REVIEWS OF Breakers Korean BBQ & Grill IN Maryland

Alex Cullison

Don't order the calamari. It made me sick. It doesn't really look like calamari and it certainly doesn't taste like any calamari that I have ever had before. Nasty.

Sasha Zinovik

Happy hour is the best! Low prices ALL YOU CAN EAT :) Our server ERIC was entertaining and attentive, can't wait to come again ♡♡♡

Julie Murphy

2 star rating because our server was fantastic. The atmosphere was lovely as well. These are what is saving this place from a 1 star review. The quality of the meats was terrible; They were almost all fat. The sides were ok. But a little while after leaving the restaurant, everyone in my party started feeling ill. It's currently the morning after, and we're both still feeling it. I know for sure we will not be returning.

Denise Wilder

Not as good as the first couple of time we went.

Brandon Hua

Really good food, waiters, and service. They were always on top of our needs, whether we were running low on our drinks to refilling our side dishes. The only thing I felt was a con was the atmosphere. The restaurant felt like a too "classy", which isn't a bad thing if you want to go with your family or for business. Overall a great place if you want some good Korean BBQ.

Frozen Paper

I went here ince, the food is amazing they have an all you can eat menu that you pcik stiff out where yiu can cook or you can. You get sides its. A nice setup and very cozy

I've eaten Korean BBQ in Austin, Chicago, Memphis, and Salt Lake City. I know what to expect and was looking forward to a great meal. In fact, this is my second time here. I previously came to eat with friends and thought this restaurant was amazing: great food and amazing service with the many banchan that are expected with Korean BBQ. I enjoyed it so much, my partner and I drove over 30 minutes to come back here tonight... This was the most disappointing Korean BBQ we have ever had. Here's why: The bulgogi was flavorless and had more cartlidge than it should have. They decreased the quality of their meat. It is now very sub-par. The squid was overcooked by one of the servers and rubbery in some places, cold in others. It was prepared by a server other than our own: he even lectured us on how it was to be prepared. It was not edible. The banchan are limited to kimchi, sprouts, pickled cucumber, radish, and a mysterious onion-like veggie. Where's the array of banchan? No fishcake? No potato? Seaweed? Anchovy? This was incredibly dissatisfying. We ordered the miso soup and it was barely warm. We sent this back and told them to not bring it back at all. We ordered the fried dumplings (3 pieces); they were cold. After one bite, we sent them back. I put the uneaten part of the dumpling in the bowl and told our server to take them away. The server brought out the remaining two dumplings re-cooked in the fryer. How is that even an acceptable practice? All of our food was also accompanied by three weird sauces that were mostly sugar. I have never seen this at a Korean BBQ restaurant. What is the purposes of these sauces? Our server was apologetic, but said the kitchen was lazy because it was Sunday. That's not an acceptable excuse. The manager seemed like he was not empowered to make anything better. He gave us a small discount and asked us to come back. We did not finish the meal and left. It was absolutely dreadful. We will not be back.

LOVE the food here!!!❤❤❤

Sid Henry

great atmosphere, the menu is stout and has a little more choice than the competition, Sabina did a great job and was amazing

nancy ritchey

This was my first visit to any korean bbq.. I loved it. It's a real experience. The variety of sides and meats see overwhelming. Everything was delicious

Natalie Garcia

Service was amazing, Samuel did a wonderful job! I'm not easy to please and I'm particular about everything but he handled everything flawlessly. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and professional. The food was delicious! The beef bulgogi was so tasty and my favorite. I also really liked the dumplings so yummy and fresh! The only thing we didn't care for was the pork belly, it was too chewy, also we were expecting it to be thinly sliced. However overall everything was great. Try the plum wine, so good. We all left stuffed! Can't wait to go again! My advice to you, come hungry and with loose fitting clothes!

Jack Compton

The best spot for all you can eat KBBQ

Don Francis

Korean BBQ at the table or rice and noodle dishes. Delicious and plentiful food. Prompt and respectful service. Our family has Korean heritage and we often return here when in town.

Michelle F

The korean bbq was really good here! Bon chon (side dishes) were super fresh and kimchi had a really delicious taste! Meat was really good as we had brisket, bul gogi, spicy chicken then squid. Peter Hong our waiter was the best waiter anywhere! He anticipated what the 4 of us each needed and brought it to the table in seconds literally. He even had his own way of cooking the spicy chicken which turned out super delicious. The place is beautiful as it is modern chic and displayed beautiful korean ceramics all over the restaurant along with art work on the walls. It was a beautiful experience to dine here for bbq. If you go, ask to sit in Peter Hong’s section. He’s really the best at serving this style up to you and your guests! The owner even came around after we had eaten to ask how our experience was. Try to get there early as it’s packed after 8pm. Top notch food, atmosphere, and experience.

