REVIEWS OF Street & Co IN Maine

Ross Weber

Street remains one of the best restaurants in Portland. I have never had a bad meal at Street & Co in over 20 years. If you can only get to one restaurant in Portland, Maine, Street is it! Enjoy!!

Dan Granucci

Excellent food and service. We started with oysters inside at the bar and then sat outside for dinner. The linguine with clams were very good.

KayB

Best dinner I had during my two week vacation in Maine. The food and service was excellent. I had the sole francaise, muffuletta salad and chicken liver mousse...all were amazing, so well prepared and presented. I will make it a point to eat here again next time I’m in Portland.

John Vo

Probably the best meal we had during our three night stay in Portland. We had to wait almost 90 minutes to get seated but we're able to help the time pass by, by waiting in the bar area and ordering a few apps. We had the smoked salmon deviled eggs and some kind of swordfish stuffed in a pepper.

Misteerr RERR

- Next to the dish station. My ears hurt and I still have lowered hearing. We couldn't here each other depending on the amount of dishes. Unbelievable! - Have to work with the animal. I expect the kitchen to do most part - The taste was nothing special. Sorry, but for this price, the food can not be justified at all.

David Rutkosky

This place is amazing! The restaurant is located on a small, cobblestone street in the Old Pier part of town. The interior feels like an old nautical establishment. There is some exposed brick on the all, wooden ceiling beams, and dried herbs hanging from the ceiling like something out of the Hobbit. The food is, no exaggeration, some of the best I've had. The ingredients are super fresh and the flavors are complex and unique. I had a Chanterelle and goat cheese pate to start, calamari puttanesca appetizer, and broiled scallops for the entree. All were served with a simple presentation but the textures and flavors were awesome! I highly recommend this place for someone willing to spend a couple extra bucks to get something really spectacular.

Phubes Asavasatitporn

Food took an hour. I had the scallops; the sauce was so salty not sure if they spilled the salt. Soup of the day was nothing special.

Mark Daigle

Excellent food! Not even really a sea food fan and this place changed that for me. The grilled swordfish was amazing! Took my wife for her birthday and she loved it. I would recommend to any sea food lover.

Jaclyn Berkley

Potentially my favorite restaurant of all time! Don’t miss out on the mussels and sole!

Michael Roesch

Superb! Highly recommended. Typically crowded but waiting area is rather spacious and comfortable. Drinks and small bites are also served while waiting and the hosts are outstanding in keeping everyone informed about their place in line. Excellent selection of local oysters and great seafood options. The clam linguine were amazing. Reserve room for dessert.

John Turnmire

Absolutely delicious food. Reservations are a must because it's booked every night. You can walk in at 5:00PM and get on a daily walk in list. The host will select a time slot so you can leave and come back (instead of waiting in line for hours). Worth the effort. My only complaint is that our waitress was absent pretty much the entire time. Fortunately this restaurant operates as a team so the food came out in spite of her absence, but honestly for a $175 bill I shouldn't have to pour my own wine. Otherwise I doubt you'll be disappointed and the food is exquisite.

Leslie Mulcahy

Great food, delightful service, nice vibe.

Sugar Pop

Saw a line forming before restaurant opened at 5pm. Also heard rave reviews so decided to give it a shot. The octopus appetizer was so delicious. Ordered the broiled halibut. Just so everyone knows they make their halibut medium rare. Never heard of such a thing on this fish. Tuna I can understand. So be cautious and ask for well done.

Patricia Ficachi

Great lobster! A bit pricey but the service was great. We got there late (about an hour before closing time) and they served us just as usual

Schemell Weech

Loved the food, the service and the vibe of this place. Fresh seafood, well prepared and beautifully presented!

Brittany Dwyer

Shrimp linguine was fantastic. Food and service great.

Alexander Xu

I think Street's sister restaurant is Scales - both serve great lobster naturally

Martin Leroux

Owned by the same group that runs Fore Street, so our expectations were high. We didn't have a reservation, but we showed up early and ate at the bar, next to the gorgeous oyster display. The clams amatriciana were a great entree, but my seafood stew was out of this world delicious. The sauce was lobster-y and rich, the fish cooked perfectly. One of the best dishes I've eaten in 2018 for sure. Efficient service, nice wine and beer list in a upscale but not uptight setting. This restaurant lived up to our expectations and then some.

