We were staying at the hotel next door and were tired and hungry so we stopped in for dinner. The staff was friendly and service was good. The food was just ok, nothing special. I had the lobster roll, there was plenty of lobster but no mayo or dressing on it so it was pretty dry, definitely not as good as others I had on our visit to Maine.

Not that great. Food was meh. Seafood was okay but not that fresh, mashed potatoes were somewhat bland. Service was super slow, took me well over 20 minutes just to get my beer. Underwhelmed.

I had a great dinner with my family last night. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the stuff haddock. My wife had stuffed shrimp and clam chowder. My son and wife had fish and chips. Prices were affordable. Atmosphere was cozy. The singer-guitarist was awesome!!! I plan a summer return.

The decor is nice though it smells like in Las Vegas casino , the food —- meeh. Had the chowder - which was great but too creamy , the Caesar salad was ok , the pasta was subpar for the price - first the kitchen made a mistake substituting jumbo shrimp for regular , then when they made right - it wasn’t fresh - and game a stomach ache after. I would star 2 , but the older lady server provided great service. Atmosphere 3 Service. 5 Food. 2 Won’t eat again

I can't tell you how many times I've driven by the Maine Table and not given them a second thought - thinking that they're just a new Governors or another hotel buffet - How Wrong I Was!!! We went there on Saturday 1/27/18 for our belated company Christmas party and we were treated like Kings & Queens - Delicious Apps & Sides ( The Nasty Nachos & French Onion Soup were AMAZING!! ) I then moved on to the Rib Eye - melt in your mouth perfection - and then followed that up with one of the best pieces of Lava Cake I've had! I can't wait to go back and try out more of the menu! Thanks Howard & Misty for a great evening to remember!

I had a reservation for 3 people on a Thanksgiving buffet not very impressed where we were seated. The food was so so, nothing was special. Loster rolls were hard as a rock, but service was great.

So glad I finally stopped at The Maine Table after avoiding it for 2 years because I was not impressed by its curb appeal. Cocktails, food, and service exceeded my expectations. The quiet, cozy atmosphere enhanced my enjoyment. I will return soon.

Although the food itself was prepared quite well, we waited for 50 minutes for the main entree to arrive - and had to rush thru dinner in order to make other plans happen. I wasn't too overly impressed with the decor, time taken, etc. Most likely will not return simply because there is so many other places to explore.

The food wasn't bad--although virtually every element was undercooked--but there are much better places to eat for the price. The staff was pleasant, if a bit frazzled. If you're staying in the hotel it's not a bad dinner option, but there are so many world class restaurants just minutes away...

This little hidden gem is amazing. The people are sweet as can be and the food is beyond amazing. The food not only tastes fresh it comes out pretty quickly too. Thanks to the manager for the amazing food. Be back before I head home.

Very beige decor. The lobster mac’n cheese was a actually penne pasta with barely melted Kraft cheese. Clean and nice service but I can’t really recommend this place it was just so mediocre.

This restaurant is in the Best Western motel right next to the Quality Inn where we were staying, so it was convenient to eat here on the night before an early flight out the next morning. I ordered a side of mac and cheese, and the serving was very generous. My husband had a haddock sandwich which was also large. Bill with one beer and tip was $31.

Dinner for two. Appetizer: Pub pretzels. 7 dollars should get you more than 2 frozen box pretzels and a dish of Sysco bag cheese to dip it in. I've never been more disappointed with salty bread dipped in cheese in my life. Meal 1: New York sirloin with baked potato. Steak was cooked as requested, however quality and freshness is suspect. At 21 dollars, it's tough to complain, but you'll probably regret your decision. Baked potato tasted like dirt and was about as fresh as the pretzels. Meal 2: Pulled pork with fries. Pork and/or slaw tasted rancid. Completely inedible. French fries were out of a bag. Meal 2 was sent back and no alternative was selected. The ice in the water even had a musty taste. Bombed out at jump street. The server was pleasant and efficient. This was the lone redeeming aspect of the visit. This is a half star review. Do yourself a favor and go to McDonald's. At least they don't hide the fact that it's all frozen. Your wallet will appreciate it. Hard pass on the Maine Table.

Absolutely the worst dinner I’ve ever had in Maine, fish was very fishy, over cooked. We told the waitress about the food and never saw her again, sat there for over ten minutes, we Just walked out. Terrible,terrible service and food

Stopped by during the dinner rush and placed aa to go order. Was taken care of quickly. Lobster roll was tasty and had a good amount of meat. But the clam chowder... Do NOT miss it. It was fabulous. One of the best clam chowders I've ever had. Creamy and delicious, the broth wasn't thin, and was brimming with delicious clams and potatoes. I should have ordered the bowl instead of the cup. Will definitely return for the chowder

My baked haddock was drowned in a "mystery yellow sauce." Since when is baked stuffed haddock served like eggs benedict? The "stuffed part" was a layer of bread crumbs on the plate that the haddock concoction sat upon. We also ordered baked stuffed "jumbo" shrimp. Houston...when the stuffing glob is larger than the shrimp...then we have a problem...Definitely not "jumbo shrimp." Lastly, the drinks took forever. Not sure why because there was only about 10 people in the restaurant..but he was also occupied with his friends at the bar and the TV. Also..don't pay mind to the drinks that state "fresh maine blueberries" they don't include them..and the waitress informed us they are frozen...um that nulls out "fresh" people! The only good thing.... the live music. Literally that's it. Save your money...That is all!

