Food was good but when we asked about military discount we were given 3.00 off a $113.00 table! We asked the waiter about it and she stated each needed a card but when it’s a family with three kids under the age of 11 and I was able to show 3 cards for my active duty husband myself and 12 yr daughter and that’s what I get! I was completely blown away and no sorry but I’ll pass on ever returning! You fail to realize that is not how military discounts work but when our spouses put their lives on the line to serve and you have the nerve to ask for a card for each person!!! You really don’t know how the military works so why even offer, when it’s a 1.00 per card shown that is a disgrace!!!!

Ate here once was pretty good nothing special. The second time chicken was very dry. They also gave me canned tomatoes with cilantro as salsa. WTF. This place is hit or mis.

The rice at the last school I went to was better than the rice here. The sour cream was also bad compared to my local grocery store’s. The table was also not properly cleaned when my party first sat down; there was still a big patch of soap remaining. Not to mention the stale taco shell and the toilet’s poor plumbing. I don’t want to come here ever again.

Got a burrito sudado to go. I got a side of chips and salsa, which was really great. The burrito is HUGE and came with a good amount of pico and guac, but the burrito filling is just way too much beans. Like it's 90% beans. The bits of steak tip in there are well seasoned and the rice is nice. But it's just. So. Much. Bean. I like beans, but it's too much. I would rather it be half the size and half the bean. Or more rice than bean. Maybe I just don't like beans as much as I thought.

This place had stale food and and the cheese did not taste like cheese. The sour cream tasted grainy and tasted old. The plumbing was bad and they were rushing us to finish our food.the waitress was only to our table twice and took our food away as so as i took one bite. Their was o whole bunch of bugs flying around. If i could i would give this plave zero stars. Also when i touched the table it was very greasy and it had soap one the table to that was sticky. Would not recommend this place.very disappointing.

We we're seated quickly and the manager brought us chips and salsa. Then we sat for 30 minutes. No beverages. No wait staff. Nobody ever came to our table. Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant.

Meh, I give this place a hard one or a zero if I could. I went in for Lunch and sat at the bar. The bartender got my drink and food order then she disappeared without getting me nachos and salsa. She didn't return until 5 mins later when she brought my food and then she was off again. I ordered tacos and a flauta. The food was bland and generic tasting as well as a little overpriced (Even for lunch deals). I've had more flavor in a dollar menu Taco Bell taco than this. Hot sauce might've helped but I had no one to ask. The bartender didn't return until she traded my plate for the check. I should've went with my gut (Which still wasn't full) and went a couple of doors down to "Crisp and Juicy" where the service, food and prices are great.

Is it standard Mexican? Yes!!! I say that with exclamation because this is a town that thinks yellow cheese is okay as part of Mexican cuisine. It's not. Finding this place made me so happy. I'll be eating here and only here every time I crave Mexican. Yum.

I really like this place but it may not be for everyone. Staff is very friendly. If your looking for a polished big chain feel you're in the wrong place. The food is great (Chips and salsa too). I like going here. It makes me smile. Go figure.

I honestly would give this place zero stars if I could. I ordered my food and it came out under five minutes, which is not a good sign. It tasted like straight cardboard too. The manager was hovering the whole time we were there. While I was in a conversation with someone, he comes over near us and just interrupts our conversation to ask us if we are finished. We felt incredibly rushed, and it was very rude of him. He was also rude to the bartender that was working that night as well. If you want good Hispanic food and a good atmosphere go to Mariachi on 355. Much better quality, and great service .

My wife and I just returned from an early dinner. We've been to Los Toltecos numerous times, and as before, the food was quite tasty and the service friendly and efficient. So why only three stars? The music. They had rap music on the entire time we were there. It gave the place the atmosphere of a basketball game. I'm not saying that anything louder than elevator music is not acceptable. There is a lot of lively, upbeat music, preferably Mexican in a Mexican restaurant, to choose from, but to our tastes, that does not include rap. Maybe it ups their bar sales, but if that is to be their regular selection, I'm afraid we'll have to find another venue when we go out for Mexican.

The atmosphere in this place is very nice. I love the staff the food and their hot sauce! I got in a lot of things at Los toltecos, and even though it's a little pricey it's worth it. The portion sizes are huge, and even though it's authentic Mexican food, I'll never stray away from the seafood dishes. Very good place to eat in Frederick.

