Hot legit Indian Chai tea and the coconut date Pashwar naan. O - m - g. Yum! Bring home both, put naan in toaster next morning, add butter....heat up the chai, and slip into heaven... They grind whole spices into all the food here and EVERY dish is made to order. Simply best restaurant if you adore complex flavors, best indian been to in U.S. The manager there is perfect with customer service and high end food and drink knowledge. Owner travels to Boston farmer's markets a few times a week to pick up the best meats and veggies... Go there, and become a regular!!!!

Very good food; a cut above many North American Indian food restaurants. This is probably because the chef Rajesh Mandekar concentrates on North Indian cuisine, rich in flavours and spices. Everything is good here: I recommend the Chicken 65 and Cauliflower 65 as appetizers, the Chicken Tika Masala or the Lamb curry for the main course. Best betis to go as a gang and taste a little from many dishes.

SUCH GOOD Indian food. Lived in NYC for 10 years and was worried that when we moved to Maine we’d miss good Indian cuisine. So grateful a friend told me about Tulsi. We’ve eaten here regularly for 2 years now and have worked our way through the menu- its ALL delicious. Friendly staff, easy walk-in, and great beer selection too. Highly recommend!

One of the best Vindaloos I've ever had. Amazing food and very friendly people. Forget the lobster rolls and seafood in Wells, eat here first!

Peter Proach

Very good food, we ate at another recommended Indian restaurant and appreciate Tulsi even more now.

Here it is. Absolutely amazing. Had back issues that wouldnt allow me to get there on a friday so we got takeout. We got mussel app, which is very nice and different. The 2 meals kashmiri lamb curry and zaffani jhinga. Both above expectations and were also equally amazing, flavorful and fragrant. Ive ate more rice then I care to share. This rice is spot on. Paneer naan also great! This is the nicest naturalist rice I've ever enjoyed. The portions are large. Not like sloppy Chinese buffet large, but like a valuble, hearty, healthy meal like it should be. Upon pickup the chef was making his rounds and saying hello to the guests. Nice to see a place do this and reconnect with its patrons. Menu was a pita to find since i dont have facebook. So I will upload it. My advice is to skip the steakhouse or seacoast pizza tonight and try something that will warm your heart and soul. 10 stars

I have been to many great indian restaurants and this one is one the bests, plus the owner or chef came and checked on us, which was a nice gesture along with the great service from all the servers.

For the price I was expecting the food to be better and bigger servings. Didn't get me over my jonesing for chicken tikka and just left me disappointed and out more cash than I'd planned on spending. Plus everything about it is a little...funky. Hard to put my finger on exactly what it was, but it was an odd place.

Waited for over an hour for my meal. I ordered the grilled cilantro chicken, which was suburb, and the salmon which was ok. I will give it another chance though

I really wanted to like this place. I ordered chicken vindaloo it was ok but the chicken was burnt. My date ordered the 9 veggie curry and there were only 3 most likely they used those pre-cut veggies in a bag. Our food took forever and we were the first ones there. The portions are tiny especially for what they are charging. I ordered a drink which they got wrong. The service was just terrible. I will not be going back. Southern ME has plenty of other great authentic Indian restaurants without the bad service, poor food and expensive meals. Try the one in Biddeford, there's an excellent one in South Portland and the real deal in Portland The Shalimar. Also I've had Indian food all over the world & I've been to India this was one of the worst Indian food experiences I've had in a long time.

Amazing food. Everything I had was incredibly flavorful and fresh tasting. Service was good with great suggestions.

Everything seemingly made to order, rich spices that obviously weren't sitting on a shelf for years, and everything there was DELICIOUS! I only wish I could afford to go more!

One of the best Chicken Tiki Masala I never had the Mild is not at all spicy I plan to go back and try the Chicken Tiki Masala medium because I would like a little spice

They claim to have the best Indian food in wells, Maine....which is only true because they are the only Indian restaurant in wells, Maine. The food was very mediocre, the waitresses seemed to be in no hurry as they strolled around casually. It took forever to get our food. As an avid curry lover, I wouldn't return to Tulsi North.

CWD1948

Not experienced as off 1 17 but word of mouth is that food is very good at this newly opened restaurant

Jeff Spires

Best Indian food anywhere! Fun location with a good vibe. Say hi to Mandy when you go in!

Traveled to Wells from Boston for a weekend getaway. Spontaneously chose Tulsi North for dinner our first night, and then went back the second night because we were that impressed! True, authentic, and delicious Indian food at a reasonable price! The waiting staff were attentive and friendly, as well as helpful when it came to providing menu suggestions. The chef made it a point to come around table to table and introduce himself, as well as share his passion for the food!! Would definitely recommend a meal at Tulsi North. Since being back in Boston, I am already planning my next visit:)

Jason Pascucci

Exceptional Indian cuisine, excellent use of traditional flavors with fresh base ingredients. Unique specials. Vastly better than average bar. If they have it, try the Curry Manhattan (I know, I know - but try it anyway, you). Charming staff.

Asked the waiter to bring me his favorite entree....very good shrimp dish and the rice was perfect! The cocktail was just OK as the mint was not visible fresh. The lentil dumpling app was very good...anyway, the place was a nice change to reset the palate against the usual food in the area.

Michelle McClellan

Excellent food. Nice family run restaurant.

Jarred Johnson

Amazing, flavorful, and welcoming. The chef was so warm and friendly and explained the specials in great detail. This place gets the basics right: lentils, curry vindaloo, etc, and they're not afraid to think out the box too. The sardines were fantastic. I can't wait to come again. Don't be afriad to try to unique menu items like the Chino India appetizer or the Pashwari Naan (coconut and berries).

I have only had Indian food a couple of times. It was delicious! I got "mild" which was spicy, but not too spicy. The bread with coconut & fruit in it was amazing! I had a shrimp dish in a cream sauce...very tasty! The waitress was great at explaining our questions! More expensive than I thought, but was worth it!

Drew Gregory

Tasty Dal!

Nice atmosphere with a menu that provides variety without overwhelming. I always love a place where I can ask for them to bring the heat and they do no questions asked, a rarity for white people. Serious flavor and respectable heat for a fair price.
