My daughter and I discovered a wonderful Korean restaurant in the heart of Glen Burnie. The meal was tasty and filling. The meat in the bulgogi dish was seasoned just right; tender and seems to melt in your mouth. The atmosphere was homey and our server was such a delight. Overall, this was a great experience and one I will revisit and savor again in the future.

Loved this Korean restaurant. It has all the choices you could want, from the classics like kalbi or bulgogi or bibimbap, to an expansive soup and noodle list. The food came out fast and hot, and was delicious. The banchan was plentiful as well. Watch out for that yogurt sake though, it's about a liter of that tiny delicious post-meal yogurt drink that you get at Korean places, but mixed with a bunch of booze. Very sweet, and a lot of it. Good though! Had a really good meal here and will return!

My gf and I have never had Korean food before we came here. The manager came out and asked us what kind of foods we like and all kinds of questions. He ordered a seafood soup/ noodle thing for me and beef bulgogi for my girl friend. He also ordered Korean style chicken wings for an appetizer. It was out of this world and we will DEFINITELY be back! Can not recommend this place enough. The staff is so friendly and the food is amazing. Great atmosphere, great food and amazing people. 5/5 top notch!

This can be very intimidating for the first time visitors, but the staff are very helpful and try there best to help. Menu has allot of great authentic Korean food choices. Dumplings (menu items 1 & 2) are a must. Good to see they include Banchan with your meal.

I love this place since the food is wonderful. You can enjoy Korean style Chinese food and authentic Korean foods, together. I recommend you to try to have Samsunjajjang, noodle and jajjang sauce are served separately. Sauce has a plenty of sea foods in it. The food is great at a reasonable price, and I always have a really good experience here. Also, the staff members are so friendly and welcoming. Their service is always prompt and accurate and professional. I like the atmosphere.

Ja Kum Sung has great food and an incredibly friendly staff. This is the only place in the US that I've been able to find kongguksu, which you should definitely ask for since it's not on the menu. But when I asked for it they made it and it was so good.

Walked into this place on impulse. Was greeted by a waitress who's friendliness was in no way limited by language. I ordered bulgoggi, primarily because it was one of the dishes I recognized. First out was seven or eight tiny dushes of banyam(?) containing a variety of items including kimchi, pickled cucumber and see one unknown items all good. The bulgoggi came out so sizzling, expertly seasoned and absolutely delicoous. I will be back often and will explore many other items on the menu.

JJam bong here is just way better than ones in Ellicott city. you can tell by just looking at it. portion is big too. Best Chinese Korean place in near route 100 and 40. Korean restaurants mostly bad on route 40 because they make money, not food.

Absolutely delicious, and the staff is very efficient and charming. We loved the unique hardwood tables, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and good for kids and adults. Kids may not like the sharp tastes and smells. Huge pork dumplings, wonderful vegetable and seaweed appetizers, the seafood is fresh and cooked perfectly, and the bibimbap is the BEST I've ever had! This restaurant is 2nd only to Carlson's in Annapolis for Asian flare.

You get a good amount of food for the money and what my daughter and my self ordered was good. We will visit again. Although you get large servings expect to pay 10 to 25 per entree. Even APPS were up to 20... with that said 2 people could eat off one entree. So the value vs cost is equal i feel.

Been here twice. First time, fantastic food. Ordered the bulgogi and the galbi and loved it. Second time, came back and ordered the same set. As they were bringing the bulgogi out, I immediately could smell a rank odor from it. Basically the smell of old meet with rancid fat. Took a few bites and couldn't grit through it and had to return it (I usually will not return food, but this was bad). Got home, promptly encountered food poisoning and am paying the price the next day. I will not be coming back, at least for a while.

I took my family of eight out to dinner for my daughter's 23 B-day. We made reservations before we got there but it was very crowded. However the owner opened the party room and accommodate us. As we were finishing up our meal he came back and asked if everything was okay. We told him everything was wonderful and then he offered my kids a opportunity to try there karaoke. The kids had so much fun I think we stay there an extra hour before we had desert. Also of course the food was fantastic. Thanks so much for great service and wonderful experience. Waldo family

The food and service were exceptional! I didn't care for the style of background music playing from the bar. It was a fotm of rap music that made me uncomfortable and nervous. When I complained about the volume, the waitress turned it down.

This is my go to place for Korean Chinese food. The service is always great and they're very accommodating. Dishes we usually get includes mandoo (dumplings - steamed or fried), ja jang myun (black bean sauce noodles), jam bong (spicy seafood noodles), tang soo yuk (sweet and sour pork), gan pong gi (spicy sweet chicken), and beef fried rice. If you can't decide which one you want, they even have a half and half combo for you to have the best of both worlds. Good place for family and the food comes out fast.

Nice Korean-Chinese style restaurant. Plenty dishes to choose from. The condiments were endless! They do not have vegetarian dishes. They were able to cook a dish minus the shrimp and squid for my son.

