Very disappointed. I was looking forward to trying the food here but last night after being seated at the table I was not greeted by anyone at all. After about 15 minutes I informed a hostess and she sent the server over. Once the server came over he seem frazzled and didn’t even ask what we wanted to drink. He then disappeared and was helping tables around us but not even acknowledging me and my boyfriend. Another 10-15 minutes went by and we just walked out. I am so incredibly disappointed and this is not fine dining quality service.

I could have sworn I left a review. Maybe I had on Facebook. I used to work the valet in little Italy and never had once stepped inside of Aldo’s. I guess it’s like the street urchin becomes the... I dono. Anyways. Very accommodating to the point that a rose under my request was added to my table for my girlfriend’s birthday. Great service. Great food. Thank you.

Food was just incredibly good. It took 30 minutes (with reservation and being on time) to sit us down at a table and the waiter automatically added a 20% tip on our bill. (I always tip 20% anyway). Are little details like those what will make us chose a different high end italian restaurant next time.

Fantastic ambience and food. Chef Sergio Vitale has curated an amazing menu of Southern Italian cuisine. Apps- try the shrimp scampi Salads- caprese or mista Pasta- all are amazing... try the gnocchi (off menu) Entrees- sane as above... all are amazing. Personally I love the tournados Dessert- yes please!

Aldo’s is a gem in Little Italy. Father Aldo and son Sergio make you feel like your are a guest in their home. The preparations are authentic with an exacting attention to detail. The service is impeccable. Make sure you ask for a tour of the cellar. Aldo renovated the restaurant by hand. Great spot for celebrity sightings.

Although I've been dining at Aldo's for MANY years, it didn't take more than a few visits for it to feel like home. A family-owned restaurant, Aldo and his sons Sergio and Allesandro make everyone feel welcome, cared for and as an extension of their family. And THE FOOD!! So exquisite and cooked to perfection - every single time. My mother spent a month in Italy and couldn't find a better meal. If you haven't tried Aldo's yet, that really needs to change.

Aldo's is a must when I'm in Baltimore! Love the surroundings and the food is out if this world. It's in the Little Italy section which is a must see any way. So get to Little Italy area and head to Aldo's!

Not great, maybe this was place was good at one time, but clearly is not interested in changing with the times. Everything was old a clunky and tired. Restaurant was not very clean, the paper towel basket in the ladies room had years if dust, and some "dirt" behind the door makes me wonder if there is a mouse problem here. Our waiter could not pronounce the specials. The cheese in my caprese was out of the refrigerator cold, not rich and creamy, my pasta was salty and oily. And when my husband ordered a martini with blue cheese olives I think they put salad dressing in regular olives...

Uhhhh...hit and miss on the food and subsequently not worth the high end prices. Very friendly and courteous staff and pleasant atmosphere as expected in a high end restaurant...but food was very disappointing. The shrimp bisque was salty and lacked and pleasant flavor (we normally love bisque soups) so my wife didnt eat it and after tasting it I passed on it too. The lobster on my fettuccine was so mushy that I was afraid to finish eating it...not sure what would cause lobster to be mushy like jello... but it wasnt normal. The actual fettuccini was good and my wife thought her crab cake was very good. Considering the pricey menu these type of results just make it a very poor choice.

Aldo’s is very uniquely authentic Italian food worth trying. Do your taste buds a favor! If you are with a group I suggest ordering meals to share because there are too many delicious meals to pick from. Our group did this and glad I got to sample multiple culinary delights. Can’t wait to visit Baltimore again. By the way save room for desert you have never tasted cannoli and Tiramisu as good as this!

Been in Baltimore for a few days with my girlfriend and daughter and hadn't been to impressed with the food after a few high-end dinners. But then we found Aldo's. Unbelievable food, atmosphere, and the service was top notch. We had shrimp scampi, pasta carbonara and burrata rigitoni. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Can't wait to go back.

My boyfriend made reservations for Valentine’s Day weekend. Kind of strange that there was plenty of open tables on a Friday night. But I guess that’s a testimate to the service and food. I wouldn’t know because we left before the food came. I asked to substitute the spinach for another vegetable and the waiter had a confused look on his face. Wouldn’t reccommend. Awkward seating far away for couples.

I dined at Aldos solo at the bar for Restaurant week. I had dined there a few years ago for my birthday and loved the food and ambiance. It is pricey restaurant week is a great time to go to celebrate with someone special. Ate here for my wife's birthday. Food was outstanding and so was the overall service! The cocktails were good. Would definitely eat here again.

Aldo’s was a wonderful experience. The food melted in our mouth. Fresh ingredients with lots of bold flavors and true authentic Italian cuisine. Exquisite dining venue tucked away in Little Italy, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. Our bus Boys always made sure our glasses were full and we had a smile on our face. We ate the restaurant week menu and were blown away! Most importantly, the olives we started off with were some of the best Olives we've ever had. So much flavor throughout the night and the canoli for dessert really sealed the deal!

Had our company holiday party there and it was fabulous. Wine at the bar was excellent with a great bartender! Upstairs in the library, they served the 24 of us with fantastic food, kept my wine glass full, and 3 hours passed seemingly in minutes. We are stuffed and delighted. The service staff were great! We met Aldo's son while waiting for the valet to bring our car around, very nice young man, cute too! We'll be back.

We took my elderly parents here for an exceptional dining experience, and the restaurant treated the folks like royalty! We requested a quiet table and were given a separate dining room. Table service was superior and more than satisfied my discerning parents. Our meals were of a superior quality with every one enjoying Mediterranean Sea bass, beef filet and veal. A great choice for an impressive dining experience.

We were part of a private party in a small room. I don't know if that would affect the experience. The building is so (for lack of a better word) cool. Atmosphere = 10/10 The staff were helpful, attentive, and attempted to be discreet. (We might have been difficult.) Service = 10/10 There were 4 courses, all of which were amazing. I had Rigatoni Bolognese and it was delicious. So delicious that I am still telling people about it weeks later. I don't know what they do differently, but the food is incredible. Food = 11/10. Highly recommend.

Aldo’s has the best Italian food in the state of Maryland and the service is great too!!! The wine cellar is ideal for private dinners. I love the eggplant tower and the rigatoni bolognese. The white clam sauce is loaded with clams, more than I’ve ever seen at other restaurants. At the end of the meal, enjoy the homemade creamy limoncello made on the premises. You never know who you will see dining at Aldo’s.

Aldo's will exceed your expectations on both a culinary and service level. As an event planner, I was looking for a space for 30+ people on the night before Preakness. This is one of the busiest nights of the entire year in Baltimore as the city is sold out on hotels and restaurants are packed. From the initial contact to the final bill, everything was perfect. They were accommodating to let us choose a menu to service the needs of the large group. We were not forced to choose off a pre-planned menu. They made sure the specialty wine the client wanted was in stock in sufficient quantities. The food was delicious! Shrimp scampi, antipasta, many veal dishes including the osso bucco and of course the pastas! If you don't have their carbonara, you have missed one of life's great pleasures. It's a tough call between that and the Bolognese, you can't go wrong. Sergio, Margaret and the entire staff knocked it out of the park!

This year alone, at Aldo’s, I’ve had a romantic dinner, a family dinner, a dinner with an old college friend, a business dinner, and a large group dinner for 57 guests. At each dinner, the food and wine was amazing, and Aldo’s service was impeccable and perfectly tuned to the purpose of the evening. This is one of the best restaurants in Baltimore and the best Italian Ristorante in Maryland, and they’ve earned my return visits over and over again.