Alex Lee

I can't agree with their comment, No. 1 Korean BBQ in USA. I will not go to this restaurant again. The server was terrible. He never came until we pressed the bell. The foods are too salty. It was first time to think about the tip to give.

Young Ho Cho

Its kinda all u can eat place when u pay $33(but u can't eat much as u thought). But they cook each dishs for over 10 min(its small amount of meat) and u eat then have to wait another 10 min for next dishs rdy. I asked to server to increase fire but she said their grill fire is actually weak so it will be cooked slowly. 4 of us had 3 dishs meat for 30 min and we all were tired of waiting . If we pay same money in other korean bbq place, we can have nice hot bbq for an hour, but after long waiting here we had cold and not fully cooked meat. My kids were not happy for this place at all. Food tastes ok but not worth of $30. I won't go back there.

David Seto

Excellent food ,service and ambience

young Jee

Price too expensive for the quality of food...it was mistake ...

Hyun Jai Cho

A lot of the reviews aren't that good, but I personally liked it! I've gone twice now, and the first time was a hectic experience, but the second time was great. The waiters are very friendly and they got a seasoned team from Georgia, so they're getting faster and better at serving. The food is good quality, especially for the price. I personally liked the teriyaki chicken! Just keep in mind that it was opening weekend when most of the bad things happened, and it's significantly improved since then. Try it out!

Vincent Chung

Don’t let them fool you when they say they are out of Rib Fingers. I’ve been here 4 times and they always say “there is a shortage”. Should just be honest and say they no longer carry it. Makes the $29 price point not really competitive compared to other Korean barbecue places in the area. Originally had this at 1-star but that’s a bit harsh

R Schrader

Great staff, good food cooked at your table. I always opt for the AYCE. Not only do I love the variety, but I think it's a good deal. Very much a carnivores choice.

I am_kitten watson

They are not cheap! But they are good i recommend to try this place at least once and get youre fill of all you can eat

Jeffrey Crouch

The food is excellent, but the hours aren't as advertised. We showed up at 930 and were told that it wouldn't be what normally is served.

Yeksson Mendez

I went for the first time. It wasn't busy as they had just opened for lunch. The service was excellent. I would definitely like to go again.

Erica Edge

Tasteless food to my husband and I, but for our Korean friend and his wife it was delicious. My husband's salmon steaks look like over cooked chicken breast. Then the crab cake steaks he replace them with we're just as tasteless but also mushy. My first dish bibmap was also tasteless and was supposed to be drowned in sauce which I don't like to do to my food mind you I didn't really care for the sauce to begin with. So I tried the tofu steaks which was also tasteless but with some kind of breaded deep fried crust which was seasoned. The miso soup, salad and appetizers were all on point though. I could eat the pickled radish all day. The customer service was also as it should be. Start off as a quiet Saturday evening and begilan to get busy around 7 p.m.

Paul Friedman

Excellent food and service. Beautiful interior.

Lauren Thai

Good service and staff was so sweet and friendly! Food was good although there are better places for a better price

J H

Verity meat when you ask they keep bring the food and enjoable ,food was delicious with good atmosphere.

Morgan Chapin

Lots of food, new lower price, bring friends, ask for half portions of meat

Eli Keith

Best Korean BBQ place I've ever been to. Clean, simple aesthetic with really polite staff and great food. Everything on the menu is a major go. I would like to give a special shout out to our server Eric who made my first experience here unforgettable. He took care of us at 12am on a Friday and our entire table loved the service with a smile. He is a very genuine and polite man with a great sense of humor. Would highly recommend coming here, it's a huge bonus if Eric is your server, though!

Federico Monticelli

Pretty darn good bulgogi and great service

Adam O'Connor

First time visiting --- excellent experience. Our server Joon was exceptional, very pleasant and funny. The food was exceptional, delicious, and plenty of it! Strongly recommend --- and will return!

Erick Ramos

Great place to eat with you're friends

Matthew Fritz

Great Korean BBQ, and all you can eat for decent prices.

Richard Hite

Large contemporary restaurant with booths and private rooms. Bulgogi was excellent. Side dishes were also delicious. Service was very friendly, and attentive. Excellent place for romantic dining or feasting with friends.

Rose Lee

I had a very plesant experience at the Breakers in Atlanta, GA so my husband and I were excited to try this location. The quality of the meats were great but as it was their grand opening, it seemed to be less organized. Our server tried to make our dinner as smooth as possible even though he seemed very busy. I hope they emerge to their full potential.

SERGEANT EDREES

Great place big portions, come hungry!!!! Service excellent all around we had a great experience here

Andrew Nam

Went here with a few friends. The all you can eat option was full if delicious meats. Highly recommend the beef brisket and pork belly! Service was amazing as well. I will be back very soon!

