This Restaurant belongs to the category of Breakfast restaurant.
I went once while on vacation in Portland, but my experience on a Thursday morning was great. The menu has a good range of options and the food was delicious (including probably the best home fries I've ever had). Great service and a good selection of local beer and cider if you're into that. The only issue I could see is that the place is small, so I'm sure during busy times, it might be a long wait and difficult to find parking. If I'm in the area again, though, I'll definitely try to go back.
Lovely independent breakfast place with a smaller menu and a couple specials.
Fantastic food. Gluten free options if you're into that.
Excellent food and service! I've never had a bad experience the multiple times I've been here.
AMAZING food here! It’s always crowded and sometimes the atmosphere isn’t the most amazing depending on where you sit but who cares the food is so good
Delicious! Gluten free options & contamination conscious for celiacs
Delicious brunch, great service, and very kid friendly!
Great food, long waits.
It's a great gluten free option. Great nitro iced coffee. Food was good, but not amazing.
Super creative place! Love the drawing table cloth! Always go for the chelfs choice stuffed french toast! they also had lamb beacon!
Great food. Good service. Cold brew nitro is awesome!
Great food, great service. I enjoyed a veggie option while my spouse enjoyed a couple of the small meat plates. Met the owner. What a host!
go expecting to be there for 1-2 hrs. its not a quick breakfast place. thats what turned me off. some what due to the service not paying attention. when you wait 20-30 minutes to pay its very frustrating. food was ok. they should also open earlier. normal people with jobs cant go.
Excellent food. Well prepared. Nice staff. Fun atmosphere.
So yummy!! I had "the bomb" with pulled pork and it was awesome. Good coffee and great service - we will be back!
Bring your appetite, the portions are large but the food is great. Love, love, love their home fries..
They could only serve gluten free items as their area where they cook gluten items was broke. But I'm sure the gluten items are good...
Amazing menu...always creative specials. I find it difficult choosing because everything looks delicious. I decided each time I go not to get the same item. It has been working wonders. The staff is super friendly
Why do I keep forgetting this place exists. Sinful Kitchen is a great brunch spot, especially if you want to try something a little different. Plenty of the usual brunch staples, also little surprises if you look. Try the lamb bacon and the cinnamon roll waffles. The service is always top notch as well. I just need someone to remind me they are there, especially when I don’t want to fight for a parking space and a table on the peninsula.
Very good food
Excellent. Driven by out without realizing what a gem. Had a terrific eggs Benedict,
What a Crab Benedict delight! Tastes just like home cookin'!
Food and service always is great
Loved this cozy restuarant there breakfast is amazing
This place was very, VERY good. We loved the cozy chill vibe of the place, laid back. Our server was nice and made sure we had everything we wanted or needed. And the food... oh, the food! My wife had the brunch burger with coffee, while I had the huevos rancheros dish with the Sinful Mary drink. It was all amazing. One of the best, if not the best, brunch places we’ve been to. Highly recommend!
First time here and it was amazing. We had their caramelized banana French toast and the spinach and pesto Benny. The food was very flavorful and fresh and the service was wonderful. Be sure to make a reservation.
Friendly service. Delicious food!
Awesome place, great food, style, music. Love it, go there.
Everything was great. Especially loved the classic Eggs Benedict and cold brew coffee! Ambiance was really fun, it felt like I was having breakfast at a friends house...a friend who's an amazing cook. Definitely will be going back again soon.
Only downside was it was a little hot in the place and they didn't have fresh brewed iced tea. Food is very very good and a huge selection. Friendly service as well. Definitely stop by for breakfast!
Little bit of a wait for a Saturday holiday weekend brunch but finding a place with a decent vegan options is hard! Their vegan tofu scramble is delicious and service is great, well worth the expected wait!
My first visit and I was in a party of 5 that were all familiar with the menu. Loved the alcohol selection and the local beer and cider offerings. Really friendly waitstaff. Beautiful waffles and stuffed French Toast. I was very pleased that turkey sausage was on the menu as a meat option.
