I was so excited to try it out because I had heard nothing but great things. At first glance, it was clean and well kept. The host greeted us as we entered and provided us with an estimated wait time. As we waited, the aromas from the kitchen smelled amazing. I was so excited to try it out because I had heard nothing but great things, but it quickly turned to my worst dinning experience. We were seated, provided with water, and per usual I asked the waitress for a suggestion. She suggested the seasonal Mexican Corn Hash so I ordered, waited and received my food. I noticed my eggs were sunny side up, after notifying Jasmine that my egg was not fried hard, she smiled and took it back to the kitchen. I went on to discuss the fresh options available with my friend with whom I was eating breakfast with to celebrate her birthday. A decent amount of time has passed and I am still waiting on my food. I see Jasmine grab it, open it up (I could not see behind the white carry out top), smile, and placed it in a bag. She brought the bag to the table and left. I remove my meal from the bag and open up the container to find a glob of spit on top of my meal. After showing this to Jasmine, she apologized and insisted she had no idea how it got there. I am completely disgusted and will never eat here again. If you don't mind spit in your food, the pancakes were amazing.

Walked in right at opening to get some food to go. Staff was very welcoming and got the Floridian French Toast and the Turkey Gravy. Food came out very fast and took down to JHU. Arrived down there to take food to my fiance and it was still hot on a 32degree day. Food was good and fresh. Will definitely be going back.

Pretty good but also pretty understaffed sadly. I was happy with my meal and it wasn't too expensive, but we only received our water at the end of the meal (about 40 minutes after asking). They were just busy and had maybe 4 people walking around the restaurant so it wasn't the best service.

I wish I could post one rating for the food (****) and one for service/management (*). Even reserving ahead with their app, it took a very long time to be seated, to be waited on, to get the food. When we arrived the app said we were next to be seated and staff said we were on the "no wait" list. Half an hour later, we were still waiting and they couldn't find us on the list. Leaving was not an option, unfortunately, and since we'd had very nice food at the Columbia location we stayed. Finally got a table, then waited another 15 minutes for a server to arrive. When the food eventually appeared, it was good as expected. My only disappointment was that the breakfast potatoes were barely warm. My sister thoroughly enjoyed her roast beef/Havarti sandwich and salad with chicken, bacon and pecans. I'd recommend the food, but only if you have lots of time and some good company with whom to pass the time.

Its a nice sized restaurant that closes at 230pm daily. Youre best bet is yo male this a breakfast or lunch date. The best thing is the prices are reasonable. Visit FIRST WATCH!

I enjoyed this spot. We went there for Mother's Day and the wait was long, but well worth it. I did the Trifecta with a side of potatoes. I am definitely going to try the Tacos when I go back. The service was GREAT, I was very impressed with these young people. BRAVO.

Random Thursday morning, about 11. Walk in, the small lobby area is full of people sitting around. There are people waiting to pay. There's not much food on the tables. Their are a few empty tables. A hostess, or is she a server? says she'll be with me in one moment. I walked out 5 minutes later. No one else had interacted with me or anyone else in the lobby. Good luck eating here.

Food was cold, didn't come out for an hour, and tasted bland. in the end when I went to pay the server (not mine) made a smug remark to another customer saying "at least u got your food". That customer got 40 dollars in gift cards and more and left mad. When I went to say something, the server closed out my bill and moved along. For my 1st time, this may be my last time.

Awesome, fresh food. A bit expensive. If you go during busy hours, be prepared to wait and wait and wait. Our last visit it took 1 1/2 hours to get our food. But the workers are beyond nice and the service is awesome. When you go during non-busy hours, you can be in and out in under an hour.

My friend and I went here for breakfast and were greeted and seated by a lady who told us that a server would be with us “shortly.” We realized that “shortly” actually meant 30 mins, and after customers that had come AFTER us had already gotten their orders taken. It seemed as though we were invisible and nobody even bothered to ask us if we’d been helped. Mind you, the place wasn’t even busy at that point; the employees were simply just ignorant and biased towards whom they wanted to serve. After waiting for what seemed like eternity, we decided to leave with empty stomachs and go find another place to eat. This place is just really poorly managed. :/

The wait was over an hour. No reservation by phones, however reservation is accepted by the first watch app. The hostess never mentioned the app when I called for reservation. People are in line on the waiting list even if they are not presence.This is a horrible solution! Very unorganized. The hostess was not polite and unprofessional. I have eaten here several times and today was not good. Maybe new staff...customer service training is key and important! Customer service goes a long way!