Terence Kennedy

Delicious lobster at fairly reasonable price. Good to know that they only hold reservations for a portion of their space (I think 2/3) so you can walk in if you get there early enough and still be seated when they start dinner service around 5.30pm. Staff were friendly and accommodating, even with a small child who had a penchant for twirling linguine over his head.

K Wind

Excellent seafood restaurant with a great atmosphere! I've eaten here numerous times and it never disappoints. One of my favorite restaurants in Portland.

Jerry Okona

One word. Exquisite. The food smelled and tasted like it should. This is from someone that lives in Florida and know my seafood. We'll be back.

Leened Velazquez

Very unique & tasty lobster pasta!

Jacob Cherian

This place is just great - everything about it is inviting. Whether you sit at the bar or in the main dining area the service is great. Great drinks, great appetizers, and main courses. Highly recommended. And this is in the middle of a area with a lot of cool bars.

Cj Young

My sister and I had a great time here! The seafood stew was delicious! The grilled scallops was scrumptious!!! This restaurant is lively!! And our hostess Alice was great!

Robert Smith

Lobster Diavolo.....

Bob F

A mainstay. Love this joint. Make reservations early

Matthew Radford

The lobster pasta was out of this world. Long wait to get in on a Tuesday, but it was worth every minute!

Doug Alexander

Great take on fresh seafood. Really attentive staff.

Dean Remy

The freshest, most deliciously prepared seafood. Great ambiance and service. True attention to detail.

Lawrence Filippelli

If you like seafood with an inventive and eclectic menu, then please come here.. Start in the bar with some oysters and cocktails both of which are amazing. Then hit the dinner menu and take some chances. The grilled octopus is amazing. The wine list is good with some decent value but it is not as deep their sister restaurant, Fore Street. Casual dining and amazing fresh seafood is what you will find here. Service is as amazing as the food.

David Huard

Absolutely yum favorite restaurant in Portland Me. A must when your in maine.

Berk USTA

Very tasty sea food choices, appetizers and desserts, and a good atmosphere. A good selection of wines...

Dawn L

High end but worth it!

Disclaimer: I cooked here in the late 90's so this will always be my favorite restaurant in Portland. That said, we went back the other night for the first time in a few years (there are a lot of great places to eat in Portland...). Street and Co is still wonderful. It's boisterous, loud, the kitchen is right off the dinning area. I love the setting. It does get a little too loud, I assume due to the low ceiling and wood floors but it just means you need to lean into your conversation. I ordered the special: tuna bolognese on pasta. It was so good and a perfect stand in for it for its beef based namesake. Our table also had a grilled lobster, blackened salmon and pasta alfreddo. Everyone was happy. The service was great. You are not going to be allowed to linger, though. As youll see when you get up to leave, the bar, the entrance and outside are packed with people waiting their turn.

Justin Vieira

The good: The food was great, my linguine and clams we're delicious and the wine pairing made the dish amazing. The bad: I have to echo alot of the reviews of the service that people have brought up. Our waitress seemed disengage, distracted, and personality less as if she was so busy that she couldn't engage in an interaction beyond taking our orders. I didn't even catch her name, because she never told us, which just seemed off for the kind of restaurant Street & co was advertised as. Overall, management needs to take the time training their servers on table side manner. The food though, out of this world amazing!

Benita Williams

Very expensive. The oysters were great and my friends really enjoyed the lobster pasta they got. The appetizer I got was way too salty so I ordered a small plain pasta (plain with absolutely nothing on it) that they charged me $12 for. So that was disappointing.

Steve P

Once you have scallops here, you will never be happy anywhere else

Greg Choquette

Good but we overstayed our welcome. Food was delicious!

Drake DeJesus

Incredible atmosphere. The open ice bar when you walk in sets an incredible ambiance. Moving to the first of two dining areas you will be treated to being able to watch the kitchen work their magic with incredible pace. Visiting on business I relied on our server to take us through the menu. Suggesting an excellent wine and Lobster pairing. I would definitely recommend to anyone coming in to visit and looking for a good seafood meal. Worth every penny.