The food and drinks were fabulous! Make a reservation for faster seating. I will definitely be going back!
Always good friendly atmosphere
Amazing brunch foods! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of GF options :)
We have enjoyed brunch a few times and have always enjoyed it!!!!
First time there was just okay, not a big fan of the stuffed French toast or the eggs Benedict, but the second time my girlfriend and I got the strawberry waffles and and omelet and they were amazing. Service was decent, but they were extremely busy both times we were there. It's a pretty cramped place though, if you like a lot of room, this isn't the place for you.
Food was really good and the service was top notch! I will definitely go back!
This place is the best! So many options for those of us who have to eat gluten free, plus delicious food for those who don't. You really can't beat it. Parking can be a little tricky on the weekends, since it's always packed, but the wait is so worth it!
Scrumdelciousy delightful stuffed French Toast and the Feta Omelette made the wait worth it!
This place is excellent. Everything I have had is incredibly tasty, and the staff is friendly and attentive. If you are trying to go midmorning in the weekend, definitely call ahead for a reservation.
Great breakfast and service!
The best brunch in Portland! They can also make anything on their menu gluten free.
Well. There was a wait to get seated, but judging by the aromas coming from inside I could tell that it would be worth it . Liz, was my server and she was amazing . She helped me to select a meal by letting me know what her favorite food was..the cinnamon bun waffle. So I that and the huevos rancheros..both were absolutely fantastic. I had a great meal and plan to return. Dont miss out on this place.
Haven't even got our food and we're already having a blast. Love the tables we can doodle on and the ukelele on the wall with a "play me" tag.
Very good food, I deliver there produce now from Portland produce it was my first time eatting there it was great corn beef hash loved it I will be back to have more thanks
Great little place Food was great love that itus all made from scratch The crayons and paper tablecloths to draw on were so much fun We will be back if when back in Portland
Very attentive service, excellent breakfast.
It's a cozy little place. Went there for Saturday breakfast. The place was pretty busy. We didn't have a reservation so we waited for about 20 mins. I tried their ghost pepper sausage, it was pretty hot (as it should be). Waffles were good too.
My friends and I make it a point to stop here every summer on our way up to Sebago Lake from New Jersey. Everything is good. Every.Thing. Some of my favorite things: Best huevos rancheros (I've been on the hunt for years) and homefries. Kombucha on tap. Mimosa of the day (they always have some interesting fresh squeezed option - this time it was grapefruit). Hash of the day (pulled pork) - fantastic! I can't say enough about this cute little find. I look forward to my next trip to The Sinful Kitchen!
Excellent home style food with a cozy interior. Phenomenal waffles.
Started french toast is EPIC!
Brunch is great and they take reservations which is always helpful
This place is amazing!
This place is cosy. It's a house that's been set with tables for eating. The food is decent and inexpensive. I had the waffle pizza which was good. Food wasn't streaming hot and the waffle wasn't crispy. My plate had a slightly metallic taste to it but others I was with really enjoyed their plates. Not a good place to bring groups. There really aren't any tables for more than five people. It's very small on the inside. Make a reservation.
The food was great. I had a variant of eggs Benedict, as did my best friend. They have some kind of cinnamon rolls that were
Monte Cristo was fantastic, loved the whole grain bread. And my good God the home fries are lights out.
So good!! Great for kids, all dishes can be made gluten free!!
Not good. No stars today
For brunch not breakfast. A classic brunch place in that it favors style over substance. The atmosphere is good, staff competent, the sides decent but the coffee and the main dish were mediocre at best. Don't get the crab Benedict.
Excellent service!!! Seriously, the nicest servers and hostess. Cute "house" with a parking lot! They close at 2pm so if you come around 1pm you probably won't have to wait for a table. Great breakfast comfort food with GF options and AMAZING coffeeeeeeee!
