The food specially the Entree Veg Enchiladas were really good. The chips and salsa tasted prefect. So overall food was good. But surely the place and ambiance needs lot of work. On Saturday evening ot looked very dull and specially the Sofa's need to be changed. If somebody is sitting on the sofa behind you then the couch keeps moving as if u r on seesaw and trying to find the right balance. This literally wasted our whole meal and it is not just with one table it's with all the tables
Food was amazing, staff was great
