This place was great when it first opened but has gone down hill. the last two times we've eaten at the Town line we were disappointed. I ordered the fried haddock and it was noticeably overcooked. My brother ordered their clam chowder and it was very watery. The time before that my wife and I split the sea food platter. The clams were very rubbery and had an old taste to them and just wasn't what we were used to getting at thew town line. Not sure if we'll go back.

I am usually a person who is very understanding of restaurant workers, having spend a long time working as a cook and some experience front of house too. That being said, they only get the 1 star because I can't give them 0. Stopped in early to quickly grab takeout, it took nearly 10 minutes of staff walking by saying "they'll be right with you" to end up having to stop someone who seemed annoyed that we wanted takeout and just pointed towards the bar. After ordering 2 breakfast sandwiches, it took *37* minutes of standing there waiting to receive my food, during which time the wait staff was wildly rude. Nearly an hour after I stopped in to quickly grab two breakfast sandwiches, I left too get in my car and both orders were wrong, the roll on one was burnt beyond being consumable, and there was a single homefry inside of one of the sandwiches that did not come with homefries, along with the corner of a piece of toast (it was served on an English muffin) which was also too salty to eat. Extremely dissatisfied with every part of my experience.

Restaurant's r a hit or miss everyday ..noone is perfect ..with that said this place 9-10 times hit it perfectly . The staff is amazing ,always friendly and they all have great personality . With that said , I enjoy giving reviews to help others. as before I try a new place I read reviews . When u eat out nothing is ever perfect (remember that before u make a review u can always cook at home instead) , here the staff do have a good sense of what food should b before served, as today I appreciated that. my sandwich which btw was hit perfectly ,came w o fries tho very little wait after because the waitress noticed they needed to be redone ..as a customer I appreciate everything staff do to make a pleasant meal . The carrot cake is awesome ,so very moist and tastefull. Delish .

You couldn't pay me to eat we waited 10 minutes at the bar and nobody said boo to us so we left. There was only 6 cars in the parking lot. Very disappointed

Terrible service. Arrived at 8:45, ordered around 9ish because before we were going to wait and sit at a table but decided to sit at the bar. A little while passed. Still no food. People who had come in after us got their food, and even they were confused thinking it must have been wrong. Still no food for us, it was around 10:00 at this point. My mom asked for them to check on ours, they said they did and it would be right out. 10:10 still nothing. Got the bill for our drinks and come to find out they had lost the ticket.. not happy. Not sure how that happens.

we arrived around 7:49 and by 8:43 there was still no food people came in after us and go their food before we did and we still had no food by 9:00 and the waitress forgot to put the order in when we where the only people in there, so we decided to leave because it was an hour before we got our food

So disappointed. Prices are ridiculous for what you get. Cold fries, soggy gross Mac and cheese. Have to pay extra for onions with steak tips, or lettuce on a burger! Will not go back.

This place is incredible! Easy on the eyes inside and a family feel for sure. The staff was really accommodating and made sure me and my party were well taken care of. The food was unbelievable! Waitress was awesome. Highly recommend and next time i come to maine i will be stopping back here before i head back home

Good local restaurant with lots of options. It is open 6 days a week for 3 meals a day. It offers a nice local flavor without having to go to the 'big city' to get nice meal. One nice option is their clam or haddock chowder wherein the cup is 12 ounces. When they deliver it, one assumes they got the order wrong and delivered you a bowl by mistake. Not so, the bowl is 24 ounces. You can get a variety of most anything there from steak, to chicken, to turkey, seafood, salads and the like. Each month they publish a calendar featuring specials for each day including Fridays wherein they offer an all you can eat haddock supper. Another plus is that kids eat free on Tuesday. They also offer nice local craft brews from Funky Bow brewing just a few miles away.

Can’t beat this place for solid good food, scrumptious home made deserts, reasonable prices, and a decent selection of beers; including many local micros. The parking lot is usually packed on most nights of the week... that pretty much says it all.

If this review was just about the food it would have been a 5... My son and I had the unfortunate luck of visiting on a day with a large 15 person party. They were very loud - we literally could not have a conversation. While annoying, I didn't mind their boisterousness until one started using loud profanity. When looking to find my waitress to say something, I found her at the loud table playing with the children. I told another older lady that it was not appropriate with children in the (very small) dining room. Nothing was done. A nice man brought out our food (the best interaction of the visit) and the party got louder. We decided this was not fun and to get boxes for our food. We looked for our waitress for at least 5 min. Our waitress (Brenda from the receipt) never checked on us. When I was finally able to get her attention she didn't even ask why our meals were untouched.

