I've been coming to cluck u for about 10 years now. The sause is really what makes the wings, and here it's great. The only reason this is a 4 star instead of 5 is because the service is pretty inconsistent, but I feel like that's mostly due to being in a college town there is a lot of turn over with employees.

Ordered through Grub Hub, and I put in the wrong address. The person at that address took my food, but when I called the manager (although unhappy) sent me my order with the corrected address. Food was incredible! People really accommodating and patient even though it was close to their closing time. I'm really appreciative of the understanding on their part, and the food was banging!

Ordered a crispy chicken buffalo bleu sandwich. They told me it would take them 10 mins to make it. The bread was great and the crispy chicken was sensational. There was a little too much sauce when I got my sandwich. Ask for less sauce when ordering.

Ordered a sandwich and fries online. It took 2 hours for the delivery driver to finally get to my door and by then the fries were cold and the buns on the sandwich were so soggy it was almost unpleasant to eat. I've ordered from there before and the food is mediocre at best, but the customer service is terrible and you'd be lucky to get your delivery order in under an hour.

The place originally got shut down for health code violations like storing piles of refrigerated raw chicken on counters and floors. It has recently re-opened but still has issues with cleanliness and terrible workers who will hang up on you or act irritated in general for regular service. The restaurant will probably shut down soon again, and you probably don't want to eat there on the decline unless you want to risk food poisoning.

First time ever at a Cluck-U. Was not dissapointed. Awesome carribean jerk sauce boneless wings and shrimp wrap. Very reasonable prices with a large variety of items to choose from. Place was kept very clean and service was amazingly friendly. Will definitely be my go to place when I attend UMD in the Fall

The service was fine (I'm forced to wonder why the previous reviewer waited 2 hrs for fast food), but the food itself was horrible. I'd heard such good things about Cluck-U & decided to give it a whirl for lunch, but across my meal as well as those of my coworkers: The chicken was overcooked (or perhaps the oil hadn't been changed), the mashed potatoes were dry, the biscuit was a rock, and even the fountain soda was more akin to seltzer with a touch of bitter syrup. I ended up getting Sierra Mist just so it'd be as close to selzter as possible... at least I like seltzer. One of my coworkers also got the wrong side, but she didn't ask to have it changed to the correct one -- I at least feel confident that if she did, they'd have probably replaced it in due order. The service was fine; the food far less so.

I was pretty hyped that they offer their wings naked (they are usually breaded). Takes a bit longer, but I'm doing an obnoxious low carb diet so naked wings is one of the few junk food meals I can eat. They were right tasty. Definitely better than the wings at looneys up the street. The buffalo sauce wasnt really very spicey at all so I'll be trying the hotter versions next time

Ordered 10 boneless wings. Delicious and tender. Good sized pieces too. 10 boneless wings actually filled me up and I’m quite a greedy eater. I ordered Caribbean jerk (the darker one on the left, and Traditional Death (on the right). Spicy but perfect for my tastes.

Cluck-U Chicken is the obvious late-night spot for drunk college students. You don't go here if you're looking for top-notch wings, atmosphere, or service. Prices are reasonable and you get decent portions, but you can find much better wings than here. I highly recommend trying Wing Stop! The staff is about what you'd expect for a spot like this-- nothing to write home about. Things I tried & like: Fries - Cluck U has decent fries that you can get smothered in a variety of sauces. They're freshly fried and taste crisp and not too oily. Things I tried & dislike: Barbecue Boneless Wings - The wings just aren't that good. They're not crispy; instead they get soggy from the sauce in which they're smothered. The sauce is supposed to complement the wings while allowing them to stay crispy. Overall, there's much better spots in the area to get your chicken fix. Hell, even McDonald's new chicken tenders are a good bet.

Extremely rude service for no reason. My party just ordered food and we were waiting. When the food came out the server was condensing, and angry. Shouting at my party for not having our tickets, which we all did and showed him. Then when we asked why the food wasn't take out he began to give us dirty looks and proceeded to stomp off. The only reason we didnt go to management was because our tight schedule. This is takeout, but I don't expect to be berated for literally nothing. Never go to this place unless you expect to be insulted while you wait for your food.
