I have frequent Honey Pig often when I am in the Gaithersburg area. I love their LA ribs! I usually have excellent quick service. Only once did I have an issue that I believe was a comedy of errors. I believe one waitress thought the other waitress brought my meal when in fact no one it. I just had my vegetables delivered. When they realized the error, they quickly rectified the problem. I highly recommend this place. I wish there was one closer to me in Baltimore.

Amazing restaurant, the food was amazing and staff is so kind and helpful. I can here with 3 people and we ordered the premium combo with steamed duplings and it was amazing. This resteraunt is actually better than 90% of the Korean bbq resteraunts I have been to in Seoul.

I want to love this place, but I can't, because the service is consistently terrible. The food IS good, but the experience is mostly ruined by the poor service. My boyfriend needed chopsticks and a plate to eat his meal. He requested them but never got them. I ended up getting up and grabbing chopsticks from a cart for him, and someone else gave him their plate. One of our friends waited over an hour for a bubble tea - in the meantime another friend managed to drink 3 bottles of soju.. so if you want a drink refill I guess you need to order $40 worth of alcohol. When our friend pointed out that he was still waiting for his bubble tea after an hour, the waiter was just like "oh" and it eventually arrived another 15-20 minutes later. I couldn't get my water refilled by the waiter after requesting it, though I think a woman who was probably the manager or owner refilled it finally as we were getting ready to leave. This is the second year in a row we came here with a group of about 10 people and got abysmal service. Judging from other reviews it doesn't matter who you are, how many of you are or how busy they are. The people working there just do not care at all. Last year when we went, they only brought a bowl of rice for one person (out of ten people)! We ended up buying an extra entree because we were still hungry. There is another Honey Pig in Ellicott City that I haven't been to yet - hopefully the service there is way better. I'm also looking into the place called Iron Age in Rockville that others have recommended. I've also been to KangNam BBQ in College Park and thought the service and food were pretty great, so that's another alternative if the drive isn't too far for you.

The best place to experience Korean BBQ without putting hole on your pocket. Reasonably priced. Despite the info on google this place is OPEN on Saturday from 10am till 2am. Honey pig also serves bubble tea. Try spicy bulgogi and spicy pork, they are divine. They serve tons Bonchon (side dishes) before you start.

Wonderful! All of the sides were delicious. I would buy the salad dressing bottled. We ordered the beef brisket and the spicy pork belly. Both were great, but the brisket was awesome with or without the delicious sauce it came with. The service was friendly, too. Best to order n - 1 meats (number of people minus 1); there is plenty of food.

OK, so I didn't really understand the hype about this restaurant. Service was pretty good but the food was just OK. We got the all you can eat special. We started at the buffets. While the beef ribs and chicken wings tasted very good, they were quite cold. The vegetable tempura was also cold and very rubbery. As far as the meats cooked at the table goes, we tried most of them. The brisket was mostly fat. The spicy pork belly was very good as was the squid. The spicy chicken was good but took forever to cook and was dried out. The spicy bulgogi was ok but the regular bulgogi was by far the best thing we had. A concern that we had was that they used the same shears to cut the raw chicken into strips as with the pork belly and squid. Lastly, one of my biggest pet peeves, they didn't have fountain drinks or fresh ice tea. Cans of soda for $2 each or a bottle of tea for $3.

I lived in Korea for a year and this is as close as I've come to that experience in Maryland. The food is great (both the BBQ and set dishes). I personally love the environment because who doesn't like being able to roll in at any time of the day or night and get a healthy dose of K-pop and bulgogi?!

I came here with an empty stomach and it was truly shocking how fast service was. I think we were seated for maybe thirty seconds before an array of rice and sides were spread out before us. The waiters were so prompt with taking our order and cooking the meat for us. The bulgogi and pork belly were absolutely stellar, but the sides were actually the star of the show for me. I kept asking for more! You definitely get your money’s worth here.