Neil Cambridge

Still one of the best in Portland for me. If your going to have seafood dinner right and not inhibited by the price then this is the go to place.

Joves Luo

Food was amazing. We waited 2.5 hours since we didn't have a reservation but it was worth it. The Lobster Diavolo was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. They also made a kids pasta for us and my kids loved it.

coojackson

I loved this place! We got there early and had to sit at the bar to wait for the dining area to open. They were serving oysters and we decided to try them. They are to die for! The service is amazing and the food is absolutely delicious. I would go back if I'm ever in Maine again. One of the highlights of our trip.

Cara Staus

Amazing food and atmosphere!

John Akim

Amazing food. So much flavor in every dish I've had here! Definitely a top spot in Portland's rich restaurant scene.

Grant Braeuer

So good and so cozy.

Keith Orr

Great duck, apps, and entrees. Always a great meal here

santanu ghatak

Food was ok.. But too bland for my taste.. Ambiance and service is superb.. If you are planning to visit on weekend then its better to get a booking.. It's heavily packed.. We have tried garlic butter shrimp linguine and garlic butter lobster linguine... I like the local beer they were surving

TT Huang

Small portion and the lobster wasn't that good.

Sam Li

High quality food, really nice environment for a date night! But the service feels a bit forced, coming around too often ended up interrupting our date night.

Gayle Ferland

Absolutely delicious food. We really enjoyed how everything was served in pans, such a fun and yummy experience. Go hungry!

Carl Saunders

It is a shame that there is no option for a ten star review because this restaurant is by far and away the best place I have ever dined.

Lindsey

Such a unique dining experience! Loved the brick walls and old feel of the restaurant. The seafood was so fresh! I got broiled scallops and was thoroughly impressed. They bring out fresh baked bread upon ordering, as well. Cocktails are delicious! I highly recommend it.

Stephen Shober

Great meal. Excellent atmosphere and really fresh, tasty oysters. Would definitely go back next time I'm in Portland.

Gene Bukh

Was hoping for a great meal, and decided to go for Lobster Diavolo due to many reviews. Unfortunately the evening started with a bug crawling next to my wife on the wall. Then we had to wait an hour for our food. And then, when I was about to dive into the lobster, the claw was undercooked and thus was gelatinous. Furthermore, while I realize that most seafood is often bland, I think the restaurant went a bit overboard with seasoning (even though I like spices in general). I mentioned the undercooked lobster to the server, hoping they may do something to improve the situation, but instead I got the check. Thus, overall, a very disappointing experience.

Kiran Shettar

Expect long wait time during the weekends.. approx 90-120 min.. Reserve your table a day before if you’ve plans to eat some good food in Portland

Dominique Sullivan

My husband I went here for a pre-Anniversary dinner and ordered the Grilled Lobster over linguine with Butter and Garlic. It was cooked to perfection.

mike murray

I felt the service was good and attentive. The scallops were decent however unfortunately the lobster was a poor representation of Maine. I am a 4th generation lobsterman and the lobsters were so hard and over cooked I had to crack for everyone at the table. I have picked 1000s of lobsters in my life and never seen anything like it. I would have asked the staff to pick them but I don’t like to be that guy. Good for tourists wont eat there again.

Rosanna Steffen

They are very accommodating in tweaking your order as in low garlic. I had the shrimp linguini. My husband the special. Halibut. I do not eat fish, but I would order this the next time. Incredibly firm white flesh prepared with vegetables. Best I have ever tasted. My son and his girl are there at least once a month-coming from Wells. Trendy place

Will Johnson

This is my favorite restaurant in Maine! The service is Amazing and the food is out of this world! I've been coming to this restaurant for 15years and it has never disappointed me ever!

kandalf86 _

Perfect Seafood Restaurant. The Lobster was delicious. Highly recommended.

Colman Roche

Terrible service, which was a shock as we used to love eating here and take friends there. No responsibility taken for the wine (since when is red wine supposed to be foamy and taste terrible): just excuses. Poor waitressing: the last straw was throwing ice on my partner's dress and dismissing it as "just ice" as she turned and walked away without even trying to help in any way. When I gave the duty manager the opportunity to address things at the end of the night, she was useless - she just "hoped that we would come back again". Why would we: there are great restaurants in Portland who treat customers well. The food last night was (as always) good: thank god the attitude of the floor staff didnt reach the kitchen.

