I hadn't been here in years but my friend helped on the rebuild and I was in maine for the weekend so decided to shoot over to see the upgrades. It looks amazing inside, all renovated and upgraded. There a new rooftop seating area and its much more open and light inside. The food is always amazingggg here. I got the sweet onion burger and fries and it was delicious. Highly reccomend:)

I don't usually write negative reviews, and I hate to do so for a restaurant that is in one of my favorite vacation places. Went to Sarge's for a bite to eat with family on the last day of our vacation a few weeks ago. The service was okay, however the food was not. I ordered buffalo tenders and bit into one of the tenders to find RAW CHICKEN inside. So disgusting and inexcusable. The waitress was immediately apologetic and took the chicken and our drinks off the tab. However, I need to write this review in hopes no one else ends up sick off of uncooked food. Luckily I caught the raw meat before swallowing any, but I think I got a stomach ache afterwards from just the thought of it. Sad- because again, I love Rangeley and this seems like a really nice pub. At least our beers were good!

Stayed at Rangeley lake resort and stumbled upon this gem. Love me some bar food! Every local there knew we were out of towners and still treated us with respect. Very friendly and funny too. Hope I wind up back in soon. Best burgers ever!...and I’ve had many burgers in my time.

They just remodeled it and it looks nice but there id sound control so this is by far the loudest pub I've ever been too. And so far i have waiting 45 min for a simple order. Food review? Tastses good but 11 bucks for a relatively small patty is highly disappointing. Especially when the menu claims a "big" burger . I'd say this burger is worth $6 not 11 $12 dollars for what added up to a side salad with 2 ounces of chicken, gain this salad should of been $6 with chicken. The Ruben is overpriced for what is it at tops a maybe a 3oz of pastrami. That is a $6 sandwhich not a $11 sandwich. Boost portion size and reduce the wait and i wouldnt be disappointed because the food tasts good, but the price doesn't match what they give you.

Stopped in for late night drinks after a Saturday wedding. They had karaoke going on it was pretty fun. Bartenders and staff were very nice and made excellent drinks. Shout out to the girl who sang amazing Alanis Morisette!

Friday @6pm. I walked in and was told. "We cannot order/ serve food tonight's because the computer is down". Really? They said the bar was open. Suggestion:craft a contingency plan to have waitstaff, cooks to write down customer's food order with pencil & paper. Novel idea that works.

Three of us stopped here for lunch on a motorcycle ride through Maine. We ate on an outside deck on the second floor. The view was great, and the food was pretty good... burgers, fries, onion rings, typical pub grub with above average flavor and many beers on tap. There was some confusion by the wait staff, we were initially waited on by a friendly waitress who took our drink order. Another waitress soon arrived and she proceeded like we were new. She seemed rushed and very harried, she had 3 small additional parties and a large table with 5-6 adults and at least 5-6 kids. She ended up taking care of everyone on this deck, and you could tell she was not focused, it appeared to be too much for her. Anyway, we ended up with a decent lunch, a so-so waitress and an appropriate charge for our food. It was very busy on the first floor and lots of tv's around.

First felt the impression like no kids allowed. Our kids initially were the only ones there. We eventually received menus and nothing else for 10-15 min. Our order was then taken and received in a timely manner. We were not asked if we needed drink refills, how is your food etc. in total we were waited on by four people. Food was great but definitely need more friendly service!!!

Sarge's Sports Bar is a large Bar/ restaurant located in Rangeley ME. It's spacious with a separate Bar area and a large dining room. The service all types of Beer, wine and mixed drinks. The food menu include Burgers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. Service is friendly.

The restaurant is brand new inside , so the atmosphere is pleasant . The service left something to be desired , neither the bartender nor the waitress cracked a smile when they greeted us. Our order was take-out but we weren't given any ketchup or salt & pepper for our food, so I had to go back in to ask for those items . The whole experience was just average .

The one star is for the completely inept and rude waitress we had. My husband and friends have eaten at Sarge's many times during all four seasons. Typically the service (even when the place is super busy) is great with friendly servers and bartenders. Monday afternoon July 4th about 2pm there was a waitress that ignored our table of 7, strolled by us at least 6 times not asking if we wanted drinks or offering menus. Eventually she serves our beers but after a few more minutes, we had to ask for menus (she should have offered menus to us). She hands us two menus saying "here's a couple menus to share" so we walked up to the bar and asked for more menus. We drank most of our beers while she continued to just saunter by our table several times not even looking at us. Finally we just paid for those beers (again at the bar) and left because she didn't even have the curtesy to ask if we were ready to order. This stocky, short haired brunette with a tattoo on her neck should not interact with customers since her attitude is so incredibly poor. No smile, no banter and not even an apology as we were walking away. We were not the only table that this difficulty as another patron had to get up and ask for service from the bar also. I hope the wait staff is better this winter when we come back to Rangeley.

Walked there from my hotel up the hill. The seafood chowder was great, very flavorful. The service on the other hand, not good. You clearly need to be a local to get any attention. I wanted to order food to go, but after waiting WAY to long....I gave up. If I do ever return to Rangeley, I won't return to Sarge's.
