Very few clams given considered the price I paid! I came here today to enjoy a authentic, Italian meal.The pasta was overcooked and the garlic bits in the pasta were too big, and the white wine sauce was very watery. The garlic bread infused with sauce was dry and bland, I would choose Texas Toast over homemade bread at this point! The waitresses show no consideration for their customers and their experience. However, the calamari was adequate, a heaping portion was given. Mediocre service at best, but your food gave me diarrhea!

I enjoyed the food. It was slow coming out, but that maybe because of our waitress. She was obviously new because she was so awkward. Many people came, ate and left while we were there. I think she needed a shadow waiter to help her learn the ropes better. I'd go back again though, so there's that.

Was seated at the bar at my request. 5 minutes or more had past without any acknowledgement whatsoever. I got up and left and spoke to the hostess as I left and nothing was said about why I was leaving. I'm sure the food is good but will never know.

From the outside, this place looks like a regular little pizza spot. But you still be pleasantly surprised by their dishes. Excellent, fresh Italian food and good drinks.

The food was amazing. My boyfriend and I had finally been able to have a lunch date so we picked this place. A lot of the staff though didn't seem to have smiles on their faces. But one young kid had a smile the whole time we were there. Even when this lady had his clean the mirror on the wall, put up some glitter decorations around the restaurant. We love going places with staff like that young man. Whoever he is, is a keeper employee.

I would never come here again. It was a special occasion for a high school sports team. The service was lousy. The special menu did not include any item with a white sauce. They waitress offered to alter an item but it wasn't the same. The floor was slippery for walking and the floor manager made an inappropriate judgment. We were placed in a small area and everyone was crowded. It was very noisy making the presentations very difficult to hear.

We had not been there in several years, so we tried it again--we were pleased. We had chicken piccata, chicken parm, and spaghetti and meatballs. All enjoyed their meals and could not finish them (large servings). Service was good, but the waitress was not very friendly. Beer and wine selection was good and the bottled wine prices were reasonable. It has recently been remodeled and was very nice and comfortable inside. Not our favorite Italian place, but decent and a good value considering the large servings.

Nice location, good crowd. Looking at the review, expectations were high, but didn't get impressed. This was our first time here. Interiors are done well, but because of the pizza pickup on one side, the ambience is lacking. Ordered shrimp Bada bing for appetizer, it was good but very heavy. The shrimp is batter fried and dipped in a sweet spicy sauce. We had cheese ravioli in Rosa sauce for me and hubby and penne Rosa for kiddo. Both were nicely done. Got house salad with the main course. Might come back again to try pizza.

Great neighborhood place. Always get a good meal there at a very reasonable cost. Pasta dishes are top notch - generous portion sizes and taste great. Don't miss the bread that comes with the meal and the garlic sauce that comes with the bread. We go there quite often. Owner Jimmy is a great guy and will usually stop by the table and say hello

Nice ma and pa restaurant, they started even smaller. NO place has a better pie in the area. Yeah, it's pretty expensive, but if you're a pizza aficionado, then it's fully worth it. Even better, is to go in and order a couple of slices, as it's already been made and settled, then warmed to a perfectly crisp crust in their ovens that seriously are to die for, you can pull the cheese for days! They used to have a dish called Ravioli Rose that I used to get a lot, was wonderful, not sure they still have it. Also, I MUST add the bread they serve with everything is friggin'awesome. Love the remodeling they did. The restaurant looks a lot newer. It’s not just a carry out place. The restaurant inside have a great looking small bar. It’s a very nice chill out spot, when you getting off work. The restaurant inside looks amazing. The food is Awesome!!! Love the employees working there. The employees are very friendly. This is one of the restaurants I like to have a good meal with my Dad.Pastas are on the pricey side, but they're good and takeout is packaged decent. Bench to sit on while waiting for takeout. Online ordering works well. Side "garden" salad seem to be just lettuce with one cherry tomato cut in half, one sliver of green pepper, and one olive. Garlic toast not good for takeout.Wonderful local chain. Food and service was excellent! Even the bread they serve you to snack on while you're waiting for your meal is excellent!

I ordered today through door dash. I ordered a cheese pizza and a rootbeer. The rootbeer was $3 so I assumed it was a 2L sized bottle. No. It was a 12oz can, and it was warm when I received it. The pizza was really good, but their lack of description on the online door dash menu + the ridiculous price of a single can of root beer left an awful taste in my mouth. I'd consider the drink sale a scam.

