Food was very good. Had one of the steak sandwiches which was very tender and lean. Fries were good. The Root Beer was awesome. Not the usual kind of burger place. Will definitely try it again. Server was very friendly. Took a little longer to get the food, but I think it was because there was only one server working.

Two things to know before reading: 1. I have no allergies 2. I eat fast food/burgers once a week I've been here 5 times in the past year because of the location. I've gotten sick 3 out of those 5 times. I always got a burger and fries (ranging from BBQ burger, to blue cheese, to plain). The last time I came here was 6 months ago because I got really sick. I stayed away for a bit, and wondering if it was a fluke I ordered again last night and I'm writing this review after being on the toilet for an hour and throwing up once. It's definitely not a fluke and it's definitely not something I'm sensitive to. I never get food sickness at any other place. If I had to guess it's something related to the French fries because that's what always comes up when I throw up but who really knows. Sorry for being graphic but after a third time getting sick something needed to be said UPDATE: I made this review to get the Owner's attention about the problem and it indeed worked. I'm genuinely glad they explained much about their process and potential issues. I've reached out to them to let them know more about it. I don't have any food sensitivities that they mentioned, so unfortunately I won't be going back to Wild Willy's but I still updated my review from a 1 star to a 4 star because their product IS good. I took a star off only because the atmosphere isn't to my style/liking. Obviously I still want my story to be heard, but know that I appear to be in the minority of these effects.

Always a good choice. Stopped by tonight (a Monday) and even though it was dead (only customers) my family and I had warm and friendly service, and the burgers were all delicious! Fried appetizer plate was awesome! Don't sleep on the avocado onion rings! Great value, good food, and friendly service.

Food cooked to order. Went there when the place was opening & witnessed fries and onion rings being made on the premises. I tried my first bison burger even though I am a picky eater. It was served on a gluten free bun. The burger was moist even though it was low fat, also very tasty. Fries and onion rings were delicious. There was a barrel of pickles at $0.25/pickle. The honor system is used to have the customer pay cash for a pickle which the customer picks one out of the barrel and pays a quarter for it. Good variety of drinks including alcoholic drinks or their own root beer & many others. Also on the menu is salads, chili, other kinds of sandwiches besides the great variety of burgers. That's only a sample of what's on the menu. The prices are moderate & the portions are generous and delicious. There is no delivery service. It is either take out or eat it there.

There's a Wikd Willy's at Rochester, NH. For me, they set the standard of what this burger joint us really capable of achieving. I rated them a 5...in comparison, the outlet in Worcester, MA, or, for that matter, the one in Watertown, MA, doesn't score above a 3...that is, just about, mediocre ! Hope the owners will share best grilling practices among themselves to improve upon.

This place is a gluten-free person's dream come true. I ate mozzarella bites. I haven't had those in 3 years since having to go gluten free. Waitstaff was very polite. I love that they have desserts to choose from. My boyfriend who isn't gluten free also enjoyed eating there. We both had the chili which was fabulous. Very tasty. I would definitely suggest stopping here if you're in the area. They also have barrel dill pickles which according to another patron, are fabulous. (I sort of wish I ordered something that pickles went with). I also ordered a root beer float. I've never had so much ice cream in one before! It was amazing. I wish they were closer!!!

Food was fine, temperature in the restaurant was a warm and cozy 84 on a hot summer day. The burgers showed up and then followed by the fries, 5 minutes later, followed by the drinks after multiple reminders. In short, the service sucked but the food was on par for a normal burger joint.

I had not had the chicken tenders before this visit, cuz, ya know, burger place. The burgers are great and the chicken tenders were awesome too! You can tell they're real chicken and they aren't overly breaded. Always go for the herb fries. They're on point. Willy's never disappoints.

Great burger joint even if you're not gluten free. However, if you are, you can't miss going to or through the Worcester area without trying Wild Willy's. We have someone with Celiac who also happens to be a vegetarian and the whole family is happy here because they'll do it all. We've never had a problem so they clearly understand about cross contamination. See you next time we're driving through!

