Here you will see the information of people who are consuming the products of 9th Street Taphouse Bar & Grille (Restaurant) in the state of Maryland.
At the present this firm has a score of 3.7 stars out of 5 and this score has been calculated on 210 reviews.
As you can see its rating is very good, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we can think that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Bar & grill.
We sat down and were immediately informed of 4 things they didn't have, and if we wanted barbecue chicken it would be 25 minutes. I asked fir a beer that is listed online, and they said they've never heard of it, and it must be at another location.... We went elsewhere
Just went in and left no sooner than the waitress came to the table. Had our child, just turned 4 y/o, with us, she has a limited palate of foods she will eat. We had cheese, turkey pepperoni and applesauce for her and the 3 adults were going to have our first try at Taphouse. Waitress said our kid couldn't have outside food, the chef would get upset if he saw it. I get this "unwritten" policy, but for a 4 y/o? I wasn't going to order something that she wasn't going to eat just to throw away. We were going to order full meals, drinks, etc , so the tab wouldn't have been small. Rather than my wife and child leave, as she offered, allowing mom and me to eat, it was decided not to give this place our patronage. This will include any Taphouse location. There's obviously plenty of choices in OC and we've been to other places that didn't get bent about a young child having snacks. I'd give a zero if I could.
Good, fair priced food. We tried it the first time when we had a voucher from the hotel, but we went back. Breakfast is really good too.
Went for lunch. Got hummus pate. Loaded with hummus, which is a little thicker than I'm used to, so it reminded me more of falafel. Butter garlic parmasan wings were great. Service was friendly. Prices arw reasonable. Place wasn't crowded. Wish they had more seafood but we will definitely go back again.
Fantastic food. Try the fish tacos!! Great friendly staff. This is a must go to place!!!
Great Food and great service too.
Very good food. It was so busy when we were in but both food and service was great. Highly recommended If you are in OC ; dont miss it.
Really nice food tried scrapple it's so good the waiter was really cool too
Great bartender, good wings and cold beer.
Expensive for what you get.
We got in late Friday night to try this place out that was pretty close to our hotel & was a bit of a disappointment. The outside deck/bar is a very nice touch to make the dining experience great & fun & the staff is definitely friendly and helpful. The biggest issue I had was prices on beer menu are non existent, so we figured it be normal market prices of what other bars charge but our 4 draft/craft beers was twice the charge of our food bill ($48). Thats how they get you by not showing what each cost of the beer is & be shocked by the bill later on while you're drunk and trying to enjoy yourself. On the plus side though, their AHI TUNA NACHOS & WINGS were very very tasty. Unfortunately due to us getting there at 10:30pm they had a very limited menu & you could only order appetizers & wings. Their hot sauce was probably the best thing I experienced there!
Chill and inexpensive spot. Has a great view of the airplane sky writers and other Beach Shows. Great selection of beers. Get the Hummas! It was very filling. Service is.... very...very...slow but our waiter was very very nice.
Interesting place with 5 dollar lunch specials.
Bad food been there 2 times poor service
A buddy of mine and I went there around 930pm. We sat down at a table and were waiting for someone to take our order. 45 minutes had past and every waitress and waiter walked by us atleast 2 times each and not one of them even bothered to say hi. We got up and left. Terrible service. Was on 7/24/16
They had a great crab dip pretzel and great fries. Prices were reasonable and service was great.
Went to new location on 4th and Boardwalk. DO NOT GO!!! There is a reason you can get a table. Chicken wings served with blood in center, 7 of 10 entrees wrong or dried up from sitting under warmer too long. Tossed salads were physically warm top to bottom. When we complained to manager, David, he first responded with "I don't have time to talk to you about this". When my husband asked to speak with him outside the manager threatened to exercise his ability to have us physically removed from premises. I understand this 4th street location opened just a few days ago, but the extreme lack of customer service accompanied by poor quality control of food means we will not be back.
Absolutely terrible...service was bad from the beginning and waitress knew nothing abt the food or drinks. But what’s worse is when we were about to order drinks the bar tender came over and analyzed my Id and my friends thoroughly and then told me he couldn’t serve me BUT could serve my friend and said he didn’t trust my Id??? I’m 21 and he had no proof I was underage. We walked out, absolutely ridiculous
Great place
Good food. Good waiter. Been here couple times. Nothing fancy.