Aivy league

We went here at 10:15pm with a group of 7 people with no reservation. We called in like 45 mins prior and they said that there was no wait so we all drove straight there. At first they tried to split up our group into 2 tables across from each other but we really really wanted to all sit together and we spoke to the manager and he moved us into a room. Worked out perfectly. Our server Nancy, was AMAZING. Will try to request her again the next time we come. She was so good at keeping our waters filled and bringing us food, sides and checking in occasionally. The staff went above and beyond for us and we truly appreciated it. The meat here is so fresh! Compared to other kbbq in the area this is a good bang for your bucks!!!

Valencia Lee

Love the food and atmosphere! And the service was amazing!

Ryan Walker

The food is very good and of much better quality than most other Korean BBQ I've been to. Nice menu selection and AYCE for pretty cheap. Were missing some side dishes I usually like to have, but once the meats came out, all was well. Loads of drinks including beer and Sony. Atmosphere was just so-so. No televisions or music and the table was rather tight. Overall, I would still highly recommend Breakers.

Chi Sit

Very good Korean BBQ!

Justin Kirkland

Great atmosphere and service.

Sang An

BBQ is good. Unlimited meat is great deal. But stick to the grill. Everything else sucks.

Rebecca Wells

Amazing food and service. The restaurant atmosphere is very relaxing and unique. We had a server named Young. He was awesome. Very friendly and loved talking with him while he made our food. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our night wonderful.

Sigmund Graetzer

My wife and I had a very wonderful experience here. Food is excellent and very fairly priced. It took a little getting used to the fact that they actually cook your entree at the table which is unique and different. We were worried if we would have private time my wife and I. It worked out very well as our waiter/server/chef gave us the private time that we needed and yet when we needed him to be there he would have no problem accommodating us

Eileen Cheng

Wonderful customer service. Provided candles for my friend's birthday cake we brought in from the outside.

Nilofer Saidi

Awesome quality meat and great service!

Helen Magee

Food was good, service not so much but maybe because we came off hours.

Alice Woo

I came here for dinner on a Sunday night with a group of friends. We usually get KBBQ in MD and wanted to switch it up and went to VA since one of our friends is near Fairfax. It was a 30 minute wait for dinner time around 6:30PM. We put our name for the Yelp wait list and browsed the 5 below and best buy in the same shopping center. Service was really good! The servers came by frequently and were very attendent and we didn't have to press the service bell. They were very accommodating and brought larger servings for the side dishes that we liked. Their potato salad banchan was delicious! It was nice to see that they had it since there were other kbbq places that didn't have it. The quality of the meat is a lot better than other KBBQ places in the area and is definitely worth the price, especially for AYCE. They have one that is $25 and another that is $28 that has a larger selection of meats. Some of the meats that we got included brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, and pork teriyaki. The brisket was good but had a tendency to get charred quickly if not taken off the grill. I would make the drive to come back to get BBQ here if friends were visiting.

Brian Jang

Great quality meat, I went there for the first time this week and the service was great. Great time for friends and family:)

Jason Beharry

Delicious food and excellent service. Parking is a plus

Joseph Yi

This place was so great that I want to bring my family here again. My kids and my wife loved the meats over here especially when it's a $19.99 deal. My servers were Justin and michael and they were so fabulous. They treated me so well and got what our family needs. Hope to come here again! :)

Russell A

This place is amazing. Great all-you-can-eat KBBQ at a good price. In an area with a multitude of options for great Korean food, Breakers will always be my first choice.

Nick Ho

Good quality meats and excellent service.

Ming Kwan

Never had a bad meal here. Everything is excellent.

Jeff White

Food was tasty, service was above average. We had the all you can eat dinner. I almost missed the $5 charge for leftover meat dishes but my wife pointed it out, so no problem there. Chose the $30 a person for the best dinner version but everyone at the table has to sign up for the all you can eat so come hungry! It was good food and David was very attentive. My only complaint was that the grill was low heat and took forever to cook each serving of meat. It was a small grill too, so that really slowed down the meal and kept diners from eating too fast. I'm sure that is by design.

Ian S

Not impressed. Service was lackluster and extremely spotty.

Edie Byrne

Good food, excellent service, all you can eat Korean BBQ for $25/person.

Hanna Lee

Please please please do NOT come here to try korean bbq. The food is below mediocre, quality of the meat is poor and not worth the money to spend for ayce. The picture below is LA galbi, no meat on the bone. They raised the price from online menu so it is actually 28 or 33 per person. Also, they said they have run out on some items from the menu which should have been mentioned prior to sitting or ordering. I have tried so many different Korean bbq but this one is one of the worst. I would never come back.

