As you know, we do not usually bother to set reviews when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Seafood restaurant.
I love this place in the summer, especially on Sundays! Great, large patio over the water, a decent crowd and typically good live music. I've only sat inside a few times, but it's enough to say I definitely prefer the outdoor area. I don't know if it's the style they are looking for, but its a little rundown for my taste. Food is a fair price and decent. The Cajun fish tacos on blue corn tortillas are my favorite. However, it feels like the portion of fish has decreased over the past couple of summers. Very friendly servers, even when they are clearly busy, they still put in the extra effort and it shows. I will certainly be back for the patio, drinks, and summer fun!
If you take a trip up New England, you can't go wrong stopping in to the Porthole. Portions were big, the food was excellent and the service was top notch from the moment we entered until we left. The Fruits De Mar seafood platter is amazing. This place is quaint and historic real docks outside, sloping floors and watching the boats arriving and departing while you dine.
Dog friendly restaurant! They even bring water bowls for your dog before they take your order. Overlooking a wharf, you can watch boats going in and out. Great choices for seafood as well as other items. Huge selection of local beers and other alcoholic drinks. Special is the 2 whole lobster dinner with corn on the cob, potatoes, and a roll. Great desserts. Handicap accessible. Suggest eating during off hours otherwise the wait can be up to an hour. Highly recommend! Seating is also available inside.
First time in portland and wasnt sure where to go. Decided this would be the first spot. Was not disappointed. Food was fantastic. I had the twin lobster dinner and my fiance had the grilled jerk chicken sandwich. Everything was good the drinks were strong and staff was very attentive. Even said she was getting off shift and who would be taking her spot. If you are into lobster this is the spot. I paid 25 for two with potatoes and corn. If we come back to portland i will stop here again.
Everything was great! Was a good 1st restaurant experience in Maine. Allyson was a terrific waitress. We had the lobster roll, of course, the fish and chips, and the fresh clams (steamers). Drinks were good, too.
We had a wonderful dinner here for our weekend getaway. The food was incredible, the margaritas were delicious and the service was wonderful and friendly. Can't wait to have dinner here again when we're visiting Portland.
Nice deck dining. Omelette was perfect in the bright morning light.
Delicious food! Friendly service! Great value! Our waitress Allison took the time to explain how to open the lobster which was a big help!
Good food great atmosphere right next to the water on custom house Wharf in Portland Maine
Friendly staff and good food.
My new favorite place in Portland!! Fantastic outdoor seating (indoor space seems nice too!), fantastic quality food and drinks, fantastic service, fantastic outdoor dancing and dj! Had so much fun! Cantwait to go back!!!
Knowing she would be going to school in New England, daughter wisely waited to try lobster for the first time until we arrived in Maine. She was not disappointed. Our waiter, Logan, could see she had no idea what to do with the pair of crustaceans on her plate and happily demonstrated/tutored her on how to liberate the edible parts within. Although we had six in our party, and we sat outside on a warm day, our drinks were never empty. Logan had a full implement of tables yet never neglected any of them. The awesome service made the food that much better.

Really good atmosphere. Whenever there's live music, plan on waiting 45-60 minutes for a table outside.....definitely worth it as you can drink outside on the deck while you wait. Lobster roll was good but the New England clam chowder was less than good.
Great little place on the wharf. Cold drinks and I loved the loaded nachos! A lot of people were enjoying lobster and other seafood
Stephanie was a genuinely nice! Great service.
Best fish and chips you will find and massive portion too. Outstanding deck, good live music. Beer selection good but not outstanding. Allover great place.
I LOVED it Friendly waiting people I had the Fish
Outdoor seating in the summertime is just ideal. The band playing was too cool, and the food was killer!
This is a nice campground on Trickey Pond. Overall, pretty quiet, but, you better have a good set of ear plugs when the band is playing--very, very loud. I think I am just too old to appreciate it. Good woof fired pizza and, love the ice cream.

Casco Bay Omelet made a great breakfast with an unbeatable view (see pics) sitting outside. Thanks to Jose at Portland Regency Hotel valet parking for the tip!