The breakfast and coffee here are well-worth a visit. I enjoyed the pulled pork "Friends with Benedicts" and my family enjoyed the breakfast pizza (served on a waffle), the Monte Cristo, the stuffed French toast, and a specialty omelette. Service was friendly and accommodating. Local rotating art for sale on display at this area hot spot makes for great decor and an engaging environment. Minus 1-star for the price tag.
Awesome brunch with tasty, creative choices for all - including vegan and gluten free offerings
The food is always amazing! So creative and tasty. The service is equally awesome! We've never had a bad meal or service. Gotta get there early, they fill up fast!
Visiting from Portland, Oregon, superb food! I needed to find a gluten-free option and The Sinful Kitchen more than shined!
The vegan tofu scramble was unbelievable
We love it here, any time we spend an overnight in Portland this is where we go for breakfast or brunch.
What can I say? Great food. Great service. Lovely atmosphere.
Eggs Benedict was amazing. Good portion. There were a couple other menu items I wanted to try. I might have to come back
The best gluten free waffles I have ever had. I wish I lived in Maine so I could come here for breakfast every weekend.
Wonderful staff! The pictures showed different than some of the food served. Not as done up. French toast, homefries, bacon, were good. Waffles were so so and soft. Unsalted butter on toast, hot cocoa was bland, ham flavorfless. Kids loved the chocolate milk. Maybe just not the place for our tastebuds but I see others enjoy this place and give it 5 stars.
Never had a bad meal here
The only time this place disappoints me is when they're booked and I can't get in. Accepts weekend brunch reservations, which is amazing if you want to go out with a group and not wait forever, which is a common problem in this city. The stuffed French toast specials have achieved local fame; yesterday I had blueberry hazelnut! The daily hash also gets super creative (my fav special so far has been some spicy Thai peanut chili concoction). Add to their art collection while you wait for food- every table has a paper cover and crayons. Be aware that they're easy to miss- it's really just a house, easy to drive by without realizing it's a restaurant.
Best breakfast around!
Do NOT miss out on this little gem! We'll be back whenever we can
Nice waitress, pretty standard fare though
Typical breakfast place. Had to wait an hour for brunch though. Super small inside.
Solid 4.7 stars for this place. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The food was delicious. I had the stuffed French toast with Apple crisp. It was filling. Excellent stop for those fof us that are foodies.
Very quaint place. They're servings are large, the staff are personable, and you can draw on the tables. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict, some of the best I've had.
Everything was amazing , food, atmosphere and staff. I had the crab and avocado Benedict and it was out of this world. Don’t miss breakfast here and try the lamb bacon if you are a meat eater. Heavenly is an understatement.
Delicious food! A little higher priced, but the food is locally sourced when possible. Very fresh, beautifully prepared, worth every penny!
Best breakfast around and gluten free options
We put in our name for a table of 4 and waited over an hour. When we came back for our reservation we were told the kitchen was backed up and we’d have to wait another 45 minutes. I saw two tables of 4 open and they refused to seat us. Three of the people working there started raising their voice at us while we were trying to speak to them calmly because they definitely messed up. One lady told us to find somewhere else to eat while she shooed us away with her hand.
Very good! Delicious coffee, waffles, and amazing omellets! The service was excellent too
Fantastic brunch food, I definitely recommend it. Lots of interesting menu options. The restaurant was a little hot, I only noticed one little window unit for AC, but it wasn't too uncomfortable.
Great little breakfast cafe. The ham and brie hash was awesome! Try the waffles too!
OMG, what can I say, food is amazing!!!! Service is friendly and on point . The owner is lovely. Can't give good enough reviews. Crab benedict, DELICIOUS
Always have the best food here! You can't go wrong. We absolutely love this place!!
Eggs Benedict was amazing, service super friendly. Will be back!
Great service. Everything gluten free-able.
Such great food
Great food great service
Food is great but parking and waiting outside when it is freezing can become an inconvenience.
Love this place try to go there when we can. The staff/waitress are always kind. Love the food
Awesome place. Great food!
