REVIEWS OF Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament IN Maryland

Jake Bunton

A queen, her guard, knights, jousting, sword & weapon play, horses, good food and no utensils all in a shopping mall. A fun family experience that everyone will enjoy. Lose yourself in a renaissance fair experience without all the walking around. Everything comes to you in your seat. Your section gets a champion to cheer on as the drama unfolds. The menu is the the same for everyone, garlic bread, tomato soup, half a chicken, a corn cob and a roasted potato. Plus drinks, alcoholic for extra or Pepsi, lemonade or water. A two hour extravaganza. Super fun for the whole family.

Nicole Maldonado

The show was awesome

Richard Mackanic

Had a great time. Amazing birthday party for Conor.

Matthew Dodds

Love medieval times. Your price includes dinner ad the show. Tons of fun and you feel like you can be a little kid again (especially after a few beers!). Well worth the price.

William Bundy

Medieval Times is a great place for a family event or gathering. The food at this location was great and the service exceptional.

Loretta Compher

Very entertaining show. Had a lot of fun with my son's school class. Lunch was decent.

Axel Perez

It was a very fun time. Both the entertainment and food were great! I like the decor inside the arena and on the performers as well. Naturally, the animals will need to go to the bathroom sometimes in the arena, close to where some people may be eating, this may upset some.

Mitishi Dixon

Exciting and fun. The food has improved since my visit 10 years ago. My four year old was delighted right up until the final battle. Then the sleepy and whiney turned on. We were at the 7pm show. The show/dinner lasts 2 hours. He was very happy when our knight won though. Great way to spend time with the family.

pepsi canada

Fun dinner and show place. Good for small kids or adults looking to do something fun

Camryn Doyle

I loved the food. They were very accommodating to my gluten allergy. The only thing I couldn’t eat was the bread. They served a half chicken and it was so big. The show was amazing too.

Mark Shapiro

I absolutely LOVE this place. Just make sure you hold your wallet closely, because these people are extremely talented at taking money from you once you buy your ticket. There is an opportunity to buy, or do, almost anything once you are in there! The torture museum was cool, and definitely worth the extra two bucks. However, be very cautious about buying drinks from there, as a double sized rail drink was 26 bucks after tip!

Gina Thompson

I have to say from the moment we walked up to the castle entrance this surpassed all of my expectations. The greeter, the folks behind the counters, the bar staff, everyone there really made this a fun experience. I NEVER give all fives on any survey I take but I could not justify less than perfect with this place! My mouth dropped when I walked into the arena. I think I was half way prepared for disappointment in some way as my friend talked it up so much I thought surely it would be a let down but NO! Everything was really top notch in every way. We drove up from Va Beach area and it was worth it in every way. An experience I will never forget. Beautiful horses, handsome knights, and we loved the falcon! I can't say enough really. HIGHLY recommend this and I can't imagine the joy of taking a child but that would be even better!

Steven Bromley

At first I was thrown by the comment...so it’s mid evil time period...we eat with our hands...and I was a bit uncomfortable...but when they brought out that half rotisserie chicken...I knew just what to do...and the food was tasty!! If you like sword fights, jousting, knights of the round table, and beautiful horses, then please give yourself a treat. The entertainment was wonderful.

Dr. Who Gives'af

Need better non dairy options. But my son loved it. That's all that really mattered.

samantha hull

Amazing show, great food. They something for everyone! The staff is very friendly and the castle is very clean

Andrew Cilio

This place has gotten better over time. Went here for my girlfriend's birthday--she loves these kind of places--and wasn't expecting to really enjoy myself. Certainly not as much as I did at least. I was more looking forward to the big beers and post-show casino run than I was the funny hats and what I expected to be fake showmanship. I was wrong; not on the hats--those are still a bit too BurgerKing-y for my taste--but on the showmanship. These guys genuinely compete! It was a lot of fun watching a bunch of talented fellas on horseback do some pretty remarkable tricks. Everything was choreographed really well and there was a sense of pure competition between all the Knights. I'd recommend the place to the skeptical and excited alike. Food wasn't bad either. One warning: the beer prices are outrageous. This is because no matter what you order, you keep the cup/glass. We paid more for the beer than we did the tickets! That said, if you order the 32oz glass and get a couple refills it ends up evening out value-wise--the glasses are heavy, high quality drinking apparatuses.

This was my first time visiting a Medieval Times Restaurant and Show, and I can definitely say I was not disappointed. It's definitely geared more towards children, but not so much so that a group of shirts wouldn't have a good time going without children with them. The food was pretty good, the beer was cold and the combat was adequate.

L Mills

I loved it. Everything was perfect. I'll probably go back again to take my children. Very interactive, food was good, worth every penny.

John Howard

Our family visited for an event paid for by my company so I have no clue how expensive the event would be but it was a tonne of fun for everyone and the food is hearty and plentiful. Our kids are 3 and 5 so I was concerned it might be a little overwhelming for them. It wasn't at all. Both kids enjoyed the show and talked about it for days after.

Yeksson Mendez

It was my first time going and it was enjoyable. The chicken portion is generous but nothing to rave about. Parts of the show get repetitive but the falcon and dueling at the end are rather entertaining.

amtidwell1

Great place to go with the family, as long as they can tolerate a 2 hour dinner & show. Wish they would update the food. The show 2 was Amazing. Would be great if disabled seating was better. Being seated at the very last row, made seeing the show very difficult. However ,the staff were very polite & accoma-dating. Will definitely go again but to a different Castle.

Emma Fortune

We loved the experience, food and entertainment were amazing and my daughter was queen of the tournament. My only disappointment was after the many pics they took the prices were a bit much $35 for one and $22 for any additional? I bought them to top off her experience along with collectible chalice cups, crowns and VIP passes, it was worth the few extra bucks to see her happy!

Teri Grace

Great great experience! Visited with a group to celebrate my nephew's 16th birthday about five (5) years ago. About 15 of us and it was a hoot!!! Been back once but would love to go again and again, if I had people to go with me.