Marc Dionne

Exceptional quality and service! It is a seafood- featuring restaurant. Every entre is nicely presented, and perfectly seasoned to allow the flavor of the fish to shine through. The atmosphere is also a nice mix of rustic and stylish. Loved the pounded copper tabletops.

chris chen

I had scallops in pan . It is fresh and so delicious. Staff are friendly.

Amy Anderson

Flexible, fragrant, fun. Scallops incredible , mouth watering, created with Anise. A cold winter night that was made warm and satisfying with artistically created meals. It seems this venue is consistent and caring when it comes to their clients.

Alexander Kontoleon

Fresh fresh fresh seafood prepared beautifully and simply and deliciously. Had to make reservations a few weeks in advance but glad we did. Their signature dishes are great, the seasonal ones are as well. Service super friendly. Nice wine list too. A bit pricey but def worth it.

Gosh Darn

Best seafood in NE

Ceil T

One of my top 3 meals ever, grilled lobster with garlic linguine. Raves on the sole francaise & salmon. Taste plates were amazing - 3 small portions of balanced deliciousness. Service top notched.

Matthew Carnes

I've spent years of my life at sea working on fishing boats. This place knows how to treat fish and but fresh. Over the top great

negrotski .

Top-level food for Portland. Fun atmosphere, great service. Dishes were amazing. The sole was incredible. Dishes were served in frying pans. Super fresh seafood, savory, delicious! Will be back certainly next time in Portland.

kramille

Oyster mix of the night were tasty and a good variety was provided. The octopus appetizer was tender and flavorful. Streets nightly special, their clam appetizer, was the sumptuous. Our main course, Linguini with white sauce and many clams was a solid dish. Erica provided excellent recommendations and spot service throughout our meal. Al fresco, dog friendly, dining was appreciated.

Taylor Thompson

Came with my mother on a vacation, and I think it may have been my best meal of 2019. Loved the fact that they did half bottles of wine also. We had some greens, a mackerel app, and a tuna steak. Plus great free bread! All in all, was better than a lot of food I get in NYC at half the cost. Totally worth the wait and the atmosphere inside was lovely. I miss you Portland!

Erika Pack

Great food with horrible service. Our waitress was inattentive and rude because as a party with six guests her 20% gratuity was already guaranteed. Quite disappointed in the experience. That being said the food was excellent and well prepared.

Joe Baber

So good if you can get a table. The simplest dishes prepared in the best ways are always the best. When everyone is trying to out fancy one another, they're taking simple local fresh seafood and turning out masterpieces. Pretty expensive, but well worth it.

David Markowitz

Atmosphere great, one meal fantastic, second pasta distribution just ok.

Inna Z

I was expecting a 5 star meal but they only delivered 4 stars. We got an early sitting outside. We ordered few appetizers and blacked swordfish plus scallops. They probably had an off night. It took close to an hour to get food. They did offer us another appetizer on a house due to the long wait. Everything had too much salt and my scallops were over slightly cooked. Service was good.

Coralie Vrancken

Good European wines at reasonable price, delicious food - especially the signature Diavolo pan with lobster, big mussels and clad, and calamari. Service was disappointing at first but they did better during the evening!

Mike Marinucci

We live in NY and have been eating here since 1997. It’s still our favorite place and we usually stop by at least twice while on vacation or even a long weekend. We just came up to celebrate my daughters B Day and the bread is my daughters all time favorite. We even stopped at Standard Baking Co to pick up a couple of loaves on the way back home. We have eaten at all of their restaurants but Street & Co is our favorite!

Michael S

Street & Company continues to be one of my favorite Old Port restaurants. Have been coming here for 15+ years because of the food the service and the ambiance! If you LOVE seafood in many different ways this a must stop restuarant for you! They are located right in the heart of the Old Port which has the old cobblestone street in front of the restaurant. They have a bar and lounge area that is pretty swanky and 2 dinning areas. Love this place!

Joe M

Grilled lobster with butter and garlic over linguine, fantastic.

