Life in the United States for decades, I have never been so angry like yesterday night, just to eat dinner. I am also a boss of the restaurant, I never try to be the customer is supreme. I will avoid conflict with the guests and meet the requirements of the guests, I think this is a service industry the basic attitude and respect for the guests. First of all I say is in the Iron Age early reservation is useless, because they will be cancelled in situations where you don't know, have come to determine the number, less number of such as one or two people you want to got to the end of the line, suggest you must tell the front desk in a timely manner, or you and no one called you an hour. Then there was a problem when you don't want to look for the manager, because the manager to also won't comfort you, more won't give you any explanation. They won't to lose you this a few guests and guilt, and when I go out to see them in the laugh at us. Because I do chest to cause a little pain, I'm sure that will never don't come here.

I'm going to give you some tips. A- It's super loud. We joked it was a place to break up with someone..or be sure to bring your phone so you can text whoever you are with. It's a long process..but fun. Chicken takes forever(no salmonella please) Our issue was - we had 6 people - and 1 grill. It really took forever..and you can only cook 1 thing - so you all have to agree. The couple next to us had 1 grill as well and only 2 people - so you really need a table with 2 grills if you have that many people. So..we would get something cooked - and it would be gone - and the wait would begin again. The food is good..not amazing..but it's a fun experience. So..if you can..bring 8 people so you can get a reservation..or 2 so you can speed the process up.

First visit for my brothers birthday. The food was fantastic! Service was spectacular. Love how they all came to the table to sing him happy birthday and gave him a piece of pie. I like that they get your next order after bringing the first order. After they got the burner working properly everything went much quicker. Cons- music was so loud we could not hear each other, so it was a very impersonal birthday celebration. Our burner on our table was malfunctioning so it took like 20 minutes before we could eat any meat. Since we all could not hear the waiter half the time I didn't know what I was eating.

Yes! All you can eat meat and other sides is definitely incredible and delicious. The quality of food is much better than the competitors, with a lot of meat options and flavors. Iron Age steak and bulgogi are my favorites, but there are other great options as well. Definitely try the rice cakes - probably the best non-meat on the menu. The cooking can be slow, so it's important to cycle the food properly, but if you do it right you can eat more than your stomach can handle. Pretty awesome. Only challenge is that the grill is too small so it is harder to safely cook multiple meat types if you get chicken. Come hungry and plan on staying over an hour at least.

Such a great intro to Korean BBQ. Order whatever kind of meat you want, 2 at a time. Eat the salad, pickled veggies while your meats and other veggies cook in front of you. Want your steak rare or well done? Easy peasy. Takes a little dexterity to manipulate the scissors for cutting over the grill. So worth it! And don't worry if you can't get the hang of it. They'll come help way before your food burns. Oh! And try everything! Never thought I'd like warm spicy marshmallow texture rice puffs. They are so good! Great selection of Korean and American alcohol and non alcoholic if you want to go all out, too. Careful, you'll start to get cravings if you haven't been in awhile!

I love korean bbq and this is the best korean barbaque place so far. Their price is better compare to other korean restaurants.The staff are nice, customer service oriented. The only thing is the waiting time before they get you to situated on their table. It will take you approximately 5-10minutes or even longer. Great place for after work dinner with friends and family.

Talk about a fun place to eat! My husband took me here for a date a few weeks ago, and it was a lovely experience. Hot, fresh meats of your choice are cooked right in front of you. They give you rice and a few oils and sauces to dip with, and your meat. The pricing is fair, believe me. My only criticism would be the wait time was ridiculous. Waited a half hour, but it seemed that could have been halved if they had two more servers scheduled or something. Maybe someone had called out that evening. We'll be returning.

I happened to be in the area and thought I'd check this location out. The space is incredible. I usually go to the Rockville location which is much smaller -- it's almost unfair to call them part of the same Iron Age family as this difference in size changes the experience, or at least it did for me. Luckily we only waited about 15 minutes for a table on a Sunday evening, but it seemed like they might have been understaffed because the server asked us to flip and cut our own food. Things like chicken and seafood have very particular cook times so we kind of just let both cook more than we probably should've just because we didn't know. I don't think asking your clientele to cook their own food, particularly raw meat, is a good idea. They also never refilled our sauces. The other thing is that this location doesn't use thick iron grills like Rockville does, but some kind of cheap net grill that would constantly ignite pieces of meat and turn em into fireballs. By the end of it, we were just eating semi-burned meats to ensure we had cooked them long enough. Paying $70 to eat semi burned meat that I had to cook myself is not service. We're just used to the Rockville location where the staff is always on top of taking care of our table and checking in on the meat and refilling dipping sauces and water. Going to the Baltimore location was cool for the one time experience, but I doubt we'll come back again.

