Great breakfast joint for a good meal early in the morning. They're Maryland crabcake eggs Benedict and omelette choices are delicious. I also had plain pancakes with blueberry syrup and it was so good I ended up going twice in one weekend. All the servers are super friendly and enthusiastic considering how busy the place gets. Our server Daniel treated us really well and gave great suggestions. This place is a definite must visit when in Ocean City!

The food was great, but the service can be night or day depending on which server you get. I didn't even get offered a refill for my water, and our server was very emotionless and just unpleasant. However, the waitress serving the table next to us was incredibly full of personality, so our experience probably would've been much better with her. All that said, it's still a great place to get some delicious breakfast.

It is what it says on the label - a pancake house. I really enjoyed my eggs, pancakes, & scrapple. Eggs came out as ordered; scrapple was crispy on the outside, soft in the middle; pancakes wete fluffy, My wife complained that her omlet had too much bacon in it. I didn't know that was possible, but apparently it wasn't in proportion to the other ingredients. The staff was friendly, and I thought the prices were reasonable, given the location in a beach vacation town. I had to take off something because of the omlet issue, but a full star feels like a lot. I wish I could rate it 4.5.

My husband and I recently vacationed in Ocean City together for the first time. Happy jacks was a short walk from our hotel so we tried it out for the first day. We were exhausted from driving all night but want to be up early and enjoy our day. Our server Brittney greeted us so warmly and energetically we forgot how tired we were! The coffee was hot and rich and delicious. And the kitchen had our breakfast ready in minutes (less than five!!)!! Not only was the food fast but it was the best breakfast food I’ve had in a long long time. Get the Maryland Benedict or the sweet potato pancakes. OMG this restaurant was so amazing and so perfectly accommodating, my husband and I came back every single day we were in Ocean City. Do yourself a favor and go to Happy Jacks if you’re traveling and want some amazing, fresh, delicious food.

Happy Jack's is good food. Decent people and decent prices. The wait can be long depending on when you go... the kids liked that they could hang their pics they drew up before we left. They had Turkey sausage as an alternative meat, which was great since a lot of places don't have pork alternatives.

The food was pretty good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the hostess had no clue how to do the job. We were given the pager and when it went off we approached the hostess stand, the hostess took the pager then disappeared. If the counter didn't have any seats open they certainly would've lost my money.

Truly, the best breakfast in OC! Our server, Rachel was on top of everything. Prices are pretty competitive. The biscuits are out of this world. They do a good job at getting you in and out. This has turned into my favorite breakfast place and plan on returning every year.

Visited once, on vacation. Quite a bustling restaurant. Waitress was super cordial and enthusiastic. Order came out in about 15-20 minutes and the pancakes covered in strawberries and blueberries was delicious. Only downside was the hour wait, especially on a hungry stomach, but waiting is a part of life.

Really great breakfast place just off the boardwalk in Ocean City. The menu is very complete - just about anything breakfast you can think of. Had a fiery chorizo omelette that also came with a side of pancakes, which were very fluffy and tasty. You certainly get your money's worth as the portions were large and just about any dish you order comes with a side of pancakes (or something else like toast or biscuits if you prefer). The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had about a 10 min. wait on an off-season Sunday, so I'd be prepared for much longer wait times during the regular season, but there's lots of seating out front and they give you pagers to let you know when it's time. Highly recommend!

Stopped by here for breakfast while in Ocean City. There was a wait, but they got us in quickly. Couple of issues during visit. The first one is it took so long to bring our food out. Tables that sat down way after us already had their food and were about to leave. The other issue was one of the cups served to us was dirty, something greasy on it. Some positive things were the food was good and the coffee was excellent. With all of the choices in Ocean City, probably will not be going back here.

GLUTEN FREE PANCAKES ARE AMAZING!!!! Nitro coffee literally put me in a coffee coma!! FYI... I got gluten free pancakes with the fruit and nuts on the side bc sometimes batter won’t cook around them. The waitress was super friendly. Honestly can’t wait to come back to enjoy breakfast again here! 5-Stars. (Btw my kids and husband loved their pancakes too!)

Excellent menu with EXTENSIVE GLUTEN free options. My wife can't have gluten and not only was she blown away by the options, it was VERY good... You'd never know it was gluten free. Fast service, great wait staff (Daniel kicked butt), bright dining room. GREAT food. You won't want lunch if you have breakfast there... We will be back!

Amazing food and the staff truly loves their job. They looked like they were having a ball with each other and the customers. Highly recommend the sweet potato pancakes with butter pecan syrup. Outside waiting area could benefit from some shade (umbrellas).

Had a wonderful breakfast on Sunday morning! Very short wait time although the restaurant was very busy due to H20i, our waiter (Daniel) was very happy to help us, and very enthusiastic about the event that so many others were bashing. The food matched the service, the pumpkin pancakes were to die for, and it only took about 5 minutes to be served. Happy Jacks now holds a special place in my heart, and I plan on getting breakfast there every year I attend the event!

