This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Korean restaurant.
Gah Rham has solid Korean offerings. We go here every new year's day for their dduk mandu guk (rice cake and dumpling soup). Other times, they have a decent buffet for lunch and good Korean BBQ. The mom and pop here remind me very much of my parents, so I treat them with respect. The younger wait staff here could learn a thing or two from them. The service is sometimes hit or miss, but the food is consistently good. Parking during busy times can be challenging as well.
Great food--variety, plentiful, great staff.
I liked it. Simple. Very affordable buffet. Quick. The waitress/hostess lady was a lot of fun too.
Best ever Korean restaurant very delicious I love it From Los Angeles
Just had the galbi And it was the bomb! My kids finished everything.
Happened to be in the area and went in right after the buffet was closed. Ordered 4 dishes out of menu, all were nice and authentic. The banchan(little front dishes) were also fresh and homey. The owners were so lovely in Korean way. This is a keeper on my list when I'm back in that area again. Felt the prices were set a bit highly though.
This place has the best food and service I have had in a long time. I'm from NY and God this was great. Justin made us a feast and I'm so full anytime I'm in MD this is my spot. You should go here now.
I'm a regular here, and I keep coming back. The food is amazing. The Lee family will take good care of you.
Tasty authentic bibimbap. Service could be better. Staff needs proper hospitality training. Maybe next time.
The food here is great we love it.
Fair price and friendly atmosphere. Fine dining. Korean mother making food is awesome.
Solid Korean food that hit the spot - we had leftovers because the portions were fairly large. The shopowners were kind and let us stay a little longer after closing since we came a little late due to a flight.
After we came to the closed door of Da Rae Won being hungry we didn't have a choice but try Gah Rham lunch buffet. And I have to tell you that it was one of the worst buffet experiences we've ever had. The place is under run and dirty, the food was hardly warm, totally tasteless and not worth the price tad, and the service except of the presenting the check in a middle of the meal giving us a hint that we ate enough in their opinion and it's time to get out, was not existing. One time experience was enough for us.
The lunch buffet is fantastic! Usually a lot of Koreans but the staff is awesome even for those eating Korean food for the first time.

Very friendly service. Had really good Korean food. Menu was hard to go through, was difficult to choose what to eat. Was disappointed that the buffet was not available when we got there.
Excellent love the buffet and they have a great selection of sushi all for one low price. It was $14.05 n some change after the drink and tax
Staff is not friendly: no hi, no bye, no thank you and no smiles...Food isn't bad, but the choice is limited. Two stars.
Nice food
Love this place!!
A Korean restaurant that provides authentic Korean food, I was told by my Korean companions, with the ingredients coming from Korea. They also have an all-you-can-eat sushi lunch for a fairly low price. My wife and I loved this restsurant!
Great sushi, but there are days it is acceptable still worth the price. At dinner it is a bit overpriced even though I enjoyed. I rather not go again for dinner
Lunch & dinner buffets are both excellent!
All of the food is delicious. The sushi is very fresh and flavorful.
I'm traveling from South Korea. And I guarantee you this might be the most authentic Korean food--dishes korean people eat every day-- you could find in America.
Very simple and basic restaurant for lunch. They have a tasty buffet of Korean dishes. They also have sushi, not upscale but simple and good. A bean sprout salad was tasty and lively with the sweet tang of vinegar and smooth edge of sesame oil. The beef was good, Kimchi not too spicy and fried rice with seasonal cut up polian squash along with traditional onion and carrot, corn. I really enjoyed the bean sprout salad. Marianeted mushrooms and fresh orange slices to finish.
Best korean any where
I tend to avoid buffet restaurants anymore, but Gah Rham is an exception. The food is always fresh and tasty, and represents a good cross-section of Korean food. There's beef and spicy pork BBQ, a couple types of kimchi, rice, veggies, mandoo, and a range of other dishes. The small staff are friendly and helpful, and the lady working sushi does a bang-up job. The nigiri pieces are on the small side, but the fish and rice proportions are good. The rolls are well-formed.
Bad food and bad service
They have very good Mandu soup here
I think this is one of the best Korean restaurant around this area.