The food here is spectacular. I enjoy the different options we have. I do have to say if you go here definitely bring more than three people. Unless you are able to eat a lot. Food was great! Love the Kimchi. Bus boys have absolutely no shame to cat call a woman while they are AT WORK. My friend and I were eating very late (10pm) and bus boys kept staring at us. As we are leaving, one the bus boys goes "Bye Mami" to me. Worst part: I came back a few days ago, only to have the SAME bus boy walk past me and say "Hola baby." in front of my boyfriend! So be warned ladies, the bus boys are pigs.

Worst customer service experience! It's very pricey and serve the food very slow. They said eat all you can but when I ask for more, the server said that we need to finish everything first before they give us more. they will not give you food until you finish the LAST piece of the meat that you first ordered and when they let you order again you will need to wait again for your food to be cook and restart eating again.

I took my mom and family for dinner here. We ordered different kinds of meats to tryout. The marinated pork and octopus didn’t taste like anything, no flavor whatsoever and the kalbi was way too sweet and again tastless. Only thing edible was just plain pork belly which they gave only 3 strips for $20! We also had large intestines but I’m not a fan so I won’t comment on it. As for some other non meat dishes, they were not impressive either, but I wouldn’t go into details given this is a bbq joint. The service wasn’t too bad for me but the overall food quality was a disappointment. It is unfortunate that they brought Korean bbq down to this level.

I’m not impressed by the revamping of HoneyPig ( now called HoneyOne). Our waiter was very sweet, but he was clearly overwhelmed. I had to keep reminding him to bring me my drink (I gave up on getting a straw for my water). The buffet is poorly maintained, the cold foods did not smell fresh and the hot foods were lukewarm. It also took a while for everything to get replenished— mind you it is a Sunday afternoon.. one of the busier days for any restaurant. The servings were great... for large parties. My date decided not to eat and I was left with a ton of meat to eat on my own. I wish that was taken into account when I ordered, I felt bad that I wasted so much food. The new HoneyOne does not allow you to take leftovers home (even the ones you already started eating) and there’s a $10 charge if you don’t finish your food (which is posted EVERYWHERE in the restaurant). I miss the old HoneyPig

Last night I went to Honey Pig in Germantown after purchasing an amazon deals coupon. It was a decent deal, you pay $15 and you get $30 worth of food. My coupon was denied by the manager, she said because her computer was down, she wouldn't be able to accept the coupon. When i asked her if she was aware of this coupon, she said," I posted the coupon online". I asked her if she can take the coupon number down, or honor the coupon without using the computer. She said, "computer shut down". I was really disappointed because i heard great things about this place. I am not sure I have experience this problem with any other business who offer coupons. Just be careful when you buy coupons online from amazon deals for honey pig. You might not be able to use it.

Good Korean BBQ. We come here often when we are craving meat late in the evening. There are not a lot of places open late around us but Honey Pig is an exception and you won't leave hungry. Parents, be warned, there are TVs everywhere playing K-Pop music videos. Our one year old doesn't care about TV but my nephiew wouldn't eat food because he was to distracted looking at the screens.

One was playing with his phone, and another one used the computer. After 30 minutes, a group of Korean? came, and they were served right away. We left for the sushi restaurant nearby.

This used to be my favorite, we visited a few days ago and was so disappointed. Food tastes different, didn't have their normal dipping sauces available, ordered spicy pork and was given a completely different cut of meat in a dark brown sauce instead of red... asked the server and he realized it was different but would not correct it. Seems like they just wanted everyone to get the buffet and nothing else. I truly hope this is only happening at this location.

But you should expect a 5 star experience in the form of an efficient and extremely fulfilling operation that delivers the goods with authentic Korean BBQ. If the service isnt what you expect, at the very least they will ensure that your meat is properly grilled which in my eyes is more than enough. Awesome spot. Dumplings are great too.