Excellent food, pricing is fair and it's by the water. Not likely to drive out of my way to go there again but if I was within walking distance it would be at the top of my list for excellent seafood at a fair price, good service and an awesome atmosphere. Crab cakes were good as well as the blackened salmon. Too bad about the parking and driving situation
Porthole was recommended to us because they had amazing food apparently. We are from Canada. When we got to the door, the security guy asked for our ID's, no problem we showed our canadian driver's licence. After analysing the situation he decided to ask for our passport. Of course we didn't had them on us. So we got refused to enter. Yes we have the drinking age. Maybe Porthole should change that policy or rule. Sadly we never got to taste their food.
Amanda is the sweetest angel and this place is just the cutest! Had a really good breakfast there!
Not the best service but good price for good seafood

Staff is definitely not friendly including the owner. Because of their marketing, they have a lot of people going to them from cruise ships. There are many seafood restaurants near by, look around you will find better ones. By the way take a look at all the 5 star ratings, given by local guides, not actual customers in my opinion.
We ordered the ultimate nachos at this place and never seen such delicious nachos tossed with beans, jalapenos, melted cheese. It tastes very good and everyone loved it. The portion of the appetizer is very big and enough for 6 people. Also, I had one of the best chicken burger (Jamaican Jerk) here at this restaurant. I definitely suggest this place for everyone to try at least once.
Great view right on the water along the working fishing/lobstering pier with good values lobster dinner!
Went for lunch and the waitress seated us at a table with bird poop and left we had to tell the waiter to clean it off. We had crab cakes which they were good but the onion rings which were cold and took 35 minutes to get... Our meal came shortly there after. We had pappardelle alfredo it was cold, and a sandwich with fries and they were cold. People that came after us received their appetizers before us ... so depressing.....
By far the best deal on lobster. The lobster is fresh as you can get it. They get it right off the boat. Waitresses were nice, priced very very affordable.
I prefer a burger from Five Guys than this place.
Good location, food and service was great. Would definitely recommend this place
Food & view was nice. Good restaurant if you have a dog. Found hostess to be a bit off-putting but server was pleasant. Good place for breakfast or lunch but too crowded & loud in the evening...bar crowd.
2 pounds of lobster in one lobster roll. YUM!
Pleasant waterfront patio. Affordable drinks. Not very fond of the food. Seafood was overcooked and not enough quantity to share.
Great atmosphere. Food and spirits fantastic
Lobster was very tender and sweet and the lobster bisque very creamy with big chunks of lobster
The lobster was to die for! 10/10
Great food and the patio is right on the water. There was live music going on while we were there as well. Servers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
Good food, great view. We went for breakfast and I got the corned beef hash and eggs and I got hollandaise on top, it was amazing.
Views of the warf from a fisherman's perspective, oh yea great food and drinks too.
Stopped in for Lobster Rolls while on a cruise, they were recommended by a local tour salesperson to us. Very Good. They are a busy place, expect quite a wait only downfall we experienced.
Good service. Food was excellent. Very friendly staff.
Music was great. But I don't think I would eat here. It's a party atmosphere on a Friday early evening.
Food is mediocre at best. Home fries consistently cold and undercooked and fruit salad tastes old and a bit off.
Great weather, service, and most important, LOBSTER.
Love this place. Cheap drinks and dog friendly what else do you need.
Ordered a marinated beet salad and was very disappointed. The beet cubes were pretty decent, but the arugula pieces were big and tough and some of them were even turning yellow!! I couldn't chew enough to make them edible. I was appalled that they would serve food with such low quality ingredient. Only couple days before, we had dined in Newport, RI, at a restaurant called The Mooring Seafood Kitchen and Bar and their arugula salad was fabulous-- soft and tender and tasty. I recommend staying away from this place and instead go to the adjacent Boone's restaurant.
Busy day, but they managed to make space for us. Good food.
Nice people good food
Food was meh. Everything deep fried.
Atmosphere is great! Lobster amazing! And several options for those who don't like seafood!
Good value, busy place a variety of wholesome fish dishes
Fun spot, low key dining and drinking; had the two Maine lobster deal was great. Marie was fun to talk too
My food was cold. My drink was not good. My appetizers and dinner came out at the same time and both were cold. I came because the restaurant was on Tripple d’s and I thought why not. I was VERY disappointed. Very very disappointed and my husband didn’t like his food either. The artichoke dip was runny and wet. His haddock sandwich was dry and my burger didn’t taste like much.
Food was good, and the service was fine. However, if you are from the south or Midwest, avoid the iced tea. Otherwise, a good place to eat.
Second time there. Still the finest lobster roll I've ever had. Have a Shipyard beer to go with it.
