This Restaurant belongs to the category of Asian restaurant.
A large order of chicken drumsticks (15 drumsticks) and a single order of kimchi coleslaw set me back $40.00 and the kimchi coleslaw container was less than half filled. The chicken was good but not worth $40.00. Essentially it is fried chicken without breading and a choice of 2 sauces. I would imagine that Popeye's chicken with sonic boneless wing sauce would be significantly better at less than half the cost.
Chicken was delicious, small but nice to have meal.
Awful customer service.
Yummy food.
Food was pretty bland. Service was a little slow but not bad for the price
Crazy Hot, SuperDelicious. Have sampled the menu and like It all. The small strips from dinner menu in photo.
Visited during lunch and place was not busy. Was told I could seat myself and then was completely ignored by server. After requesting to have my order taken, the food arrived after about 10 minutes. Decent sized portions and flavor. All stars lost for service.
Some of the best sweet , spicy, crunchy chicken around. The bibimbap is pretty tasty too!
For the price and quality of the chicken wings.......no thank - you. The taste is good but the wings are way to small for the price. When they first opened, the wings were worth it. they were HUGE!!! When we asked, the manager said it was a corporate decision to change the wings. Way to go!!! NOT!!! Customers look for consistency. Keep in mind, he wait for them was long but the tastes was good. Once the store was short staffed so they didn't even serve wings just regular menu items - which was a disappointment
Love it. Great food
This restaurant always quotes 20 to 25 minutes for take out and I usually wait 40 to 45. Also they use staples to close the top of the paper bag they put fries in. When you pull open the top of the bag the staple often falls into your fries. You charge $5.95 for an order of seasoned fries, stop being so cheap and put the fries in a container. The five cents for the container will be a lot less than the lawsuit when someone swallows a staple.
Decent and reasonable bibimbap
The soy garlic chicken is soooo good, my husband and i love it
Friendly staff, fairly fast service for being so busy. Chicken is on point. Not a fan of the kimchi coleslaw or bibimbap at this location though.
Just have really bad service. Food is tasty but can’t stomach the service
Great little Korean place. We really enjoyed the katsu and the bibimbap.
My husband and I went on a Saturday it was busy but we did get our food in a timely manner and it was delicious! We had the chicken wings, rice the potstickers and tacos everything was delicious! Also the servers were excellent they really went above and beyond to explain everything to us and to take care of us. I Can't wait to go back again and try some of the other items on the menu if you like spicy you will love this place they also have food that is not spicy we had both. I was told that their fried chicken legs were out of this world. Will definitely be going back again soon!
This was a surprise for me at Arundel Mills area. Very nice staff, great food. 2 things you can't find it Arundel Mills.
The ambiance of this place is awesome. Servers are great and speedy. Chicken is obviously the most famous dish, order the half and half when you first start to get an idea of how things would taste. Salmon avocado ball was also worth the wait. Definitely recommend.
Went on a Saturday around noon. Not busy. Server was attentive. Ginger soy chicken strips were tender and delicious.
The food is delicious, and the price is worth it. The amount of food they serve is excellent for one or more person and the spicy foods there are super spicy, some examples include their chicken. Their chicken is delicious and has some delicious choices.
Food was good but could use a bit more flavor/salt. Large portions. Leftovers lasted 2 days.
Went there for the first time today. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and informative. The menu is pretty decent and gives you many options. Since it was our first time we ordered something simple, the bulgogi meal with rice. Now I love Bo Kobe and have had it several different places oh, this one seems very fresh I felt like it came right off the grill, but it was also a little sweet for some reason and for that reason I'll give this restaurant a three-star. I wasn't blown away and this is not the best bulgogi I've ever had, however the food was pretty good and I like the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff.
If you can manage it go to a different bonchon. This one will give you terrible service Everytime. I have been about twenty times to this one and about ten times to the one in Ellicott City. Definitely try to go to the one in Ellicott
Best.wings.in.town. No question. The staff here are always very helpful, efficient, and friendly. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. I love bringing friends here to share in a guaranteed great meal. Keep it up! Thanks for being here!