Ordered 3 burger patties with cheese only. Went to pick the up and theybwanted to charge me $27 for 3 burger patties only with cheese. $27... I asked the owner why and they stated they still charge regardless if you get the bun or not. A lot if restaurants thede days will work with you in substitutes or tey and make some effort to make a customer happy. The owner? Tells me he wont change it and when I said I wasnt paying $27 for 3 small pieces of meat he told me he hopes to never see me again and told me to !%$# off as I left. THE. WORST. RESTAURANT. EXPERIENCE. OF. MY. LIFE. Ive never seen a restaurant owner use such vulgar language to a customer and be so resistant to customer service. Ive also read on their Yelp reviews that several people have had problems with the crass and blatantly rude owner.

Truly surprised at how good the food was. Haven't had ground round in years. They are no longer in my area. My steak was done perfectly. Our waitress was very attentive. Would certainly eat there again and they stay open late. Many places around here close at 9 they are open until 11. And they give you popcorn to start.

My fiancee and I went here despite the rumors we had heard. It was phenomenal. The prices were good, the food was amazing and the portion sizes were fairly big. Neither me nor my fiancee could finish our plate- without apps or dessert. The service was good and quick. Definitely going to come back.

The burgers are good!! They offer certified angus, natural grass fed beef or bison for burgers. Can also get salads, chicken sandwiches and sides like fries or chilli. I also liked that u placed your order and got to pick your own seating. We were given a number to put on the end of the table and our order was brought to the table. The atmosphere is casual, fun and inviting. It was my first time going and it won't be my last!!

It's on Route one in York Maine if your on the turnpike and your hungry and need a quick bite this is the place to go. Get off at York exit go to lights take a left and about a mile down the road on the right after your done take a look around Stonewall Kitchen, is on Route one gifts and craft stores are plentiful. Enjoy your burger and fries then take a breather and enjoy the views

I ordered 6 burgers with some fries and asked for a few mayo packs. I took the package to a family member's I was visiting. First thing I opened was the container of fires, they were so black, soggy and foul smelling, before anybody saw it I closed the container and tied it in a bag and put it back in my car so nobody would see it and threw it in the trash when I went home. There were no mayo packs in the bag so that option was off the table too. Not only the burgers, but even the buns were burnt, and shortly after eating this dry tasteless matter, I felt my stomach was boiling and it took me two days to completely recover from this experience.

Great food with unique burger toppings. Fresh cut fries are really good as are the shakes. It's not a fast food place. Burgers take about 15 minutes to be ready as they are all cooked fresh to order. Prices are better than the sit down chains. Outdoor deck seating is available in the summer.

Went here while on vacation asked for a medium Burger came out well done asked for mayo and got ketchup and mustard and the cheese was still cold and not melted. When I went back to the counter to tell them my burger was over cooked the manager or owner forcefully and aggressively ripped the burger out of my hands broke the burger in half and said it was cooked medium, however it was grey all the way through exept for a dime size portion in the middle. The manager then asked what I wanted to do and I said I wanted my money back and he said and I quote "fine you don't have to throw a temper tantrum" which I found kind of hilarious because I was completely calm during the entire conversation. Also it took 35 minutes to get our food with only two other people in the restaurant when we ordered. It is also very overpriced we got two burgers one small fry and two small root beers and it cost $28. The burgers themselves are $9 and do not come with fries or a side. I would highly recommend staying away from this restaurant particularly while under this management because of such a poor experience and poor service.

The food was great. Lots of Gluten-free options for my wife. Everything in the fryer is gluten-free. The coating on the onion rings and fried fish were really good and I am used to regular non gluten-free foods. We shared a desert with a gluten-free brownie and ice cream that was fantastic. Prices were excellent as well. Server was wonderful and very attentive without hovering.