Tony Henson

My honest and fair opinion is that the show and actors are great, but the food was a joke and that's supposed to be half of the experience. We got a miniature corn cob, literally the smallest HALF POTATO I've ever seen served in a restaurant...im talking not much bigger than an egg still in the shell - for reference - and a chicken thigh. I can't even begin to imagine how people are comfortable commenting on here saying that the food was great. We also paid for the birthday cake and again I'm not exaggerating but each of us got a roughly 2 inch square of cake!! The serving wouldn't even have been appropriate for a preschool party. I was shocked by how cheap they were with everything. It was a 400 calorie meal counting desert. I had to eat dinner after we left because what we got there was less fulfilling than a kids meal at mcdonalds and im a 6'1 - 185lbs man that doesnt eat much anyway The desert that comes with the meal was a tablespoon of plain white ice cream with a drop of caramel on it...literally plain white with no flavor, not even vanilla and it's served in a small cup that looks like it could be used for ketchup at a fast food place. Then to top it off...the server came around right before the end and asked everyone to be generous and leave him a tip and gave us a small white note that said $10 per person would be a nice !(would have been $50 for my family alone) He literally asks for a specific amount! and then before you leave he goes around checking inside the paper right in your face to see how much you left him. The VIP package didn't get us anything different as far as seating goes(as advertised)...we just got 5 copies of the same picture of our family. I left feeling hungry, victimized by shady marketing/advertising, disgusted by the server's lack of common decency, and a strong sense of guilt after having watched those poor horses that were in obvious pain the whole time. Who needs the circus when you can just watch Medieval Times beat animals while you enjoy your finger food sampler plate. They say you get to eat with your hands like old times but really it's because giving you utensils would be a waste and would probably highlight how little you're actually eating.

Derek Williams

Good show. Falcon. Horses. Jousting. Battling. Cheering. Booing. You eat with your hands. No lemonade on the day I went. Only unsweetened tea. 2 hours. Hot in the arena.

Joshua LeRibeus

Honestly only knew about the jousting but was pleasantly surprised at how much they pack into the two hour experience. Our knight may not have won, but I plan on coming back at least once a year!

Robert Waddell

The meal was extra filling and the entertainment was great and how they interacted with the audience was AMAZING. I would DEFINITELY go see it again but try a different city to compare what was different but over all GREAT from beginning to the end

Rene Diaz

I love this place I'm from Glenarden but when they want to ride my bike or just walk . This is the place that I come to the little lake is just beautiful

Jelly Miele

This was a great place to go. The prices were so cheap I did not believe the quality that we got. Food was amazing and the staff was all friendly. Our waiter busted his butt to get everything for us and made us feel like a priority. The gift store staff immediately stopped to help me find my mother's cane. And the Knights were so accommodating to our group taking pics and selfies. It was amazing there.

Bella Michener

Amazing food and even better show. They really make it so interesting and they have a lot to see while you eat dinner in a true medieval way, with your hands. It was a lot of fun!

K Deaner

Awesome! Great service Matthew! Actors and actresses did a great job. Food was hot. We even got wipes for our fingers this time. The kids were very excited.

CoCo

We had an AMAZING time. The show and actors were awesome and the food was delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and added the celebration package and out was worth it. We had front row seats, we got lanyards, a picture and crown, and they announced my boyfriend's name during the show to wish him a happy birthday. The servers were very attentive and made sure our drinks were refilled in a timely manner. This is a great show for people of all ages. The kids who were next to us were also celebrating a birthday and they seemed to have had a really good time as well. It's something we've always wanted to experience and we were not disappointed.

Crystal Johnson

Great experience! This was my first time at Medieval Times and I abosolutly loved it. The food was good our waiter was friendly the knights put on an amazing show. My only complaint would be you don’t get silverware, but apparently people ate with their hands during the time era. That being said you’re given wet wipes to Clean your hands before and after your meal. I highly recommended going to see a show my lords and my ladies. :)

Ray Walters

This is a typical performance meal venue. Knights and jousting, what more can you want. Food was plentiful, but a bit weird in the mix of offerings. Tomato bisque with garlic bread? Well...okay. Fun for groups and families. Staff got into it towards the middle. Our waitress wasn't awesome, but could have been an off night.

KILBY 6758

Loved the show! We watched knights battle it out to win the title, "Champion of the Realm". Very well trained horses and hawks. It's a great place to take the family for a great blast to the past fun time! The food was also amazing. It was outstanding!

Kristine Amari

This is a lot of fun for kids. It's an entertaining show, and the food is okay (it's a lot of chicken and very little of everything else). I have to admit the dessert (a tiny cup of soft serve vanilla ice cream) was pretty disappointing. The animals are really impressive, I especially liked seeing the falcon. Convenient location; plan extra time to find parking.

Lauren Shaw

We had a great time! We had great service. Our seats were on the opposite side of the arena from where the kitchen was located so our serving wench had to haul it to ensure the food was hot (which it was)! The show was good and we were all surprised when our daughter was crowned the Queen of Love and Beauty.

James Couzens

Went for my son's 6 birthday. He enjoyed it so much! Great night.

Avianna T

Great show with amazing preformers. Our knight (yellow knight) won!! Also thanks to a pretty decent server (Nate)your sarcasm and humor kept things interesting.

Victor Perez

I really enjoyed my experience here. The show was entertaining and the food was actually pretty decent, which was much better than I expected. As you probably know, you have to eat with your hands, so keep that in mind and bring some wet wipes (although the restaurant does provide you with some). The show was fun but a few things stopped it from being really great: 1. The sound system made it very difficult to understand what some people were saying, especially when the host was doing an over the top accent. 2. The show has a LOT of horse prancing which is cool but gets boring after the 3rd horse. Overall it's a fun experience for children and adults. I would probably go again with some of my younger family members.

Nick p

It was ok. Show got boring, until the end. Food was great. If you have a child, make sure they are not affected by loud noises. The volume of the speakers gets super loud in some parts of the show. Overall i would give it a 7.5 out of 10.