Great service, food and environment. We will be coming back here again.
It was a great place to get something to eat
Crispiest fried chicken around. Careful with the hot though, it is rough after the first few!
Customer service just took a turn for the worst .called in a order and the girl on the phone was very rude she did not know the menu and was very condescending . I surely will be telling all my friend not to order from her what a shame the food is very good
Not the best bonchon I've had. The chicken and fries were very ubderseasoned and their famous hot sauce was a little off. Other bonchons in the area are way better. I'd suggest going to the Columbia or Ellicott City location instead.
Quick and very nice service. Always love their chicken wings.
Best damn fried chicken I've had in a long, long time.
Best chicken I've ever had in 48 states.
I enjoyed it! Always like a Thai iced tea
When we walked in, the place had a funky smell. The front windows are filthy, the floors are dirty, and our table was sticky. This was about 5 pm on a Monday, so it's not like they were just slammed by a dinner rush and didn't have time to clean. The food was just okay. The chicken in the fried rice didn't have much flavor and was very tough. My be bim bop tasted okay, but the rice was basically just steamed - it didn't get the nice crust like I've had at other restaurants. We also ordered the Korean tacos and they were good. Our waitress was busy, but very attentive and nice. I'll watch the reviews and see if the cleanliness and food quality improves before (if) I return.
I give this place one star for the decent wings. Didnt really understand the upcharge "seasonal price" for Stella beer thats all year round. Seems if they are using this tactic to charge customers more what else are they willing to do.
Super amazing salmon ginger sesame salad! Fish tasted fresh and veggies were crisp.
Excellent place , great service, great food and prices are good. Friendly staff.
When I saw Bonchon I was totally excited because I really wanted Korean food. To my disappointment there wasnt much korean food there. I ended up ordering the Kimchi Fried Rice & shared it was my friend. I thought for the price we would get enough to share. I could of eaten the entire dish myself & still been hungry. Anyone who is familiar with Korean dishes know we serve enough for left overs! The servers were nice. The place was clean. Tables were sticky because that's just how they were (the waitress explained). Needless to say, I would not go back. But overall, it was not bad, just not what I expected.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Currently seems a little understaffed so wait time was slightly high.
Good Korean chow.
Horrible. Asked for bibimbap with bulgogi, and got fire alarm hot spicy chicken. What the hell were those pinkish grey long stringy things that looked like zombi stringbeans??? The zucchini was bad. Slimy, stunk sour, and reeked. The mushrooms were in some kind of sweet marinade. Shrooms and sweets do box mix. A blob of cold spinach adjacent from a pile of sweet, shredded carrots. Oh... and topped with a fried egg. Seriously, guys. Why do people open up lousy, over-priced chains and serve substandard food???? I am not over the audacity of serving spoiled squash. I can just imagine what your fridge looks and smells like. You have gall calling yourself a Korean restaurant. Never again.
Food is good. Dine-in service has been bad recently. Waitstaff seems inattentive even when there are only a few people dining in. Forgetting really obvious things like silverware, water, plates to split apps. And the store owner needs to shell out for spotify preimum because you hear the ads like 10 times while eating your food.
Iz good chicken! Tables a bit sticky tho ☹️.
Soy garlic chicken is so yummy!
Table was sticky, rice was dry Customer service was okay The tables were awful though
Great food for my first visit. Hot, fresh and full of flavor!
I absolutely love the chicken. So crunchy and delicious.
I was quickly seated, and approached within a few minutes by a server. I ordered my full meal at this time, and the meal arrived about 35 minutes later. I ordered their fried chicken...not something I'd expect was unusual or something that would take extra prep or digging out special ingredients. The server didn't apologize for the wait until about 20 minutes in, saying "they're working on it, sorry for the wait." When the food arrived, the server said "Thanks for your patience, I assure you it's worth it." Even if it was, this was in the heat of lunch hour...so she didn't have to convince me...she had to convince my boss, who wasn't able to take her word for it. The chicken was well flavored and the breading was crisp and had a cool zing to it. The chicken itself was pretty dry, and some bits of it had the consistency of a crouton.
