My family and I are visiting D.C. and decided to eat late. We ran in to an order menue for take out. The order menue said fast delivery, that is far from it. They said 45 min, and its about 1 hr 30min and still no food. My wife called them and said they were on there way and that was 30 mins ago. Not happy with the service.

Last night i ordered some wings & fries and it took them a hour, when usually it only takes them about 25 - 30 mins just to bring my food and when i got it, the fries were all soggy and i was highly disappointed about this, because usually their fries are fresh & crispy even the chicken wings weren’t that fresh either it felt like they had the food just sitting. So that's why I’m giving these guys what i gave them. Me and my fam have been ordering from them for years now so that’s why this really through me off .

Overcharged me and then was rude about it. Lied and told me that the sales tax was 10% when it’s really 6%. Then tried to charge me tax for each item! Would not recommend this place whatsoever

I walk by this place every day on the way to work, and it's standard, tasty american Chinese food. The first time was great. I was having a 15-person dinner party one night and knew wanted Chinese take out. I walked in after work and talked with Sally, at the cash register. She was awesome. I ordered 3-4 servings of 6 or so dishes because the party platter would have just been too much food and too expensive. Sally worked with me to make sure all the food was ready on time, the portions would be enough for the party, and that it was in my budget. When i came to pick up, she was meticulous, rechecking each item from the other and any of the little extras that came with it. The food was exactly what we needed for the party, and we even had leftovers. She was packing everything fresh from the wok and it was great! The next time i ate from here, I ordered delivery. The food was just as good. My only two critiques-- some of the veggie dishes have thick sauces, and the fried chicken dishes do have a lot of breading. But when you're looking for something starchy, carby, saucy, it hits the spot.

If I could give NO STARS, I would. Horrible service. I had made an order for delivery. I ordered pork fried rice and chicken lo mein. The delivery person calls me from my hotel lobby DEMANDING I come down to get the order. I get down there to collect my order and he takes off with my receipt. I called the restaurant to get the order rectified and they argue with me telling me I didn't order the lo mein, even though I'm looking at my Eat24 app and the digital receipt. I then asked what are they going to do to fix the problem - silence. I asked again and then stated if they weren't going to fix the problem, I was going to call my credit card company. They literally said "okay, whatever" and hung up on me. I would NOT recommend this place at all based on poor service. Sad really since the pork fried rice is great.

I ordered food at 10:45. Delivery estimate of 45 min to 1 hour. At 12:00 I call for an update. They say it's on the way. At 12:15 I get a call: it'll be half an hour. Currently 12:45. Or 2 hours since I ordered. I wanted general taos chicken and live 1 mile away. This is unacceptable. I don't care how good the food is, 2 hours to get a very simple order 5 minutes away is not okay.

Don't order any shrimp dishes. It had a weird taste it wasn't fresh. The egg rolls were pink inside with fake pieces of cabbage.

And they deliver! What more do you want? The vegetable egg foo yung is yummy and large portions! Won ton soup is cheap and has lots of dumplings. Everything we've tried is tasty and plentiful. They throw in a free soda if over $20 and don't charge for delivery. Better than a lot of China Town greasy spoons! And they DO ACCEPT credit cards. Google review

The food was rotten. Literally rotten, they served spoiled food. The food quality was also abysmal, I could barely find the meat underneath the soggy breading and all the sauces were nearly water, but I'm pretty sure that next to the spoiled food that nothing else really matters. I just looked up the inspection reports, in July 2013 they were shut down due to 19 violations.

They are our neighbors and appreciate they keep us so well fed on days when it's to late or exhausting to cook. Tip: They will make almost anything a dinner special (rice, entree and egg roll) if you ask nicely. Inexpensive, delicious chinese food made by wonderful people. What could be better?!

Original: 8 June 2010 I just finished eating their General Tso's -- among the best I've had in the DC/MD area. Makes me glad I just moved in a block away! Update: 17 Sept 2010 The last two times I've gone, the General Tso's has been horrid... the sauce & exterior of the chicken was great; but inside it seems dearly undercooked. I may try it one more time just to make sure... but 3 strikes and that'll be it.

Bottom line: Decent American-Chinese food to satisfy your Chinese cravings. A notch above most Chinese carryout/delivery joints in the Shaw/Logan Circle area. General Tso's Chicken: 3/5 Large serving. I asked for extra spicy, but the sauce was still too sweet for my taste. Pork Lo Mein: 4/5 Really good, but slightly oily. Delivery: 3/5 One hour delivery on a Friday night. Food arrived hot. Par for the course for DC Chinese delivery.

On occasion I order from an inexpensive Chinese place ,so no preconceived ideas about getting a great or even decent meal . That being said and the bar set very low , the food can only be described as inedible. Took 1 bite and noticed no flavor to cover up old, probably bad chicken .Awful ! Spit it out and would not even feed it to my dog !

I'm half Taiwanese. This is the best take out Chinese place in town. The food is made fresh right as you order it and the staff is more than friendly. This is a must try if you like good food.

Typical Chinese delivery food. I'm staying at a nearby hotel and had it delivered. The quality was about the same as my Chinese place back home, but the quantity was certainly less. BEWARE they list 24 oz drinks on their menu, but I was delivered a 16.9 oz drink. That's pretty annoying they reduced it 30%. They need to update their website to reflect the size or actually deliver what people order! Normally I would give 3* for average food, but reducing it 1 for the 30% reduction in drink.