Went last night for the first and last time. We ordered two entrees and they gave us whatever they wanted for both. When I asked, "Where is the pork in my food?" The response was, "Beef is better." How dare they decide what I eat when I order and pay for a specific item!? My friend also ordered a pork dish with no noodles and it was, instead, filled with shrimp and had several noodles in it. What if he was allergic to shellfish!? He'd be in the hospital. This place is dangerous and needs to be investigated. Update: I received a reply that wasn't accurate. I've never been a fan of making excuses versus accepting responsibility. To be clear: I ordered a dish that originally, per their official menu, contained pork. Not beef. I am capable of reading. I made no substitutions. Neither did the person with whom I visited. We even pointed to the items to clarify what we wanted. They still brought something else. And of course we were not going to wait another 30 mins for food that, based upon the current experience at that time, likely would have been incorrect. Your staff did the wrong thing (did not state nor imply that it was intentional) and then someone came on and fabricated information in a response. Unacceptable.

Super tasty food too. I'm not in Baltimore very often but when I do come into town this is going to be a must visit restaurant.

This was a great experience. The food was very good. The short ribs were well seasoned and very tender. I also had the Udon. It was great. Stocked with seafood and the broth taste as if it was from the sea. We could not finish it there and it may not make it to the office tomorrow. I was thoroughly impressed with the food and service.

My girlfriend and I had visited this place for our second time. The first time the food was fantastic and the service was friendly and quick. However, the second time we came after work around 9:30. The food was still great but the service was very different. They immediately told us we had to order quick. The kitchen was closing in 20 minutes. We already knew what we wanted so we were able to order quickly. During our meal, they actually told us to pay now so they could close out the register and to leave immediately and even took it a step further and told us to come earlier next time. My girlfriend was actually trying to eat faster because of rushed she felt. This made me not leave a tip and they got even more rude after that. The minute I stepped out of the door they immediately shut the door and turned off the lights, I didn't even make it to my car which was one spot away. If you want to close at 10:00, then you should change your posted hours. We won't be coming back.

This was surprisingly really really really good. I had the extra spicy seafood soup. It was absolutely amazing it was really hot. I'm a pepper head it was hot to me. Also got the crispy chicken wings dish that was amazing. My son got the Mongolian beef which was really really good also. From the time we placed our order to the time we got our food incredibly quick. like to order an appetizer expecting to get it before your food and then the food come out like that allow later know everything showed up all at once. And that was okay.

We walked in and had to find someone to seat us, then we asked for a high chair three times for our son never got one. We sat there for over 10 minutes and didn’t have any service at all. The food looked good but I wouldn’t know since they didn’t feel like serving us.

Went in on Friday night place was packed was pointed to a table. I took a minute to be waited on in the confusion between a full house and lots of carry out and delivery orders. Those dumplings (good mandu) are by far some of the most impressive dumplings I've ever had from anywhere, and also some of the biggest. Like almost small empanada sized dumplings. Banging, you'll need extea sauce.

Today we ordered over the phone we ordered Seafood kimchi soup and boneless fried chicken, but after we picked up and started eating at home they made us pork kimchi soup and Fried chicken with the bone.........feel so upset this time. Not sure what happened, but I don’t eat pork which is why I ordered seafood, I don’t have time to go back because I have young children. I will have to bring the soup to work and ask my co worker if they want it tomorrow.....

This is definitely one of the best restaurant in this area, and we love it! We have been dining here over 50+ times over the past 2 years. First of all, the food is GREAT! Seolleongtang (ox bone soup) is the favorite dish of my 1 year old girl and sometimes she can finish more than half a big bowl by herself. There are a number of dishes that I love, especially the Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodles), Jokbal (pig feet), Bulgogi, chicken wings, etc. Not just about the taste, the environment is warm and cozy. Tables are very clean and the staff and boss are very friendly and very polite. We don't speak Korean but we never encounter any problems in communications. We have been here so many times that we feel like being close friends/family. I just wanna thank all staff members of Ja Kum Sung for the excellent service, food and experience.

It is the best Korean-Chinese restaurant in the DC and Baltimore metro. The staffs are always nice and the food is good as I used to had in Korea. Their tangsooyuk is the best tangsooyuk I ever tasted. And the basic Jajangmun and Jang Pong are also very good. I always take my American friends to this restaurant. I would highly recommend this place

The best Korean restaurant in my area. The food was amazing and the service was great. I think there is a disconnect with some people because they are not familiar with Asian culture. This is more of a traditional Korean restaurant and from what I seen a lot of the clients are Korean too. Take everything in stride and know that everyone in the kitchen and the table area is doing the best they can in their own way.

Googled this place and I am glad that I found this place. 짜장면 & 짬뽕(Jja-jang-myun & Jjam-pong) was great. 탕수육(sweet & sour pork) is huge portion. Haven't tried any Korean dishes but they all look good. Oh and the ladies here are so nice. They know what they are doing.