Morgan Elizabeth

This company is sister company with another restaurant Fort Street Co in Portland. Fresh fish. Top chefs. Great for foodies like me. Expensive. A bit tight seating. Great experience.

Birghandi Weeden

Food was delicious. The linguini with clams with white sauce was amazing. The fact that they made their own pasta made this dish taste even better.

julio bobadilla

GOOD FOOD BUT THE FOOD TAKES A LONG TIME TO GET TO YOUR TABLE

Bradley Ford

Perfect evening,

AM Klausner

One of our most favorite restaurants anywhere. The food is always tasty and well prepared, the restaurant is cozy and has a great energy, and the staff is top notch. It's a destination that's worth traveling to, and sometimes we do by flying up for a weekend visit.

Brian Spinney

Took my wife out for her birthday. She had the calamari with linguine. She raved about it. She could taste the squid in every bite. I had the yellowfin tuna. I'm not joking, this thing must have been 3 inches tall. It was cooked rare just how I ordered it, and seasoned to perfection. In a city with such amazing seafood restaurants, it somehow finds a way to stand above the rest.

Eyal Peled

Food is amazing!

Ken Ku

Service was good and the food is decent. Seems a bit on the pricey side but it's in a historic and touristy part of town. It was really busy on a Wednesday night so there may be problems getting a table.

Chad Knutson

Love this place! Grilled Lobster Linguine...

Ahmed Ibrahim

Must visit! Great food!

Andrija Visekruna

The food and the atmosphere were fantastic. Your drinks were pretty standard fare. However 3 hour wait for a walk in on a holiday weekend didn't really seem worth it.

Kamiwp Linn

If I have a chance to go bake to Portland, Maine again I will be there for sure!!!!! Worth every single penny.delicious and great services. must booking before.

Kevin Hogan

Great food and service !! This place is always consistent.

David Shaw

One of my all time favorites! This little coastal beauty has to be on everyone's list for those traveling in the North East.

Mark Hwang

The pasta diablo and mussels appetizer.... they were amazing.... so good. Now I understand why we had to wait an hour to eat there.

Beth Wilcox

A-mazing food. We visit Street and Co everytime we're in Portland!

Tom Chang

Two day trip to Portland for my birthday get away, and discovered this restaurant a minute away from my hotel. Saw the review on yelp is great, so come by try it ourselves. Was here with wife and we order clams linguini with white sauce and Sole Francaise to share and we enjoy both of them really much! Clams are huge and juicy with the white garlic sauce which is so delicious. Highly recommended to everyone who is visiting or just around.

Marc Rotondo

Good food but lousy service. Also very inflexible kitchen. Wanted the clams steamed only with butter, kitchen said no!

Danielle M

The food is so good here! This restaurant is associated with restaurant Scales (also amazing.). The menu changes daily I believe, but if you get the chance try the octopus.

Swetha Valas

The food here is absolutely amazing! Might take forever to get a table on a busy night but it's worth it.

Paul Eldal

Out of town and heard a lot about this eatery! Got the lobster diavolo and was very pleased by not only the presentation but also the preparation - very little work to get out the lobster and the portions could definitely have fed 3-4 hungry people. Had a good wine list and service to match. The aesthetics to the whole joint were formal, but also modest. Very cozy and will be back when im out to visit the NE again for sure. Highly recommended for someone looking for good seafood in a higher-grade environment

Scott Ferris

Fantastic seafood, great wait staff, cozy interior

Craig Gilreath

Outstanding food! Love how rustic the space is and how the food is served in the dish its cooked in

Annie Oh

I always make sure to have dinner here whenever I visit Maine. The food is incredible!! I usually order some seafood pasta dish. Recently, I chose the lobster pasta with garlic butter sauce. It consists of a huge lobster sitting on top of a pan full pasta. It was so delicious! The lobster and pasta were cooked just right and it came with a ton of minced garlic. My husband ordered blackened swordfish which comes with some veggies sauted in some kind of wonderful sauce. I don't know what kind but wow. My friends chose Sole Francoise which is some kind of fish. It had the same veggies as my husband's and I think hers was the best dish. I'm definitely going to order that one next time. Her fiance chose the grilled salmon and I think it was the best salmon I ever had. It was seasoned beautifully and cooked absolutely perfect. The decor is this cottage theme with hung garlic everywhere. The kitchen is right in the middle of the restaurant, out in the open so you can see what they're doing which I like because that seems to me that they have nothing to hide.