We stopped here on our way home from camping, and we were excited about amazing burgers from a place that had a 4.6 star rating. They were good, but nothing to brag about. The meat was blah not seasoned at alll. My “sautéed onions” were more than sautéed. The fries were soggy. The smokehouse burger had NOTHING smokehouse about it. Wasn’t worth the price we paid, would’ve been satisfied with a Burger King to he quite honest! Very unsatisfied.

On our way back from New Hampshire we stopped here as we hate going to fast food restaurants. This place was just what we were looking . We ordered 2 burgers that were absolutely delicious along with a chicken sandwich which was very juicy. The French fries and fried pickles were perfectly done. The fried pickles did not have too much batter and were nice and crispy. This place is right off the highway if you are looking for something convenient call ahead and hop back on the road.

Tonight was our last visit. This has become a Wednesday night fave for us for a quick, delicious bite. Upon walking through the door tonight the staff shouted out “are you eating in or getting it to go?” No more ordering at the counter. Being seated by our “waitress” involved us walking around the seating area while she followed with two menus. The food was same as always but this sham of it now being a sit down restaurant turned us off. It took forever to get our check. It’s no longer a quick place to grab a bite. I don’t expect a sit down restaurant to serve my dinner in foil wrapped packages on a wobbly red plastic tray. We don’t mind tipping, in fact we are good tippers and we tipped well tonight, but it definetly felt forced as well as bizarre. Stick to what you know. Good burgers fast. If we want sit down then we will go to a sit down place.

We used to go here often. Recently we stopped by for lunch and i was surprised to see the parking lot mostly empty. A friend said it's under new ownership. A really good burger, well made. With a name like Wild Willy's Burgers, that's a great thing! Your choice of meat, including bison, my favorite. If you're a vegetarian, they have a great veggie burger, too. Good crispy fries, and frappes here are to die for! I used to live nearby and made Willy's a regular spot to get my burger on. No frills, you get a menu, go up to the counter and order, and the Kitchen does the rest. The burgers are cooked to order, and I've never been disappointed after 20 years.

An awesome gluten free menu. The fish and chips are fantastic. But it's not the right atmosphere for live music so we try to go for lunch. When the acoustic bands are playing it's impossible to have a conversation with whoever you are with. Wait staff is very friendly and very aware of gluten allergies. My wife and I go once a week, it's our new Saturday tradition.

Excellent french fries. They call them "County Fair Fries" and it's not an exaggeration; the fries are just like the ones from an old-school fry truck, perfect with a dash of malt vinegar and an extra sprinkle of salt. I had the Willy Burger, which fully met my expectations- Patty cooked as requested, fresh toppings, and a nice soft roll that still stood up to the sauces and juice of the burger. I'd like to return for the fried chicken sandwich- there are surprisingly few places in Worcester that make a good one. Note: the burgers don't come with fries- you have to order them separately. Burger, fries, and a 16 oz. Be Hoppy cost about $20, with tax and tip.

Edit: Upping it by a star for the owners' response. I talked with him and his first response was genuine surprise, which tells me this is not something he's heard often - or ever. Then he was very apologetic and offered my money back. I feel it's more likely I was the unlucky one in a million, and I have just read about a USDA recall in early September of some millions of pounds of hamburger infected with salmonella, which may be related. Original Review: I've had their burgers a couple dozen times with no problem, but last night I had one done medium, and got the worst food poisoning I've ever had in my life. I almost had to call an ambulance. I'm going to have a word with management and may change my rating depending on their response, but I still feel horrible 24 hours later (fever, chills, extreme muscle soreness, can barely keep water down), and I don't think I'll be able to drive past the place again without getting nauseous.

The veggie burger I got was pretty good. I liked the flexibility of getting any burger with a veggie patty. I didn't really like the standard bun given, it was stale and mushy. Although, I'm not entirely sure if I could've changed it. Fries, both the regular and sweet potato ones, and the onion rings were quite dry and bland. They didn't have a good sauce to go with either. Chili was mostly just ground beef in its own juices. You should probably just get a burger and a beverage if you come here and skip any additional items. I didn't get to try the ice cream or dessert but that might be something you can add. It is bit pricey especially if you order multiple things for more than one person. It's spacious and comfy; employees are friendly. Country music plays but it's tolerable if you sit far away enough from the speakers (if you're someone like me).

