One of my favorite places in Downtown, located in the Four Seasons Loch bar has a large indoor raw bar and seating as well as an outdoor patio facing the harbor. It is generally light and airy and somewhat more reasonably priced than the other Atlas group establishments. The happy hour is one of me and my wife's favorites in the area.

The food and the oysters were five star and the service was suitable, under the conditions. But I only give the Loch Bar "outside edition" a two. I was there from ~6 till 8 pm outside and it was lovely, except for one slight problem: My guest and I were seated facing directly to the West. The sun set in our faces for ninety minutes like a heat lamp on late-lunch deli fries. The whole row of outdoor tables were like that btw. In Florida they call those "sunburn seats". Even the waitress had a burn. They need to fix that customer comfort issue pronto, and then they might get the top shelf rating. Until then, "eat inside" is my early-evening recommendation.

Loch bar is one of few restaurants in Baltimore I never get tired of. Every friend or family who has come to visit me has indulged in Loch bar's frozen bourbon slushies and oyster shooters. Whether it be happy hour at the outdoor bar, upscale dinner in their comfy booth, or Sunday brunch, it is always a perfect meal and a memorable time. Great service and beautiful ambiance.

For starters grab the Tuna Poke appetizer, it's incredibly fresh and delicious. Best bang for your buck meal- Chesapeake Club, this thing is huge. Another incredible option for a main course is the Lobster roll, it will quickly transport you to Maine. Overall great restaurant. *Note: can get a little loud during happy hour.

I will start by saying that my past experiences with restaurants attached to hotels has been uneven at best - and more than often awful. Exception here. Loch Bar is a NYC-ish designed environment. As for happy hour, what can be pricey at other times is quite reasonable in the immediate after-work hours. Now, on certain evenings this will lead to an influx of people looking for a bargain. And Loch Bar can get noisy. However, the beer list is quite decent, the happy hour wines exceptional (and that is as rare find), the oysters cold, plump and juicy and rest of the menu well-done. And the noise level will subside after the 6PM hour. Multiple servers behind the bar provide cordial and attentive service. If I lived/worked in Harbor East or Fells, this would be my permanent hangout. Preference over Pendry. If it's Happy Hour. Go enjoy. Other times, Loch Bar can be a wee-bit pricey

Great spot, although I have little experience with the menu. It seemed limited, but I could be wrong. Favorite feature is sitting at the outside bar to people watch or catch the game on the TV. Good drink menu, too. Lots of outside dining, as well. Location is the key to Lock Bar.

I had an impromptu happy hour put together tonight for a few of my girls and we decided on loch bar. And SO glad we did! Talk about a pleasant surprise! The staff was amazing, particularly our waiter Dell who worked hard to find me the perfect refreshing cocktail to fit the day I had. We ordered a few appetizers and happy hour bites and were pleasantly surprised the entire way. He even graciously swapped out the blue cheese (I'm allergic) for a delicious alternative on the charcuterie board! This is a place for a repeat visit! Wit and wisdom is next door which is a strong alternative but don't pass this place up! Did I mention$4 drafts???!!!! And happy hour 3-7 Sunday through Friday! Hello Sunday funday? Add it to your list, you will not be disappointed.

My family of 10 made a reservation at the Loch Bar expecting delicious food, great scenery, and excellent service. The food and outdoor area itself were as expected, however, we were incredibly disappointed with our waiter. He was rude, dismissive, and inattentive. He also refused to consult the chef regarding a dietary restriction and responded with a request about the menu stating "We can't do anything for you except a salad without cheese." I highly doubt the chefs at this restaurant couldn't have prepared an entree or sides without dairy. At times it took 30 minutes to see our waiter again. This was supposed to be an important meal for our family and I would highly recommend people avoid this restaurant if you're looking for at least an average service experience.

I have been to Loch Bar on numerous occasions and as par for the course for all the Atlas restaurants its pricey and just about average. I have done HH a couple of times, good deals on oysters and been to brunch a bunch of times. Go on Sunday for brunch, $4 mimosas. The club cheasepeake which i had recently for $29 was just a colossal fail, cant believe i paid $29 for a sandwich.

Totally disappointed in this restaurant re: there dress code. I was wearing adidas pants after travel for 1 hour~wanted to grab a quick bite on the pier and was told I can’t dine in due to adidas pants which I was informed are athletic wear-gym clothing. Not to mentioned~their were individuals who had on baseball caps, tennis shoes, denim shorts and golf shirts. Totally confusing.

I ordered the crab grilled cheese sandwich. It was delicious, however the bread became a little soggy due to all of the crab and cheese that was on it. The only way that I would order it again, would be if the bread is thicker so that it can handle the crab and cheese, without getting soggy.

The view was nice but the tiny piece of swordfish was old and smelled. Six of us had mediocre meals. The worst part was their use of what I consider to be artificial vinegar, the taste of ordinary chemicals on a salad. For these prices, a nice vinegar would have been appropriate. This is obviously a true tourist trap!

