When you cant cook or dont want to but still want korean food like mom used to make. Tuna kimbap is a favorite (I know it sounds weird) and love the fried dumplings (extra crunchy and fat filling).

My visit at Kimbop Nara is one that I won’t regret. The food is phenomenal, packed with lots of flavor and the right amount of spice with any dishes carrying it. Although the furniture may seem worn, it begins to create a comforting sensation. The workers are very respectful and kind, and they are very efficient. If you are ever craving Korean food, please do not hesitate to come here!

Delicious unassuming family-run Korean restaurant (or really deli or luncheon with it's bare bones set up - atmosphere snobs need not attend if you're apt to complain) with generously portioned meals located in an equally unassuming but balanced shopping strip (with a giant liquor store and a korean-french style bakery and cafe next door) which makes the entire building a perfect weekend one stop shop for a lunch date after a night of drinking or as an evening out itself. Options were a bit different than some of the other restaurants I've been to in the area which was nice. Kimbap was good as was their meal combos which werewere pr substantial and great for sharing. Is it the best? Definitely "homestyle" food as opposed to bar food or more meaty bbq but everything tasted good to me. I cannot however designate myself as an expert in Korean food so Korean reviewers will be a better point of reference. Service was nice, unfussy - was waited on most likely by one of the owners. They had many customers in who seemed to be regulars. Catering definitely towards local Korean families instead of large crowds they're not aiming to be trendy or hip but nevertheless is. Be kind and courteous when there.

I went here for my first time, a week ago, because I was craving Tteok-bokki and I usually go to Bonchon to satisfy my cravings but my wallet disagreed , so I ended up coming here with my sister who urged me that this place is pretty good. After ordering we ended up received our food fairly quickly within 15 minutes or less , it was blazing hot , but better than it being warm. The Kimbop was delicious (it was my first time trying this ) and the tteokboki was to die for, literally, my tongue almost fell off and I'm pretty sure it took two days for my tastebuds to resurrect but it was worth it and so was the price! I got the combo for the the tteokboki and kimbop and it was ONLY $10.95 and enough for me and my sister to share , I will def be back.

Absolutely love this place, the Kimbap is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. I've never dined in because the space is very small and not well cleaned, but the staff I've interacted with has always been nice. The bulgogi and tuna kimbap are my favorites, but all of the food here is good. Will be back!

A quiet little place - absolutely perfect for a quick lunch and a conversation. The food is fantastic, with menu selections offering authentic Korean dishes as well as select few, which draw influence from Chinese and Japanese cuisines. The prices range from a few dollars for appetizers to up to approximately twenty for entrees. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, able to offer descriptions and choices of the dishes best suited your wants, should you have any difficulty deciding. The restaurant is clean, with moderate lighting, and neat restrooms.

Becoming my new favorite! Honey Pig was me and my bestie's go to Korean restaurant but now that we've discovered this place we go here all the time! The amount of food for price is excellent! They are super nice here too. I've been 4 times in the last two months! They have great variety on the menu. Beware of spice though when ordering because some of these dishes are VERY spicy, my bestie says I'm a wuss, lol!

I have come here a few times for lunch and enjoyed the food. I usually order a Kim Bap, which is like a very large sushi roll. I like the tuna salad one and the beef one, but I tried the cheese one and didn't care for it. The cheese flavor was too strong. I think it was properly made, so no stars off, but it wasn't to my taste. I've also had some of the stews and it filled me up and I enjoyed them a great deal. I do not speak Korean and the English of the staff is a bit rough, but we always manage to communicate just fine.

It is a small place with limited menus. You won't get to taste a whole variety of wonderful Korean food. But it's tasty and the price is reasonable. The service is fine. However they are not upto their names. Non of their Kimbob is tasty. They sell just cheap junky styles only. I can make better one than they do easily. They will have to learn how to make better Kimbob starting with how to prepare and treat the rice that goes into the roll first to live upto their business name.

This is the type of place I hesitate to review, because if it becomes as popular as it deserves to be, they might start charging what the food is actually worth. This place has all the Korean classics that don't make it into the menu at your standard KBBQ place. Ddeokbokki, Kong guksu, manduguk, jjol myun, are just a start. It's the kind of menu you look at and think "when can I come back here and try the rest?". The prices might lead you to believe that they're small portions and that you should order multiple dishes to make a full meal. Do not do this! I mean you can if you want, but you're going to be taking home some serious leftovers. We had 4 entrees, and with soft drinks, tax, and tips, the bill came out under $45 (plus we took home a full meal of leftovers). More importantly, the food was delicious, and uncompromisingly Korean. Plenty of Korean BBQ places sweeten up the sauces and tone down the fermented veggies to accommodate American tastes, but this restaurant is like a portal to Seoul.

..... really am baffled by all the good reviews, probably since they’re not posted by actual Koreans. Kimbab has slight flavors of food going bad, probably because they’re not keeping the kitchen clean in the back.... their mandu was very bland... although ddukbboki was decent since it wasn’t absurdly sweet like most places.... their kimchi banchan was horrible.