Service started our great and rapidly declined. As a person from the industry I have never left less then 15% and I just had to tonight because she didn’t deserve any more! Completely left us! Someone else took over was no explanation. Then original server came back with attitude. It took at least a half an hour before appetizers arrived and they were wrong. If she at least explained that she was in the weeds I would’ve been fine but there was none of that it was like nobody cared. The best part of our experience wasn’t the host! He was great!! What sucks for them is my daughters at a university up here for the next four years and I will not be back and I’ll make sure I tell everybody!!

We got the guacamole onion rings. They are a good size and come with a thousand island sauce. The tricky part about these is you basically dip it and then have to eat the whole thing in one bite because otherwise it will fall apart in your hand after you bite it, it is after all guacamole. Of everyone place we ate at this was our family's favorite. Was reasonably priced and amazing BISON burgers. Place isn't the fanciest but is you leave FULL and happy. I would highly recommend stopping in for one of your meals. We stopped multiple times the week we visited.

my wife had the prime rib which was cooked very nicely flavorful and quite tender. Came of the side of a baked potato and a gorgeous Caesar salad. Fresh crisp nice salad good size. I have the triple fajita with chicken beef and shrimp. The guacamole was tasty there was plenty to take home. The lettuce tomato and cheese came in a tasty crisp taco bowl. Almond all good place for a meal and to bring the family. we came on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait, sat right down, food came out fairly quickly and was hot and fresh. If you're in Bangor with the family or by yourself be sure to stop by The ground round have a nice bar there as well.

I took my family to a near-empty Wild Willy's, was immediately seated and placed an order for an appetizer. Out waitress then went MIA for about 10 minutes. My wife had finished her drink before the waitress even returned to take our meal orders. We were never asked if she wanted a refill. After placing our orders, we were ghosted for the next 25 minutes as we watched people seated after us receive their food. I approached the waitress (who was just hanging out around at the bar) where my food was. She had no idea we even ordered an appetizer. The manager claimed that the cook had "accidentally" bumped our order to the bottom of his queue, and that it would be rushed out. We never received our appetizer, and our fries came out 5 minutes after the burgers. The meat in my prime rib burger was of good quality, but it was unseasoned, it was overcooked, and the bun was over-grilled to the point of nearly being charred, which overwhelmed the flavor of the meat. We were given no apology, offered no discount of any kind for the mistake, we were never even asked in 50 minutes time if we wanted another drink. The house is a disorganized mess - no one seems to have a clear role, everyone is pouring drinks, waiting tables - and none of the staff can seem to be bothered by it. There are a hundred places in Worcester to get a gourmet burger, skip this one.

Food was the only good thing about this experience. Waited for 5 minutes before we were greeted, then it's some guy who I thought was a customer since he dressed like a hillbilly. I've been in the restaurant business for 20+ years and cannot stress how inappropriate his attire was(tan cargo shorts, long frizzy hair hanging out of his hat...that was supporting a different restaurant, work boots and a half attempt at a button down). Waitress delivers food- we have no silverware after waiting a reasonable amount of time I went to the bar and got silverware from them. Our server didnt come back for a check for at least 10 minutes. I'm not going to go on about why she should have been back sooner. Needless to say we wont go back at least not this location. We were looking forward to it to since we had never been. Just very disappointed

It is exactly as stated... a burger joint. GREAT Burgers, i recommend the Bison Burger. Good frappes and shakes, small beer selection and some good French Fry options as well. Food is fresh and comes out relatively fast. The only downside is that they have limited indoor seating so if you go right at lunch or dinner time it tends to fill up quick! Other than that I highly suggest giving it a try!