Ultimate BBQ place with unlimited supply of side dishes if you like. Round metal table with gas fueled metal plate for barbecue of your ordered meats and seafood. Portion is fairly big. Each table is served for barbecue..so you can focus on eating and drinking and socializing. Each table is under fume hood although you would still feel your entire body is smoked when you're done. Don't forget to use febreze on the way out to destroy the evidence of where you were.

Rude and arrogant. My daughters went with friends for dinner. In the middle of meal, they were told to pay and leave. They asked and were told they were too loud. No warning or negotiation just get out. Give me a break, it is a loud drinking place for young people. My take is they were eating too slowly without ordering any drinks, under 21. I called the manager the next day asking for an explanation. Basically, I got "whatever".

Their customer service is A+++! As soon as we came in, the servers immediately took our order and gave us the side dishes for the Korean BBQ. They even gave us a dish on the house. Went today with 3 coworkers for lunch. The buffet was cold (even the hot side). The advertised proce for the buffet doesnt incljde Korean BBQ cooked at your table (bait and switch) but the price difference was $6. Food was good especially when it was sulposed to be hot and was. Saw some complaints here about the briaket being fatty. Thata sort of the point of brisket for Korean BBQ. Its not the same grade of brisket you use for smoking. You could do a lot worse for a $15 lunch!

The food was good. But the service was dismal. Too busy is understandable. But we had five servers, and only one could give two sheets. None of the servers were rude or angry - but it was clear that no one cared. Missing place settings. Serious delay in taking our order (asking others to do it again and again right in front of us). Bringing the wrong food. Taking away that wrong food after cooking it in front of us. Burning our food. Having to ask four times for salad, drinks, etc. Serving cracked beer glasses. If you don't give a sheet in the dining hall, you definitely don't give a sheet in the kitchen. The Honey Pig franchise has been successful, but they seem to have forgotten why. I've worked in restaurants, and that degree of indifference means zero quality control. I've been to this location about half a dozen times. Go to another Honey Pig location, or somewhere better.

If you are a meat person, this is the place to go. The meat is super amazing and delicious. I would recommend it to everyone especially if you like Korean food or Asian food. The service was great, fast, and friendly. The only downside is that it is expensive so go there on special occasions.

Honestly it was awful. Boiled meat basically that was so overcooked you couldn't eat it. You cant leave meat on a cast iron plate and expect a good result. Nor can you crowd meat on a lukewarm plate and expect anything less than steamed meat.. pretty gross The buffet items were COLD and not being held at the proper temperature. Danger. This place has slipped down a pretty steep hill over the years. The octopus was SPOILED... disgusting. I pray I don't get sick after one bite. Meat items were unseasoned and basically lousy quality. Never again. Avoid at all costs. It's not worth it...

Absolutely horrible !!!! I live in the metro Atlanta area and we have a Honey Pig so I decided to give it a try. 1. Food. I ordered marinated pork ribs. Instead, they brought out pork chops with a piece of pork rib bone, as if people would really think that it was rib meat because of the bone ???? And the meat had too much sugar and that was all I tasted. I also had a soup with cow blood chunks as main ingredient. However, it only had two small pieces of it and they were extremely dry. And the soup should have good portion of cabbage in it but it barely did. Stock was very blend and had no taste to it. The side dishes were blend as well and not fresh at all. 2. Service. NON-EXISTENCE !!! The server never came so I had to place an order with another server. They are supposed to cook the food on the table. However, my server did not come back to my table so my meat and veggie were burned. He never came back to ask me if I needed anything else, or water. I once again had to ask another server for more water and additional side dishes. And I asked another server for a check. 3. Conclusion. This is the only restaurant that I have visited in the DC metro. But I can say this for sure. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS RESTAURANT. BY FAR, THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST KOREAN RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN TO !!!

Oh it's authentic and delicious. They know how to grill that piece of marinated meat and pair with beer and soju bomb and spicy tofu soup. Get the Kobe or beef with bones. I leave there too stuffed all the time.