My sister and I just found out about this place not too long ago and started going every Tuesday for our own little "Twin Tuesday Brunch". The food is really good and fresh and the service is just as good. However, when I signed up for the email club I was sent a coupon for buy one get one entree but the restaurant did not accept it. They said I was supposed to print it out yet it did not say that on the actual coupon or the email that gave the link to the coupon. I am very cheap so I love getting coupons and other places I have been to make it very clear on the coupon if it was supposed to be printed out or not. The women at the register said they have been having problems with corporate not making it clearly labeled on coupons and other promotions what the certain specifications/policies they have. I then asked if she could honor the coupon today until the issue is resolved and she said no. I was super close to asking to speak to a manager and wanting to see their manual to see where that policy is written on paper but did not want to hold up the line behind me. I will be writing to corporate about this issue. I may or not be back. *****UPDATED**** Spoke to corporate about the coupon issue and they contacted the restaurant and allowed me to use the coupon. Corporate also said they are workers with their marketing team to correct the issue. The restaurant manager was really accommodating and our Twin Tuesday’s are back on!

Food is always good but the last two times have not been worth the service received. They don't do reservations but you can put your name on a waitlist via their app. The last time we went it showed a zero wait time but when we went the line was out the door and staff was overwhelmed and understaffed; we were given a 20-25 min wait time. No problem and we were seated in about 15, but waited 10 minutes for a server to even come over and at least 30 minutes for our food, then another 20 to even get the check. They definitely need to hire more staff.

Coming through the door you can smell the fresh brewing coffee which smells so great,it makes you want a cup while you wait to be seated. The staff are so friendly and professional, the servers know the menu of every dish so they are a good reference for something you might want to try. But I can honestly say I never had a bad dish from First Watch. And this location is my favorite of all the First watches I've been too, this place is always clean from the restaurant to the bathroom clean. And well stocked you can tell the manager and staff care about there customers. Thanks First Watch Pikesville I will take you over IHOP any day of the week.

October 2018 I have been enjoying the food, service, and friendly and professional atmosphere of the Pikesville First Watch restaurant for several years, and I can honestly say that things have only gotten better over time. They serve really tasty and beautifully presented dishes with genuine courtesy and attention to their customers. I have dined with toddlers, adults, senior citizens, and teens. In every instance, the wait staff notices and easily provides appropriate accommodations. The food is always hot, accurate, and delicious. The ONLY thing they can do better is to extend their hours.

Asked for ice water, water no ice.people who sat down after us received food earlier than us. Waitress never came to tell us what was taking so long, but she went to the table next to us multiple times. Had to go to the hostess to see what was taking so long. She said she would check. Waitress finally came to us to explain that the "reason it was taking so long was because my wife ordered the fritter." A regular menu item. No disclaimer on menu or from her that it would take extra time. Plus other tables ordered same item and received before us. They finally brought our food, IT WAS COLD. Would give it a zero if possible. Ordered standard menu items, no special requests. People who were seated after us had finished their meal and left before we could get some ice to go with the water.

We arrived on a weekday one hour before closing. Promptly seated and our order was taken. The food arrived 15 minutes later and was hot and cooked to our tastes. Perfect! Please order the blueberry multigrain pancakes served with meat of your choice and 2 eggs made to order. The pancakes were filled with fresh berries. It was delicious and really good size portions. I plan on returning again. Thanks.

I would not suggest going to this location. I have been to multiple First Watch's before, mostly out of state, and my experience had always been unique and positive. Today we went to the one in Pikesville and I was very, very disappointed. We were seated immediately but waited about 45 minutes after ordering to get our food. Also, I ordered gluten free bread and about 10 minutes after our food came, the waitress brought the gluten free bread and told me to stop eating the bread that came with the meal. Thankfully I don't have an allergy (just sensitive to it) but what if I did?? Again, very disappointed and we will not be going back.