Um... huh. This place is loud. The food is actually pretty good, but it's louder than Honey Pig, and that's hard to do. You can eat a lot for a very good price, though, and our server was REALLY sweet. I would not take kids under the age of 10, honestly--in an attempt to look cool, Iron Age is a mishmash of blacklight, huge video screens projecting Korean music videos, and iron gears incorporated into the decor. It set my friend's young kid OFF. On a serious note, the cooking implement they use to cook the food in the middle of the table is kind of.. Janky? It flamed a bit and seemed a little dangerous if you got too close? I just.. If you don't want to talk to the person you're going with, or if you're into lots of flashing lights and music, try this place out, because the food is good! But.. dang, I'm too old for it. LOL

Good, but not as good as the one in Rockville. This location is missing pork belly which is a little odd. This being an all-you-can-eat, there's only one price of $23/person. Pretty decent deal considering you're eating almost entirely meat. The Iron Age steak is a particular good choice here, very tender and not too fatty. It's very busy during the evening on weekends so be prepared to wait. This location is relatively large, it has dim mood lighting, constant kpop music videos playing, and is pretty loud. All that to say it's fun and a definite recommend.

The wife and I tried dining at the Iron Age. The interior definitely did not give a Korean vibe. It was more of a trendy lounge feel. I hear the food is delicious and looking at the menu it looked very safe without the meats for more adventurous palates. Unfortunately the hostess said there wait would be over an hour long so we decided to head down the street. I'm not one to wait when I'm hungry. I'll update the review once we manage to sit down and dine.

The Hawaiian bulgogi is the best item on the menu. Lemon chicken is delicious. The steamed egg is so light and fluffy; it's fabulous. The sauces are well prepared and compliment the entrees perfectly.

First let me say i was extremely happy about my service at this establishment. The server took his time and explained everything on the menu. Also he constantly made sure we were good. The food was good and you cooked it yourself. The atmosphere was awesome also. Will be back again.

It was just ok the music was kind of loud and it was my family that went which it was 6 adult prices which 3 of those adult prices was for a 12 and 14 year old plus a 5 year old well it’s only one cooking grill at the table and everybody was hungry and it takes time for that meat to cook half of our time was spent waiting for meat to cook it was limited side dishes and after spending $204.12 which included a 32.12 gratuity I don’t feel it was worth it and I realize going to dinner is not me actually cooking my own food the waiter did come past a few times to cut the meat up but I won’t be returning now I I still don’t know what the hype is other maybe the videos being played and the decor is nice other then that I was disappointed if you go with more then 3 people you should ask for the table with two grills

I really like this place. The atmosphere is nice and modern. It’s easy to cook the food and you can cook the meat however you like. The meat always turns out great with that slightly burnt BBQ grill flavor. It was delicious!!! The meat marinade is really tasty. My favorite meat was the Spicy Pork Bulgogi, my least favorite was the Curry Pork Steak which I thought didn’t have a good curry flavor. Another nice aspect of this place is it’s ideal for large groups. They have tables with 2 or 3 burners. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone and can’t wait to return.

Quality All You Can Eat Over-tabel Barbeque! The quality of food for an all you can eat was really good! Our server Calber (?)was wonderful! Polite, helpful, and attentive. He also wasn't judgemental about how much we ate which was another plus to his service. It's also quite hygenic that the meat is not exposed and a server goes brings it from the kitchen instead of you picking it yourself!! That's a big plus. The ambience is just okay. WAY TOO MANY BIRTHDAYS that night, and the vibe is Korean hip hop (which I'm not a big fan of). Definitely worth some twenty bucks as everything's great about Iron Age!

You can’t beat the price! Alcohol is inexpensive too- beers on tap $3/$4. It’s an all you can eat place. They serve generous portions. I’ve been there about 10 times and never had a bad experience. I really enjoy the fun and energetic atmosphere. They have loud music and TVs with music videos playing. It’s great because we have 2 kids and it’s a noisy restaurant so I feel comfortable going there. Servers are very helpful in preparing the meat at your table.