Very large and varied menu! I had haddock and my daughter had sirloin tips. We were both very pleased with the quality and flavor of our food. 9/14/2018 8:25pm I order for pick up and it was 63$ whoever took my order wrote it down correctly two wicked good and one la Bamba we ask for 2 medium cooked and one medium rare . One of the wicked good was just bacon n cheese and all the burgers were over cooked. Because it was so late and starving my daughter n husband ate it , I lost my appetite. Will not order again. Too bad the place has potential but who ever cooked it should just probably take the order no offense.

First timer. My fiance and I came here for lunch on our way back from OOB. I did not expect the way you ordered food, it's unique, but efficient and seems to work very well for the owners. They have draft root beer, which I have never seen before and that really was the kicker for me to come back. Draft root beer?! It's the best kind of root beer, not even Fudrucker's at Foxwoods has this. The actual meal was fantastic: flavorful burger meat and delectable fries. I had an outstanding bison burger and my fiance had their famous Angus burger. Both were tasty. Definitely a place we'll come back to!

Flies everywhere and the water tasted like sewage. In response to the comment from the restaurant questioning my credibility, I have in fact been to both Wild Willie’s locations. Ironically, I did click this location by mistake at first, but I decided to leave my experience here as well since I stumbled upon it and vividly remember my visit. I went to the York location numerous times until they were racist towards my boyfriend. Once I discovered the Worcester location, (which is actually closer by) I decided to give it a chance and was disappointed. I had higher expectations from the York location, but this one was run down in comparison. I am giving my honest opinion and experiences. The food itself was just okay, but I will not return because I was truly disappointed. My review was short and straight to the point because it is what stands out to me from the experience. There were a lot of flies and the water tasted like there was something wrong with it so I couldn’t drink it. As for reviewing Google’s Terms of Use Policy, it says “Your content should reflect your genuine experience at the location.” I hope that in the future, you will not invalidate customers’ experiences.

This place is hard to review. I've had great trips to the Ground Round I've also had terrible visits. Example Good Trip: We went to the dining side and I had a bison burger, it was cooked medium rare like I had asked and it tasted great. The server recommended an awesome starter and was attentive and we as a family of four had a great time. Example Bad Trip: We arrived and tried to enter the bar side, we were asked to stay in the lobby as the sign said wait to be seated. We came on a Friday this night when most weeks we go out Thursday night. I mentioned that we are normally allowed to seat ourselves as that had been the case several times before. The older woman at the hostess desk scoffed at me and my mother and said she had worked there for several years and it had never been seat yourself. We explained how it had been at least one time before and she berated us. My mother gave up and said it wasn't a huge deal who was right and when the old woman dismissed us mom reminded her that we were customers and she should try smiling more. We left after more scowling and general threatening language. We didn't feel welcome and my mother didn't feel safe. Never go there as a family anymore but sometimes my wife and I go to get fajitas. I imagine we won't ever be back once we find somewhere else with good fajitas.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience last night. There heat has been broken for a couple days, and after we were seated it took 10 minutes for somebody to come to our table to even begin to ask if we needed anything. After we ordered only two of the drinks came and when the other three came two of them were wrong. Our basket of fries was smaller than the small fry we last ordered. we have been going here since they first opened, mostly because they offered great gluten-free selections. However, I will have to seriously consider whether I want to return again.

Wild Willy's is a typical burger place. However, the flow of the order and the seating give it a cozy feel. Their burgers are fresh so you can cook to order. The addition of Bisson to the menu gives a great change of pace. The Chocolate frappes are on point and we'll made. I like this place as our way point either heading up to Boothbay Harbor or coming home. Good for a family, you can cut a burger in half for small kids.

This was my fourth time eating at Wild Willy's. The first time was fantastic. The second time mus husband brought it home during a move, it was not that great. The third time my son and I went, it was dry and tasteless. We decided that we would try it one more time. The last time it was very disappointing, just bland. The toppings were fine. The burger had no flavor. Mine was cold, like it had been pre cooked and not warmed properly. Probably our last time.