I have been stopping by here for years for lunch. This is probably the best Sushi/ Korean lunch buffet in the area. For $13 you get unlimited Bulgogi, tempura, salad, Nigiri and sushi rolls. The place is located right behind the 7 Eleven on Route 1 by the MVA. Food has always been consistent and the sushi is always fully stocked when I arrive. I do like how they have some vegetarian options as well and the place is always clean. They just implemented a new portion control system by asking diners to use a small plate when getting sushi from the bar. The poor old sushi lady couldn't keep up. Best tip here is to arrive right around 11:30 if you plan on dining here just so you don't get the scraps from the government employees that rush in soon after.
This small Korean Buffet was very clean with a friendly staff. Although the buffet had a limited selection, every bit of it tasted great. I know nothing about Korean food, so the only items I recognized were at the well stocked sushi bar. I will absolutely be back.
Food is good, but overpriced. You get my one star for the flavor. That said, you can get equally delicious dishes from other Korean bbq's for a better price, and maybe less salt in the food. Service is absolutely horrible. It takes forever to get seen by receptionist when you are standing at the entrance, and another forever to get them realize that there are customers waiting to be seated. It is difficult to communicate with the staff, even by pointing straight to the menu item. They just don't understand how a restaurant works.... And, I'm not trying to be rude, but you could prepare yourself with some communication skills if you don't speak Korean, because they don't understand English that well.

Korean BBQ is a little too expensive otherwise it is fine. Some waiters do not understand english...
I went there during lunch buffet. i found a hair inside pickled ginger. i saw flies were flying around the food and i told the owner. He just looked at it and do nothing about it until I leave the restaurant. I guess that is why thet are cheap.
THE KIMCHI!
The food tasted awesome. Staff was attentive. Supper prices were normal for a Korea food restaurant.
The food is good but the employee are very Rude they watch you eating and you have to eat all you food cannot be waste otherwise they will charge you extra not good to eat buffet they don't make you feel welcome like what I said Rude customer service!! I know we never coming back ever..
친절하고 다양한 음식....저렴한가격
Great sushi and Korean food buffet.
Great food and service!!! Super friendly staff and food that tastes like it was prepared for their close friends or family something a few other places I've been to, have been lacking
it's so disgusting that we found a fly in the BBQ! And they didn't give us any solution! Just like nothing happened! Disgusting!

Been going here for years. Absolutely fantastic
Good food but very rude to customers. Whatever you do, make sure you eat the rice on the sushi. Or the waitress will get angry and tell you "this is not a sashimi buffet". Then the owner will come over and lecture you in Korean on eating the rice. My wife noticed that they have a double standard for Korean customers, who are treated with great service and no complaints about rice left on the plate.
This place is delicious! They use high quality ingredients and you can tell they care about thier customers. I highly recommend the octopus dish but honestly any dish here is delicious. The service is outstanding, this is a very lovely mom and pop kinda restaurant.
Sushi was good, buffet was OK.
They didn't have any of the food that they advertise during the weekend buffet, i.e. sushi or any main dishes that have protein. They had orange slices and miso soup, some salad, fried dumplings, and that was about it. The buffet is supposed to run from 12-2, and we got there at 12:40. They continued to bus tables and seat people who were expecting the sushi buffet but never made more than one small plate of it to refill the entire empty buffet line. I heard one lady say she would wait as she sat there with her miso soup, and another lady ask for a regular menu, saying, "I don't need to have sushi but I do need to see a menu." No one apologized or explained or brought out more food.
(Translated by Google) It is so delicious and the boss is very kind. Please have a lot of food. ㅋ ㅋ ㅋ Thank you so much. (Original) 너무 맛잇고 사장님 짱친절 더먹으라구 음식도 많이챙겨주시고ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 너무 감사했습니다 진짜 미국여행중 생각나는 맛이라는 소문이 맞는듯
I always come buying some food in this spot. I loved the efficient service and well prepared dishes. Keep up the good work.
Great food and service. The employees were nice and even joked with my party. Fun atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
Great all you can eat sushi bar for lunch!
Loved the experience, felt like you were in the home of the owners, Husband and Wife duo. Adored the interaction between the two of them. Food is plentiful and delicious and great prices too.