Christopher Park

First off as soon as I walked in the atmosphere was mesmerizing. It didn't feel like a typical Korean BBQ place. I loved how the servers all wore white button ups and dressed up for customers. Although there was a wait time the food was worth the entire wait. Literally I have not tasted better tasting meat. We ordered one marinated beef short rib and one premium short rib split between me and my sister. The meat melted in my mouth. Everything came with side dishes and rice. What's even more surprising was the amazing service. Everything came out immediately and I never once asked for water. I'm going to come again next week just to ask for the same server in hopes to get the same experience for my birthday.

Viv L

We had tried the all you can eat option II which came with the popcorn shrimp and beef short ribs. The meat quality overall was pretty good. Everything tasted good and the side dishes were pretty solid too. The only thing that was just "meh" was the popcorn shrimp. However, they were clearly somewhat understaffed. Some of the wait times for us to get our food was pretty long and it was somewhat difficult to get the waiter's attention when we needed something. I would try it again. But I would give them a chance to get more staff before going. Also, their boss is a pretty nice guy. He had come around asking if everything was okay and giving recommendations on food and helped us cook a bit too.

young kun park

I thought, batter then last time and the other last time. I felt more comfortable.

Sang Kang

First time visiting, many more to come.

Richard Hunter

I gave this place four stars because of the general cleanliness. We were one of the first people in but the bathroom looked like it was after a days worth of activity. However, the all you can eat deal was very good. Lots of little side dishes and all the meat you can ingest. Everything is brought to your table and cooked on the grill in the center. The staff does the cooking but you can turn the meat too if you want.....i have been in a similar place that said the customer was not allowed to participate. The staff was all very friendly and really that made quite a diffence for me. And they all spoke english very well. I have no problem recommending this place.

John Ro

Korean fusion type restaurant. Not sure what to,make,of their concept. Bland food.

Ben Varghese

Spicy pork is great, made me regret not getting that first haha. They have plenty of options for each all you can eat options! Would definitely recommend.

Mark Lee

My wife and I had a chance to dine at Breakers recently; we greatly enjoyed the food, the decor, and the service. We liked the galbi and the bulgogi. They were tasty. The appearance of the restaurant was very modern and classy. The servers were extraordinary. They visited our table regularly to see if our needs were met.

Phissith Ottha-Hekenon

Not bad, comes hungry!

Annette Freeman

This was a "dream come true" experience. This was probably the closest to Korea I will get. Great staff, great food, great price and most of all for "me" great experience! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Paula Collins

Typical Korean barbeque fare without the noise of too close tables and loud music. Great atmosphere and service.

Nathaniel Hanson

The meals and service were ahead of our expectations. I really loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. First-rate place to take my family out for dinner.

soo ji

We ordered the combo #1 and had one of the best grilled meat experience with 5 different kinds of meat. The best part was the 21 days dry aged beef. Everyone enjoyed all meats and side dishes. Will definitely go back and highly recommend this place.

Kenny Wong

First time here. This KBBQ restaurant is probably the largest and spacious I have ever been to. Service was actually pretty good- friendly and attentive. The meats quality was actually pretty good but doesn't justify the $28.99 price tag even when Kogiya and Sō is just as good but cheaper. Because of the price, may not return.

Ting Jenkins

The restaurant was clean and very nice atmosphere. My boyfriend and I got the all you can eat buffet grill and we did ate till we were full. A little pricy but the service was great and our waitress was very nice and helpful. We would definitely go back again.

msdfly333

Neat. Nice. Clean. Good food.

James S

Authentic Korean cuisine in a comfortable, well lit and friendly environment. Unfortunately, I am sorry to say the meat used in the dishes was not very high quality (thinly shaved frozen chicken, beef and pork which was very tough).

Hansei Kai

Best Korean Barbecue in the area, you can select all you can eat or go for small option which by the way it is enough for a hunger person. Very clean and excellent attention. Highly recommended

Carlos Deschamps

Great customer service and great food. Good experience!

Albert Wu

The positives: gorgeous and very modern décor, friendly staff who ask for feedback and are very attentive in keeping your table supplied, good (if a bit strong) drinks, and decent meat. The lines of spacious booths are accented by a row of porcelain, and the gas grills and minimized ventilation make the usually bulky fans unnecessary, allowing the lighting to shine. The food itself is average-the marinades and seasoning are pretty light (which I like) and on the sweet side, but the gas grill makes it harder to get char. While the staff does their best, we ended up with a lot of very very well done (and pretty tough) meat. I would definitely recommend the finger meat, which is extremely flavorful and fatty-and therefore super tender. The sauces were good; we couldn’t stop asking for refills on the side dishes either. One disappointment was seeing the LA Galbi not being on the AYCE menu (though this was understandable, the Breakers website was a little confusing and we thought it would be on it). We went for dinner, but they have an extremely well-priced lunch special. You can only make a reservation for a party of 7 or more, but they offer private rooms (named after Presidents) in the back for that. All in all we had a good experience, but I would hesitate to call the meat the best KBBQ in the area as of now (though you would probably go to an ala carte place for that).

meranda willyard

We come here all the time - the food is great.