The food here has always been great (mostly because I cook it myself) but the service just doesn't cut it. I don't think I want to ever go back. Two different servers now have been just plain unfriendly. I shouldn't pay $70 to have the server just stop talking to our table. The first time I was dined there the most hospitable and outgoing person there was the busser. Really and truly I'm disappointed in the service.

A huge restaurant with loud music!! Best Korean place!! I like how you have to cook the food yourself, it gives a very different experience from other restaurants. My favorite has to be the Hawaiian Bulgogi!!! One annoying thing, it felt like it was everyone’s birthday so they kept singing “Happy Birthday” every few minutes!! Not a big deal for some amazing food!!

The server was helpful and attentive. It was our first time there, so we were a little lost. We didn't get the rice cakes we wanted, but instead more meat. That was the only mess up. The meat was good, but the veggies we ordered were insanely salty. So much so that rice couldn't help it. We really needed the meat break and couldn't eat them.

I've been here several times and the food never disappoints me. They will often have a table set up for you with the veggies already there so you can dig in if you're hungry. The service is usually pretty attentive but sometimes you'll need to attend to cooking your food to ensure it doesn't get burned. Be sure to try the spicy rice cakes!

My family and I are in town, for my cousin's graduation, and we were looking forward to a nice family dinner. Our reservation was for 8pm. We showed up at 8:00. The Manager, proceeded to tell us that our reservation was at 7:45, and it was canceled. However, he called us around noon and 7:30pm to confirm our reservation was at 8. The Manager and staff were completely unorganized. Additionally, when we spoke with the hostess and the Manager, they were both extremely rude and unprofessional. Apparently customer service and professionalism are not a priority. I would highly not recommend this establishment for anyone. If their initial impression, and service was this bad, I can only imagine how bad the rest of the experience would have been.

I wish we would have discovered this place sooner. The food was great! You cook it yourself with help from your server. It's all you can eat and we definitely all left full. I highly recommend if you like Korean BBQ or want to go somewhere out of the ordinary. We will be going back, often. And the bar...and tea stand areas are amazing. I wasn't prepared for that aspect of Iron Age, but will be next time we go back.

Food quality and the environment are great. Lot of Birthday party here. Their ventilation is good, you will not smell as BBQ after. Meats are all good and tasty, just their service is not in par with what it should be or just the watier that device us was not good. No ordering system (paper and pen), keep forgetting item we orders and needs.

I just went to this location for the fourth time, and it was a disappointing enough experience I had to finally post a review. First off, I love Iron Age and have been to the Rockville location at least 15 times so far as well as the Centerville location a handful of times. Those would both be worth an hour+ wait and Rockville’s often does get busy enough in the evenings to have to wait. Yesterday we went on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 5. It was fairly empty but we were told to wait 10 to 15 minutes. Not a big deal at all, but finally once we were seated it took at least 3-4 minutes for our server to get to us. Once he did walk by he only asked if it was our first time and what meat we wanted. We wanted drinks to start but he said he would grab the meat and be back to take drink orders. Several of our party had to go to the bar because we were thirsty. From then on for every single sauce, drink, food, meat etc order we had to specifically request it from our server. It got to the point where we had to order two beers at a time because we knew he would take a long time to get back to us. At least four times I had to ask for a certain item to be brought over a 45 minute period one one time for a sauce refill he only refilled one person’s and ran off. As it turned out we were celebrating my birthday and when I went to the restroom my wife tried to arrange a birthday song celebration as normally happens here, apparently the server told her he would have to see my ID first. Kind of ruins the whole point of a birthday song surprise but whatever. Oh, at no point did he bother cutting or flipping our meat. I understand most people like to do it themselves a little bit but he did not even offer to which was a first for me. Chalk it up to a bad server period. In general the grills here are very slow cooking, they do not have pork belly option because of the grill style, nor brisket nor mashed potatoes. Funny enough when I first went to the grand opening I kept telling the server that our grill was not cooking properly and she said it looked fine. It was only until she came back to flip the meat that the grill was found to be stuck about an inch and a half higher than it should be, but even at the proper grill fitment it is still slow to cook. As an example, the Rockville grills take 2-3 minutes max for bulgogi or steak to cook. Here they take 7-10 minutes if not more. I will give it two stars for the interior design, location closer to Baltimore, and the food quality and sauces, but I really wish this place was better. I will keep going to the Rockville one instead.