I dont like the new format of this restaurant. You're forced to have a buffet and they have weird rules about not being able to take leftovers home. Plus the overall quality of the food seems to have gone down. It was much more enjoyable before when it was called Honey Pig.

Use to be better. I don't care for the all you eat. Missing items they use to give you. Also never a fan of buffet style. Cheapens the ambience and experience to that of a Chinese buffet restaurant for me. Won't go back to this location.

Terrible service. Even not worth a star. They had group customers and did not even give attentions to other customers who came visit earlier than them. They kept saying 'wait' without giving any waiting number or so. We waited quite a bit and some people who seem to be friends of the server came. The server recognized them, cut the line and gave them seats right away. After some time, we were assigned to a table right next to them. The server did not even pay attention to us, did not replace the burned grill plate (when we asked, they said that this is normal) and ended up with poor service. What a shame. Honey pig was not like this before. Being popular eventually made the restaurant owner and servers arrogant. 2 of 4 suffered from stomachache and the rest had some signs of the same.

We were just strolling around when we saw the place and considered trying it as we had been having Korean food most of the time. The place is spacious and the seating look authentic. Their food is tasty & yummy, truly Korean & the staffs are friendly, polite & accommodating. There’s a bit of wait for the food, but worth the wait. This place is perfect for groups.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. THEY PLAYED NCT 127 AND RED VELVET AND I LOVED IT. THE BUFFET IS AMAZING AND I WENT HERE WHEN I WAS SIX YEARS OLD AND NOW I AM THIRTEEN. Just like any other one star reviews, their service is pretty bad. Expect to wait and wait and wait...endlessly for attention. Just sit and watch the tvs because you won't be ordering or leaving any time soon.

This place is definitely not for vegetarians. This place is awesome for people who are doing the protein diet. Awesome place just wasn't crazy about the meats. Overall it was still worth going and I enjoyed it. It was well blended with different types of meat. Loved the spicy chicken.

The food were good, there are more items and ayce options to choose from compared to Rockville location, my favorites are beef rib and peeled shrimp. One thing I hate about is the service. The server stopped serving us after 1 hour dine in, I have to cut the meat myself eventhough it wasn't busy.

Went for lunch and ordered an old favorite, dol sot bibimbap for $12.99. It was very good. They also had an all-you-can-eat buffet that looked great, and included table-served Korean BBQ cooked on the table in front of you.

Meats I'd go back for: bulgogi, LA Rib, Pork Kalbi, Thin Sliced Pork Belly Would not go for: HoneyOne Steak, beef brisket The hot food bar has some decent Korean sides like pajeon. The cold bar food was good. Lots of potato salad and pickles radish.

Honestly it was awful. Boiled meat basically that was so overcooked you couldn't eat it. You cant leave meat on a cast iron plate and expect a good result. Nor can you crowd meat on a lukewarm plate and expect anything less than steamed meat.. pretty gross The buffet items were COLD and not being held at the proper temperature. Danger. This place has slipped down a pretty steep hill over the years. The octopus was SPOILED... disgusting. I pray I don't get sick after one bite. Meat items were unseasoned and basically lousy quality. Never again. Avoid at all costs. It's not worth it...

I'm not sure it's possible to go to Honey Pig without having an absolute blast. From the food, the K-pop on the TVs, and the massively attentive staff, i've never walked away with a complaint. The last visit, the owner actually served us, and she was hilarious and was making sure we were eating. It's a great experience.

Anyone who has eaten here previously will be severely disappointed. The meat quality is substandard. Formerly I would come here regularly for the spicy pork belly and it was my favorite meal, now the meat was tough more closely resembled pork chops, and the sauce was EXTREMELY bland. Formerly I would have ranked this restaurant a high 4.5-4.8/5 now, after the rebranding. I'm not sure I'll be returning. For the same price go wait in line at Iron Age in Rockville and thank me later.
