Okay, let me be clear, I go to this place for TWO REASONS: (1) $1.25 rotating draft, and (2) $1.50 MHL. If Rosie's serves anything else, then I'm not aware. Go here for a great "pub" environment and amazing beer prices. Portland's waterfront is beautiful, but Rosie's makes a quick walking detour worth your time.

6 of us walked in on a Sat night, 7pm and they couldn't be bothered. It wasn't busy and the dart players were loitering the tiny dining room. I know it has good reviews for food, but don't bother if you want someplace decent because this isn't the place. So disappointing because they had good reviews. It looked like an unclean 20 year old Pub on a Main Street, with equally matched staff.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The service was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and the food was delicious. We found the prices to be very reasonable and fair. We also had a window table which gave us a very nice view of Fore Street. Check it out.

Amazing restaurant and pub. Large seating area and bar. Good atmosphere, service was great and food was REALLY good. I had the onion rings and egg+cheddar+bacon burger. The onion rings were thick and beer battered. The burger was very fresh along with the lettuce, tomatoe, egg, and bacon. It is one of the best burgers I've had in a while.

Townie bar. Food and drinks can be hit or miss even though it is primarily bar food. They also need some panels to buffer the noise.. The wood ceiling makes it a loud experience.

The burgers are awesome. Juicy and cooked perfect. Do the upgrade to the sidewinder fries. I have to say out of all the places we ate at in the New England states this one is hands down the best. Seating is limited, I saw 2 tables for 4 the rest are for 2. The staff is very sweet.

I fell in love with this spot, you can't beat the 1.50 high life's and the 1.25 rotating beer. There is also free popcorn and the food is super cheap and filling. And the atmosphere is a cool joint with friendly people I love the vibes and feel of Rosie's.

The food is good but the service is not the best. Seems like you have to know someone who works there to get service quickly. I was sitting there for a while locking eyes with one of the bartenders and she did not bother to come over to see if i wanted anything or acknowledge me. Some lady walks in who apparently goes there a lot because this bartender already got her drink in the glass as soon as she walked in basically and she was served immediately. Finally another bartender came to me and took my order. When my food was ready the one who was ignoring me placed it down and did not say a word. Very rude and snooty! The tips are split which makes me feel bad because the one who did not ignore me deserved the full tip. She checked on what i needed a few times. She did her job. So long story short if you are looking for good food, decent service, and do not wish to be ignored, i do not recommend it because what happened to me might happen with you. There are plenty more bars/restaurants in the area.

We lucked into a curbside parking spot out front When we came back up from Commercial we stopped in. We both had a very good lobster roll and the salad upgrade. We very both very pleased with the food, our service and Rosie's in general. We will stop again when in the area.

Looking to play darts on vacation they have two dart boards in a dedicated space. There is a bar area and also a separate dining space. Food was decent. Nice place to go eat, drink and play darts with friends while on a rainy vacation day in Maine.

A true institution. One of the last remaining places of pre-gentrification Portland. $1 beer and $5 dinner specials? Can't go wrong. It does feel like a bar that serves food, but that's part of the charm. The burgers are insanely good.

Great food, the cooks are outstanding. I can't tell you how many people that I have met who have raved about every bit of food that comes out of that kitchen. Great staff, the servers are all top notch. The doorman was amazing. He was fair, fun and understanding. He kept everyone safe.

Rosie's is a bastion to the old Old Port. No that's not a mistype. The Old Port was not the nicest portion of Portland, Maine as it stands now. The no frills service, good food, and locals only atmosphere makes it a great bar. Stop in grab a beer and support the vanishing Old Port that used to be scary after the street lights came on.

Lovely little place, lobster rolls where great and very reasonably priced. Very filling. Cheap decent quality beer is also a bonus. The water front is lovely but it's definitely worth the little walk from the waterfront. Would definitely recommend for anybody who likes cheaper good quality food and cheap beer!

Never had any problems here until tonight. Been here more times then I can count, always a fun time. Not sure why but tonight the bartender decided to follow me into the bathroom. I was doing my business, actually fixing my makeup in the stall since it’s a pretty small bathroom and it’s awkward to do in front of other people when I noticed she was just standing outside of my door. When I came out she rudely said “YOU MIGHT WANT TO DO THAT SOMEWHERE ELSE”. Obviously implying I was doing drugs or something. When I said “excuse me? I was actually fixing my makeup?!” She rolled her eyes and left. It was really embarrassing and uncomfortable to be accused of something like that out of no where in front of other customers.

Me and my wife are from Boston ma, visiting Portland. Today, Just happened to see this place. Tried going to in. The bouncer/ door man tried his best to discourage us. His comments: ' do you guys like tator tots? There's a 'five guys' right around the corner'. When he realised we wanted to go in..there was more...but really? That's how you deal with 2 adults(working professionals not drink college kids)? At the end we decided against going in and left. Worst experience and we feel it was a bit racially motivated too because we are an East Indian couple and we saw that anyone who came behind us, he was just letting them in after id checks. No ' there a five guys around the corner'. I wouldn't even give it a single star but google wants me give at least a star.

Went to this establishment a few weeks ago and I am completely disappointed with how I was treated. I went, and my ID was broken by the bouncer. I am from out-of-state, and a little after the situation occurred, I went to other establishments and they stated that the way ID's are checked here are antiquated and I would have been reimbursed, should that situation occur at their establishments. I spoke to the bouncer (young and ignorant), and he recognized that my ID was obviously real and that he did indeed break it, but did not take responsibility for his actions. I asked to speak to the bar manager, and she took my number down (never got a call back). Then, the security manager came and was so beyond rude and disrespectful and should be fired for treating people the way he treated me. I have tried calling the establishment multiple times to receive compensation or even just to hear my complaint, and they have failed to do so. Will never return, nor will my colleagues.

We enjoyed our nighttime experience here. Our server was great, the food is pretty good are drinks were good. However the crowd seemed a little young for us. We are in our mid-30s and the crowd was kind of early twenties. I don't know if that is the vibe all the time or if we just happened to be there on young people's night.