I went there with my wife on Wednesday for lunch, and I absolutely loved the place. Excellent lobster and a good selection of beer to go along with a nice atmosphere. Logan, our waiter, was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of during our time there. Overall, money well spent!
Great spot for outdoor dining on the water. There's also an inside area you can sit at. Parking is tough, use a lot.
Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Watch your lobster being delivered from the deck.
Great menu in unique harborside wharf setting
Ate here February 2019, got the lobster roll, packed full of lobster and delicious, and I am not a big lobster eater. Definitely coming back next time I'm here! My friend's also enjoyed their meals
Bartender was great, drinks spot on an the clam chowder is one of the best I have ever tasted. Steak tips were also done perfectly. Make sure you try this place you will not regret it.
Food was awesome and service was great.
Great lobster rolls and clam chowder. Great service. Great food. Awesome!
Went here for breakfast and ordered the lobster Rockford. It was easily the worst dish I've ever had. Very little lobster with eggs and a biscuit drowning in some sort of crema sauce. Very unappetizing.
Great food, service and live music
The food was just okay - nothing special. Maybe it would have been different I'd we had ordered the lobster meal. The restaurant has a very large deck along the water for which to eat upon -- or share drinks with friends. The night we went that had live music, which was actually very good!
Got the total on our check wrong twice, which seemed a bit slack or even worse. Food was ok, but meal was soured by this.
The location is great. We were not impressed by the food. I ordered fish tacos and there were barely any fish. My brother had the seafood platter and more than half was waffle fries. The other three meals we have ordered were ok. We won’t be back. The waitress was very nice but forgetful at times.
The service is slow and the food is ok. The outdoor bar kept us busy though.
Service was great, and the food was really well made. I'd definitely go here again if I had a car or something, my parents are the ones who are taking me and my little brother on a vacation. Anyway, this place is great, hands down one of the best sea food restaurants I've ever eaten at. I had shrimp, and I usually hate shrimp, but DANG, this place has great shrimp. The lobster is also good. About the service, the service was amazing, the lady was really nice and she helped carry all the food to our table even though I think she is allowed to just go walk over, I dunno, I'm not too experienced with these people. The place was very active and many customers were there. It probably gets tons of customers. Anyway, great place, five stars, hands down the best sea food restaurant I've ever eaten at. It's definitely not frozen food, I'm sure of it.
Great place for a good bite. Not cheap though. Very friendly staff, dogs allowed on the deck!
Awesome food and beer. Staff is beyond exceptional. Super friendly and personable.
Best lobster roll evahhhhhh! Service was wonderful. Atmosphere was awesome. Definitely going back!
Great place!! Good food, service slacking. Because was busy. But waiter was trying his best. Popular spot in Portland.
I had the blackened salmon and lobster roll. Both are probably second to none. The blueberry Margarita's are phenomenal! Great wait staff
The Porthole was good but not great. I had the fish tacos which were good. My wife had the crab cakes which were not very good. We did like like the clam chowder and it was nice sitting outside. I understand that they are known for a 2 lobster special for $25.
We arrived around 7:15pm with such enthusiasm for the Twin Lobster special, unfortunately they had just run out of lobster for the day. The place had a great local vibe and prices were very reasonable.
Beautiful location, good prices, and the lobster was unbelievably delicious! Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Kudos!
This place has a great view and had good drink specials, even on a Friday afternoon! Our server was great. My husband enjoyed the haddock nuggets immensely (and he doesn't even really like seafood). I thought the clam chowder was pretty good. We waited maybe 30 minutes and it was worth it.
Maybe not fair because I didn’t actually eat there. Last summer my wife and I sat ourselves and waited for a waitress. After ten minutes we got up and walked out. I’m in town and just happened to wander in and sat for five minutes without being waited on again. Do yourself a favor and go to the Bone Fish house next door. Great service and food.
One of the best local restaurant and pub in Portland which offer reasonable price for lobsters($24 twin lobster
Delicious super fresh seafood in a laid back old school restaurant. Don't be fooled by the exterior.
Great lobster rolls on the water!! Family friendly! (They have high chairs and allow strollers
The staff was terrible! They sat us by the wait staff serving area. They were all complaining about their job and the guests(who included us) Annoyed with anyone who walked up. my waitress forgot my drink twice. Disappeared, didn’t seem to care. It was worst experience in Maine.
Fantastic! Twin lobster dinner...OMG it was amazing!