Horrible service
Food is ok but if you have to use the bathroom good luck.. . Nasty
We had the crab cake and the tap house wings, both tasted amazing. I will say the price was a little steep for what you got but it was directly off the boardwalk.
Decent food.. fast and friendly service.. drinks are reasonable cheap and they have lots of beer on tap.
Overpriced to service is not that good
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and our server, Patrick, was very cool and fun. Medium priced food, but very delicious. We went there twice because it was so good. Highly recommend you try it. You won't be disappointed.
The hours kept changing of when they were closing. My wife's soup came out cold and the waitress was very rude. The only that was decent was the crabby pretzels and even then they only give you 3 for 14 dollars. The food is over priced for the quality they give you. Will not be visiting that location again.
Great time
Service isn't the best but friendly nonetheless. For a table of 5 we had multiple servers and busboys take our order, clear the table and provide the check. While I was there there was overflow in the restroom and although the floor was soaked there was no sign outside the door. My feet were soaked. Do not over the caprese salad bc it will be a huge disappointment. It did have the traditional mozzarella & tomato but it was more like a huge bed of lettuce with cherry tomatoes and store bought shredded mozzarella rolled/smashed into small balls and thrown into the lettuce base. I have NEVER seen a caprese salad done this way and since it was my entree I was extremely disappointed especially for the price I was paying $12-$14. Overall, I was not happy with the food or overall care for the restaurant. The only thing improving the experience was the live band.
Love this place, I go every year when I am on vacation, The other location that's on the bay side is my favorite, but I love the food, the shrimp especially.
I had a wonderful breakfast but it was pricey. But hey, I'm at the beach what else would I expect!
Food is mediocre. Kitchen served food quick, although the server is lackadaisical. Fairly clean eating area, but tables are sticky. The bill includes 20% gratuity, which in my opinion, creates a lack of incentive to give good service. Overall, this is a good place for a quick bite of you don't know where to go.
Love this place, always a great time, good food, and service
Delicious! Nice environment, friendly staff, and delicious food!!! Mushroom burger w/ Old Bay chips....YUMMMMM :P I forgot to take a before picture, so here’s the mid-way picture.
Great breakfast . Crabby Eggs Benedict. Chipped beef gravy. Yum !
Very impressed with the food, service not so much. Went for lunch we were practically the only people on the patio and it took the waitress about 10 minutes if not longer to come back out to take our food order. Portion sizes were phenomenal! I got the Chicken Caprese sandwich, the chicken breast was huge and tender and you can tell the pesto that goes with this is fresh and made in house! My husband got the Taphouse Tacos with Catfish and said they were equally impressive! Will definitely return just will probably sit inside next time.
I liked it here it was clean and nice and the food was wonderful I would definitely come back again thank you!
We enjoyed every single part of our meal here! Everything we ate we all enjoyed. The buffalo chicken dip and cheesesteak were absolutely amazing. The guys I were with enjoyed the wings. Our waiter was super sweet. Also it was super quiet even though it was a weekend. I highly recommend this place!!!
Abysmal. There are plenty of great places to eat on the boardwalk. This isn't one of them. Waited an hour for our food before deciding to leave. Staff doesn't know what their doing- on a slow day.
Just spent $100 on the worst meal ever for 5 people. They charged .50 for mayo on a cheeseburger although my nephew had ONLY cheese no other condiments. We ordered crab balls that were undercooked and asked for cocktail sauce. Another $1.00. Ordered beef hoagie special. No sauce. Asked if there was an Au Jus. He didn't even know what it was. Dry and horrible with cauliflower on. Just weird. Their Homemade chips were burnt. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Love it here! A most go to when i visit oc!
Love this place great breakfast lots of food and every morning all you can drink mimosa's and Bloody Mary's.
Very disappointing. Poor service n mix up with orders.
Kayli the server/bartender absolutely made our experience top notch. We ordered custom drinks and she went out of her way to make them exactly as we wanted. The place has great local beers on tap, games on the big screen, and a great local atmosphere.