Lisa Montgomery

This was so Phenomenal...the Horses was so Beautiful and the whole performance was Remarkable. Loved the serving of the food....Fresh Hot and Delicious. Our Server was on Point. Must see again.

Ezekiel Preston

This was a phenomenal time and fit for friends going out or for a fun family trip. A bit expensive for the VIP tickets but overall worth the experience and photo given at the end of the event. Staff was in character most of the time being around and were very friendly and accommodating. The actual show was done very well, had me cheering like a little kid (Not to mention the Queen was very pretty). Overall I'd say this is a must experience event. If you get the chance? Go for sure.

Lyric Hyatt

First time there and it was fun. The show itself is pretty lackluster and the horses were foaming at the mouth and looking like they wanted their freedom; but so did some of the workers there as well. Food is ok and honestly it is not worth the upgrades. If you do go, this is the one time it is okay to be basic.

Gabriel Ramos

The shows are always great! Seen 2 so far and love them both! Went for my birthday and it was a great experience. The food is amazing! Highly recommend getting the soup. Great for familys with kids.

LeeLee Harris

Awesome Show an Entertainment. Food was good. My nephews want to go back. It was their first time going. An felt Royalty!! Lol upgraded my tickets to VIP Queen Royalty Package. So front row( priority seating access) cheering banner, vip lanyard, group photos. Overrall 5 stars. Definitely want to go back with my family. An get a drink lol... Didnt know they have a bar now. Been so long since i last went. Serve Alcohol an Non Alcoholic beverages. So Medieval Times you will be seeing us again.

David Morton

A surprisingly capable cast and flavorful dinner show connected to the Arundel Mills Mall. With the only entrance being inside the mall itself, there is a necessary break of realism that might be jarring for the younger patrons, but the cast goes out of their way to maintain character and draw them back in. The art of the upsell is strong here, and thinly veiled, so prepare yourself to tag on a souvenir, added "experience," or both to your ticket price. Having paid for the first tier ticket upgrade, I can say that that, at the least, seemed worth it, as it provided a front row seat to the show. Come early, either way. The dinner show itself showed the highs and lows of a weekly-repeated live story, with equal parts skill in horsemanship and hard work, while also losing lustre in the less exciting elements dedicated to moving the "story" along. Along those lines, the script itself was often a mix of difficult to hear due to the din of the crowd, or lost in the mouths of those tempting a turn of Shakespeare's grave with their attempted eloquence. It was difficult to tell who was friend or foe, or even where anyone was from... although that mattered little to the enjoyment of the crowd in the long run. One critique, however - making any Knight suddenly abhorrent even to the crowd who is supposed to cheer for them cries for a script rewrite...and a second look at the decade we live in. Just a thought. What shined above all else, however, was the dedication of all the various elements of the cast and crew when it came to their interactions with guests. The wait staff, with their well-timed (and well balanced) service, the performers going full-out in the arena to entertain, and the impromptu and steadfast character involvement throughout the evening in general... These were all the things that will remain in memory, particularly for the children or child-like in attendance. I appreciated this just as much as my children did, and definitely went a long way to justifying my expenditures for the evening. Overall, I appreciate Medieval Times for what it is - a memorable night of suspended disbelief, at a price point that makes it less than occasional for most. I most definitely recommend it as an experience to have at least once, simply because it is reasonably unique... But go with the right expectations in mind to allow you to enjoy yourself. Also - it is still a restaurant, and they are working their butts off...tip your wait staff accordingly. :)

Wanita Palmer

They made special accommodations for my handicap Mom. The whole family had a wonderful time. The service was amazing as was the show. The food was pretty good too.

Nicholas Palmer

Great show, great food! Kids had a blast!

PAT CARPENTER

I took a friend for the first time and she loved it. Food was great and entertainment was fun for me and exciting for her. My 4th time at medieval times. we celebrated our birthday P Carpenter and A Vann.

Mabel Kim

To people who are complaining about the show, I think they have changed it. Unlike the reviews, there was no cell phone section or any offensive content. The food was good overall. The show kept me engaged and entertained. You can hear the excitement from everyone in the audience. Definitely coming back.

sheri baby

This was real nice and entertaining. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. She is adorable. We sat way on the opposite side of the arena and the food was good and hot. I have went to restaurant that was next to the kitchen and food was cold. Excellent food. Place was clean. The only complaint was long line for the restroom which was clean and well kept. Souvenirs were outrageous. 21.00 for a picture was more than I wanted to spend. They have the typical pushy kid stuff that breaks a few days after buying.

Christopher Baumgardner

Fun time for the whole family. Be prepared to drop some cash on the tickets and any alcoholic drinks. Good show and a filling meal. Not a 5-star meal of course but still very good.

Aliyah English

My family goes every other year and we've been going to MT for the past 17 years. Every time we're at the Baltimore location, we have the best time and even at 20 years old, I still have a blast! It's a good time and fun to watch the knights joust. They have my respect because I didn't know it's a super long process to be a knight. Being a squire to becoming a knight, months and endless hours of training, I gotta give props to all of you! The lords and ladies serving us are always so kind and energetic even when things get hectic. The food has always been amazing (although I miss the ribs and apple turnover). The tomato soup is the staple of the whole meal. It's the best and I wish they'd release a recipe for it. ;)

cool banana

2nd time i have been good entertainment and good food. The jousting is amazing and the combat is crazy!

Joe Martinez-Williams

My wife and I took the girls (5 & 3) to see their first show. We were two rows away from the middle so the girls were able to see. Our server wasn't the greatest (Katie). It took us forever to get our drinks and food and when she did bring the food the courses were out of order. The show was amazing though!!! The entire family enjoyed the spectacle.

VALARIE MCCALL

My second time here and neither time has started on time. I am a big stickler for time, especially when we’ve driven 4 hours to get here, twice. Dinner time was at 1 it’s now 1:38 and we still haven’t entered the arena. Maybe I’ll try another one, but it will definitely not be this one again.