Nice restaurant, but the tacos were a disappointment. I got tacos carnitas, as usual. They came with rice, beans, pico de gallo, and hot sauce. The carnitas was bland and not very flavorful. Each taco had only 1 tortilla instead of 2. And the tortillas were flour, not corn. They looked the same as the flour tortillas you can buy at the supermarket. The chips and salsa were OK. The salsa seemed kind of sweet. I'm not sure if they made it or if it came from a jar.

Our go to Mexican restaurant. It's tucked away in a strip mall. But he's really good food and awesome specials. We found this place a few years ago and instantly knew it was going to be our go to Mexican restaurant. We tried others in town, but felt they were overpriced with not the best food. It didn't feel fresh and as flavorful. So we come back to our 'hole in the wall'. The only thing I didn't like there were the tamales as they are too much corn for the meat. Love their fajitas. Highly recommend it.

This a lovely mexican restaurant. Always great service, and the food here is very good. They have a decent sized bar with plenty of happy hour specials. On Tuesday nights, they have a performance consisting of live dancers, and a singer. I would definitely recommend it!

The location was very convenient for me as it is close to my work. The waitress that waited on me was friendly and attentive. From what I could tell, the place was clean, and the atmosphere welcoming. But, the food was not what I expected. It was a little expensive for the quantity I got. It also didn't taste great; it was okay. I would probably choose a different restaurant if I have a hankering for Mexican food.

My wife and I had a thoroughly Pleasant dining experience at this lovely and authentically decorated Mexican restaurant. Every table had a different painting on it, and there were 14 different carvings on the chairs. The furniture was all handmade and it was gorgeous. We really love the decor, and the food was just excellent. It was served quickly with no fuss. The prices were very reasonable, the wait staff stop by numerous times to double-check that everything was good, and the manager even came by three times to double-check and talk to us and ask companions about various things. This was one of the most Diner friendly Mexican restaurants I think I've ever been to. Big big big ratings for these guys, they get it. Fairly large, but still intimate was a terrific blend and the kind of place where you can enjoy a terrific peaceful relaxing meal. I highly recommend it, well worth the trip, three thumbs up.

I used to eat here probably twice a month, and the only reason I still don't is because there are too many good restaurants in Frederick. That being said, if you're looking for the best full-service, full-menu Mexican restaurant in town, then this is it. I have yet to be disappointed in a meal here, though once or twice the service has been sub-par -- not a condemnation, but after eating there maybe 30 times or so, you expect a fluke or two. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are large, the food is rich and flavorful, and the beer is cold. What more could you want on a hot day? Or a cold day, for that matter?

I ordered Huevos & Chilaquiles, I got a chicken nacho with little sauce, no cheese and overcooked eggs. The server was pretty much clueless when I told him my opinion of the dish. No reason to go back to this establishment. Salsa was pretty wimpy, chips were good though.

Stopped in for a late lunch, and seated promptly. Drink order quickly arrived and only charged Happy Hour special prices (even though before Happy Hour). Server was very accomodating and helped us select menu choices that met our preferences for the food we described as what we liked. Have been here before with a larger group, and that time we All enjoyed the dinner. Menu selections here are more representative of the great variety of Mexican and Central American dishes that are often difficult to locate. This is great for those of us who enjoy more than tacos and burritos. Guacamole is a must try dish, although this diner prefers chips that are thinner and lighter. Chips and salsa are practically on your table before you can sit down. We cannot wait for our next visit.

Our waitress was difficult to understand and we were not clearly understood. She messed up the orders twice. Management did the right thing to compensate for her mistakes. Meat was charred. Overhead music was too loud and not conducive to an enjoyable, peaceful atmosphere nor meal. Loved the bright decor.

Los Toltecos is great. The food is probably the best authentic Mexican food in the Frederick area. It isn't usually super busy, the prices are reasonable and the staff is attentive. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you like white queso like my wife does.

Just moved to the area recently and was hoping to find a yummy Tex-Mex restaurant. Our first visit, the food wasn't the best, but our waitress was wonderful so it made the experience worth coming again. After today's meal, I would not return to this restaurant. The service was extremely slow and the food was not great at all. The waiter barely came to check on our table and just to pay our bill I had to grab the manager because the waiter was no where to be found. Would not come back again.