Place to go for wings
Beef bulgogi was bad and white rice was hard. I refused to pay for it and I'm not returning
This place is filthy. I came here when it was first opened and never came back until recently only to be even more disappointed. The Chicken is not even Bonchon. The fried rice and chap che noodles are mediocre. Very low quality food. You are jeopardizing your help if you go here.
If you never had Korean style chicken, then your missing out. It’s by far one of the best thing I ever tasted. It’s a great location with a very friendly staff. My only concern is that the quality/ quantity of the food is not very consistent.
I was craving Bonchon and realized the Canton location which was the closest to me was permanently closed. Fortunately, the Arundel Mills location wasnt too far away. The young lady at the front desk who took my pick up order this Sunday evening was very friendly and had excellent service. And the food was delicious as usual.
This places awesome I wanted to try something new and I did. I recommend everyone to come out and try this spot. There's parking all over including handicap oh, it's it's right across from Arundel Mills Mall, right next to Golden corral and Joe's eatery. This place also has a bar and their wings are
Bibimbap with spicy tofu option 12.95 Bottled Blue Moon 4.50 I sat at the sushi bar and ordered this traditional Korean dish for the first time. Basically white rice, vegetables and your choice of tofu, chicken or seafood with a spicy red sauce. Not a really thrilling dish but seemed very fresh and properly made. The hostess Brie was very sweet. The GM Alex came out and asked me how I wanted my tofu cooked and also helped me again when I asked for something too counteract the spicy sauce. Very nice and accommodating. The only negative thing I would have to say is that the bar stools are bare minimalist metal with no padding. Otherwise I would come here again, try something different and sit at a table.
Great Chicken Spicy is Spicy
The restaurant is really nice it has the best chicken ever. I will be coming to this place a lot. O really recommend coming here. SIKE this place is completely bad, the service is really bad. The bulgogi is nasty, it has only veg's and barely meat. this restaurant is bad, needs big improvement
I ordered the Sesame Ginger Salad the majority of the salad was browning iceberg lettuce. The tofu had no flavor. $10 for this salad is a joke!
Good place, nice food.
Friendly staff, excellent food and service.
Surprisingly a nice place for a quick meal and tasty!
Wings were good. And fast. There was to much of them to really have anything else
We tried Bonchon for the first time this afternoon. The food was okay, but there are much better options for Korean food in the area. The service was also lacking. Our table was unclean and the food took an unusually long time, despite us being one of only two seated tables at the time we ordered. We may give it another try, but I was generally unimpressed.
Very good happy hour specials
didn't like the fact that the manager/ owner didn't come talk to us. the food was great. next time, ill get it to go
Friendly service, generous servings, reasonable price
We love Bonchon, but this one restaurant gave my family food poisoning. Kids were throwing up and adults had very bad diarrhea. It was our first time at this location and we are not coming back.
First impressions are everything and customer service should be first and foremost!! So I took vacation from work and decided to try this place out for my first time. After having the wrong price on their door dash and being told the wrong prices, I had to drive down to find out what was going on. I asked for the manager Mingis who was very lackadaisical at the situation and showed no interest at solving the issue at hand. He sent me to the hostess and immediate walked away to check out sports highlights on tv. I was then approached an employee to go over pricing which was already established. All in all there was no apology at all for the issue and the situation. Bri (hostess) was the only bright spot, who tried to find out what could be done for my inconvenience. All in all this was a horrible first impression of a spot I was looking forward too.
Super tasty, great service and all for a good price!
It's good when the food is fresh and not dried out
Called on the phone and the girl said they did not have any kids menu. Since restaurant is not kid friendly they get 1/5 from me.
Never ate there so I have no idea what its like.
Bonchon is a great place to grab a huge portion of perfectly fried and seasoned chicken. Our meal came out quickly with super nice staff. the only downside is that this location always seems to have the AC set to freeze, and that the seasoned fries could use a little flavor improvement, as they were on the bland side. The pickled radishes here are the best!
