This is the “local Chinese” take out place in Clarksburg. Didn’t have high expectations going in, but was pleasantly surprised! Abundant fresh vegetables, fresh cooked food. Only downside was the rice, definitely was a lower quality.

I give this place zero stars. I decided to try something new and we received the menu in the mail. I call and place my order ($28 worth) the person in the phone says I need to order more because I’m apparently 5 miles away. I told him the minimum is $15 and that I’m only 3 miles away. He was rude and pushy. Then he tells me 45 mins for the delivery and it took 1.25 hours to get our food. Last but not least me and my husband got the runs later that night and the next day. I call the restaurant to explain what happened and ask to speak to a manager and he tells me I need to call the health department and hangs up on me. Rudest I’ve EVER been treated by any customer service person. DONT EAT HERE. It’s bad all around!

I ordered Szechuan Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and a bottle of coke, and it cost over $20.00. That is terrible value. Furthermore, the fried rice did not have a good flavor to it, and did not have egg. The pork in the fried rice was very good, but that was the only good thing about it. Also, the Szechuan Chicken had a nice flavor to it, but there was hardly any chicken at all, mostly vegetables. And I'm not exaggerating. It was a stunningly low Chicken to Veggie ratio, unlike any other Chinese place I've eaten at. Lastly, the service was not good. I placed my order over the phone, and I live in a basement apartment. When I explained to him that the driver would need to go to the side gate and deliver it to the back door, he said "Well, my job is to just take you order." I then said, "well would it be too much trouble for you to relay that to who ever's job it is to deliver the food?". He agreed to do so. When the driver delivered the food he made a sarcastic comment about the door being the "back door, not the side door as you told the clerk." I said, I did not tell the clerk that, I told him to enter the side gate, and knock on the back door. I'm sure some of this is language barrier, but an attitude problem and an unwillingness to please their customers had nothing to do with language, but rather a lack of commitment to their customers. Needless to say, I will be taking the 10 minute trip to Damascus to order from Panda East for future Chinese food. This was just a terrible experience, and way too pricy for their snarky attitude.

My wife and I have been getting delivery from China Spring for at least twice a month for three years now, and we are the edge of their delivery area (about 10 minutes away). Knowing that, we almost always order in the neighborhood of $40-45 of food, and ALWAYS tip 25% to the driver (on top of them charging a delivery fee). Today, out of nowhere, they tell us they will only deliver with a $50 Minimum. We explained how long we have been getting delivery from them, and that as two semi-senior citizens, that represents more food than we can possibly eat - and that we couldn't do that. Bottom line: the rude young woman answering the phone could care less, and let us know they didn't care whether they had our business or not. Guess they don't need our $1,200 a year and our $300 in tips. WON'T BE ORDERING FROM THEM EVER AGAIN!

Been eating at this place for years and today marks the last day. Roommate and I found a ball of hair in the our sweet and sour chicken. We went to take to take back and they tried to blame us for it! I suggest never eating here again and if ypu decide to always check your food

Wow! Ordered online at 615 for delivery. Delivery time was 7 but he was knocking on our door at 630! Which was awesome because we had just drove 8 hours. We were hungry but didnt want to go out. We got it delivered to our room at la quinta inn! Food is hot and fresh and delicious. There is nothing I love more than online ordering and delivery. I reccomend this restaurant for comfort food A++ we ordered crab rangoon, chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, and general tso's.

The wonton soup was brown and tasted nothing like any wonton soup I've ever had...not a good thing. The chicken had a funny taste and the rice tasted like it was just heated up and not actually made there. Service was quick and friendly and the egg roll and fortune cookie are the only thing edible that I would recommend.

Solid Chinese food delivery; they do the basics well—nothing to write home about, but you get the General Tso's you're looking for—and they're consistent about quality and delivering on time. The beef-on-a-stick are pretty excellent; we always order more than we'll eat in a night just so we'll have snacks the next day.