Gregory Mertens

Staff was great and food was delicious!! Definitely going back again.

John Powell

There only weird thing was the waiter started table side and cooked instead of other places we have gone to that we did the cooking ourselves. I like cooking myself better. For was amazing either way. Very fresh meats.

Ken Bor

The best Korean restaurant I've tried so far The quality and freshness of meats are amazing good and super delicious. The marinades are mild and pleasant spicy which is good for any one, if you like more spicy I'm pretty sure they can make it as your wish

Deep Grover

Service was good but extremely slow. Had to request for my beer 3 times and it came after about 25 mins. A three year old baby was considered as a seventh person in the party and a mandatory 20 percent tip was charged. Did was okay.

Brad Bender

Tonight was our family's first Korean BBQ, and I can only say every aspect of our visit was amazing! From the salad to the beef short ribs, and everything in between, was so tasty and fun. Our waitress Sue/Soo(sp) was one of the best we've ever had. The inside is beautiful and super clean. Every staff member we dealt with was wonderful. Thank you Breakers for a fantastic feast!

James Yun

Services were not very good for the big group.

Jolene Johnson

The had a wide variety of options on the two all you can eat menus. We choose option B on the all you can eat menu. Everything was very tasty. The staff was very responsive.

나미나미

It was the worst restaurant I ever went. As a Korean, it was really embarrassing food. I cannot recommend this restaurant. I will never come back.

Bob Laigo

We went here on a Friday evening (we made reservations), and we had a phenomenal experience. We were seated in one of the rooms promptly and we practically had a server the whole time we were there (two or three different servers were in rotation but we mostly had the guy who seated us). My friends are notorious for asking for stuff and I was impressed - the hosts kept up very well. The place is very very clean and looks incredible. The food was delicious and just kept on coming. We were checked on a lot to make sure everything was okay. I was hesitant to go because of the reviews I read, but I'm glad to say this is easily one of the better all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ places in the area (vs Kogiya, So Korean, and Oegajib). As to the earlier reviews, I'm just happy that they seem to have ironed out the kinks of a new place. We have family over from Pennsylvania and we're taking them there today (Sunday).

Carla Ferguson

We truly enjoyed eating here. The meat was such great quality, and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sides were sooo good and the service was excellent. This is our new Korean BBQ go-to!

Eugene Cheong

Did not go during peak hours. Good service and selection.

Nam Chann

I made reserveration for 4, two days later I got an email saying they only accepted reservation for 7 people and above. But their website has 2, 4, 6, persons options. Get it right!

LYLY NGUYEN

I was disappointed today. Google said they are closed at 12am. But I am get here at 10:30 pm and they said" closed now". I'm so upset and please should change your business hours.

Levere Breedlove

The staff was excellent and the food was tasty with plenty of variety to choose from.

Mike Gertz

My wife and I visited on a Saturday night. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the bartender gets bonus points from us for making craft margaritas. Solid place. If you want a more expansive Korean menu, head over to one of the places in Annandale. If you want meat - and lots of it - this is the place for you. I think it would be a lot of fun for a group. Definitely the kind of place I would bring friends from out of town.

Juli Bussey

Food was so good and service was great. Helpful waiter who answered any questions for us

Jeremy Feldman

In a word -- confusing. The decor is nice and bathrooms are clean. Huge plus. Happy hour starts at 9. Smart move. Incentives customers to come later. Doesn't come with soup and steamed egg. That makes sense. But no rice. We begged for rice. Got (a) free bowl. I would think cost of goods for rice is cheap. It's heavy too so it should fill up your patrons so they consume less. The happy hour sign says open 12-2 but last call for all you can eat is 12. A little misleading. Would be good to know when walking in at 11:30. Also, why are people getting seating after 12 for all you can eat, hmm. Lastly, I joked about how they charge all parties the entire check when you want it split... And they did just that for the second time.

Yun Song

Not the best but not the worst. Meat is ok. Side dishes are very good. 냉면 was over cooked.

D Y

Would’ve been a 5 star until for this past 2 visits were just horrible. Service used to be great. Servers would refill all the sauces and cook meat for us. But now it’s basically self service and they kept forgetting things that I asked for. I used to pay 20%+ tip but feels like 5% tip or less is more appropriate. Edit: service has gotten better however need to make sure that pork is fully cooked. One of the server served us pink pork meat and told us that its ready. Edit #2: gotten much better since the last few visits. raising 2 stars

Charita Gunter

I love Korean BBQ they did not disappoint. The side dishes were just as flavorful as the meats and the service was amazing!