Being from out of town (Boston), you don't know what to expect when you you go to a restaurant that you've never heard of, but we were pleasantly surprised....The food was abundant and delicious. The employees were courteous and accommodating. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the prices were extremely reasonable. It was an overall very pleasant experience.

Oooh, Mamma Lucia's has gone through some wonderful renovations. The rooms -- it used to be one kinda dingy room -- are now sleek, modern, and inviting. The food is terrific, as always, without any noticeable updates. I feel strongly that Mamma Lucia's pizza is one of the best in the area; beautiful, yeasty crust; sauce that is not too bitter or sweet; great toppings; all fired up in a very hot oven. A well-balanced pie! Their pasta dishes, at least the ones I've tried (OK, it's hard to stray far from a pretty perfect slice!), are abundant old-fashioned dishes, lovingly prepared, and taste as if they came out of MY mama's kitchen. Reasonable prices, too. Was disappointed today by some tough, overcooked calamari, but the dish of substitute meatballs made us completely forget any misstep had taken place. Give it a try!

A fresh new look to the restaurant goes a long way. A solid and toothsome slice of pizza makes a great and inexpensive lunch option. Their renovation was a few months ago, so if you haven't been around for a while, drop by and get a Sicilian with a glass of red. ;)

Stopped in based on the reviews. Ordered a meatball sub ($10) and a side salad ($5). The service was good, and the staff was friendly. The salad was romain that was chopped a little to fine to eat comfortably with a fork. 1/2 green, and 1/2 white, with a large helping of banana peppers and red olives. The sub was on a nice sub roll, and consisted of 3 large, mushy and bland meatballs and some very bland sauce. Very light on the cheese. It seemed like it was toasted, open faced so the top was crunchy and the bottom was soggy. I'm no foody by any stretch, but the meal was disappointing.

Good cheese and white pizzas, Caesar salad and spaghetti with meatballs. The best dish I had was the penne vodka. The service is responsive and friendly, pretty quick too. Parking can be a mess though, so be prepared for a busy parking lot.

I am from out of town and was invited to a 21st birthday party for my nephew. The service was phenomenal! The hosts served pizza as appetizers and had salmon, eggplant, chicken, and ziti as the main courses. I can't stress how much EVERYONE loved the salmon. We could not stop talking about it. The texture was perfect, it wasn't dried out, and it was seasoned perfectly! Im not a fan of eggplant, but i ate it too. The chicken and ziti are wonderful as well. Highly recommend this place for anyone!

We ate here for dinner. The lasagne was very good filled with lots of great tasting meat. The chicken piccatta was also very good. A light dish with lemon wine sauce and capers over the spaghetti. The Cesar and house salad was plentiful, maybe dry the romaine lettuce more as the Cesar dressing appeared watery. Can't say enough about the bread, so good!

Extremely nice place !! At first glance from outside you think it's only a small bar and carry out pizza to the left!! But, when we walked in, they have a whole dinning room in the back and far right side!! Felt very cozy!! Enjoyed the food very much!! Plus we just happened to be there on Wed evening which to our surprise was half off bottled wine!! Nice selection of reds, whites, and bubbly. Enjoy a nice red Luna Luna! Highly recommend this place, for both family, and couples. Was not loud! Wait staff were very pleasant! Would definitely go again!!

Great pizza all the time, fresh, chewy, yet soft on the inside, saving the best for last but include it or you'll miss the whole experience from first bite first dine in, place is Rock solid place. OMG.... just what a California girl needs after a rainy dark 10-hour drive from Atlanta, Georgia. The martini is so good I'm ready to order the next one already. The seafood in this Seafood Asparagus dish is fantastic.... I'm glad to be in the DMV again.

Nice italian restaurant. Four of us came in the evening and got a table. Nice and friendly garcon served us. He brought us glasses of cold water, bread and serving before we made an order. We asked for a large NY style pizza and it was ready in about 20 minutes. A bit noisy but still very comfortable place.

They haven't quite gotten everything down since their redo, so ask for stuff not on the menu. The place is delicious and the staff are very nice, if still a little flustered at times. I love the place and know that they will be running perfectly once they get in order.

By far the worst service i've ever recieved!!!!!!!!!!! the pizza was extra dry and nasty looking maybe 1 slice of each flavor. I asked to speak with the manager she was just as rude as her staff. she did nothing to make my experance better. ive never had this problem at the bethesda location they always have fresh pizza and nice friendly attentive staff. the rockville location should be ashamed of repping the mama lucia brand name!!!!!! i will never in the rest of my life go back to the rockville(shady grove rd ) location its a disgrace!!!!!!!!! the top cheff and manager need to me Fired ASAP