It's cheap. There are a lot of options to pick from. Food is decent for the cheap price. You do get what you pay for in terms of atmosphere and cleanliness. Don't expect anything fancy. It's a local buffet that's really good for its price.
Oh, please don't come to this restaurant, the experience is really frustrating. I and my friends went there together recently, the waitess is really rude, she threw the bill on your table when you just started the meal. After the meal, we talked for several minutes(I can guaranty not too long), she came and asked "why don't you leave? You have already finished right?" How can she asked such a question? She just wants to turn the table. The food is so-so. There is a lunch buffet, but only a few avaible dishes. They are selling "Sushi" as well, but it is totally a different thing from a Japanese Sushi.
I've been coming to this family-owned restaurant for a few years. The food is delicious and fairly inexpensive. The buffet is best about 30 minutes after opening, but frankly, I sometimes visit later to miss the crowds.
Extremely rude owner/manager. I went with coworkers for the sushi/Korean buffet. I ate strictly sushi. On my second trip up the manager began making comments. The third time I came up the lady told me to leave sushi for other people. Told me I couldn't use the big plates and have to use the small ones. So I grabbed two small ones. And of course she made comments about eating from the hit buffet. We won't be returning unless it's to videotape and blast this spot on social media. Unfortunate though. We use to frequent here back in the day. And the same manager use to be very friendly. Horrible rude management/owner.
Pleasant service and food.
Nice
Sushi is ehh, rest of the food is the same. Good service, cheap. You get what you pay for.
Real. To get more real, you have to visit the country. Amazing because the food is home made so you're actually eating Korean and not some American version!
Amazing!
Great price. Authentic food.
Great lunch buffet. Love this place, come back often.
It was a terrible experience the waitress was non-existent and the lady behind the sushi bar was giving me a hard time the entire time
The lunch buffet is great. They are busy, so go early.
Food is just okay. Not going back. Called and was told price is $24 per person. We were charged at $27 per person. When ask .. the young guy told me that he gave me the wrong price over the phone. My mistake not checking. No sorry. No price change. And said they give us some free sushi and that should have made up for it. $24 per head is already too high and now $27? Not honoring promised price. Not even a sorry. Not coming back buddy!
I get to eat here a lot since I work nearby. I got to say the service is always awesome and they keep the place well organized all the time. Rates are reasonable and they serve sizeable portions.
I often go there for Lunch buffet. Spicy pork is my favorite here
The best low key sushi and Korean resturant in PG county. Great prices. Good food and better sushi. Give it a go .
The staff is rude and nasty. A woman who I assume was the manager, told one guy to stop eating all the food and to leave some for others when the guy got up for a second helping of the Korean pancakes. He didn't fill up his plate and he didn't take them all. She had no reason to tell him to stop eating AT A BUFFET. Moments later she tells a table that was having a business lunch that they need to leave because they were taking up space, but the place wasn't even close to being half full. I was disgusted by this woman's behavior, and the food wasn't even that great.
We visited maryland several times and this was our second time being at Garam. We got off the plane late so we got to the restaurant after the lunch buffet time. The service was literally trashy and the owner/server did not even answer our requests. They were laughing about something while we were eating and lousy. I hate korean restaurants because of bad services and expensive prices just like Garam. The food was not any different from other asian restaurants. I would not recommend this place.
WARNING ⚠️ BEWARE very rude staff that barely understands a word of English. Extremely overpriced food!! Not a single customer but me! I ordered a soup to start and all three staff tried their best to remove me from the restaurant because I didn't spend big money!
Ok
Food is average. But very friendly staff.
Fresh and many good choices
Good sushi lunch buffet
This is a great restaurant! It’s family owned and run and their offerings are spot on! We always receive good service when we dine here. (I suspect those that have other opinions might have unrealistic expectations.) We especially like to dine here on snow days because they have bowls of spicy hot soup. We also enjoy their tiny sushi for lunch! This family goes the extra mile to make customers happy. Example- one snow day last year when everything was closed- they insisted on making us our own tiny sushi buffet despite us being the only customers. Thank for you being a local staple!