Donkrissy Wuerdeman

Let me start by saying that the food quality each and every time has been of the highest quality, so that alone I would rate a 5; however the quality of service has declined and that is why my rating is a 3. We have been going to this wonderful establishment for over 10 years and unfortunately the service from the bar to the table has gotten worse over time and it’s a shame. Please train the staff to represent and be proud to serve the impeccable food that is served at this high quality restaurant. A great dining experience is not only the excellent food but exceptional wait and bar staff.

Brent Safrit

Great atmosphere, superior food.

M Soler23

This was definitely worth the 5+hr drive up! Great atmosphere, great service, wait staff was extremely attentive, reasonably priced..This was an AWESOME Bday dinner

Charles Girardi

Excellent meal and service. When they say a dinner is for 2 they mean 2.

Steven Simons

By far the best clam pasta I've ever had. The atmosphere felt and smelled amazing, our waitress was on point, and I spent it talking with in my opinion the most beautiful person on earth. I recommend this place for any date night!!

Gosia Mineo

One of the best seafood restaurants in northeast! Service rocks and ambience is super sweet! A must in town!!!

Tom Armistead

This was a wonderful place. The food and the service is top notch. I had the grilled lobster, it was great.

Peter Mac Courtney

Great service, food was amazing, will be back as soon as I can

Shannyn Hennessy

We were extremely disappointed with the entire experience. Upon arrival we had a lukewarm greeting at best, hostess was not friendly, didn’t even get a smile. We did get seated right away, however, that’s the only positive thing I have to say about our first impression. Ambiance in the restaurant would have been cozy had the lights been dimmer, overall a cool place with that old world feel. Our waitress however was less than enjoyable. We instantly felt awkward and uncomfortable around her, as if our two top wasn’t important enough for her to care about our dining experience. She was extremely short, unfriendly, and frankly just not nice. We sat down at 9:00, and paid the bill by 9:45, everything was rushed, not what you expect when you’re paying $100/per head. Now for the food, my husband ordered the Sole Francais, which the underside of the dish was completely burnt. I had the lobster, no major complaints but it’s lobster, can’t really mess that up. All in all I feel this place is a tourist trap, don’t waste your money or time, go elsewhere!

D&J's Home and Hearth

Amazing food and awsome people

Eric Ding

Great food and service. Definitely go at opening if you dont have a reservation (they're booked almost 2 months out...) Unique flavor profiles using local seafood, definitely worth the wait and price. Highly recommend the octopus appetizer and panna cotta.

Joe S

Delicious! I always eat here when traveling anywhere close to Portland.

Alan A

Excellent (mostly) fish Restaurant in the old port area. It's located in a very old cobblestone street that at first you don't really want to walk down. They have an oyster bar with a variety of oysters at $2.75 each. Main courses are $28 to the low $30s. The Arctic char is excellent and you can get it broiled, grilled, or charred. All are excellently cooked and served. My only complaint is their wine selection. Their bottle list is ok - no wines worth writing home about. Their wines by the glass are poor. It's not so much the price, it's that you can't buy a glass worth drinking.

Andrew Feeney

The grey sole is amazing, service was sub par, but they were busy af, what can you do

Greg Hilbert

Went with friends that had been here before. Got the swordfish and it was amazing. Everyone loved their meals. Nice wine list as well. A little pricey but so worth it. Outstanding service.

Evan Heim

Just unreal food. Well worth the experience and price for most things on the menu. I'd recommend experimenting with things you usually don't like because this is the place to do it. The service was meh, but given that I was solo at the bar and they were busy I can see why I sort of fell through the main focus of the bartenders. They weren't wildly friendly either. But that's ok, they were still very professional.

Fatma Pir-Cakmak

It was very delicious and loved bronzini in pan. Just waiter was a little standoffish and that is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5.

Nathaniel Aiken

Food here was great!!! Excellent service and the ambiance was on point. Had the Linguine Pescatore and calamari and it was all a 10/10.