Danna Giselle

Our server Eric was a great server, very polite and very funny! He was a beautiful boy. The meat was fantastic. All the meats paired super well with the side dishes. 10/10 would recommend. Service was phenomenal!! Lol if you come here, come for Eric. He's so knowledgeable. He will help you out you newbies. :D

Paul Hazelbarth

My wife and I stumbled across this place while trying to get Sushi at Kai10, but it seemed like they were closed at 9:00. Even though it said online and on their door that they close at 9:30. We saw this Korean BBQ place and decided to try it out. The food and service was good, but they lacked Kalbi. The one important main meat at Korean restaurants in my opinion. We did he all you can eat one, which they have two options for. One is $20 something and the other is $28.99. What I liked about their all you can eat is that you can share. So in other words one order of it can feed two people. (If not more if they allow that) They had a lot of great side dishes which we liked. This is a good Korean place to go too that’s good in price. Will come back again.

Richie Flavin

Breakers was excellent as always! I go for the all you can eat option and the choices are quite good! Go for the bulgoli and teryaki pork to start! I will definitely come back soon!

Phillip Huynh

Terrible terrible Korean restaurant, 5 of us came here on the second day of grand opening. We had a plate of beef, a plate of pork and chicken and then the grill stopped working and we've been waiting for 1/2 hour for them to come by to take a look. They could not fix it and my kids are so hungry and we have to wait another 15 minutes and no one bother to tell us what is going on, I finally told them just get me the bill, they got it like in 1 minute. Two adults, 3 kids the bill is $92.00 about 2 lbs of meat and we are going to cook noodle now. Also, customer service is so terrible. I do not recommend anyone this restaurant. Usually, Korean restaurant is famous for good food and customer service, not this one.

Steven Hernandez

First the service, Vlad is amazing, professional prompt, knowledgeable and an amazing conversationalist. He was prompt and very helpful in guiding us through the myrayd of options on the black list all you can eat menu. Meats were delicious and some unique combinations were available I hadn't see in other Korean restraunts before! Highly recommend for the amazing service and fun food choices.

Tony 1 Savage

Everything started going down hill after the manager, Grace left this establishment. I’m standing around at this very moment in the restaurant waiting for my friends to get here in 10 minutes while I’m writing this review. A hostess tells me that my whole party of 3 people has to be present to be seated when it’s not busy at all. I only see staff members standing around talking and texting. This is laziness when they can seat me, and I can order in advance and start cooking in time for my friends to get here. Their business is not going to last long if this keeps up.

Amna Shaikh

Quality of meat wasn’t great! The chicken was very chewy and rubbery. Everything else was excellent like the service, ambience, decor, and cleanliness!

Korrie Koko

Korean Barbecue is the mother's milk for Koreans, Korean Americans, non-Koreans, meat consumers, dat meat sizzle ASMR fanatics, simpletons who find bliss in a meat flip, and whatever. There is a great selection of KBBQ places in NOVA to pick your bias from. Breakers, a new addition to the NOVA KBBQ scene, ranks top. The most important aspect of any KBBQ place, is the MEAT. Up until Breakers, my thoughts on the meat at other places was meh. They all have the standards: pork belly, thinly sliced beef brisket, chicken, maybe some seafood. The meat anywhere tastes the same bc its usually cooked on a gas grill. In South Korea, KBBQ is grilled on CHARCOAL, yielding succulent char-flavored tender meat. At Breakers, they are doing something different with their Pork Belly. It's a 5 layered (most places use 3-layered) pork belly cut THICC. AND it's pre-grilled! You get the savory charcoal flavor mixed in with the fatty and satisfying pork belly texture. Highly recommend. If you don't feel like gouging your belly till the point of self-hate, you can order premium meats a la carte. Their Black Angus beef short rib is their signature for a reason. American steaks tend to be too salty and too burnt. But this is a tender, juicy, flavorful steak that makes you appreciate meat for what it is. The steak looks so delicate, you HAVE to eat it slightly seared. No more than 30 seconds on each side. Sing "happy birthday" in your head 1 time slow or 2 times fast. My mother told me that you shouldn't breathe in the smoke from cooking food bc it causes cancer; who knows if that's true. But she has a point. My previous KBBQ bias doesn't have a proper ventilation system. On a busy night you can see a grease smoke cloud in the ceiling. What's innovative at Breakers, is that their ventilation system encompasses the grill. No smoke, no clothes that excessively smell like meat grease (which isn't a bad scent though). They also use a different kind of grill slate that doesn't char up quickly. Less waiting around for a grill change and less burnt meat. At other places, you may need a grill change/cleaning 3-5 times whereas at Breakers you would maybe need it changed once or twice. There are some KBBQ joints where if they see you touch the meat, they'll never stop by again to cook for you. Someone in the group (me :[ ) becomes the cooking mom and doesn't get to enjoy their meal. It's understandable if it's a busy night and you do some meat flips to help out, but the servers here make it a point to stop by and take the meat prongs from you and cook. This was a really long review. Why are you still reading. Go eat.