Ate there this summer and the food wasn't very good. Had really high hopes, menu sounded delicious and the place looked great. Got our food and the eggs were over-cooked all the way around and the crab tasted old. Coffee was burned so bad I did not drink it. Step it up guys you have a good idea need way better execution on your food!!!!
Love the food here! Everything I have had is super tasty. Really into the gluten free waffles! Super tasty homemade bloody mary mix! Sometime long wait on the weekends if you don't make a reservation.
Great food, great drinks! Fun place!
Great service, delicious food, fun atmosphere, and gluten free menu options all in one place!
The food was great.
I had the huevos rancheros with pulled pork, it was amazing- so good. Definitely will be returning!
Fantastic home made corn beef hash! Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Excellent food with great options and inventive combinations.
Delicious food and fantastic service! Make a reservation if you want to eat here, we got in without one because we got here really early. Highly recommend this place!
Huevos rancheros here are the best. Very cute inside, wish Portland had more places like this
They were very accommodating with our gluten and dairy allergies. We met the owner and he was helpful and understanding with the food issues. Plus, you can play the ukulele while you wait, we did.
Food was great, place was kinda small but very nice. Pricing was a bit high, however I did love the food offered.
Soothing atmosphere, Great service! Our server was very nice and the food was fantastic. They provide crayons so you can draw on the paper table cover, good idea for the kiddos or a fun conversational piece for adults.
You absolutely have to try the lamb bacon. This is by far my wife's favorite place to treat ourselves in the morning. Plus who can complain when you have crayons to doodle on the table while you wait.
Stopped here while driving through Portland. Excellent food!
Service was great and the food was delicious! It's got a great atmosphere.
The food was great but parking was kind of tight.
Good quality of food. It is a quaint location with not much seating. It is obvious that the staff takes pride in their work. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for standard American fare.
Great spot for brunch
Neighborhood gem for breakfast and brunch. The food is made with care and attention and everything is flavorful and seasoned perfectly. This is not upscale dining, but breakfast comfort food at its best. It's a highly popular spot, so reservations are recommended - on weekends especially.
Nice place good food
One of my favorite brunch places nearby - that's saying something here in Portland!
Came here from Pittsburgh and let me say, this is the best breakfast food I’ve ever had. Absolutely amazing. Service was also great. Highly recommend
Great brunch! Call for reservations though if we didn't the wait was an hour. Price is average but food was a large portion. The atmosphere was laid back.
Amazing brunch!
Can be very busy. Call for a reservation. Great breakfast spot.
A great place for a quick bite with a friend. Had the Reuben and it was delicious! Will go again.
The atmosphere is fun and light, the food is heavy and delicious and the wait staff is courteous and efficient. If you don't mind occasionally having a small to medium wait to get in, you'll enjoy it and if you're a talented crayon creator, they might hang your tablecloth (Brown paper) art for all to see.
The restaurant is cute and quaint. No waiting area which is fine. We made reservations this morning and were seated late, again it was fine. Service was prompt after seating and our sever was quite nice. Food took well over 50 minutes to come out. Multiple tables who were seated after us waited much less. The food is not excellent, especially for that wait. The prices are reasonable. I would not recommend this restaurant if you want to have a normal brunch where you get your food in less than an hour. Go to one of the nicer restaurants in Portland over this place.
This place is a bit off the beaten path and not near downtown Portland which makes getting less accessible. But don't let that deter you. The food is top notch with traditional farm-to-table offerings combined with creativity to make a delicious meal. Parking is a bit tough and it is a small place. Again, totally worth the trip for something different when visiting Portland.
The wait was 40 min to get seated. Another 15 min before someone took our orders. Then another 30 min to get the food. If you are in a rush this is not the place to go. The food was ok. (Hit or. Miss depending on what you order)
well the wait for food isn't short... and they were out of the diablo sausage which was the best thing on the menu. and they have no soda. but they were nice... so there is that.