Dean Wong

Decent, tasty, friendly service but were kind of let down after getting in on a Sunday night after being unable to go Saturday. Sat at the oyster bar, great selection of locals, grilled lobster with garlic butter was cooked perfectly and really tasty but "too ocean", not crispy, and drowning in garlic. My wife's signature whole-grilled Brazino in lentils was reminiscent of asian style black bean sauce, pretty tasty... till we realized it was quite underdone in the center at the backbone and she couldn't go on...Maybe it was a Sunday scene, it happens, but had hoped for more considering $$

Rob Gravis

Yum!!! Delicious food, great service and great ambiance. I had the scallops with Pernod and cream. It’s served in the pan it was cooked in.

Scott Wolfe

Wonderful spot! Loved the yellow fin pasta Bolognese

Robert Ross

Think the same people that own Scales also runt his place. Pretty simple menu but they do it very well. We had the blackened tuna and tuna bolognese which were both very good. They also had a Txakoli on the wine menu which we hadn't seen since being in Spain, paired very well with the Tuna. Very rustic and relaxed atmosphere, very cozy and the service was great.

Joe Christopher

Great food, good service, nice atmosphere.

Andrea Sperati

so good

Eric Lewandowski

Delicious! The scallops we're incredible! We got the mussels for an appetizer and the portion was huge. Would absolutely come back.

Kah-Ram Bamfo

Lobster for 2? More like 3! Great service throughout beginning the moment we walked in the door.

bethany erfourth

Do yourself a huge favor and get the grilled octopus!! It was my favorite dish of the night. The scallops in Pernod sauce were great too, and you get soooo many scallops, but the octopus was out of this world. My husband loved his clams with linguine in white sauce too. We left way too stuffed to even consider dessert. Our server was friendly and helpful! Though we were underwhelmed by our cocktails.

Ashley Dede

This was the first restaurant during our stay in Portland. Their reservations fill up very quickly and I booked a few days in advance for 9:15pm. Knowing the restaurant closes at 10pm I figured their kitchen stayed open a little past that as they do offer reservations as late as 9:45pm. Not only did we not have a table ready for us when we arrived right at 9:15pm but once we were seated we felt extremely rushed because the kitchen did infact close at 10pm. People spend a lot of money at a nice restaurant such as this one not to feel rushed. If your kitchen closes at 10pm then maybe you shouldn't except reservations past 9pm. The food was good but not anything life changing. I would not return.

Fady Ghobrial

Omg... This place was heavenly. I had the scallops and my wife had the garlic shrimp pasta and they were both phenomenal. Good service too. We were seated promptly and the atmosphere was great. Very cute place, highly recommended!

Albert K

Some of the best pasta I have had ever! Clam Linguine all the way. Spice it up with the bread, add a bottle of reasonably priced wine, and you have one heck of a meal. I opted for the scallops as well, which were perfectly cooked. Portions were very reasonable. Ambiance is fun, lots of space, and overall a great experience. Well deserves the 5 stars.

Bruce Garbin

Food and service were excellent

Kristen Palazzolo

Meal was fantastic! I got the mussels and my husband got the scallops in Pernod sauce. Service was top notch! Muffuletta salad was also very good.

Samuel Bagaason

Nice, but not overly long selection of wines and very appealing lighting. Our waiter was polite and helpful when suggesting courses and making sure that we were comfortable. While the lobster diavolo was delicious, it's definitely not for two, unless you're both NFL 0-techs.

Julie C

Definitely recommend making a reservation because we didn't have one, got there a little before 5 and waited in a long line of people to see when we could be seated which wasn't until 7:30. I guess after going through that and the wait I had higher expectations for the food. I ordered a fish dish that didn't have meat on the menu but came with chunks of some kind of pork I think. The waitress was very nice about it and switched it out for the normal sides however part of why I ordered the branzino was because of the sauce and veggies that accompanied it so that was kind of a bummer. I just think for $36 it should be pretty exceptional and come with more than a couple red potatoes and a few bites of zucchini. The best aspects were the atmosphere and the kindness of our waitress, the food was pretty lackluster especially for it being "upscale".