Happy Jack's pancakes! Pancakes and waffles I would say yes I was happy but the eggs benedict not so happy. The eggs were not coach they were fried and they were dry so what's the crab cake that went with it and the Hollandaise sauce was lacking in flavor. The staff was very courteous and the facility was clean. I would go back again I just wouldn't order the eggs benedict

First time, went early (8ish) seated immediately. Family got a bunch of stuff to try, regular pancakes, cinnamon pancakes, French toast, sausage b-fast burrito, sides of bacon and sausage, etc. The queso on the burrito was terrible. I'm glad it was on the side and not smothered. Nothing like any queso I've ever tried, very thick, flavorless and barely warm. Sausage buritto had unmelted shredded cheese inside, some bites luke warm, some adequately hot. Not bad, not great. Wouldn't order again. Most dissappointing, both pancakes we tried were just okay, nothing special about them being from a pancake place. Good enough for the kids and our waitress was excellent. French toast bland not a lot of flavor. If the service hadn't been so good I wouldn't have even given the 3 stars. Sorry to say but I find this place severely over rated.

There is a HUGE selection of Gluten free items!! That in itself is such a huge relief, but the service is OUTSTANDING. Nikki was so kind, knowledgeable, and so patient as I asked questions. Usually I am an anxious mess who apologizes for any question, but today was a breeze! And to make it even sweeter- they have biodegradable straws made from corn!!! They dont leave an aftertaste, and they are amazing for the environment! I'm on happy customer.

Friendly service but wasn’t impressed with the food. We got omelettes and they were not good. Runny on the inside and all the fillings are just chopped up and put in the middle of the omelette rather than mixed into it. Our kids had pancakes and those were tasty, but nothing special. They were kind of thin and not fluffy like you’d expect from a pancake house. They did taste good though. Probably wouldn’t go back to this place on our next trip to OC.

Walking in I was cheerfully greeted by 2-3 staff members and immediately escorted to a booth. The overall ambiance was homey, welcoming, the type of place that remembers and addresses you by name. My waitress was BRENDA, SHE IS AN ASSET TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. professional, personable, apparent she loves her job and cherished the dynamics created with each patron. The food was typical diner style and flavor but a good/solid choice. Maybe 8 mins lapsed between ordering and food hitting the table. The meal was correct given my nuisance ordering :D; despite the expeditious service the food was hot and delicious. Ample parking, indoor and outdoor seating. 5/5 for employees, 4/5 food & atmosphere. Definitely a Must visit!

If you could do half’s I would do 3 1/2. But I have to drop to a 3. The service was just terrible. It took us a really long time to get our food and when it came out, my drink had slime on it! I got the “very berry” pancakes and it was good at first, but towards the middle of the pancake it started to taste a little strange. The eggs were good, but personally I am rating Happy Jacks on there pancakes and service. So I really can’t recommend it. If you want a really good breakfast, just go to Layton’s.

The food was delicious,the service was amazing, especially the waitress Skylar, she is a beautiful young lady who does an excellent job, quick, very sweet,kind and very nice young lady, will definitely go back tomorrow for breakfast and will request her to be our server, thanks Skylar for a wonderful experience at this restaurant

Great service, fast kitchen. It's kinda expensive for what you get but overall it was worth it. I think they would do better if they didn't charge .99c to add tomatoes to a 12$ omelette but I guess they are in it to make$ not really care about customers that won't be here next week

Horrible place to eat. They were racist. Took to long to seat us and kept wiping off the same table for us. When asked why we couldn't be seated with all the empty tables was told they were waiting for silverware. They cannot handle a crowd was still serving breakfast at 12 because they were too busy to start lunch told by one of the waitresses. When my boo said something too one of the waiters he got loud with him and pushed my boo and all hell broke loose. They are very unprofessional and do not know how to run a business. They are small and there was no line outside and they couldn't start lunch. Do not give them business. Customers are aloud to say what they want. Customers come first.

Nice little place for breakfast.. visited in Jan during off season so it was easy to get a table right away.. am sure this is very busy in the summer. Pancakes were delicious.. had a veggie omlette which was also good.. kinda like what you would make at home.. light and thin.. not heavy and greasy like u sometimes get at the big chains. Service was very quick.

If you like pancakes, you need to eat here. There are numerous options for pancakes, topping, sides, and are encouraged to mix and match. You absolutely get your money's worth on both quality and quantity. They have gluten free pancake options, and they are great pancakes and absolutely taste like the genuine thing. Staff was very friendly, and while there was a short wait for a table, it was worth it.

Vacationing in O.C. and found this place online ; decided to try it based on reviews and I was not dissapointed. Friendly service and great food are the hallmarks of this place. French toast was amazing , the pumpking pancakes was awesome!!! The coffee is so good ; not cheap or watered down .I had an Omelet with chorizo and jalapenos it was Crazy good . Try this place ; you won't regret it.