Dawn Chavarria

Fun to do, horses were beautiful. Chicken was good, no ice served with drinks so they get warm fast, bread is cold and disappointingly served ice cream cups from the grocery store. Not very medieval. Sat smashed against other people with no elbow room, while a whole row same section was empty. Waiter sweated so much I was afraid the food was getting dripped on. Wanted to take better pictures during the show but ALWAYS had someone in front of me selling something. Don't waste your money doing VIP seating, trust me it's nothing special.

Gabrielle Oatridge

There is a bunch of roleplay while you enjoy a dinner from medieval times. It's kind of interesting.

Emily Henry

Medieval Times is an incredible amount of entertainment value packed into an affordable ticket price. The equitation is outstanding. Every age group will have a blast. Went with a group ranging from 7 years old to 40 years old and everyone absolutely loved it.

marj1st

They've revamped the show!!!! The queen is very cool. The master of ceremonies was pompous enough. The knights are gracious and chivalrous. The servers are witty, quick and unobtrusive. Don't miss the preshow. My grandson was knighted and yes, of course they bring the photo and commemorative decree proclaiming his Knighthood around for you to purchase, but it is supercute! And there's lots to see and do and buy, even a dungeon museum. Food was messy, delicious and eaten with only your hands. Barbarian style! Chicken, corn on the cob, roasted potato, tomato soup with garlic bread and ice cream for dessert. Choice of lemonade, water, or Pepsi included. Open bar available. Sections are divided by colors with loyalty pledged to the corresponding champion Knight. The riders perform tricks with the horses, win flowers from the queen and pass them out to audience ladies. There was even a falcon to entertain guests during the meal. Finally the jousting begins and it doesn't disappoint! It is very exciting and choreographed to the finest detail. It really looks like they're having a great time! Try not to get too sucked in. There are promotions for discounts constantly. Be careful or you may ending up driving home with an authentic William Wallace replica sword! I did.

Geoffrey Carson

Very good experience for my two-year-old. I was worried he wouldn't be able to follow the action. He genuinely loved the sword fights. Good chicken and beer as well.

Kim Harman

Oh my gosh! So much fun and very exciting! Good food, great service and excellent show! Highly recommend! VIP seating was incredible! You really must go!

Tri Becca

Fun, tasty, and exciting! The chicken was surprisingly tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The corn was the sweetest and butteriest I've ever had! The potato was tasty and had a nice crispy/fluffy thing going. Even the soup was tasty, though I would call it more of a broth than a bisque. Our host was wonderful, and we never felt rushed at all. We went the day after Christmas, and it was not full. I do not recommend paying for any seating upgrades because it is not the Wells Fargo Center. We sat in the red and yellow section which is centralized and parallel to the black and white section. They put a net down halfway through the show, which isn't bothersome, because things get pretty wild and it prevents sand or you know what from flying into your face-or much worse-your food! We went to the MD location. I highly recommend. Kids loved it. Sister and I, who are addicted to shows like GOT, TUDORS, VERSAILLES, and all of that genre loved it as well.

A F

Amazing staff members! Our school group was separated accidentally and the staff did everything they could to reunite us. I was so very impressed with their professional behavior and attitudes. The floor manager helped us get everyone within one row of each other. A huge thank you to all of the servers and staff!

LAUREN SINGLETON

Really a lot of fun! A lot of their revenue is built from selling items to people in their lobby. Theres everything from real metal swords and daggers to goofy jester masks and woven crowns that cascade elegantly down your back. Get a picture with the knights, or the queen, and then be ushered behind the doors to the sandpit arena where you'll sit in a color coded section to cheer on your knight and your knights allies! You can have an announcement made about an event (birthday to engagement) and the queen and her entourage will read them out during the feast. Enjoy the dancing horses and flourishes of the knights in a medieval themed dinner with no utensils and Pepsi products!

E S

The staff was very attentive and gracious. However, I found the show slow, boring and redundant. The horse prancing got old, quickly. The hawk was cool but just circled the arena several times, and that was the last time we saw it. I understand that the premise was a tournament, however the tricks the knights performed were not that impressive to see once. Waiting through all six knights to perform the same trick, multiple times throughout the two hours, was too much. At one point, my little girl asked, incredulously, "Are they going to do it AGAIN?" The dueling toward the end of the production was much more exciting. The chicken was a huge portion and delicious. The sides were fine. Dessert was a very small cup of soft serve, like Chickfila. I have been to other dinner theaters in various states, and this was my least favorite. I just expected more for the money.

ranchero50

The sound system at the Baltimore castle was mind numbingly loud and distorted. Parents were getting ear muffs for their kids. It took a lot away from the experience. Too much honestly for the cost of admission. The show was awesome and recommended otherwise.

Lisa Bradford

Exciting adventure for all ages. Little expensive and the wait staff spilled drinks on us twice while pouring in the dark. Also forgot ou grandkids drink 3 times. I loved the show and food was amazing just wish waitstaff want in the way during the show.

Adrian Rivera

Excellent show and decent food. Beer was a little pricey though.

Jacqueline Davis

It was amazing and we enjoyed it. My daughter took me for my birthday. I always wanted to go and I was blown away by the Performace and service . Your staff was great! I can't wake to come back. Thank you so much. Traveling back in time was worth the wait. God bless you all. What an outstanding Performance. See you soon !!

GodKing Caesar XXVII

Do. Not. Pass. Up. This. Awesome. Time. Everything they bring to the table is unapologetically over the top, no cut cards. Check out every aspect they have to offer, pleaseeee stop by the gift shops and support their drive to introduce even more sick souvenirs and collectables!!! (They already have quite a lot, but why not more just for the sake of it

Debbie Montgomery

We took my grandson and relatives. Really surprised at how good our meal was! Service was excellent. There is not a bad seat in the arena. All the demonstrations were great! Every section has their own knight to cheer on. My grandson absolutely loved it and wants to go back for his birthday. If you go in a month of your birthday you get your ticket free!