All you can eat beef, chicken, shrimp and squid. You will have to cook it yourself though. The atmosphere is k-pop for sure, with big screens showing music videos (only) and speakers blaring the music. Service is par, you will basically be cooking the food (which is authentic) but your server will be out with your drinks, rice cakes, salad refills, rice... you get the point. They might flip the meats or turn up/down the heat but that is about it. A great experience all in all.

We went here last night it was a Friday at 9pm and we got sat in less than 15 mins. Customer service is incredible, they help you cook and they are very patient. The food was great.... good selection of meats and chicken. The Soju strawberry popsicle drink was awesome! I will be returning the prices are very reasonable for all you cant eat.

The server gave me and my girlfriend ridiculously large portions for my girlfriend and I. I’ve been to the Rockville location (which is where I usually go) and they serve us portions accordingly. I also left my debit card and called them and they said they would hold it for me. When I came back to eat and get my card they had turned us away even though it was only 10:30 and they didn’t close until 12. I was pretty understanding until I found out that they had lost my card they promised to hold on to. Terrible.

Overall this is one of my go to spots. Also, if you're having a bday this is the best place to go to for it. They do more than sing a sad version of happy birthday and clap.

The atmosphere is as you would expect, young, vibrant and filled with energy. Not the place for a relaxing dinner. The wait staff is prompt and the K-pop music is not over bearing. There was a cool draft from the vent which made things uncomfortable. The food was good, not great, the steak was tough, but the salad was nice. The seafood was definitely the stronger menu item. Overall, an enjoyable visit.

Great atmosphere for a large group of people. Very lively restaurant. Good quality is just average. I eat often at Korean restaurants and this would not be consider the top quality of meats. With that said, it is still very tasty and a good time for dinner here with friends. Servers are friendly but many of them can not handle the pressure of fast service so you just have to be patient. I’ve never had bad service here but just slow service. I’m a fan of the Iron Age steak and the veggies plater.

First time at Iron Age, first time eating at a restaurant like this where you cook your own food but I loved it. Was such a great experience the waiter was the best he helped us a lot he was really polite and patient, I wish I remembered his name.

I enjoy going to Iron Age. Can't beat the price for all you can eat KBBQ. The reason for the lost star is how inconsistent service is. Some days you get a really good waiter who anticipates your needs and never leaves you hungry and waiting for more. Other days you get someone who ignores your requests and is struggle bussing the most basic of things. The volume for birthdays is a little too high. I literally have to stop what I'm doing and cover my ears. I still highly recommend you check it out if you have never been.

This is one of our favorite korean bbq place in baltimore area. Food is good specially the iron age steak and bulgogi. They got veggies to grill too. The only problem is their hostess, very unorganize and need to have a pleasing personality. Very unwelcoming.

Iron age was an excellent experience for me. The food was great, the wait staff was attentive and friendly, and the time in between the meats cooking allowed me and my date to have some conversations instead of getting our food and focusing on eating. It was a good combination of eating a bunch of different meats while also being able to strike up a conversation and hold it for a good period of time. Will definitely be heading back with some more friends to enjoy food and company.

2nd time at the catonsville location with a large party both times with reservations. We have had no issues either time. Their policy is everyone must be there, if you drop below 8 you lose the reservation, 15 minutes late you lose the reservation as well. This time we hadn't planned on bringing a baby, but they didn't even bat an eye at the extra person. Our server was fantastic, he kept our drinks full, our sauces were never low, the side dishes kept coming and the meat was tasty as always. I like the music is a bit more quiet than the Rockville location.

We sat right next to a speaker so the music was VERY loud for my first visit. Other than that, the food was soo delicious, I wish I could have eaten more. You can order two meats at a time, and then keep up the pace as long as you aren't stuffed for the "All you can eat" part. The bulgogi and the chicken were very tasty. My son already said he wants to have his birthday here, so I know we will be coming back.

I wish I could give this place 6 stars. I never write reviews but this place deserves all the praise. the food was amazing, you could tell all the meats had been marinated extremely well and were super tender. Lastly the service was impeccable, our table was set up with sauces and salad before we even sat down, and our waiter Dong gave us some of the best service we have ever received. He was quick, super knowledgeable about the menu, and very inviting to talk to. If you are looking for great food, service, and amazing music/ atmosphere this is where you should go.