Korean hotpot is gooood! One pot enough for two foodie. Lunch buffet here is one of my favorite.
Went to the lunch buffet here. It was flavorful, authentic Korean food. The sushi is made right in front of you and is all you can eat. The vegetable pancake was so well seasoned. Definitely a hidden gem for those looking for delicious Korean food at a great price!
Good korean food
Very decent korean buffet, about $15 for lunch after tip and tax is added. Used to have decent sushi too, but sushi quality has been on a decline as of early 2018.
I stop here sometimes when I'm in the area, for the buffet. Never had bad experiences with the buffet. Sometimes the quality suffers compared to non-buffet Korean entrees, but that's to be expected. For what it is, and at the price offered, its great. The buffet also includes sushi, a nice bonus.
Really like the lunch buffet sushi
Great Korean food.. low kee secret
불고기가 맛있어요.
I like lunch buffet. It's a very reasonable price.
This was one of my worst experiences in a while. I used to come to this place a decade ago when I was in school. It was a good and okayish place back then, but I frequently came here. Usually busy for lunch. Since I was in the area, I wanted to visit a place where I used to go. Today, it was not as busy as it used to be. Oh boy, has this place fallen. First, the lunch buffet starts at 11:30 am, but we didn't get to start until 11:45. There was an older couple, the wife who was making sushi and the husband that was handling the buffet, seating and drinks. Another staff member shows up around noon. It was not well organized and pretty chaotic at the beginning. Second, while they were taking off the plastic wrap for the sushi, a piece of fish fell off, and without washing his hands, the guy (who had some noticeably darker fingers from setting up the buffet) used his bare hands to put the fish back on the rice. That was pretty off putting. Also, the sushi slices were small and rice was hard. Third, we found a short black hair in the miso soup. When we prompted the server about it, she stared at my wife's longer hair and said sorry and walked away. To them, that was supposed to be the end of it? We lost all of our appetite from that point and we only finished half of a single plate. Gave up and began walking towards the door. This place has lost its flair and its basic knowledge of cleanliness. We were even skeptical how clean any of the utensils were. Safe to say, we were not happy even paying for the buffet and we will never be coming back to this place. So sad that everything ended this way. My memories of the time I was in school have been demolished as well.
Cheap but quality food!
I went to this restaurant with my family and they all loved the food. We thought the place was clean and the food was great. I will definitely go back.
This place used to be the epicenter of that dank Korean food. It was the real deal back in the day. But something bad has happened. The quality of food and service has gone way down. It breaks my heart.
Small list of items was my only complaint. Everything I had was good.
The place could use a fresh coat of paint but the food more than makes up for it and the service is great as well.
This is the best Korean buffet paired with a Japanese sushi bar. Great variety. Lots of options for vegetarians too.
너의 음식 맛이 끔찍해 I used to eat here all the time. A few years ago you could say that this place had authentic Korean cuisine. Now the food is overpriced and either too salty, sugary, or greasy. The buffet is limited whether it be lunch or dinner. There is an old Korean lady who appears to be the manager or owner who is very rude. We got the buffet during the lunch hour and there was more than an hour left before the lunch shut down. The lady refused to refill the buffet. Yet while we were scraping the food pans her staff came out and began to eat from the diminished buffet. I highly recommend the Honey Pig in Ellicott City. I also recommend the Lotte Market as well. There are many small stands located inside. Use cash only at the Lotte Market, because some of the vendors have skimmers on their machines. Gah Rham needs to be inspected by the Health Department and ICE.
Best Sushi lunch buffet deal in Prince George's County (maybe even in the DMV :))! $12.50 for all-you-can-eat quality sushi and authentic korean buffet (endless miso soup included) just can't be beat. Sushi portions are small but that's irrelevant. Just pile it on your plate like I do. Service is great and I've been going there for years.
This restaurant is my number one restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. everytime I feel like having a decent supper, this restaurant comes first to my head. outstanding and varied food and a rich cuisine.trained staff, and nice mood. And very important, the price is reasonable. I suggest this restaurant with great pleasure.
Delicious and served by really nice people. Sometimes you're just craving bulgogi. :)