Happy Hour here is awesome. A good selection of food and drinks at a great discount. They have Sapporo on draft which is pretty awesome.
Soy garlic chicken is the best
It was pricey, for fast food quality. Our food came at different times. It was just ok.
BE AWARE!!! FOR THOSE WHO WENT TO THE ARUNDEL MILLS LOCATION WHEN THEY FIRST, YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN FOR A TERRIBLE SURPRISE!!!! THEY NOW HAVE WING SECTION AND THEY CUT THE TENDERS IN HALF. THEY FELL ALLLLL THE WAY OFF! EVEN THE TASTE IS DIFFERENT.... I BEEN HAD! I GAVE THEM 2 STARS BECAUSE THE HOSTES WAS COOL.
I eat here every chance I get!
My first visit here. I ordered from the lunch menu, Korean Tacos (spicy chicken), and it was very good. The food was fresh, crisp and clean. There were many interesting items on the menu and I look forward to returning to try them. The only negative for me was I went in hoping for a quick lunch and the turnaround was a bit longer than I expected for 1pm.
Fast Service. Great tasting chicken. I have ordered dine in and to go and had no issues. Parking outside can be difficult due to the lot size and businesses next door.
Was a bit dissapointed in this one. I've eaten at 4 different bonchon franchises and for the most part they were pretty consistent, with the Centreville location being most tasty. For some reason the chicken and sauce here had a different flavor. The spicy wasn't nearly as spicy as the other Bonchons and they served a totally different type of seasoned fries (which barely had any seasoning on it). The service was mediocre at best. We also had to wait for them to open at 12 on a Saturday which seemed odd. I'll stick with the Ellicott City or Crofton locations.
Not bad, great staff. I was recommended the Salmon Advocato and that was fantastic. I also got the spicy chicken Korean tacos and those were ok(dont really suggested it)
Great portion with the spicy strips, the taste was on point. I'd definitely come back, this is a great choice to come a day eat.
I understand that this new restaurant is having growing pains, but this is just ridiculous. I ordered an appetizer and food, and it took 45 minutes for me to get my food. To top it off, the appetizer still never arrived and when I asked the waiter he said they were still cooking the appetizer. How does an appetizer take longer to cook than food that already took 45 minutes? I would recommend waiting a year from the date of this post to come back here and see if the service has improved.
Great staff and fantastic food! Lunch specials are competitively priced. The wings are simply delicious!
Food was ok. Wish I had tried the wings but instead we tried Korean tacos, pork buns, and a bonchon wrap. My husband said the tacos were okay. My pork buns had pork belly that just wasnt cooked to my liking. I love it to be fried hard so it melts in your mouth and this was instead not done enough for me and it was gummy like and chewy. Also super spicy which took me by surprise I must of missed that on the menu. My son had the bonchon wrap which was tolerable but it had way to much avocado it became overpowering and you really couldn't taste anything else. The hostess was nice and the place looked pretty clean and tidy but the wait was about 20-25 mins for to go which isn't terrible and thankfully we were not in a rush. If I ever go again it would only be to try the wings and hopefully they would impress me.
Bonchon in Ellicott City is one of my absolute favorite restaurants so I was very excited to try this location. The staff here was very friendly, actually a step above the Ellicott City location's staff. I ordered my usual, the soy garlic strips. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived and my plate looked surprisingly very full compared to the same order at the other location. The strips were HUGE. Unfortunately, the quality of the chicken was nowhere near that of the Ellicott City location. While the portion size was impressive, I won't be going back here due to the lower quality of the chicken.
Amazing wings; other menu items aren't as impressive
This place was horrible the food was high priced high calorie and was awful. Wish I had gone to the chipotle next door. !
Love the lunch special chicken option. Sit in or to go..
Worst!!! Slow service, not good customer service, I ordered a “Starter” only and it took 30 mins to get it after I asked was it ready. Then it was cold food at that! Smh
Had a great experience! Food and service were fantastic! I'm telling everyone to try this location!
