Great food, great ambiance local traditional french food. The Souffle is a must have, one of the best in the Washington DC metro area. In addition, highly recommended the 2 tiered raw tray if u like raw shell fish. Great food, great sevices with a reasonable price tag.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time and we really liked it. We had the mussels appetizer and it was my favorite part of the meal. My only complaint is that there should be more mussels on the plate! He had the coq au vin and I had the filet bordelaise and we each enjoyed our meal. For dessert we tried the souffle, which was good as well.

Food and service we're excellent. Did not rush us through the meal. But comes with the price of the meal cost. Too expensive for just going out once in a while. Once and done for us I think. It's not wallet friendly. But if you can drop more than $30 per plate then it's your place. Atmosphere was nice just to leave on a good comment.

As a regular, I could just east an entire baguette with french butter along with Baked snails. The truth is I love french food and Les Folies has not only the best Foi Gras but the best mussel dishes and the paella is to die for.

It was our first visit to this establishment. $25.50 3 courses brunch was a great deal, but what impressed us the most is the quality of the food. It was outstanding. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. The ambiance is nice and cozy. The service is the only part that we'd wish to be better. Our waiter was "trying to be very professional", but was not very attentive, forgot couple of things and confused our bill with overcharging for not ordered drinks. Otherwise it would be 5 star experience. We definitely will continue to patronize this restaurant. P.S. The second visit was even better. The same server served us but this time he was perfect. The food impressed us more too. Thank you for a wonderful brunch!

A real French Brasserie with Alain the owner in the kitchen cooking with passion and talent The decor is typically French with burgundy banquettes and French memorabilia. The food is classic French bistro food, not the heavy old fashion French cooking. The staff show the same passion for you since they have all been there for many years and will recognize you and make your experience and real delight. Plenty of parking, a patio and a bar allow you to make it a destination for different occasions. Do not wait to go and dine there, bon appetit.

Because of the terriable servicce and unfriendly staff, we had some old bat, with a nasty attitude. My husband has parkinsons and the restaurant was very cold we ased if she could turn it up a littlel, she said noway thats happing I'M hot enough!!!! I asked for a glass of wine, pinot she said this is not and Italian restaurant it's FRENCH. Lunch cost over 300. dolllars they won't get that from me again. She must be the owners mother.

Their food was definitely delicious but everything was over priced and the service was honestly rather rude. We had made reservations on open table that day granted, and when we got there the host was rather short with us, and stuck us in the cold back room by ourselves party of 3. Then the waiter was inattentive and we ordered our drinks and our food at the same time. The whole place seemed really snobbish and well like a bad stero-type of a French restaurant.

Today for the first time I was very disappointed with the food. The calamari was fried to a crisp. This was quite a surprise since up till today the calamari has been perfectly cooked and delicious. Soft and tender. The other disappointing dish was the salmon appetizer. A meager portion was served without capers. Since I was entertaining a friend, I did not say anything. I have taken many friends to lunch and dinner at Les Folies and they have loved the food. I hope today was an unprecedented happening.

Delicious French onion soup, legit hole in the wall French cuisine. Grilled salmon was just okay, and a little light portioned. Could have been more fire grilled and have come with some fancy potatoes or something. Pesto sauce could have been drizzled over salmon. Overall great place and recommend. Great staff

A very nice restaurant in a reasonable price range. Don't expect a really *French* experience though. The menu is in French and English with some French choices but most of the fare is standard good restaurant dishes.

A great place if you're looking for good, authentic French cooking and wines. The soufflés are amazing and definitely get the escargot. The clientele does skew into the more mature range but I've always felt welcomed by the staff so don't let that keep you away. It's a great romantic dinner location with a lot of fun events around the holidays.

Excellent meal with knowledgeable, friendly staff and owner. It's an old school establishment (decor, layout, china/cutlery) but still relaxed enough to feel comfortable. The restaurant is a bit pricey on some items, though not uniformly and not too pricey that it exceeds the quality. I've been to a few other French restaurants in the area and this is the clear best. One random fact to know if driving - making a turn northbound on Riva (left turn) from the lot is technically illegal, and depending on the time of day potentially impossible anyway due to traffic patterns. Obviously not a reason to avoid, as the location and parking is otherwise convenient and easy, but just something to keep in mind.
