I am writing my review for my visit on 10/28/17. I came here at the recommendation with my friend who lives in the area. The restaurant is owned by a couple, where the husband is the chef behind the Korean Fusion dishes and the wife is the waitress who supports the front of the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed the service and the food! For the table, we ordered the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), Pan Fried Dumplings, Beef Bim Bap, and the Korean Short Ribs. Everything was well seasoned and fresh. We were all very full after the meal. I would recommend ordering a few dishes to sample as a group as well as come early to wait for a seat. On that Saturday, we waited about 15-20 minutes, which was not bad at all. As someone who went to South Korea earlier this year, I was hoping for some grilled meat options, but I understand that the menu is more fusion than traditional Korean. I will say, however, I did enjoy the kimchi that came with one of the dishes. I would happily come back.

Extraordinarily authentic. Yobo is one of the few restaurants in the states that reminds me of my childhood in Seoul.

Best of the best Korean cuisine. Quaint little place.

Portions are way too small when you consider the steep price. Food is very tasty but portions are a deal breaker. I left there hungry and had to get more food. Probably won't eat there again.

Magnificent. Seriously. The daily crudo is out of this world. Bibimbap. Barley tea. Exquisitely presented. Server knows her stuff. A really lovely spot to have a really lovely experience with a really lovely someone.

Kerry LaPointe

Great mix of Korean favorites with perfect wine pairings. Try the KFC and one of the desserts!

Not a typical Korean restaurant with all the traditional side dishes and limited menu but the taste is authentic and delicious. The kids loved the bibimbap more than any they have had. Yes portions are small so probably a good idea to order some appetizers.

Bryan Adams

Excellent korean food and service at a reasonable price. Their Korean fried chicken is fantastic.

As authentic as it can get in Portland, very over priced. Selling 5 bucks dish for 25+

I love this little restaurant and the idea of pairing wine with Korean dishes. I had bibimbap, one of my favorites, but it was served in a smaller bowl that you often see, so it was manageable. Loved it.

Excellent service. The fried chicken and pancake were great, and we loved the small apps but found the meat of the bi bim bop and short ribs a bit dry and over priced.

If you like great food with knowledgeable staff then look no further than Yobo!! My wife and I ordered the dumplings .What a treat large pan fried dumplings with a perfect start and finish. Then a Salad with lemon and miso dressing.Fresh radishes thinly sliced with pickled black beans so delicious. and then we I shared a "Picnic for two" A large portion of perfectly cooked pork belly and 5 sides of a variety of vegetables. Pickled Daikon radish, Cabbage. Some crunchy squid ,black beans and fresh sprouts.Add Bibb lettuce to hold it all in and then add one of three amazing sauces. With Portland having so many great restaurants you can be sure to add Yobo to list.

It took nearly an hour to serve bibiambap while people who came later was served way earlier than us. Server was not friendly, looked like she was lazy to take an order too.

Divine! We knew them when they had a restaurant in New Hampshire and were so disappointed when they moved. How absolutely delighted we were to find them on a recent trip to Portland. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. And they are so lovely!