World best chicken strips!
Fantastic! Excellent food and service!
Dislike the gamey chicken drumsticks they serve. It has really strong unpleasant smell of chicken. Average fries.
Great takoyaki, the strips are huge. If you think a small order of strips is too small, you will be wrong! Good delicious portions, crisp soft drinks and a friendly atmosphere.
Great Korean-style wings. Ought to be more generous with the garlic sauce.
Amazing chicken, highly recommend
Wonderful service!I enjoyed the bon chon soy garlic and spicy wings (And real spicy it was)
I love the restaurant but I hate having to place an order over the phone. No one ever picks up! So very annoying!!!
The food and service is great
The chicken wings are the best!
When Bonchon first opened I was extremely satisfied and stoked. After maybe the 5-6 visit I noticed a decrease in quality regarding food taste as well as the portion sides decreasing. I love Korean food, but rather not over pay for average food quality. Will return in future to see if things get better
Our second time there. We like it. They are not kidding when they say the wings are spicy.
Great service and excellent food as always
Tasty and quick lunch service. The spicy chicken strips were quite good with a little heat (despite the warnings on how spicy they were). Not a bad beer selection. I might have to check them out after work next time.
My first time here turns out my dish hadn't been fully cooked when they served it to me. I didn't discover that parts of it were stone cold until after I had started eating. Server was gone. Being my first time here not sure if this is the way dish was meant to be (if so I didn't like it). When server did make it back I asked and it turns out this is not how it is supposed to be at all. They took my dish back to redo it I thought. Nope, they just mixed it up and heated it all up to super hot. I didn't gripe about this, just paid bill and left. However what I would expect is that they either cook me a fresh meal, or offer some kind of compensation.
We went there as a group of 10. Ordered different varieties of food - bibimbap, chicken wings of almost all flavors, pork buns, some salad and soju of all flavors. All of us loved the food. Their ice-cream offer is so good and worth trying.
I walked in not knowing what to expect and ordered the bulgogi soft taco appetizer to go. Not only did it come sooner than expected but was delicious... I will definitely be back and add this to my list of lunch spots.
Must try with Tacos and spicy wings
The service is nice , polite server and quick food. However the people in the kitchen seem to not know the true recipe. The Korean fried rice was not made correctly, drenched in sweet sauce ?? The chicken was good but I believe they used to much sauce as well. The hyattsville location is so much better #toomuchsauce
Service was great but the food had no flavor or salt. There was an overabundance of heat with no flavors to back it up. The green and garlic zucchini fries were just alright, the coating was really thick for the size of the zucchini inside. Over all not bad but I, personally, wouldn't go back.
The capitol hill dc location is much better.
I really like this place. The chicken is fantastic. Be careful.of the spicy chicken. It is good but spicy. The waiters and waitresses are all pleasant.
Service was oh, had to ask for silverware and napkins, food was decent, bathrooms weren't clean at all!
Great service and food.
Food was good and a variety of lunch specials were available
Loved this place! Traveling through and had never been here but was quite impressed. Our waitress was Jessica and she was very friendly and prompt. The fried wings were so good! Much bigger than I thought they would be and a good deal during happy hour. Bathroom was very clean, vibe was nice, food was great.
Food is good. Music is intrusively loud, hard to hold a conversation across the table. Staff was rather inattentive, forgot to bring my food until asked, didn't check with table until we asked for a check.
Not really good curb appeal with the person in charge of answering phones and seating guests cant respond to you because hes got a mouth full of food and when he thinks hes capable spits food particles everywhere. Mmmmmm
Chicken is good but not the other dishes.... potions are small. Took a while to get my sons orders.
Love the food.
I am from the South, born and raised on chicken. Bonchon's chicken is balanced, flavorful and always cooked fresh to order! I have to have this chicken EVERY TIME I visit Baltimore!! They have spoiled me!!
Store hours are inaccurate. They close at 2045 not 2100.