The Buffalo Dip was amazing.
Good food and friendly attentive staff. Quiet during the winter. Plenty of TVs turned to a variety of sporting events.
Horrible service,waitress unaware of surrounding
Awesome service and selection of craft beers. Nice little hideaway spot to relax and sit in ac.
Security checked my id, over 50 but okay with it, greeted by hostess who sat us immediately. It was not busy, 6-8 empty tables around us. Sat for 10 minutes and asked hostess if we could please get a server, she spoke to one of the servers who looked over and then ignored us another 10 minutes. We got up to leave, told the hostess we were leaving, she apologized but no service for 20 minutes when they are not busy??
Good food, friendly people, and the best cleanest beach area I have been at my hole life.
Really good wings!
Service was really slow, food was cold, then asked for bill waited another 15minutes for her to bring it.
The Ciders are a must try
Absolutely delicious food! Very friendly server! I recommend the crab mac n cheese!
First visit there food was awesome chef Mike c great chef had the chance to speak with him great person. Family atmosphere, will definitely visit again
Breakfast is always good. Best breakfast in Ocean City. Need to come back for dinner.
Service a little slow. Limited menu.
Very good food
Stayed at the Paradise Plaza Inn last weekend and we went to the Tap House on its hard to find 2nd floor location late one night. As a hotel guest I had a $10 off coupon for every night I stayed. If you are not an hotel guest, there are many better places to go to have a drink or a meal. This is definitely a dive bar. There was no table or food service, no waiters or waitresses. I heard the bartender yell to a room service guy, "tell 'em we just have wings!" We had a margarita and a beer. Both good. The bartender was impaired, whether from fatigue or from something else, I couldn't say, but he was rude about checking my 26 year old son's ID. Best to avoid this dump unless you want to use your hotel coupon for booze.
Excellent service and the food was delicious! The two favourites were the Crabby Pretzel and the Ahi Tuna Nachos! Compliments to Chef Mike and the bartenders Bob, Woody, and Dan. Thank you for your great service and entertainment!!
Great food, very pricey but worth the money.
The fries here are took good
Great service
Super friendly staff and cool atmosphere but if I could recommend something to the owner it would be invest in better quality food... Frozen hamburger patties that are fast cooked? No good. Also got sick from worst crab cake I've ever had. Sorry but the food speaks for itself and it's terrible.
Very nice happy hour. Can't beat a place with $2 natty boes. The food is excellent. Some of the best fish and chips around. If you stay overnight at the paradise plaza, which is attached, you get a $10 voucher for 9th St taproom each night you stay. You can use the voucher on food and drink.
Good food strong drinks nuff said
The chef Mike, bartender Woody, and Patrick are all so attentive. The food especially the crabby balls, the wings, and cream of crab soup are all delicious. The crushes are the best I've had this far.
Breakfast was the BOMB!! The blueberry pancakes (fresh fruit) are AMAZING!! No turkey products available, but the ham was pretty good! Eggs Benedict - crab and a side of home fries, seem to be the family favorite!! Enjoy. We will definatley be going back!!
The tap House is iconic. Get some pancakes. Fish in chips sandwich too.
Friendly staff and delicious food
Will just say we will not be going back.
Great breakfast lunch and dinner in the Paradise Plaza hotel, and delicious beers and cocktails!
Just one of our favorite Taphouse locations!! Our goto favorite night out for fabulous food with the best service in Town!
Very disappointed by the quality of the food. We visited this restaurant on September 27th around 5pm: 2 adults and a child. Looks like they were understaffed and the hostess was a waitress and a cook at the same time. My steamed shrimp were overlooked and did not appear fresh. My mussels were overlooked as well. My kid's food was ok, but his apple juice was diluted with water to the point that he refused to drink it ( never happened before). Fish tacos were not bad, but not great. I will never go back to this place.
Very good..!!!
Food was cold, dry, everything tasted the same; like everything was coated with old Bay seasoning. Very underwhelming to say the least.
Great craft beer selection, right off the boardwalk!
I went to order food and take back to my room. The place was really nice and neat and the food was very good
Crab cake sandwich may have been the best I ever ate. And the bacon on the BLT was incredible.