This place is top notch a little but pricey but worth every penny, they have they best poutine I have ever had whenever I got to the area I got to town line sometimes more than once and 30 minutes out of the way but still worth the drive to, there Thanksgiving subs is so good and there fried clambplate is huge. Always busy but I can see why.. They have it and everyone likes it...enjoy

Can I leave no stars?? ....We ordered our food at 11:05 an hour later we still haven’t received our food our server comes over to say I’m so sorry it takes a little while to transition from breakfast to lunch. Yes we get it may take a little bit but an hour to cook two burgers and fries... food came to us cold and well over done, needless to say we will not be back. If you want to wait over an hour for sh!tty food this is your spot!

This restaurant worked with me to provide an affordable meal for 25 people for my son's wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was excellent, prices charged per plate were more than fair for the amount of food provided. Almost all of us took home a doggie bag. The mangers and staff were pleasant and the service was great. I have eaten here a couple of times, but this time was over the top. You can bet I will be a long-time fan of the restaurant and it's staff. I plan on eating there often. Wonderful people, wonderful place.

Great breakfast. You will not leave hungry and if you are in the mood for a Mimosa or a Bloody Mary then your in luck. I have not been here for lunch or dinner so I cannot add to review, however I have noticed that parking lot looks busy at these times. If you are in the area give them a try.

Live nearby and have visited several times since its opening and it is steadily going downhill in service and quality. We have been sit down 2 times in our past 4 visits and ignored for a good 10 min while others that came in behind us are giving their orders so we left . Food is just ok

This place was horrible. There were more flies in the dining area than in a barn. We had dirty silverware the waitress brought my food to the table with her fingernails in my food. The food was below average but not terrible. We will not be going back.

I worked here for a while. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great, but the food is a bit lackluster. The kitchen isn't very clean, and some of the handling procedures of the food from even the experienced staff is highly concerning. The breakfast is great, though.

Been to the Townline many times and not any complaints.. The food is so good..Breakfast, Lunch or dinner! Reasonable prices and the service is wonderful! Bloody Mary is so good! A meal in a glass! Lol.. My favorite is the corn beef hash! Yum Yum! And the carrot cake! Well yeah! Stop by and check them out while you are checking out the foliage this Fall.. You will not be disappointed!

This is the best restaurant in the south. This is a family restaurant thst caterers to everyone. All the food is fresh and all the desserts are . made on site. The soups that they have are family originally made, no one has the recipe. I know because I work here. You will never find a better family place where the owner takes care of his employees. First visit. Mother's Day dinner. Went with a group of ten people. Staff and service were fantastic! Food was good. Margarita specials, good price... however, I couldn't drink the second margarita as it was too sweet.

I've only ever had breakfast, but you can never go wrong with some type of eggs Benedict. My personal favorite is the Irish Benedict (they use their own homemade corn beef hash as opposed to the normal eggs Benedict that comes with "Canadian bacon") The staff are very courteous. Always friendly. If I could afford to eat breakfast there every day, I would! Hands down!!!

Its a very nice place. Food is very average. Country fried steak was out of a box and gravy was salty. Haddock nuggets were over cooked and french fries not so great. Local beer on tap and was priced right. 2.99 for a glass of tea seems excessive. Service was ok..had a hard time getting a check to leave. Place was packed with locals at 130 pm on a tuesday.

The margaritas and pies were outstanding...the rest of the meal, not so much. I ordered the special of the day which was crab cakes. They were mostly breadcrumbs with no taste. The green beans were canned which is a huge pet peeve of mine but the baked potatoe was alright. My 4 year old got spaghetti and meatballs. He is typically not a picky eater and yet hardly ate his dinner. He ate some pasta and 2 rolls but did not like the meatballs at all which is very odd! My husband got the chicken and broccoli and he said his was not bad. The pies are in fact homemade and the $5 margaritas are really really good! I'll be back for those but will not have dinner here again.

I had a Western Omelette with homefries and raisin toast. The omelette was a bit dry but still good though it's just the veggies and ham folded into like an egg envelope and not really mixed together. The homefries and toast were both delicious. Prices were fair.