Im on a tour of DC from my middleschool, and we had 12:10 to 1:00 to eat. We ordered a bibimbap at 12:15 and the bibimbap came out at 1:00 rushingly because we forces them to. The bibimbap was clearly there just ready but didnt give it to us. We re not allowed to bring food in the bus so we had to trash it. Bibimbap doesnt take 40 minutes to make and serve... the food wasnt even top quality. And the service was trashh
Love their food and wonderful service. I can dine in or pick up food and I know it will be awesome.
Love this place, the food is great plus they are big on the world cup!!
i wish i could leave 0 star. terrible food and terrible service. my food was COLD and extremely salty. The only good thing is my beer which is not made by them. I have nothing against bonchon chicken. in fact i love bonchon chicken in ellicott city(everything is awesome). i live very close to this place but they were always closed when i went there. i was always wondering why this place was always closed or closed early. yesterday they closed at 9pm and the ellicott city one closed at midnight. now i know why. they should be closed permanently for good. avoid this place as much as you can. terrible terrible terrible.
Actually 3.5 stars. First visit. Had the Bulgogi and rice. Good but not necessarily overwhelming. Will go back and sample more of the menu.
Service was great. Good is just ok.
Their chicken is famous for their tasty glaze. The atmosphere of this restaurant is lively, calm and simple. What's great to see king sized chicken served here.
Great Korean chicken place. Almost like 'crack' chicken because you can't get enough! The chicken is light and crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy inside. It come is two flavors, soy garlic (my favorite) and (very) spicy. Your choice of drumsticks, wings, or tenders... They all come with a side of Korean-style pickles. A small order of tenders is 10 pieces! Other sides are optional, but I recommend the coleslaw. Other Korean options are available such as Bibimbop and Bulgogi, but this is a chicken place and those dishes are not as good as the ones served in a traditional Korean restaurant. Overall I would give four stars for the food, but service can be a bit slow at this location. They will always bring the chicken out quick, but other items may take longer and you might be full of the chicken before the rest of your order arrives. If you haven't had Korean style fried chicken wings, come check it out!
Now I know, Koreans make better fried chicken than my gma!
Great customer service but too small, great food
The chicken and sauce they use on it is very spicy. I asked for things to be only a bit spicy though. Brown rice should be an option instead of white rice.
I went to Bonchon to try the takoyaki, which could be described as a Japanese hush puppy. The batter is fried into ball shapes with a chunk of octopus inside. This order is served on a bed of shredded cabbage and bonito flakes, and cups of katsu sauce and Japanese mayo on the side. The insides in the takoyaki were nice and hot, and the octopus was very tasty! The sweet mayo juxtaposes with the tangy katsu sauce, which enhances the crispiness of the takoyaki and its creamy interior. I don't recommend eating the bonito flakes unless you love the concentrated taste of fish. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because of how long I had to wait to get the order. The food is great, the service was all right and could be better.
A little slow, but good food.
Food was good. Nice to have reliable Korean food casually. They are still new and ironing out the kinks but good experience overall.
Food was good. Wings are a must try. Ordered half and half on the wings. Both types were tasty. Service was ok but wings came out fast. Fries took a while but were really good. Bibimbap was also tasty.
Chicken katsu and takoyaki are officially my favorites for now
I'm being generous with two stars. Stick with the fried chicken
Strips needs more sauce . we ordered regular fries , thinking it will have salt on it
The spicy chicken at this restaurant is indeed just that, very very spicy. The service was great the prices were very reasonable and I will definitely be going back.
Awesome food. Wait staff can often times be inattentive when it comes to refills, which is especially annoying when eating spicy food and you have an empty cup. Other than that, the food is great and the staff is very friendly. Good selection of Korean cuisine to try something different, but the chicken is where it's at.
I dined here with my siblings, I was eager to try some Korean food. I got the Bull Dak and I wasn’t impressed with the flavor (just my taste) but my sisters loved it — however, they forgot my rice cakes at they had to bring it our separately. The service was great too.
Great tasting chicken and chicken potstickers. Just wish they had a choice of smaller portions.
Food+service that are consistently excellent! I even made a friend or two there. They crush it!
