California tortilla is one of my favorite tex-mex restaurant. I love all of the interesting burrito recipes. Today, I enjoyed the Chicken bacon tomato quesadilla with chips and guacamole. Very yummy. Next time I'll take a photo.

The Bowie Town Center location needs to have a professional supervisor closing. The young guys working were having loud conversations using the N word and other profanity. They were too much into their conversation and closing to where they forgot about a customer’s food. They also kept putting customers food in to go boxes when they stated they were eating in. Instead of fully fixing it , they just threw the boxes on a tray and said enjoy your meal. They need some professionalism training. This is not a social club. Also the food was not prepared properly. The owner needs to be more tentative to how the employees behave in his/her abscence

Good for quick dining and fills you up! Kid meals come with ALOT of food. Best is Kids burrito. Comes with Burrito with rice, and chicken also with nachos and kids drink. And a chocolate cookie!! Yayy :D

I love the selection of burrito options here. The fact they sell the hot sauce bottles (you can try before you buy) is a bonus. Coco helped me get through the line quickly, and the other staff were busy, but nice!

Usually I try not to post reviews unless I can give a really good review. But after the past 3 times of poor service at the Bowie Town Center California Tortilla, I feel compelled to write. The food is still good but the last three times I have gone there the service has been well below par. Including: glacially slow service on two of the visits, a counter person remaining on his phone when I came up to the counter to place my order, food preparers who were joking and laughing with each other and consequently going very slowly on the food prep. For food, they are still highly rated for me, but service-wise they have become very poor. They used to be welcoming, prompt and delicious. They are now just delicious.

California Tortilla in Bowie is falling short. They were out of a lot of menu items and substituted a cheaper item in our order without asking. Their shelves are half empty of sauces. This place used to be a great place to eat, but isn't so great anymore.

Cal tortilla has very good food. I have had burritos and tacos and have always been satisfied until today. Ordered the blackened chicken burrito and the chicken was dry. Not sure if blackened caused this. I will still go back again.

California Tortilla where flavor comes to die. I had the blandest fish taco of my life today. It was so gross it turned my stomach mid-meal. The saving grace of my experience was the extra side of guac I purchased to eat with the salted tortilla chips, they helped settle my stomach a bit.

Tasty, good and lots of hot sauces to choose from. It is a little I overpriced for fast food and needs value meal options. I had a SMALL pork burrito. Very tasty, but $6.99! I added chips and a soda. Total price $10.59. This would be an every day place if the prices were lower.

I just wanted to give credit where it is due. I went to the Bowie California Tortilla location last night and since I hadn't been there in years I was really undecided as to what to order. The young man behind the counter was who's name is Eustabio Hernandez was so patient and kind it was refreshing. Not once did I feel rushed as he proceeded to tell me about all the different items on the menu. Because of his friendliness I took his recommendation. I was not disappointed and will definatly return. Very nice experience this young man should be acknowledged along with rewarded. It's hard to find good work these days and we should keep the ones that shine. Good job Eustabio and thank you.

We went last night for a school fundraiser and everything was comically terrible. (This would be a one star review, but since they're helping our school, I'll give them a star for that- although next time, I'll give the $30 directly to the school and find some edible food elsewhere). When we arrived, the cashier began to take our order, then interrupted us to answer the phone. We hung out for 5 minutes while she argued with someone on the phone and the line got progressively longer and more chaotic. Each of our drinks from the soda fountain tasted like dirty pipes, which was a nice change because our food tasted like NOTHING. If you like bland food that tastes like burnt meat, topped with plain rice and wrapped in soggy flour, this place could be your new jam. If you like Mexican food- maybe go somewhere else? The silver lining is that, as a family, we got to share this terrible dinner together and bond over how truly awful everything was, so in my book that's kind of a win.

I like this place. It is similar to Baja Fresh menu-wise. My food has been waiting for me each time I've ordered carry-out. The online ordering process is good and gives you many options to add or remove parts of your dish. The only thing I ask is that they include PayPal as an option for checkout.