Dania Ramirez

We got a great offer and enjoyed the show with my two adolescent kids, my hubby and my in-laws. My in laws were a bit skeptical at first but they were had a fantastic time!! We were cheering and hollering during the show, plus enjoyed our meal. I’m a vegetarian so I got the vegetarian option and was very pleased with it! The only negatives were the watery tomato soup and the watery drinks. Otherwise, everything else was amazing. Great fun for all ages.

Charles Huber Jr

The first time is amazing. But the luster wears off after about the 3rd time. Mainly because the show never changes. The only variable is which Knight wins on any given night.

i do plush vids on youtube

Any e that has never been here should, for e to it fly to it it's worth every penny of it the actors also are extraordinary the 4 course meal is exceptional and the entertainment is too my family as well as myself loved it honestly with one meal 3 can eat from it

russell hise

Tons of fun, no matter where you sit, the show is worth it. You can easily spend double your ticket prices on chachkies. The food isn't going to rock your world, bur you aren't going here for the food anyway.

Tiffany Taylor

The show was fairly entertaining, but the food was great. I would go again just to eat. Before the show, there is plenty of time to look around and buy over priced souvenirs and drinks. It's a cool experience and something different to do.

Jess Nakoski

This is such a fun dinner and show experience. I have a ton of fun every time I go!

Greg Hall

Great show but if you are tall beware seating does not accommodate and u are elbow to elbow

Garden Lady

Our family of three enjoyed the performance thoroughly! Getting involved in the show by cheering for"our" blue Knight was fabulous! The horsemanship of all the players kept us in awe by displaying the moves of well practiced leaps and jumps, fancy footwork and graceful bows. We would certainly relish attending again, thank you!

Rachel Pennington

The seats are over crowded and the employees dont care. I was seated in the 1st row of blue knight VIP, this past Saturday 4pm show. They seated my husband and i in between two other couples. I saw it was crowded and asked to be reseated. The guy who took us to his seats said he couldn't and I had to sit in my assigned seat, website says seating first come first serve so tons of empty seats and a whole empty VIP row. I asked to be seated any where, like I didnt care I paid extra just wanted to be comfortable. We had to climb over the chairs to sit, because they were so jammed together. Show starts there are still empty seats everywhere. I am getting sat on and elbowed by the stranger to my right, this was the whole show. No one in the row had the room to even try to move over. His butt was literally on my chair. The food was slow, tomato soup burning like scolding hot and the rest of food was cold. The show was okay but oddly(at least to seating boy) I was miserable being sat on so couldn't enjoy a moment of the show. The 100 and some I spent on two tickets was a waste, I wish I would've just walked out. I was really uncomfortable with being forced to cuddle with a stranger the whole show.

Victoria Houston

This is the third location I've been to and the Baltimore Castle was our favorite and best experience. We never sit in the winning section, but this time we had the bad guy and it was so much better than winning. Food was good as always and the summer deal was great! Our drinks took extremely way too long. Connor was a treat and the Knights did a great job putting on a neat show.

jaime manning

Love going here. Service friendliness is a hot or miss. But food and show is always a good time

Sauron The valiant

My wife brought me and my family here for fathers day. It was a great meal and entertainment. I love fight acting my daughter loved the horses, and my son loved the music and lights. A great day out.

Ksenia Pro

Overall we had a great time! Beautifully staged show, horses are stunning! Food is better than I expected. We went Sunday afternoon it wasn't crowded at all. You can see the entire arena from almost any seat. If you have a toddler who is not seating on your lap - keep in mind that they don't have high chairs, only booster seats that don't have any straps at all. They didnt let us keep our daughter in the stroller either (fire hazard). So either bring your own booster seat, or get ready to hold your little one for 2 hours. We paid for an extra seat for my 1,5 yo just so I didn't have to hold her, and I still had to hold her because there was no appropriate seats. Kids under 2 are free as long as they don't require a separate seat. Our waitress was very welcoming and accommodating, which made our experience much better!

Carol Schaum

We got our tickets as a groupon, didn't realise you couldn't redeem until after 24 hours. But the girl at the ticket window was so nice and accommodating she allowed us to use it anyway. From there, the show was amazing the food was delicious and the staff was wonderful and so very accommodating and polite and just made for a fully wonderful experience

Rahman W.

Great experience! The show was very entertaining and the food was great. Only take one star away for the experience before the show start. It might have been due to the crowd size, but when it was announced that it was starting it was little chaotic and hard to hear the instructions. They say it loud and repeat it, but it was still a little confusing. Felt a little like herding cattle lol! Despite all of that I still recommend!

Gin Lim

Better than Season 8 of Game of Thrones. I didn’t expect much when going there for dinner. Only went since a friend from out of state came to visit. The food was just good, but the show is what really earned my five-star rating! Super entertaining to watch. The show starts off pretty slow, but the end was great with jousting and sword/axe fights. Would recommend for people of all ages. Took mostly video from the night, but here’s the one terrible picture that I did take that night.

Blue Dragon

We just left there this evening with our family. We’ve been to 3 shows on different states and today’s experience was great, the show is alittle different the. The others we have seen but still amazing. Only suggestion I would like to see is no ice cream for dessert and possibly toddler/ small kid friendly cups with lids. Still amazing tho and food was delicious, we will be returning

Rosa Garcia

What an AMAZING time. Great service, food, and entertainment. My kids loved it and so did we. Fun for the whole family. Plus our knight won, added bonus. And I got named queen,

Don Windrem

Great Medieval times setup. Unlike the castle in New Jersey, the Maryland Castle is large, allows guests to go in multiple doors to get into arena and has a laid back atmosphere where actors actually come out and hang out after the shows. The new format is nice with no King and a queen leading the kingdom. The show was great as usual and feels more intimate than the Jersey show I am used to. I would recommend this castle.

brian ferguson

Had a super fun time here. Great entertainment and food was good! The seating is great no matter where you sit and the show was really engaging and fun. Good fun for kids and adults!

kat Hicks

Wonderful show, great performance and people. Great food. The falconer was so beautiful and nice. Would love to see the show again.

Candace Noel

We went to take the kids for their first experience and they loved it! My son only talked about castles for the next few days. The chicken was spectacular. On par with Boston Market and great portion sizes. Our team (green) won!!