I had the Monte Cristo sandwich. It was very good. Potatoes were delicious and the coffee was smooth and tasty. Zach was a good server. Looking forward to trying more of the menu on our next trip to the big city.
OMG it's like a diamond in the rough it's in an unexpected location but the food is amazing and the staff super sweet.
Excellent brunch. Make sure to make a reservation! And carpool if you can, the parking lot is small.
Firetrap waiting to happen.
Food is fantastic so is the service! Have been here a few times, would highly recommend!
The lamb bacon and veggie pizza on waffles was amazing! We also had the jackfruit prepared to perfection! And I got to draw on the table with crayons! Heaven!!!!
Place has amazing reviews and can understand why. Coffee was really fresh using fresh ground beans. I had the Benedict special with mozzarella, pesto and tomato everything tasted fresh. Not too much hollindase either which I like. They got my poached eggs cooked perfectly hard which is hard for most places to understand that I like it this way. Definalty stop back when I am back in Portland.
Awesome breakfast spot. the waffle pizza (yes, a waffle with melted cheese and toppings) and the monte cristo sandwhich were memorable and filling in all of the right ways
Delicious food, great service. Lamb bacon? Shut up! Delicious.....
Amazing food, friendly, attentive staff and owner. Call ahead seating available!
Excellent food and service!
Best brunch drink menu ever! Food was fantastic as well. New favorite breakfast destination.
Phenomenal gluten-free brunch fare to share with friends and family. Be sure to make reservations. It's busy on weekends and holidays. They've dinner options some nights too. Check them out.
Cutest little restaurant with great food and super nice staff. Good prices.
Food is always great and customer service on point.
Great eggs Benedict with avocado and crab!
Their food was delicious, service prompt, and the price was reasonable. We'll be back!
Great positive experience with Sinful Kitchen today at our training/conference in South Portland. Dave was very professional and helpful at the event and made everything go smoothly. We will certainly be using him and his team again when we hold an event. Thanks again for the success of our event!
Friendly service with a cool atmosphere!! Really good creative food, but they are still nice about substitutions!
I have celiac and I got the gluten free cinnamon roll Belgian waffles and they were amazing !!! I highly recommend this place ! The gluten free English muffin and home fried and bacon were great too !
Fabulous and worth the wait
Delicious brunch, wonderful options, comfortable, fantastic service!
Breakfast food was delicious. Lots of unique breakfast items and some classics.
Great brunch spot. Everything on the menu can be made to be gluten-free and my entire party was very pleased with what they got. Good selection of brunch cocktails as well. Great specials.
Amazing food wonderful staff and delicious food
Excellent breakfast. Had the Huevos Rancheros.....could be the best I have ever had. Highly recommend!!
The place is great and the food marvelous, the lack of parking was a downside. The hour wait was worth it.
Food is great. Service is great. However, their lack of waiting area and tight space in general makes it a little physically uncomfortable. You really must have a reservation. There will be nowhere to wait, so do not come early. They will ask you to wait outside. Do not over stay your reservation as they will ask you to leave. I would recommend this restaurant with those cautions in mind.
Best hash I've had in a very long time
Went with another couple for brunch. Parking is tuff but locked out got a spot. Also locked out and got a table right away for there is no place inside to wait small place . But it is worth it the food was spot on and one of our party has food issues they are very accommodating in that respect . The wait staff is very friendly and helpful in you getting what you want will go back again
I ordered the tofu scramble which was pretty flavorless, after adding salt, pepper, and hot sauce it wasn't too bad. I was very excited that they have a vegan option but it was pretty disappointing, the portion was kind of small too. Service was ok, on a good note the drinks were good. Definitely make a reservation, we waited 45-60min for a table for 2 and there were 4 open tables when we were seated which was very frustrating.
I have had almost all of their french toast specials and they are truly amazing in your mouth. You cannot go wrong with anything on this menu. The flavored mimosas are amazing. Enjoy your inner child and color on the table and they hang it up! Inspirational business owners