We were simply looking for somewhere to get a cocktail, mid-Saturday-afternoon in winter... we happened upon the Four Seasons and went to the Loch Bar. The bartender seemed at first frustrated, and it became apparent that a large party were running him ragged - he kindly apologised, and then the maître d’ brought us a plate of fried oysters - kind, welcoming and delicious! I really look forward to visiting again and sampling some of the menu’s delights, as those that passed us to other guests looked tantalising. Many thanks again.

Hostesses on Sunday 8/11 were not friendly. Meaning that they did not greet you when you walked in. There were tables available outside, but would not let us sit there. We sat uncomfortably next to another couple. We asked to sit at the table next to us, we were told no. The whole 2.5 hrs we were there, the table outside and next to us remained empty. We drove all the way from Waldorf, to try this seafood restaurant. Could have went to the Wharf in DC instead. Giving only 2 stars because the food was ok.

I ate here 3 days in a row. I was recently in town for a wedding at the Four Seasons (next to this restaurant). I had the lobster roll, crab soup, and arugula salad. I also had their bloody mary. Everything was phenomenal. If I had to recommend one thing- go with with lobster roll. Service and atmosphere were also great!

Horrible customer service . The bartender outside would not serve us a drink she claimed you can only get inside. Which is untrue I’ve ordered the same drink at the outside bar. Our bartender inside did not want to take our order it was like we were invisible. He checked on multiple guest periodically except for us . When he served me my Johnnie Blue Label it was in a clearly broken glass! Wow I would hate to think it was the color of our skin for this treatment . This is my last visit to this establishment.

Nice experience to stay outside for a great view and gentle wind. Tried the seasonal cocktail named “loch bar”. When I almost finished, it suddenly rains moderately! Had the Cream of Crab soup , crab grilled cheese (to die for), & the steak lettuce wraps - it was ALL delicious! The drinks were also delicious! Great selection of very fresh oysters and cocktail with very interesting tastes. The soup crabs was amazing, get a bowl !! I had the swordfish that was not exceptional, friends had the lobster roll which was good. Great atmosphere with live band music sometimes !

Great atmosphere! Not a pickle fan but I tried the fried pickles for the first time and they were pretty good. I really enjoyed the cream of crab soup. Very tasty! The salmon wrap (well done) was delicious too. My server Mike made my time there an experience I wont forget. So 5 stars for him alone. Lol! A little pricey but that's to be expected because it is a upscale restaurant with a perfect view (especially outside) but I look forward to going back especially for Happy hour!!

The food and atmosphere was amazing! The service was horrible. It took forever for my waiter to bring my drink of water, once the food was delivered half of our party's order was missing and took repeatedly asking to get the rest. The table didn't have enough silverware for every guest so we had to ask the hostess who then asked another person who asked another person for a set of silverware. We still didn't have any after the meal was delivered and the waiter never returned to check on us so we had to just take it from the empty table across from us. The outside bar area looked pretty busy but the indoor area was pretty bare besides the live band so it made zero sense for the lack of attention we received. We all were very disappointed in our dining service on that night.

Fresh and delicious, shared the lobster roll, crab cake and caesar salad adorned with anchovies. French onion and clam soups were excellent. Enjoyed the atmosphere, sitting in the window on the water. With its great location, awesome views and serving staff, this popular spot is a great place to dine in Baltimore. Reservations are a must. We started with really good cocktails, and it should be noted this place has an amazing list of bourbons, ryes and scotches. I loved my grapefruit crush.

We ate there the other night for our anniversary. I ordered the Maryland crab cake, with this restaurant on the water and cost of it I expected the crab cakes to be over the moon delicious. But I was so sad. The one cake had all crab with a very very small amount of fuller. The second crab cake did not even taste like crab. It tastes like a hush puppy. I was very disappointed. Ive had better crab cakes for half the cost. Plus i was so sad they dont have any sweet wine on all their alcohol wine list. We were celebrating so alcohol was on the list. Very sad. Plus it was so loud that I found it hard to talk with my husband let alone give my order. Side note we found an ant on our table... Gross but we were done eating so not much we could do then.

Lacked on things as simple as refills and went missing for a period of time to where we had to ask another server to find her. We got there at 9:30 and our dinner lasted for over 3.5 hours.

We took the whole office there for a birthday lunch. Excellent drinks (especially the Frosé) but the food needs some major help. Sandwiches were fine but the Seafood was insanely salty. Like "someone is playing a joke on you" salty. The topic of conversation in the office the next couple of days was how gassy and bloated we were. We now have a running joke that whomever is late for a meeting has to eat at Loch Bar without access to a bathroom after.

LOVE the food and drink. Service is always subpar - but tonight the staff was embarrassing. We were told it was an inconvenience if we moved to a table (to sit our party of 3, because couples were sitting with a chair between each of them). Every request or order was received with an eye roll and a huph... I guess we took them away from their cell phone conversations. We will always support local music, but cringe a little more each time we mention this location.