Julie Aites

Staff was amazing! Food was ok... But it is mass service not made to order. However, an hour ahead we were told to be there. Not needed. They just want you to shop and spend money.

Mike Scott

First time at the castle and I was very impressed! The lobby sales area was very well organized and the staff was friendly. I didn't feel pressured to make a purchase. Food was really good and hot. I will definitely go back again!

John Houck

My 5 year old loved it! He got knighted, got to talk to the knights and loved eating with his hands! Our server was excellent Becca was great she was extra nice with my son and didn’t mind when he spilled his drink she just got help and cleaned it up and got him a dry chair. She went above and beyond. Awesome time enjoy by all ages!

Russell Walker

I chose this venue for a date night. it proved to be an excellent choice. they are very organized and a very exciting atmosphere. I had tomato bisque for the first time and I must say I have something against tomatoes but this soup was amazing. the dinner and show was very entertaining and we had an awesome time. I highly recommend going here and to avoid the pricey admission get a coupon off of the internet to get reasonable rates.

Luke Whitney

The show is absolutely amazing! The food is really good as well. So much fun. My 5 year old loved it! Very pricey but worth every penny.

Lauren Salley

I've have gone to Medieval Times for the past three years, once per year, around my birthday. Each experience was amazing as well as the food and service. I live closer to the castle in Maryland, but my first experience was at the castle in Chicago, IL. I love that there is a horse show, falcon segment, and the knight's competition. Just recently I went to the castle in Maryland and I was astounded by the "new/updated" script and performance cheering for the Blue Knight. As I am aiming to be a Stage Technician in college (light, sound, projection and costume designer), I hope to work at any of the castles one day to be a part of the team.

Benu Wyman

We had a great time! Jousting, drama, falconry, talented servers, a fun dinner, and horses all in the same place. Everyone should go here at least once. But really several times.

Sheila Cooper

This was my first time here and it was the best better than the best. If you have not been you need to go. Me and my family had the VIP but it was very entertaining. The food was very good could not eat all of it. Love it here going to go back again.

Amy Carter

What an amazing experience this was! I have passed this place many times but did not visit until a friend came into town, could not believe I didn't visit before. The experience was great, food was good and we was given a great show. I would definitely recommend this restaurant/location.

Alexander Anderson

With the numerous available discount promo codes the ticket price was reasonable for dinner and a show. The alcohol prices are a bit too steep, I paid $33 for a single frozen drink; this comes with a reusable mug, but $33 was already the most I was willing to pay for drinks for the night. It would be nice if the purchase of the mug came with a single refill or something of the sort. The food and show was great and worth the ticket price.

Avi Abasov

This is a great activity for kids and adults alike. We had a blast here with friends and their kids, who got a close seat to see all if the excitement and showmanship of the staff and the actors. The food is more than decent and the price is fair (in my opinion) with respect to what you are getting. It's a long show filled with excitement and wonder, and the actors keep the drama until the very last second! The crowd cheers for their knights to win and in the end you are happy to be a part of an awesome show. Definitely recommended!!

Shaya Talora

I have found the secret to medieval times-- nobody goes without a discount. There are apparently always $35 discount tickets available somewhere. That makes this a much better value. The food is great, even the vegetarian bean stew cauldron! The new show is interesting, everyone challenges the new queen. The cast is very diverse, also great to see. Most people are willing to tell and cheer for their knight which makes for a fun atmosphere. Servers were super efficient, the entire food service is well timed within the script. Thought it would be hard having a 1yr old with us, but it was pretty easy with lots of space to hold him. Best suggestion for that is be seated in the top row of your section. Two hours goes by very fast!

Kate Daly

I have visited both the Buena Park and Baltimore castles on many occasion throughout the years. It's always memorable - so much fun - and both castles have always been respectful and accommodating to food allergies (previous vegetarian, current Celiac sufferer). Fantastic food regardless of your restrictions!

Melody Rowe

I've wanted to go since I was a little girl. My only regret is that I did not go sooner. Will deffinately go again and in a bigger group.

Shubhra Gupta

Liked the show very much. Wasn't disappointed with the vegetarian menu options also. The food was warm and tasty. Performances were great with beautiful costumes. It's inside a mall so you have others places to hang out too after or before the show.

LaToya Tyson

I surprised my boyfriend with tickets to Medieval Times. While I've been going since I was 11/12, this was his first visit. I upgraded our experience with a VIP package which gave us several perks that made the overall experience more than worth the price. We were seated in the green section which happens to be both of our favorite color and it just so happened that knight won the tournament as well. With the VIP package we were seated in the front row of our color so our view was spot on and I couldn't have asked for a better seat. We also each received a copy of the picture we had taken before the show with the queen which is nice, so often there's only one picture to share which is not convenient if you don't live together. The food was really good and it was nice that they also had vegetarian options as well. For dessert we also got a piece of cake with the ice cream which is included in everyone's dessert. We also got to have a celebration announcement which for us was only that it was date night but we had fun with it by giving ourselves celebrity names and the staff had fun with it too. It was great hearing - Lady Sporty Spice and Lord Idris Elba were celebrating date nite! My boyfriend and I had a great time and he kept thanking me again and again for a wonderful night.

Jessica Francis

It was a great show and lots of fun. The servers were great and the food was good.

Patricia Ann Allen

I Always have a blast when I go. I love the show. The performances are on point with the time period. The crowd really gets involved, and the food is good too.

Marc Wills

A bit cheesy for me but food was good. Nice atmosphere. Good for kids, just not my cup of tea!!!

Michael Amsden

This was one of the most fun experiences of my life. They know how to capture excitement and present it to you by using the lightning and music they made the fighting epic. Can't wait to go again

CT-born Gaming

It was very fun family event. We will definitely be going again.