Wait staff very pleasant and knowledgeable GREA FOOD WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE
Nicely umbrella'd outside tall tables and picnic tables. Good service good food good day and they're also hatchling seagulls to watch
Pretty terrible experience. The servers all seemed wither too stoned or hungover to care about their jobs. Anytime we asked a question it was like pulling teeth to get an answer or simple comprehension. The food was decent but the breakfast buffet was neglected. They were still seating people for the buffet but there was hardly any food on their. I heard someone ask the kitchen to refill it several times and nothing. The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars vs 1 is because the quiche was absolutely delicious. I just wish they would have put some more out in the 45 minutes we were there.
The Porthole has a great outdoor space. They have good drink specials and great live bands. This is a Portland Old Port institution and well worth the visit.
Standard fare done well. Killer nachos. Avocado fries are a must! Our server was super friendly. It's a bit of a hole in the wall, but the outside patio is nice.
Good lobster rolls and burgers. Prices ok.
Good food and good service, but not the best place in the area. It's good for a quick lunch and you can sit on the deck on the pier, which is nice. The order wasn't quite right, but not really a big deal. The server seemed to be overwhelmed, but she handled things really well and was prompt to our table. The lobster roll was ok, but the bread wasn't my favorite. So many other places nearby have a better lobster roll, but the prices here are some of the lowest I've seen around. Again, the clam chowder was just ok. With so many other places having better versions, it's important to make the comparison.
A mosh pit. Good if you like it. Everyone (150+) seemed to be enjoying themselves.
This is the place to eat dinner in Portland. Not to fancy, not too expensive, just seafood prepared well. The lobster rolls are delicious and bigger than you expect. The 2 whole lobster dinner is great too
Service was great. Maine stuffed mushrooms were fabulous. Lobsters were really good. Thank you Porthole
My god what a great place. Staff was fun, lively and haloy, not miseries at all. Food was fabulous and the prices were not, in my eyes, bank breaking. Live band, by the outside bar, that was not over-blaringly loud, fun crowd, and, nice outside deck seating. Here's the kicker, when they say dog friendly, they are not kidding. My boy had a ball playing with all the other dogs, and people while waiting to be seated, than, he got to sit, on the deck, over the water, right under our table. Great place to check out when in that part of Maine.
Great vibe. Outdoor seating was nice. I had the fish tacos.. I've had better. Some of the appetizers were really good.
Great food, great service, great price. A definate 5 star.
Great food and atmosphere. Live music was great
We had dinner on the porch. Excellent service. Food was delicious. Large portions. Reasonablely priced.
The food at this restaurant was delicious. A must try for breakfast is the Casco Bay Omelet, and the Lobster Rockport. Wow. Amazing. The steak and eggs was very tasty. At night theres live music. The service was great. Our server was very friendly. If Im ever in Maine I will definitely go back.
Once in a lifetime experience. Very genuine establishment with great space and atmosphere. Prices are fantastic compared to others. Always entertainment.
We had the spinach dip, oysters, Cajun fish tacos and twin lobsters. The food was fantastic and so was the service. The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere was nice. We would certainly return if we get back to Maine.
A little gem tucked just off the main commercial road. I heard of this place as a suggestion from one of the people working the info booths around town. Please do not let the non tourists street fill you, this place is amazing. One side is outsie bar only and the other side is outside seating, bar and restaurant. You can eat inside or eat outside watching the water. I opted for inside because I needed to charge my phone. Good food, great portion sizes that won't hurt your wallet. This will now be my go to place next time I am in Portland.
Great place, good prices and helpful friendly staff.
Breakfast diner tucked in the alley. Food and atmosphere are awesome.
I had the blackened salmon and lobster roll. Both are probably second to none. The blueberry Margarita's are phenomenal! Great wait staff
Fast, friendly, great food with a great view. I did is spacious, howe6we ate outside. What a beautiful view. Was able to see Lobster boats come in and go out. Kids and adults enjoyed that! The food was great! Large portions, especially the appetizers.
Love the deck and thanks for letting us bring our dog Samantha! Best breakfast!
The bar has now been set pretty high in our pursuit of great lobster! Exceptional service with super fresh and tender lobster! Delish!!
Awesome service, good quick food and live music
The Porthole was good but not great. I had the fish tacos which were good. My wife had the crab cakes which were not very good. We did like like the clam chowder and it was nice sitting outside. I understand that they are known for a 2 lobster special for $25.