Long wait for meals. Made reservations for 14 for breakfast at 8:30 AM. We arrived within the allotted time (between 8:30-8:45) Was greeted by friendly waitress and seated.There were no other customers in the restaurant. The waitress took our orders within 20 minutes ; returned a while later with juices and coffee.By 9:30 we were still waiting for our orders and had not seen the waitress since she brought coffee. I went looking for her and found another waitress in the Breakfast Lounge ( for guests) and explained my concern and asked if she could find our waitress. I found her in the kitchen helping with order so I went back and sat down. A short time later she started to bring out our meals. We never received our meals all at the same time. She brought them out 3 at a time. By the time the first group had finished eating, the last group received their breakfast. She apologized and said they only had one cook. When she brought our check, she said they had taken 10% off meal. We left at 10:35 AM. The meals were good with the exception of one whose food was cold. The one positive note was the restaurant had been renovated and looked very nice.

Let me start by saying the food was excellent. There was only one waiter and service was extremely slow. When we came, we waited for several minutes before anyone acknowledged we were waiting. Tables remained uncleared for at least 20 minutes during our dinner. A real shame because we enjoyed the food and ambiance.

Our friend Kip treated us ( 15 adults and 2 young children) to a wonderful meal at The Maine Table. Shawn , our server, was absolutely wonderful. Full of patience while we waited for some late arrivals. The food we ordered ranged from reubens, burgers, scallops, pizza and baked haddock in wine sauce ( cooked to perfection) was the best. A big shout out to the Chef! So Shawn, we hope you will be there the next time we visit, we need more servers like you! Keep up the smiles and good work!

The food is standard institutional fare, but for the Portland area this is sub-standard. The advertised "chef's fresh greens" in my salad were iceberg and romaine, the dressing bottled. The "Maine blueberry" margarita was very sweet, flavorless and lacked alcohol. But the music was nice for St. Paddy's Day and the folks at my table were happy with their food. As for me, I'll choose to spend my $ at any of the many better options this area has to offer.

Went last weekend around 5:45pm on a Friday. Restaurant wasn't super busy, Jayne three other tables. Waitress was very nice, it was her first time waiting tables. However, it was a long wait time for food. We waited at least a half an hour for our food, if not more. My fiance had the lobster mac and cheese which he thought was good, but a bit pricey. I ordered a burger, medium, that came out well done. We didn't have time to wait for me to send it back so I didn't bother. Fries were good though.

We went to their Easter buffet. The food was very good. However an 18% gratuitee was added to our bill. This was not communicated in their advertisement or posted. An 18% gratuitee is extreme and was quite a surprise for buffet service. Especially when we waited 10 minutes initially to be aknowleged by our server. We won't return for any holiday buffets.

The water was okay.... And that was the best part First of all, ordered pretty quickly then told no cheese for pretzels 30 mins later to get the appetizers and then there was a pretzel brought out with cheese that they made but pretty much frozen box pretzels... You don't get a choice of sides which is weird Every meal had an element that either tasted old, microwaved or imitation (which isn't specified) Also, 2 members of our party bit into either bone or shell from their meals.. Don't waste your money, you can make better spending $20 or less at home

Menu is very similar to the nearby Coppersmiths. Good service, drinks, seafood, flatbread pizza, sandwiches and salads... not so good nachos. The place has a hotel lounge feel, lots of tables and seats at the bar are almost always available. I give them five stars to balance the fussy complainers giving bad reviews. This is not black tie dining, but they are quite good.

I stopped by The Maine Table on my way home from work to grab a drink and go over some last minute presentation work- I didn't expect to stay for dinner but I'm SO glad that I did. The food and service was amazing and I will definitely be back soon. The décor is really beautiful and I noticed they had all kinds of artwork for sale which hung on the walls. The artwork is all created from Veteran's and a portion of the sale goes to a cancer center in Maine. This is what supporting local is all about!

We have stayed here many times. The lobster Mac and cheese last night was very dry, and not much lobster. Over priced at $22.95. The bottle budweiser beer is $4.00 during happy hour. Also over priced for happy hour. We have had other meals that were good, just not this stay. Maybe next time.

We started with onion rings as an appetizer, and they were delicious. For the main course, I had the shrimp scampi, which is usually made with jumbo shrimp, and they had no problem substituting the small Maine shrimp instead. My friend had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes with broccoli and carrots. Everything was fantastic, the atmosphere is great and the prices are normal for a restaurant of this caliber. Our waitress, Meghan was phenomenal throughout the meal as well. I will be returning here many times in the future. The best restaurant experience I've had in quite sometime, and we eat out several times a week.

The food is kind of expensive but it's great food! I kind of think it's like an older person restaurant, but I'm only a teen and I could've just been there with a bunch of older people. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and there are lots of nice decorations.