Clean, modern, and stylish. There is an all you can eat Korean BBQ option. But we opted for the combination with the house aged galbi - very tender and delicious. The booths provide a cozy feel. The servers grill the meat for you and are happy to bring banchan, garlic, peppers, or whatever you need to have a great meal.

nothing really special or worth the price. it's good but not great. took 20 min to get my drink, a coke, and no extra pickles even though I asked twice.

Winnie The Beast

Food was well cooked, staff was very nice, atmosphere was calm and not loud. Would go there again!

Vijayalakshmi Jampala

Staff was friendly, Music was very holiday spirited and the food was nice. Very fancy so be prepared to dress nice. But overall it's just a great experience and a very comfortable environment.

Victoria Stiles

Probably the best bulgogi I have had in years! Tender, well-marinated, absolutely perfect. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Josh Poland

Peak Korean BBQ. Pork belly was disappointing, but the spicy pork made up for it. Great service and very nice and clean inside.

We went to lunch for family time, there was 8 of us. We received our own private little room. The food and the service was fantastic, we fell in love with this place. Matthew, our server, was great and personable and the restaurant management very attentive to make sure all was well. LOVE IT!!

Breakers has great Korean food, not just great Korean BBQ. The lunch BBQ buffet is a steal too! Go try out their lunch menu!

Eric kim

$45 charcoaled bbq is the worst food I ever had in my life. How do you call that a supreme meat and charge $45 for one serving, and it taste like a rubber? Very hard to chew, and really the worst (like in obvious level) quality of meat. completely wasted my money and will never go there. Breakers is the worst of all other Korean bbq restaurants i've been in Northern Virginia

First time visiting. Kevin the server was awesome. However, spicy squid and spicy chicken were not fresh at all. I advise not to add these to the list, not edible. Also, cold noodle was not at authentic taste at all. The broth for the noodle seemed fused up. Very different and would not try at all. Other than that, not bad for the first visit. For Kevin, giving 3 stars but just for food would've been only 2 stars.

Howard Chang

Great service and a ton of food. Can't beat that for a big family outing.

F2PSpy

Fast, friendly and professional. I would eat there again

Jin Kim

Good service and good food.

Amazing place to Korean BBQ in the area!! Instead of a bad environment, the environment was fancy and elegant. The instead of the restaurant was like a 5 star restaurant. I never had this type of quality meat before Excellent servers, kind, and friendly The food here was excellent and the quality of the meat is the best! Would recommend to anyone in the area!

Jonathan Lee

Good Food and Great Service.

M. Marzulla

Had a great time here. I came because Kogiya was packed, but they were able to sit us without a wait. Very comparable, if a little more pricey than Kogiya and Iron Age. We had great service and I will be coming back again.

Rooks B

I highly recommend this place if you are trying Korea BBQ for the first time. It is a nice setup with delicious food.

Enjoyed our dining experience at Breakers Korean Bar Be Que restaurant. The servers will cook for you unless you request otherwise. Tried the spicy squid, bugolgi, beef brisket, pork belly, teriyaki pork and teriyaki chicken. You will enjoy this dining experience.

Fireball Driver

Not bad BBQ but the fried dumpling as a side dish was cold. And seafood pancake did not have any sea food. We ordered dry cold noodle, but cold noodle soup was served. When we told the waitress, she exchange it but within few seconds. We found that they just drained the soup and poured different sauce on the same dish! When I talked to the manager, he offered to waive the charges for both pancake and the noodle. I think this place is only good for bbq buffet.

Kristoff Inocentes

Prompt and attentive service, although not quite friendly and bordering on rude a few times. Food is delicious and portions are decent. Big space with lots of tables/seats so it's usually easy to get seated. Pricey, but could be well worth it if you have the appetite.

Adam Hungerford

Had a great night with my friends and visiting family. The AYCE1 was excellent and we all left feeling blissfully full and completely satisfied! Thanks to Peter

Marc Villegoureix

Best service I have ever had. First time here and the restaurant is very elegant and our waiter Evan was AMAZING!! VERY DETAILED ORIENTED! Made sure our food was well cooked and the manager was great too. When we come back, will be requesting Evan.

This is a very nice looking establishment, but they seem to be allergic to money. I'm sitting at the bar (only person at the moment) and I'd like to order another drink, but my movie next door is about to begin and I'm being ignored. Too bad, I wanted to like this place.

Varjavand Ariaban

Great place for good quality Korean barbecue. The place can get a bit pricey with drinks but on the flip side, I've never encountered a wait here.