Porthole, PLEASE stop using plastic utensils individually wrapped in more plastic. I can’t even imagine how much of this plastic is going off your deck and straight into the ocean. In this day and age, this is unacceptable.
Tiny. Search people at the ten tables not necessarily in order of arrival. Wouldn't go back! Basic waterfront seafood, but nothing special
Always great food and drinks. Recommend the outdoor seating.
Twin lobsters for $25, comes with red skinned potatoes, corn, and a roll. Fantastic deal. Love the restaurant. Beer-Shipyard is a must.
Had the fish tacos (amazing) and also had the calamari appetizer. I've never had it over arugula and usually you have a sauce to dip it in, this came with a dressing over it that was amazing as well
This is our favorite restaurant we've been to in Portland! Be prepared to wait a long time, but it is so worth it! We had a drink on the deck and listened to the band while we waited. The food was fantastic! Great portions at a great price! Super friendly and helpful wait staff too! I can't say enough good things!
Very good live music
Great food. Great service. Great location. We loved our visit. The view was really fun, watching the fisherman come in with their catches.
Our visit to the Porthole Restaurant was a lucky change of plans. We were to have dinner elsewhere in town but the wait was far too long. We meandered down the main street and came upon the Porthole. To sum it up, our appetizers and meals were absolutely delicious, the waiter was kind and very efficient and the duo.. Christy Ray duo were excellent and played a wide variety of songs. They also serve an affordable lobster dinner that was huge and looked delicious. Check out the Porthole located on the Wharf in Portsmouth, ME.
Super fun experience. We went after dark and they're playing live music outside. The live music was very fun and Lively, and all the drinks were very reasonably priced. The atmosphere very fun.
The venue is awesome, if you can get a seat outside! We had to wait a while in order to get one, but it was nice once we did. They have live bands playing which is not, and does not overpower any table conversations. The wife had lobsters and she loved them. I had steak tips and they were not the best. The price was really good for being right on the water. I think we walked into the place on the backside, which was a little sketchy since it seemed like a back alley. Overall it was a good experience!
Everything was awesome. I got the Crab Burger and was not disappointed. Honestly I don't think we had any complaints besides it being a bit chilly outside (which I'm not holding against the restaurant because it's obviously not their fault lol).
Good food and service.
Do not start a tab!!! At the end of the night I was outside with my friends for a bit, once I came back in to close out my tab they said they "thought I left" so they added even more money to it. Ended up charging me $60 for two drinks and a $12 meal and I was never able to see the charges!
Good lobster dinner, good service. Music not too loud. Recommend
Had fish and chips and clam chowder. Both were especially good. Another great place to eat. It's down on the wharf and the waterfront on Costco Bay. Very old place! It was a wonderful experience!
Went to celebrate my birthday in Portland, Maine and had a wonderful time. The next morning we went looking for a place to have breakfast and found The Porthole. The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent.
Fantastic, especially this time of year. No waiting, no waiting!
Oysters! Oysters! Oysters! Yes, sometimes the wait can be long but there is a reason my group and I came back twice in three days. We couldn’t get enough! All of our wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was spot on each time.
Ate here for breakfast a couple times and loved it. Great service and food.
The food was atrocious and came out from the kitchen slow. They not only ran out of the beer we ordered, but everything came out from the kitchen cold. The fish was overcooked, mussels broth had no flavor, and the chowder unimpressive. Our waiter was kind but not attentive because he was very busy. Come here for drinks, the view and live music. Eat dinner somewhere else. So disappointing.
Worst customer service and beef jerky for a chicken sandwich. I will not return to this restaurant.
Great food. Good drinks. A little wait to get seated but wait for food was twice as long. Tables that came after us were served before and getting dessert by the time we got our meals.
Great food - fresh lobster. Atmosphere was really cool, ate outside on the dock. Try their pumpkin beer...it so good!!!
Great indoor/outdoor restaurant on the water. Local told have this was the best/largest lobster roll in town for the price. I don't thin he was wrong. Fish tacos were also great and you got 3 large tacos for very reasonable price.
I came to The Porthole for the first time today and had breakfast. Sitting at the copper topped counter, I was served a great cup of coffee. I ordered the Corned Beef breakfast and was floored by what I got. This was no canned corned beef. It was a good sized portion of shredded and cooked on the griddle with real, perfectly tender hand cut potatoes. The eggs over easy were just right, and even the toast was great! If they set another plate of it in front of me I would have eaten that with abandon as well. I WILL be back for breakfast again!