J King

My wife and I went there expecting that the show will be as good as the Dolly Partons shows we've watched in Tennessee. Show wasn't fun. The horses looked tired. Some of the horses actually drooled during the performance and legs were shaky. I don't think they are treating their animals right. Don't believe the reviews so much. This was the worst show we've ever experienced. Oh and by the way, food quality was awful too.

jonna artisan

They put so much in to training the horses! The men are trained to fight and put on a good show. The food is meh. Good luck getting a server or drink refill. I don't think they have changed the menu since they opened. It was the same last year as it was 10 years ago. If they would make changes we would go again. It's fun for kids.

Tom Catania

We had a very fun time! As part of our 30th Wedding Anniversary we went to Medieval Times. Its always fun to do something different! Great place, good food, good entertainment!

CCB CCB

2nd time to this show. Enjoyed it. Would rate 5 stars but something was off with the sound system. You could not understand what they were saying. Heard several people complaining about it.

Rebecca Walker

Very realistic. The family enjoyed it very much...all ages

Kimberly Kizzia

My son is really into knights right now so we brought him for his birthday and upgraded to the celebration package. I wish we could purchase that individually instead of the entire party as most of us didn't need cake and extra copies of the photos were redundent, but the food was great and the show was excellent! Drinks are a bit pricey so keep that in mind as well.

Glenda Knechtel

We took our grandsons yesterday to the 2pm show. The 9 year-old followed the story and the action completely, however, the 6 year-old did not. I had trouble understanding the two lead males but the female was very understandable. The meal is very good but you essentially eat with your fingers. They do provide very nice warm towelets to clean your hands after the meal. I especially enjoyed our server and it was very evident that he thoroughly enjoyed his job.

aeliciadelovely

Very nice! The show was very engaging and nice. The food was okay but the overall service out weighed the food. The staff was very pleasant. I would reccomend for a family outing or a date night.

Daniel Calder

It was fun. Like pro wrestling meets renaissance fair. Food was mediocre, and you had to eat without utensils.

Sol Wnr

I love seeing this show. I go back every year! Medieval Times is the best. The chicken is the most tender you will ever dig your fingers into. I go mainly for the show, but the food is so good you can't go without mentioning it! Great show for everyone.

Alisha Owings

What will you not love and adore from visiting Medieval Times Dinner & Show. You get to snack on dinner while watching a dynamic show. Recommend checking when they run specials to help cut cost. Would go back for sure.

Gia Moore

We got together to celebrate my son's 4th birthday. We had a group of 13 and everyone had a blast. The party package was great and his birthday announcement absolutely made his day!

Jeff Rudderforth

Food and overall experience was ok. Show was the newer show, but the main MC couldn't remember his lines and pointed toward the wrong section when announcing the Knights. Honestly, one of the less enjoyable experiences I have had at this venue.

Gabrielle Smith

It was awesome, as my second time going. Once as a little girl in third or fourth grade class trip and now as an adult. Though this time I was able to take my mother (who has never been to medieval times before). It was an enjoyable moment especially seeing her face and hearing a wow come out while being shown to our seats. So overall we had a blast, especially it being my moms birthday gift for her birthday. Thank you guys for a great show!

Steven Beggs

Great Time!!! We all loved the show, food, staff, and experience. Definitely do it again 10/10

Ike Smith

Always a great time watching the entertainment and having the four course meal. I love going to Medieval Times.

James Cienfuegos

We came here for my girlfriend's 23rd birthday. it doesn't matter how old you are, it's great for all ages and very family friendly. a few of my friends have food allergies, the staff was very helpful with food choices. something my friends and I didn't consider: some of us are allergic to animals with fur, so when the horses started really moving around the floor it really got to us. I don't feel like my allergies are the worst in the world but by the end of the show I was sneezing uncontrollably and it hurt pretty bad to breath because it felt keying my lungs were burning, if you have any kind of allergies make sure you come prepared, I didn't and a simple allergy pill would have helped Great place, lots of fun

Raphael Spurlock

Had a great time. The show was nice. The food was well prepared even though there wasn't much that wasd special about it. The server had a great attitude and even sang! The excitement really got the crowd into it. The drinks weren't bad either.

Karl Thomas

This is a place that gives you a meal and a medieval show. They have horses, a falcon, jousting, and sword fights while you cheer for your knight. If you have gone in the past, they have changed the show. We went on a Wednesday and the knights needed some work, but it was enjoyable and not crowded.

Heart

Great fun, I really enjoyed this dinner show. Food was good. All of the shows were intertaining. Staff were friendly. Drinks were average. Gifts were cheesy. Large gift shop. I think this is worth trying out at least once. I've been twice now. Much better than the show at Excaliber.

Jefferson Mason

I’m surprised this establishment has a lot of positive reviews, as my experience there was less than satisfying. The only reason why I’m not giving this 1-star is because my server was very engaging and professional My father and I went to the Medieval Times located in Maryland. One thing that really annoyed me was all throughout the show there were workers going throughout the steps trying to sell stuff. Everything was big and flashy and tended to block your view. I understand that this is a business and their primary MO is to make money. But come on now! There’s a gift shop literally right outside. If customers didn’t want to buy any souvenirs the first three times you went through, what makes you think they’d change their mind the next 4+ times?? The food was mediocre at best. Tasted like something served in a college dining call. My dad thought the chicken was totally unseasoned and didn’t was his at all. Only thing we both kicked back really was the corn and bread. My next complaint has to do with the sound system. While the performers were very engaged for the most part and in character, I COULDN’T HEAR ANYTHING! Seriosuly, the sound system was absolutely atrocious and the voices and music sounded muffled. There wasn’t a full audience so it wasn’t due to background noise. My last complaint has to do with the horses: seriosuly, the horses looked like they had rabies the number that were constantly drooling. Seriously, I lost my appetite looking at these horses. Based on the types of tricks they were doing, it was obvious they were broken down mentally at first. As a huge property of animal well being, both with the physical appearance of the horses and the idea that they were overworked and probably tortured to obey when they were younger really distracted me from my overall experience. This place is akin to a circus with its treatment of its animals. Will not set foot in another Medieval Times again

Tony Goodwin

In our case our server was over booked. She was part of the performance as well as our server. Service was very poor. We saw other areas where folks were getting their main meal while we were just getting our drinks. We just got our main meal while they were being served dessert. Our server was just booked doing too many jobs. Poor experience.