Long wait for food and above average price for average food. The staff is really friendly at the 9th St location and they do have local beers on tap. The food wait times and presentation need attention.
Food was delicious and services was fast, and friendly.
Beer flights are fun but menu is limited.
Great crab soup
Fantastic service n food crab balls n honey old bay wings are amazing
Do not recommend going to the tap house, especially if you're really hungry. Service here is extremely slow, especially in the morning and the food is not worth the wait. When we visited the taphouse after waiting over an hour for some food, the waitress came back with a wrong order and one of the plates had hair in them. So two dishes had to be refired and by the time they were back everybody else had already finished eating. Very bad experience at the taphouse
Last year I had breakfast at the 4th street location and enjoyed my breakfast. This year I tried the 9th Street location. The veggie scramble was to include three eggs with seasonal veggies and provolone cheese. It was delivered to the table without provolone and had jalapeños in the mix with no mention of the hot peppers on the menu. The cheese on top of the breakfast cheesesteak looked like it came out of last night’s steamer. The staff was friendly but not very experienced. I will not return.
Last weekend for the season... Get in for your happy hour all day specials..
We were lured in by the signs that say "Nothing over $8" which was a total scam as there were literally no items under $8, including appetizers. Service was incredibly slow, but everyone in our group of 12 were satisfied with the food which was generally worth the price. The winds were very good because they were JUMBO and not breaded like most shore wings. Sauce on the buffalo wasn't that great but for OCMD I'd say the wings are among the best in town.
This place has great crab cakes for dinner, the best chicken bbq burger, yummy waffle fries, and breakfast was great too. I recommend!
Only been here once but the bartender was great. Food was very good. Drink selection was good. Would go again.
Good food. Mediocre service.
Had great time, people were real nice,we'll be back again
Great people and delicious breakfast and lunch!
Absolutely amazing service. The food is some of the best I’ve had in OC. The bartender was amazing :D
Food is good
Good food and atmosphere
Great food and beer
breakfast was good. crabby pretzel was good. I went in November, the winter menu is small not much to choose from so that was disappointing.
Great food amd server
Stopped by for a quick drink and discovered it was Happy Hour. Great service and very friendly bartender.
Terribly overpriced food for the quality and downright awful service. Trust me, burn your money somewhere more worthwhile.
There was a hair in my food
Great bar food. Good selection of beers on tap as well. Also offers quality salads to make you feel better about yourself.
Woody is the best
Bartender was polite and seated us immediately. Sever however was rude and gave the impression she didn't want to wait on us. We were a party of 9 with that being said we left after looking at what was called a menu which had only maybe 2 decent things on it
The girl who served us was okay but the food was really disappointing. Got fish and chips but the chips where over cooked and the fish was literally about 4 inches long and maybe 2 inches wide if i am being generous. None of it was worth the $40 I paid for it.
Awesome! Jeanie is a fantastic bartender. She's friendly and she always remembers a good customer.
Went here this past Tuesday for lunch with some friends. The atmosphere was just like your typical bar and grill. Nothing too special about the place. The waitress who helped us was very nice and friendly and our food came out pretty quickly. So that was good. My burger that I ordered was dry. I asked for it to be cooked medium well done, so there should have been a little pink in the middle. The burger looked like it was cooked like I wanted it, but when I took a bit, it was dry. No juicy flavor at all. It was disappointing to say the least. You can have the nicest wait staff in the world, but if the food is subpar, I probably won't be coming back to your restaurant.
Terrible service and terrible drinks. Ordered a beer that came with more foam than beer. Then ordered a pinacalada that taste like frozen salt water. Server acted like nothing was wrong.
best mahi tuna sandwich i have ever had!!!!
Fantastic!..Service was excellent and great food. Breakfast, lunch or dinner—ALL delicious.
decent little bar just off the boardwalk. nice happy hour specials
Staff went above and beyond. Great place to relax and enjoy a brew.
Went with my family and didnt have a great experience. I ordered a chili burger then the waiter came back after a few later and said they didnt have chili. No big deal so i ordered something else. Then our food came but my wife and daughters food was missed torally. Was told that our order got mixed up with another table. Their food finally came after everyone else was finished eating.