Great patio on the water. live music Sunday in summer.
Good food, wonderful atmosphere, good price. 2 lobsters for 25.00
Nice place food average. Double lobsters $24.95 which is nice.
We had a great time! Service was great and food was amazing.
Love there blackened haddock. So many good times at the porthole great place to hang out
Pretty good breakfast. Nice staff.
Stopped in for dinner. Great entertainment! Love outdoor atmosphere. We were lucky enough to see a blue lobster!
Best of the best of the best lobster. Twin lobster at market price (which is $24.95). You can't beat this.
Yummy food! Nice atmosphere
Great food. Great service. Great location. We loved our visit. The view was really fun, watching the fisherman come in with their catches.
Awesome Service
Great local place. All the locals go there. The best lobster roll I had was the best ever with huge chunks of lobster. Great clam chowder too. Very crowded on the weekends but in nicer weather they have outside seating on the boardwalk. Great food and a great place to meet friends.
Our visit to the Porthole Restaurant was a lucky change of plans. We were to have dinner elsewhere in town but the wait was far too long. We meandered down the main street and came upon the Porthole. First off the Lobster Bisque is great. If you go, get that. Now for the bad news. While the staff was very nice, they were very slow and unorganized. A group (with more people) sat down 10 minutes after us and got their food 10 minutes before us. (After the staff tried to put it all on our table). I had fish and chips and the chips were the highlight. That’s not what you want at a sea food place in Maine. They also mixed up the order of another in my group. Bottom line, you have better options in the Old Port.
Great seafood fresh delicious and well prepared. Perfect example of a great Portland restaurant. Love music, Pepperell Square, while we were there made for great ambiance
If I lived in Portland, I'd eat here every day!! Excellent food and service!
We went on a Saturday morning. It wasn’t too busy maybe 1/3 of the tables were seated, we were seated quickly, but then no server came to our table for over 10 minutes (and we had to ask the hostess to get them). They got us coffee and water, took out order, and then never came back to our table. We were out of coffee and water, and saw tons of staff goofing off and having loud conversations (including complaints about fellow customers and hearing the chef say they were behind 20-30 minutes—which you should tell your customers this). 40 minutes from being seated to deciding to leave, no refills even offered the entire time. We had to ask the hostess again to get our waiter, and to cancel our order, and get the bill for the coffee. Staff came over and stated our coffees were on the house and we could leave. Beyond disappointment to see so much goofing off when your customers are clearly suffering.
Awesome service. Great people. Good location. OUTSTANDING FOOD!!! Never had so much meat on a lobster roll
Fantastic experience overall. We have a 10 month old baby who is already trying to walk everywhere and she was perfectly welcome to walk around the deck while we waited for our table and while we waited for our food. There was live music and lots of people and even dogs to entertain her. The environment is casual but the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had to breastfeed and I went into the bathroom for privacy but a lady staff member saw me and let me use the restaurants private lounge. To top it off all the food my husband and I had was great! Try the fried avocado
Amazing beers and ordered the twin lobsters which i thought was a bargin. Staff was so friendly aswell.
Came here a lot 10 years or more ago. Great service and food etc. Came back today 8/6/19 things have changed for the worse!!!!
Torn between a 2 & a 3 on this one. It wasn't terrible, but it's sadly at the bottom on our list of places we've been to on our New England trip. The food was okay, but our haddock and crab cakes were covered up by the over-sized bun. My husband & I both removed the buns and were able to enjoy the seafood more. Onion rings are not worth the upcharge. I like onion rings for the onion which was majorly lacking. Service was fine until the end when our server spent >10 mins. scrubbing an outdoor wall which we could see. After looking over to us multiple times, she finally sent a different server over with our bill. That just seemed a bit strange to me. For me, customers always came before completing side work.
Great location, terrible food, fair service at best
Food was delicious and the service was great! The outdoor seating is awesome when weather permits! Twin lobster special is a steal!
The physical building is a little rundown, but the outdoor space and the food were great. I had a fabulous lobster roll with drawn butter. So delicious!
Super fun experience. We went after dark and they're playing live music outside. The live music was very fun and Lively, and all the drinks were very reasonably priced. The atmosphere very fun.
SlOW start getting something to drink but in the end it turned out pretty good.