I met some friends from out of town here before going to dinner at another establishment. My friends were at the bar and had already had their drinks. I got the attention of one of the bartenders and asked for a non-alcoholic beverage. To which he replied grumpily, "so what is that? " I repeated myself and asked for a non-alcoholic beverage, as I looked at him puzzled that he didn't know what a non-alcoholic beverage was. I even told him he could surprised me. The bartender sucks his teeth, rolls his eyes and mutters, not so softly, "I mean I'm not clairvoyant! "

great food, period. we ordered raw oyster (4 different kinds) fried oyster (so succulent and soft it melts in your mouth), cream of crab soup (super good with hint of spiciness) and french onion soup (properly made just in paris). for entree, we got Maine diver scallop, rock fish and filet mignon (of course! why would you come to the place like this and not order the best cut of the beef?) all were just simply excellent. both my husband and i have been to some of the best steak houses in the country and around the world, we were both impressed with the cooking here. service was attentive and no fuss. the only thing i think they could have done better was 1) offer some dinner rolls free... really, for the $300 dinner, you can afford to give your guest some dinner breads like all the other good steak houses (capital grille, del fresco) 2) we were there for early dinner, and it is happy hour. half price draft was offered but only if you sit by the bar. why?! you'd rather cater to people who do not spend as much money? again, not what i have typically experienced in a high end place. maybe it is just baltimore. not that i care about $4 which comes about 1% of my total bill. but when you are a pricy place, you need to act more like real posh establishment as opposed to just being pricy.

The customer service was great. The food was okay but definitely not as expected for the prices. The crab cakes however were amazing! Definitely fresh crab meat and no imitation crab used. Other than that honestly I wasn't very impressed by the food. I ate there three times during my stay in Baltimore Harbor. The ambiance it decent and restaurant was kind of small but cozy. The bathrooms definitely needs to be cleaned more often especially to accommodate the weekend crowd they bring in through tourism!

My 1st time going and it was "ok". The food is definitely overpriced for the portions offered and flavor, or lack thereof. We ordered the crab and artichoke dip (which had more artichoke than crab, not worth $24) , lobster sliders, cream of crab soup (awesome), the Chesapeake club, and the porkchop with a side of shells and cheese. I also had a frose, which I'll admit was absolutely delicious! They definitely made up for it there! I wanted to experience the views, but it had rained. I'll probably come back for happy hour! Oh, and service was fast and our waitress was decent.

I will definitely come here again. Ordered Mussels (must have), Maryland oysters, crab soup and red wine. I only paid $35 (exc tips) during happy hour, worth every penny Came again the second day and had Tuna poke, Scallop carpaccio, old-fashioned drink, Oyster Rockefeller

This place is amazing and the atmosphere is awesome. Service and food will have you telling friends and family to visit. MJ the bartender has a wonderful personality and serve up the drinks fast and perfect. I will make our way here again and often.

Food and drinks were really good. Ordered the fried oysters appetizer and the salmon/shrimp and grits entree. Everything was great. Also ordered the Smith Island cake. It was good, but the texture made me think I it just came out of the refrigerator. Still good though. A little pricey, but will definitely go back to try some of the other dishes.

Very good food and service. Crab cake was excellent. Lobster roll was good. The Apple Crisp was not good at all but the ice cream was delicious. The Smith Island cake was good.

Great Service and Atmosphere. The management staff really know what they are doing. Went here on Valentines Day last minute (due to another restaurant near the pier failing us). We were sat at a community high top table. We were fortunate to have a good deal of space. Overall fantastic food. Their three course menu selections were amazing (we ordered the Salmon OMG! Cheese tray was great! Oysters were so fresh and tasty. I would come here again and again. Bring on the spring and summer months! Thank you for providing excellent customer service.

I had a grapefruit crush and it was very delicious and sweet. We just stop here for drinks but the food smell really good. The place was crowded and they had life music playing. I'm planning to come back to taste the food and hopefully get a table outside.

This is my 3rd trip to loch bar and I must say I really love this place! I am completely obsessed with their frose’. It is perfectly sweet and also leaves you with a slight buzz (which is great because I feel like most frozen drinks lack alcohol even if they say it’s there). On my most recent visit I tried the crab dip and it was delicious with a decent amount of lump crab meat (being a Marylander I am very critical of dishes that contain crab so I approve of this dish! Lol). I ordered the crab grilled cheese with a side salad drizzled with a vinaigrette. I loved it and would definitely order again. The salad was a nice fresh compliment to the heaviness of the sandwich. My aunt who accompanied me ordered the shrimp salad with fries and she enjoyed her food as well. Our visit was to celebrate my aunts birthday so they surprised us with mini shot glass sized versions of their frozen whiskey drink (which was less sweet than the frozen but also a good drink option), an oatmeal chocolate chip skillet cookie topped with a vanilla ice cream bar covered in a dark chocolate shell. I am not a chocolate chip fan but this cookie was very warm and yummy! Needless to say I highly recommend this restaurant and if you don’t try anything else I mentioned please order the frose! PS they also offer nice outdoor seating which I believe is heated during the colder months.

Fried oysters!!!!! Beautiful location by the water. Soft music, great bartending & a extension wine bar. You will feel like new money when you walk in. Happy hour is just as great. So much to love about loc bar. Over tip your servers they work hard. Quality is number 1 priority here.