Nice bar right of the boardwalk. Friendly staff and a good selection of craft beers. We just stopped for drinks and a snack but the food menu had a nice selection.
Great food. Everything on the menu is delicious. Staff are very friendly.
Please and I urge you do not eat here. The service is bad the management is even worse. We had food that was undercooked we told the waiter and he said let me get the manager. Then the fun began...
We are in Ocean City for a week, we are staying right across the street from the 9th street Taphouse stopped in for Dinner, I have to say that the food and the service was truly AMAZING, so good that we came back the next morning, and we were not disappointed, Breakfast was just as GOOD, if you are coming to Ocean City don't miss out on 9th Street Taphouse, because you will regret it!
Best ever, great bartender
Great food...family loved it!
Service was excellent and my drink was great but ..... Prices are insane!!! It was 2 adults and 2 kids and never has our bill been over $60....especially concidering my son got a small side serving like container of KRAFT mac&cheese and a little container of apple sauce ( like u get to pack lunches ) ...for $8 ....ridiculous!!!
I’m very rarely surprised or left speechless by establishments nowadays I feel like I’ve almost seen it all. But today I was absolutely stunned and appalled by the service here, right off the bat it was awful everyone we encountered before we sat at the bar was standoffish and cold but that’s not what blew me away. I sit down at the bar and the bartender came up and just stared at me (didn’t say what can I get you or anything like that) I said hey can I get “so and so” and he literally walked away to someone 4 feet away and greeted and took their order without saying a word. Okay so let’s try again I grab his attention and go to order an beer I’d never had before, and when I questioned him about a particular beer he looked at me like I was stupid and said direct quotes as he pointed at the menu aggressively “What can’t you read?” It wasn’t a joking manner it wasn’t anything but lack of patience and the lack of customer service know how.Absolutely stunned and embarrassed I ordered a basic beer and quietly walked away but I cannot even fathom how someone like this is their bartender and reflects extremely poorly on the establishment I will never be back and cannot so anything but urge everyone reading this to do the same. Thanks for reading!
Awesome crab pretzel but very slow service
I love the fish tacos!
Nice place but some of the servers are rude to tourists
Love this place! The food, the servers, the atmosphere... AWESOME!
Took 20 minutes just to get waters
Great service and food 10/10 stop here
No stars it deserved but it has to have one in order to get this review....it was HORRIBLE, service sucked , I had to ask for a server an he said it wasn't his table, 3 servers an all of them didn't want to make money
The menu listed online for this place is NOT what you will find in the earlier months. For my visit on the first weekend of April, they had a "Spring Menu" that was very small and uninteresting. My girlfriend is a vegetarian, and their Veggielicious sandwich sounded really great for her, but even something as easy as that was not offered. I had two rooms in the attached hotel that both gave me $10 coupons, so $20 for each of the days of my stay, and it still was not worth it to eat here except for breakfast. Plenty of beer options, but dinner was out.
After waiting over an hour for our meal. Everything was burned. The bacon was black. The rolls were scorched and sweet potato fries way over cooked. Very disappointed with this experience.
Wings & shrimp are well worth the visit. Woody, Bartender/waiter makes the experience enjoyable.
They have awesome wings.
Went for happy hour and the food and prices were great! Friendly service, it was also nice and cool inside on a humid day. Mango Habanero wings were delicious
Woody is a great bar tender!
Got There at 845 p.m they close at 10 by 930 they told us it was closed and told us to leave. Awful!!!!
My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant, which actually has a fairly limited menu. At 6 pm on a Monday we were the only two seated. Our hamburgers on a brioche roll were fine, and his in-house made chips seasoned with old Bay were good. Mine were greasy. We ordered a half pound of shrimp cooked in Natty boh with onions. They were big and tasty but very overcooked. With a bud light and a Pepsi and a tip our bill was $50. We won't go back, but if there is no other place to eat, it's ok.
We went here while staying at the Plaza Inn. It was off-season and we had alot of questions about the area. Our bartender was friendly and gave us good advice about some other reasturaunts to try and things to check out in the area. We ate most of our meals here and while there wasn't the largest selection on the menu, we enjoyed everything we ordered.