The food was decent with good flavor. This was our first time going, the cashier was not helpful with the menu when asked questions. The floors and tables were sticky and noticeably dirty. The cost of the food does not match the quality, to expensive for a fancy taco bell. Would not recommend.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tables and floors are clean. The California screamin is good the regular size is really big. Also tried 2 sunset tacos, loved them. Added chips and guacamole finished the guacamole first. The chopped onion and pepper were a little too big for me. The fountain drink machine, is touch screen.... it needs to be cleaned. It's made to order vs. Cooked to order. Enjoyed the stay

Order 3 items to go; California Bowl, 2 Street Picks (California Club Tacos). The Califonia Bowl had no chicken or sauce. The tacos were doubles stacked with soft tacos and had no sauce. Just chicken, tomatoes and a little lettuce. Called to talk to the manager. Was told manager not in call back tomorrow. Avoid store terrible service. I would have given no stars but Google made me give 1.

This in my experience might be one of their better locations. That being said the service sometimes leaves a bit to be desired. On my last trip they screwed up my order and I had to ask for them to make the classic burrito when they gave me a classic quesadilla. Admittedly the fact that some genius at corporate thought this would never cause any issues is mostly to blame. I got to keep the quesadilla and they quickly had my burrito but they seemed annoyed. If you like hot sauce they have 72 varieties on a big shelf.

The food here is amazing and much better priced than the Chipotle across the street. Staff is very friendly and the place is clean. I come here at least twice a week for the honey lime chicken burrito with chips and queso.. Sooo good! Since I'm already comparing them to the Chipotle, the cheese is 100x better at California Tortilla. The chips also taste better and there's a much better selection of drinks. They have one of those machines that you can make hundreds of different flavor combinations. Last but not least, the meat is fresher and tastes much better at California Tortilla. It's like you went and bought all fresh ingredients from the store vs a warmed up a leftover burrito that had been sitting in the fridge for a few days.

My mother and I came to this location about half an hour before they closed with the intentions to get something to-go. The manager was sitting in the dining section and an employee sat on the other side where majority of the chairs were already on the tables. We didn't think much of this and proceeded to the register to place our order. The two young men behind the counter looked ready to prepare our meals when the manager comes to them directing them to start cleaning. We wait another few minutes, still hadn't been greeted, and the other employee comes behind the counter and pushed a few buttons on the register which led us to believe he would be taking our orders. He then walked away, without speaking which prompted us to spend another minute contemplating our exit. When he returned less than 30 seconds later, he also began to clean his cooking station. At this point we decided to leave and on our way out the manager, who finally acknowledged us yells after us "I want some McDonald's too ladies!....." Usually when we come here, the customer service is lacking but at least we're usually greeted and have our orders taken within a minute of entering. Needless to say, following this incident we have yet to return.

Solid calexican joint for quick bites. Nachos are good but messy so if you're getting them to go be careful. Great collection of hot sauces and toppings available from mild and smoky to burn your tongue off spicy. Prices are as you'd expect for a place like this.

Low quality food for the price. I live nearby so I’ve given this place more than one chance. They food is consistently bad, and the last thing I ordered was nachos because I figure it’s hard to mess up nachos. Well the ‘queso’ was a gross watery texture and I ordered blackened chicken on it but it had a funny aftertaste. Also their salads are expensive and bland and are iceberg lettuce. Enough said.

First time I ate here! I had never heard of California Tortilla until tonight. Found it by searching for tacos close by. OMG, so awesome. I had the California Screaming street tacos. They were so delicious. They have several bottles of hot sauce to choose from. I had two of the hottest they had and they had me hooked!!!! Love this place!!!

I'm a big fan of California Tortilla in general...it's tasty and fun and the combination of old favorites and rotating promotions keep it on the top 9f my list when I'm looking for fast casual. This location is one of the best ones I've been too. They always have all the sauces in the wall of flame stocked and the staff is very friendly!

Last time I visited here a few months ago it was busy and happy. Now its just depressing. There are unplugged refrigerators no cookies and the floors are dirty. There were only two people making food so the wait was kinda long. I'm not sure what happened but I want the old California Tortilla back.