The outside holds no candle to the food you will get here. We almost didn't go in because it looked like a little run down but inside is clean and pleasant and the food is excellent. The fries look handcut and are great...but the burgers are the star. I had the prime rib OUTLAW burger and it was cooked to a perfectly order internal temp and came topped with sharp white cheddar which was AMAZING. My only wish is that the burger came with some veggies on top to lighten it up some. Can't wait to return

I used to love coming here every summer since I was a kid. I was so excited to have my boyfriend try it for the first time. We came with my family and friends. Whenever people have walked in, they find a table to sit or order because it’s casual. This time, my boyfriend sat at a table (because he has a hurt knee) while the rest of us ordered. We were ordering something for him too. The table next to us did the same thing, with some of their party sitting while the others ordered. After a few minutes, a woman behind the counter angrily yelled “You can’t sit there!” across the room to my boyfriend and he was confused. She yelled “You can’t sit there without ordering!” and made an embarrassing scene and everyone looked even though he did nothing wrong. He got up awkwardly. All the other people who sat at tables without ordering yet were not yelled at. The reason why she yelled at just him was because he was the only one who wasn’t white in the whole restaurant and she was being racist. I’ve never witnessed anything like it before, and was super confused until I realized. So disappointing to see the dark side of one of my favorite childhood places.

The food might have been good if hot, but it was as if it had been sitting for half of our wait. One of our orders was wrong, and other orders were missing sides. The real kicker was waiting 30 minutes for our check. We asked the waiter several times, yet still had to wait just to leave the place. Was not a good experience.

Nice welcoming dining room. Sports Bar off to one side as well. Although we didn't eat in there, I still snuck a glance in and it was a nice place. Couple big screens. Would recommend going there. Stopped on our road trip. Had good reviews so we thought it'd be good. Uh nope. Walked in, a pleasant face met us and handed us menus and told us to come up and order when ready and told us to basically sit anywhere. Place seemed clean and they have a nice little patio out back with a handful of tables up against a little meadow field. I ordered a caprese burger special and we also got a BBQ burger of sorts and BLT. The lady taking orders had a hard time putting the order in the computer and we ended up putting our fry order in separately because we realized she didn't catch it the first time. Also had shakes there that were tasty but not amazing. Fries were legit homemade and good. My burger was a dry hunk of meat cooked medium - they even have a chart saying what to expect with each level and medium was some pink. My burger definitely lacked flavor. I took a bite of the BBQ burger and was disgusted at the liquid smoke chemical flavor and the bacon on the BLT had the same flavoring to it. Overall for a place that is supposed to specialize in burgers it was just very disappointing. Not worth stopping. I don't get what people eat here that is so amazing. Also, please note, the restrooms here are located down a flight of stairs and don't appear to be handicap accessible.

Good food, prices are a bit high considering you have to order at the counter and go up and buy another drink or get anything else. They really should make it a sit down restaurant and hire waiting staff. The food is good though

Pretty decent burgers... I've had better, but lve had worse too!! Nice atmosphere though... for bringing the kids there... Much better than going to Mc's, ya'know!?! Magnificent tower of brownies, ice cream, whipped cream, and warm chocolate and caramel drizzle. Brownies were perfectly soft and warm, giving great texture to the whole delicious dish. Probably the best sundae I have ever had. The little piggy burger was cooked exactly as ordered, and piled high with piggy and fried onion. Sorry, I was so anxious to sink my teeth into it I didn't get a picture. Add in the superb customer service from entry to exit, and you have a customer for life in this foodie. Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had.

Delicous burgers! Hadn't been in quite some time as felt quality had declined, but so happy we gave it another try! The burgers were cooked to perfection, big and juicy but not bloody. The fries were also excellent. Kiss that cook! We will not wait so long to return!

Burger was very good , fries while homemade (I think) were more than 50% small ¾" pieces. Staff was attentive but noticed that it seemed a bit unorganized. I did notice that a table patron needed to come to the bar to get a beverage refill...
