I love everything about this place. Northern New England is generally a BBQ blackhole, but this place is an oasis in the middle of the desert. If you're driving rt. 2 with your windows down, you should see and smell the smoke. If you don't stop, you're really just cheating yourself.

Terrific local BBQ in Bethel, Maine. We drove by several times and the smoker was always going early in the morning and late into the evening. For our first time there, we ordered the 6-Pack to Go, which is billed as two pounds of pork, 6 rolls, large coleslaw, pickles and sauce. For our family of four, we added four orders of cornbread and asked if they could split the order into one pound each of pulled pork and pulled chicken so that we could taste both. They were happy to hear that we wanted to try both and did not miss a beat. We also tried their hot smoked cashews. Everything was delicious and our take-out was ready within minutes after placing our order. This place is definitely worth a stop or even a drive out of your way.

Great BBQ! Flew in, biked over and had the pulled pork plate. Best BBQ since my last trip to South Carolina. Just the right mix of fat and lean. Very tasty. Sides were good too.

I may have been spoiled by the best bbq food in the south. Red Hot Mama's from the tv show on food network. Anyway this food if directly compared would fall way below the star rating i am giving it. It claims to be carolina or southern bbq but its not. Its there own flavor. Thus, to some it maybe good over all. Out of the chicken and the brisket meal i had. The chicken was not good at all in my opinion. The brisket was ok. Never in my life have i had corn bread that tasted bad. I looked at it and would not try it from family reviews. The slaw was good. Beans not so much. If you go here i recommend brisket only. Just saying.

stopped here while on the road working,it came highly recommended by a local who I work with.Ordered and had our pulled pork sandwiches in probably lest than 1.5 minutes and they're not skimpy on the meats!I had the wild.Unbelievably good.I also got 1/2 pound of pulled chicken to take home,but wished I didn't......I should've got a pound!Make your life better,stop in and try this place

A must try when in Bethel. I highly recommended the bbq pulled pork"wild" topped with slaw sandwich. Or the the brisket sandwich. Great portions with flavors that wont disappoint! Nice job!!

I ordered the meat platter with smoked brisket and pulled pork. The cornbread is wonderful, the beans and homemade slaw was fabulous. The brisket is my favourite, and I simply can't get enough of it. I travel by motorcycle from Toronto Ontario Canada, and have this waypointed in my gps. I've been twice and look forward to a third stop this coming fall. :D My dog loves it too! 2012 - I stopped for supper again tonight on the way from PEI back to Ontario, and the Texas Brisket was better than I remembered. They changed the recipe for the cornbread and it tastes even better! 2016 Spring - I stopped by enroute to Toronto Ontario Canada, and they weren't open for the season. Heartbroken! :'(

Nothing but gristle and fat. Wife and I read the reviews, ordered the 3 meat meals and got slabs of gristle. Wife was pissed but dug the meat out and we made sandwiches. Other reviews are good, maybe the dude just hated us personally. You should go here but, check your meal before you leave.

Best BBQ my wife and I have had since moving from texas. Try the vinegar based coleslaw the best I have ever had. As good as it gets BBQ, fast friendly service, shady picnic area, well behaved dog friendly, open all year, and paper food containers not styrofoam. Authentic down-home feel, my new favorite BBQ pit.

The spicy BBQ sauce is one of the best I have ever had. I wish I had brought some back to NJ with me. I had the sauce on a pulled pork sandwich which was so incredibly tasty and huge and a great value. Thank you Smokin' Good. See you again next summer.

I went here a few times back when I was still in the Navy... stationed in Brunswick. This place is legit. And I'm from Texas, where excellent BBQ is always less than a couple miles away. Just seeing ANY BBQ place that far up north was great, but after I ate it, I was like... damn, this ain't bad. By Maine standards it's an A+. By Texas or Tennessee standards, it's a B+. Again, very good food. I haven't been to Maine in years, but if I ever have a reason to venture that far north again, I'll stop by this place and grab some BBQ. To the owner/BBQ chef: great job on the meat. Keep up the good work

Really good BBQ. Really good! To be honest, the sides were nothing to brag about, but the meat is totally worth the stop. Next time we will probably just get meat and bring it home to eat. Their chili is spicy! Corn bread was just okay. Don't be deceived but he little red trailer. This is awesome BBQ.

Pork sundae - omg, good! Whoever thought to put spicy cashews in with that mixture was genius, adds great texture and a little heat. Hubby had pulled chicken sammie with beans, coleslaw, and cornbread. He liked the flavor of the chicken although he could have used a bit more sauce. We agreed coleslaw was awesome, beans were good (we're used to mine, which are usually a bit sweeter with maple syrup), and cornbread was good (again, same as with beans). But literally all piled together in the sundae?? Yes! Eat all together like a layer cake, as cornbread will get a bit soggy with time.

We stop at the Smokin’ Good BBQ on our way to Portland, and it was a pleasant surprise! The service is super friendly, the prices very good and the food, smoking Good!!!! We had the brisket and it was tender, juicy and full of flavours! Everything is handmade from scratch and even the slaw (a bit zesty) and the cornbread (light and warm) were amazing. The plates were huge so we took the rest home. Don’t hesitate for a second to stop there! It was delicious and totally worth it!

Lil shack of heaven on highway 2. This place is tiny but the helpings aren't! I got the brisket and pork combo, the sides are just as good. Brisket wouldn't stay together and it was THICK cut. Very rare. Awesome Wild sauce.

The food gets a definite 5 stars! It's authenticity is beyond reproach. Great flavors done well. Smelling the actual smokers being used on site adds to the meals. Great meats, home made beans and bbq sauces. The service ambiance is where the extra star is lost. The parking is very tight, requiring street side parking. Although there are several quality picnic tables, none of them are covered and you may be eating in your car if the weather turns. The servers don't appear to have time or facilities to wash their hands between customers. None of these shortcomings would steer me away from coming here again, often!

Legit BBQ. Considering its in Maine, its fantastic. Being from Eastern NC, I have high standards for pulled pork. While Smokin' isn't eastern NC style, its done very well. Great smoke, quality meat, and good sauce (more of a Western/Lexington style). Also, the brisket melts in your mouth. This place has lots of character too. What a great find!