Chris Latham

Always a good time. This was my third visit, and we were celebrating our anniversary. This place runs like a well-oiled machine, so no hiccups along the way. The seating towards the end was kind of annoying, but I blame that on the older kids who kept leaning forward to block my view. Great show, and even better food.

Michael Fetter

The experience I had at the Baltimore castle was hands down the most amazing thing I've ever seen. From the performances by the queen, herold and chancellor to the absolutely top notch sequences done by the knights was just spectacular. The castle was clean and gorgeous. The food was excellent and the servers were perfect. This was the first time I've been to this establishment but I will absolutely return in the future to enjoy this dinner and show again! Congratulations to all involved in this place, you were all simply amazing and thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Pa_Nerd TV

This place is magical! If you are into knights fighting and games and queens, then you'll love this place! The evening wife and I had was just another experience. The food was fantastic, the show was amazing and just the atmosphere was phenomenal. Definitely bring your kid here if they love knights and fighting.

Marilyn Bradley

It’s my first time to visit this place and I am like Oh my God this is awesome. The show was incredible and the food was good. It’s perfect for any occasions and perfect for all ages.

A small cat

We were in town and wanted to do something different so we bought tickets online for this place and found a coupon code so they were cheaper than usual. We have been to the Pirate Voyage Dinner and Theater place in Myrtle Beach and I would say Medieval Times is similar but different. The food is more similar than the show itself. You can look online at the menu and see if it suits you but if you have food allergies or anything or just eat vegetarian they can suit your needs you just have to let them know. We had fun. It was a good show. The chorography was decent – you could tell it was staged but that is already known anyway. They had special effects for danger. They did have upgrade options to be a VIP but we chose not to do that – you get a picture, flag, faster service, etc. We did notice that our service was slow compared to the VIP people that sat in front of us – also if you get VIP you get to sit closer to the action. The food was good and enough food to fill you up if you eat it all. The show is as much fun as you make of it, go with some friends, shout, cheer, and have a good time and you will have a blast and it’ll be worth the two hours! We did buy the $2 admission to go to the Torture museum and that was interesting and worth it for some odd / scary objects for torture. Out of the Pirate Voyage and Medieval shows – comparing the two – I do prefer the Pirate Voyage – I thought the acting and overall show was much more entertaining and the service better. Overall we liked the Medieval Times show and I could see going back if we brought some friends to see them enjoy it. We enjoyed seeing the horses, cheering for our yellow knight (even though he did not win – there were 6 different sections so 6 different knights in competition), jousting, and seeing the falcon fly around (very neat). We visited in August 2019.

Valery Hagan

Excellent time! If you're able to, purchase the VIP package, as it's well worth it - ringside seating is the best, plus you get a photo opportunity with the king! The food was delicious, but the vegetarian option was disappointing. Aside from that, our group had a very memorable time. We'll definitely be back again!

Mark Adams

First time back to a medieval times in years still enjoyed myself had an awesome time go yellow knight and thanks to our server wench joleen

Justin Combs

What a great time, highly recommend getting the Queen upgrade! Perfect place for any occasion, don’t let the fact that this is attached to the mall deter you, the stadium is surprisingly huge and fits allot of people. Be prepared to put out allot of money for drinks, kids toys, and tips. The place isn’t cheap but once again we had a great time and chances are your family will too.

xX_ultimatewolf_Xx 21

I was awesome, their was sword fights and riding horse. Pretty much anything you would expect for the medieval times.

MehlieMehl

Devon was the waiter for the evening. He made the stay very unprofessional and a overall terrible experience for my family and I. He was never in character, or even cared for his job, and the service was insanely slow. I would rate higher for the place itself, but its staff is a part of its function, so it reflects on everything. However, the show was great and we had a fun time. Long live The Blue Night!

Mike Carey

Medieval times is a blast. Been to this one in Arundel Mills half a dozen times and never disappoints. It's not the cheapest night out, but well worth the money. Fun for kids and adults alike. The show is an hour and a half to two hours long. Includes a small bowl of tomato soup, a slice of garlic bread, half a chicken, a potato wedge, small dessert and sodas. Serves beer other liquors. All extras are pay for. Great experience.

Liam Salziger

Awesome experience. Our server was full of energy (to match ours, lmao) and super cool, and the food was legitimately awesome. The show was incredibly exciting and awesome as the energy built all the way to the THRILLING battles at the end. There are 1 of 6 teams you could be representing, each one with a different knight and personality (even with individual musical themes to match!). Our team lost, but we still had an incredible time, proving just how entertaining of a show it is. I would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting good food and a memorable evening full of battles, loss, victory, and righteousness. I will honor Red knight till I die!

Yolanda Jackson

Still a nice family experience; yet very pricey. As always the food is good and plentiful.

Rhi Hughes

Lots of fun and food was good for what it was. For some reason our section seemed to be the only section without salt. Food was a little bland. But over all good fun!

Jes

Always enjoyed this place with the family. Prices are a bit much for souvenirs. Went during a New Years event once and very memorable!

JWashi

First time attending. It was really nice. I enjoyed everything, including the dinner! Our Host was Super Awesome and funny! Great place to celebrate w/ family & friends for all occasions!

Brandon Perkins

Medieval Times is a great place to watch a show but the food is not amazing. However, overall it is a good experience.

Working class hero Shop Manager

The show was good but this place has one goal. To extract as much money from you as possible, from the $22 photo to the $25 drinks, to the $17 light up toys. You have priced me out. $350 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Thats crazy money!

Kevin Wanamaker

Good entertainment and the food is actually quite good. In case you don't know, there are no utensils, so plan to eat with your hands and get a bit messy. Except for the garlic bread, the good is gluten free if you need that. They also have vegetarian options. A fun experience overall.

Colleen Coffin

A great show and meal for a reasonable price. My 6 year old was engaged the entire time as well as my teenager. Great for all ages!