I bought multiple lunch specials and even combination fried rice and everything was spoiled and sticky. I went to try and get my refund and they called the cops on me. I've never had food spoil on me in 5 hours. By far the worst and would not recommend this to anyone.

I have ordered from here for over three years with no problems. Suddenly, they implement this policy that they only deliver to my address if I spend $35. They continue to send me menus, which state $15 minimum for delivery. I'm sorry, for so-so food, to suddenly price gouge customers is the reason why I will never order from them again. Good thing there is a shop in Damascus that delivers without a ridiculous $35 minimum.

This is my favorite in the area. I really only love shrimp fried rice, egg rolls, and spring rolls. You’d be surprised, though, how many places just don’t get fried rice right—and not everywhere has shrimp fried rice. It’s flavorful and balanced, they don’t skimp on the shrimp, and it’s not dry. Their spring rolls are an explosion of flavor with great texture, and their egg rolls are the right amount of crisp without compromising the texture. Anyway, I like them :)

This food has been the worst Chinese experience of my life and how they managed to mess up Chinese food is unbelievable. Everything I got was a disaster. I got "meat" that vaguely looked like what it supposed to be; however, all of the taste was off. This food is at best only suitable for animal consumption if they will eat it. Do not go here.

***Update 05Oct18 - Well, we finally..FINALLY managed to find our new 'China Spring' in NC...'Golden China Restaraunt'. That said, this will be my final post under this review, as sad as I know that is for all of my loyal readers. I must thank you all for your support during these dire times of 'China Spring' withdrawal. Their crab rangoons that explode because they are WAY TOO stuffed will always be very fond memories for us. Our Christmas General Tso's and Pepper Chicken feast under the tree each year will need to be a continued tradition here with our new Golden China. Farewell All! ***Update 11Aug18 - We have thus far been fruitless in our pursuit of discovering cuisine comparable to our China Spring near our new home some 400 miles away. We shall continue on our mission to fulfill this absolutely necessary requirement in hopes that we shall soon be satiated! ***Update 04Jul18 - It is with great sadness that we will no longer be able to enjoy the AWESOMENESS of China Spring as we are moving away. We will miss their Crab Rangoons and General Tsos BIGTIME! Please read on below for our original review. Farewell China Spring...Farewell!

It was terrible not fried long enough where when I was trying to put on a plate it fell apart.Took it back they gave a excuse saying the condensation from container made it soft and very bland no season at all,which I have had this from other places with no problèmes.They said I should of said fried hard but thats just another excuse..Don't have to worry that's the first and last will they get my money

Their food is really good! We typically get the beef stick (our favorite) General sou chicken And I get a weird combo of rice noodles, with shrimp in white sauce (they specially make this for me which is super nice of them) The dumplings are probably the biggest fail here as they are way too thick and not a nice thing outer layer though the filling is delicious The only other fail was hunan shrimp the sauce was not spicy at all and very gravy like Overall a frailty favorite :)

I spent $53.66 on the most disgusting food I have ever eaten. I couldn't finish my meal, the meat vaguely resembled chicken, but tasted spoiled. I could barely stomach the rice, my daughter ate 3 bites of "beef" and broccoli and started vomiting. We didn't finish anything. It seems as though the food were rancid. Buyer beware, of you want reasonable food go to Chinatown, that's where we should have gone. I am pretty sure my family is going to get food poisoning, as I feel nausea and my husband is turning pale.

I decided to give this place a try for lunch recently. The food tasted pretty good and was hot and fresh. However, I question the cleanliness of this establishment. When I walked in, they had a large dirty looking tote full of dried noodles and was stuffing them in bags right out of the tote. I know I won’t be ordering those and I typically love them. Not sure how I feel about eating here.

We tried this restaurant because of the reviews, and couldnt believe how disappointing the food was. I got crispy sesame beef which wasnt crispy at all but a soggy mess. The coating was so thick that i couldnt find the beef. The other dish was a chicken dish and it was equally disappointing. Neither dish was finished and leftovers were thrown away. I frequently order Asian food and this just disnt measure up.