The food is pretty good, but the overall customer service could use some serious improvement. The servers we've had were very rigid (e g. we had to make a stern request to get a refill on our bowl of salad for a table of six in an all you can eat restaurant amongst other things). Again, good food, not the best Customer experience.

There is loud music playing and it gave me a headache & you can’t hear the waiter also they should explain the process of dinning here on the menu as well as the website it would cause less confusion. I love, love, love the food here, and it's a killer deal for the price, provided you take full advantage of the "all you can eat" aspect. The one sticking point for me whenever I visit is the noise, and on some visits, the wait staff. It's always just too loud in my opinion, and there's only so many times one can hear the birthday song blasted over the loudspeaker before you wish the tune had never been invented. My experiences with the wait staff have been mixed—never bad, just not always very attentive. All in all though, the food makes it all more than worth it, which is why I keep going back.

I am going to break this review into three parts. Food - 4 out of 5 Stars Service - 3 out of 5 Stars Atmosphere - 2 out of 5 Stars I didn't realize that I would be paying to cook my own dinner. Basically, the waiter threw shrimp and steaks on the grill, and left, leaving my friends and I to remove them before they overcooked. I guess this is how it's done at a Korean BBQ joint, but it seems weird to go to a restaurant and be responsible for cooking. The bulgogi and Iron Age steak were very good and the soy chicken had nice flavor, but the shrimp had no seasoning, was very bland, and I wouldn't have minded having the heads removed before they were cooked. The restaurant wasn't that busy, but despite asking for clean plates and more rice, we never received either and had to eat our later courses out of our empty rice bowls as the waiter had cleared our plates. If you're looking for a place to go with friends and have a nice conversation over dinner, this is not the place. The volume of the K-Pop that blasts from the speakers is set at Hearing-Loss levels. I actually had to tell the waiter that I couldn't hear a word he was saying. He talked louder, but that didn't make it a more pleasant experience trying to talk and catch up with friends.

Went in for the first time yesterday with my family, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about the meal since! Our waiter Christian was EXCELLENT. Super attentive, friendly, and helping with a smile the whole time. He made sure everything was under control. This is definitely an experience with a fantastic meal as well. You can't beat the price for the quality & quantity of food supplied. We will definitely be back more often! The beef + pork Bulgogi are a must try!

Great food and for the most part I really love the K-Pop night club-esque vibe. I love the music and the vibe but the loud birthday song is really a bit too much. We went on a Saturday and it felt like their were constant birthdays and that was making it harder for our waiter to hear us. If it was the same volume as the other music it would be a lot less jarring. I wasn't sure what to expect for the price but the meat was all really tasty, and good cuts of meat. I didn't feel like we were being rushed or that they wanted us to not each much. I love the flavor profile of the seasonings, too. Their Iron Age Soy Steak was really good. Perfect marinade and good cut of meat. We got a fruity soju mixed drink, and it was delicious and wasn't watered down. I definitely plan to return, just maybe not on a weekend.

At 1st I thought because I make the food myself there was a high risk of it coming out badly. However, the food at this place is SMACKIN! Each time I've gone it was consistently good. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful for the most part. I really appreciate that I never felt rushed to get out the door. I go to Iron Age nearly every time I go visit my MD buddies and I don't see my experience changing any time soon!

Very good. Was loud and energetic environment. Wait wasn't long and the food was pretty good. Got the unlimited food option and had bugogi which was pretty good. Not the best seasoned I've had but tasty enough. The tea didnt have much flavor but it was hot and nice to have. The spicy rice cakes were really good and we had a lot of them. Good place for birthdays too since my sister had her birthday and they put a song on the stereos for her as they sand and gave her some cake.

Pro: Closer to the Baltimore Area Con: No brisket like the Rockville Location, the wire mesh is terrible compared to the solid ones that Rockville has, If they are empty you can expect a half hour wait time. If they hit half full expect at least an hour to get seated.

First time patron! Great experience, and because I love charcoal grilled flavor it was pleasant to cook the meat on the open heat. I've recommended this place to multiple friends who've enjoyed it as well. Will absolutely go again since I live up the street☺. Next time I will try some of the other cuts of meat. I had mostly beef and pork when I went.