T H

This is probably the cleanest and best tasting all you can eat Korean BBQ that I've been to. Amazing different side dishes to pair with the meats. I had the wine pork belly, beef brisket and beef bugolgi. Naturally I couldn't finish everything but the amounts were enormous. The staff was friendly and attentive. I am so fill that my stretch marks are probably gone. Try it!

Grace Chung

Food is delicious both quality and quantity satisfied also I love price and services. Mr. Mingi our server was so nice and very helpful by letting us know about our questions. I would rate him 5 stars and more if l could. Thank you so much.

Xin Qi

Place is different style compare to other korea BBQ, the interior feels clean and well lit, not insane amount of KPOP blasting your ears off, but my experiences here is a mix bag, first time awesome everything is good, but second time i went, i got served soured rice, the bartender claimed that a jollyrancer is a bloodymarry.

Rod Gomez

Updated 02/19 I gave to this restaurant another opportunity and I was not disappointed, food, service, environment was nice. However they increased the price a lot and I'm not sure if it's worth it to come over again. First review 03/18 Terrible 2 times experience... - party of 6 on a small table with a small grill... we waited a lot of time to have our food ready. - waiters never changed the grill pan and that caused our food teasted smoky/burned we ended up leaving the place. I don't recommend this place.

cat wu

Very long wait during weekend dinner, even they had half of the tables empty. It's the most expensive all you can eat out of all the Korean BBQ restaurants in the area. Price is more for weekends. Meat items were ok but nothing special.

Nate McLean

Best Korean bbq in the area. Get the all you can eat, so many options and it's the same price as other places that aren't. Meat is top grade and the service was great. Highly recommended

Mike G

Hands down my favorite korean bbq spot in the DMV so far. I've been to all of them and I enjoy this location the most because the staff is quick and polite and the sound/noise isnt too much like some of the places in centreville or annandale. The quality of the BBQ is definitely better than most places well. My personal favorite is the bulogi and teriyaki chicken and kimchi. The unlimited sides is plus! The GM is very friendly and showed us very cool cooking tips on how to mix different ingredients with each dish (apparently they have the menu in a particular order, which we didnt know!) Be sure to check this place out when you can.

Stacy Brasfield

We really enjoyed the tempura vegetables, the calamari and the soups, along with the small side dishes and the excellent service. We didn't try the grilled items on our lunch visit since we were not hungry for a large dinner, so I can't speak to these. We expect to return before or after a show at the Cinema Arts theater next door.

Mei Chan

Delicious all-you-can-eat, great quality meat, clean and fun atmosphere and very friendly staff. We had JY and Mingi as our waiters and they were lovely. Highly recommend!

Jong Lee

Good food nice atmosphere. Idea place for large groups.

Eddie Liu

Very comfortable environment. The tables were not as packed as other competitors. Food was decent. The soup on the AYCE menu was a little confusing. There are private rooms for party of party of 8-10 (?).

Jayson Burnett

The service is constantly swift, fantastic atmosphere, very friendly staff members. I will come back again when I am nearby.

Ramez Ashraf

Great atmosphere and decor. Amazing food and variety. Very hospitable and welcoming staff

Alex Ng

Got us seated fast. Good food. Good selection. Good service. All you can eat style place. Little pricey though at $31-34 pre tip tax and drinks. Lower the price some for the fifth star.

M M

Worst Korean BBQ I got the All You Can Eat and I spent $60.00 per person Seasoned KBBQ was no taste but sweet and lots of black pieces was on the all over the meat from BBQ Grill BBQ Grill was changed but it still came along with black pieces from BBQ Grill I would give 5 minus stars

Aramis Alfonso

Is my third korean bbq and I like it. Better flavor than the 2 previous. I will go again.

Thuy Huynh

Best customer service that I've ever had. Our server Vlad was great and helpful. Would definitely come back!

Sean Singh

Unlimited food for a good price

Paul Blumstein

Calvin the waiter was superb. There is a call button at every table and pushing it caused him to magically appear. They have dinners ala carte and all you can eat. We went for the ala carte and it was one of the best bbq places in an area known for Korean food. We had the BBQ Rib Fingers and a combo dish that included bulgogi. Highly recommend.

Arish Doha

Been here a few times, each time has been excellent. Seems like higher quality kbbq meat than some other places, and the service is much better than most other places. I will continue to return!

Matilde Cabrera

Excellent service

Shine

The staff was nice and the food was great. Beautiful resturant.

Carolina Ramirez

My friends and I came here after a paint balling game and were seated very quickly despite having a large group with no reservation. The meat is of the best quality I’ve had so far at a KBBQ restaurant in the DMV, which is high praise from me. The restaurant was generous with the side dishes as well which you don’t always find. The ambience is elegant and there are also private party rooms. I can’t wait to come back!

Angela Daley

Came here with my family and the food was delicious. The owner even stopped by our table to make sure everything was too our liking. The staff was very friendly and the sides are awesome.
