As of day this firm has a score of 4.2 stars over 5 and the score has been calculated on 337 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is quite high, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the score is very credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to place feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

Food was great and service was outstanding! Really was a great place to stop, eat, have a cold one and relax.
Pay your waitresses more and maybe they won't demand more money from paying customers after they got a 20% tip.
Had beers here. Tasty. Nice people
Great food, had one of the best steak salads I have had.
Lot of knick knacks and sort of cluttered downstairs, great roadhouse vibe upstairs. Horseshoe pit out back in summer and dedck, great cheapish food, they do great fried seafood.
Excellent food and service.
Food is great. Staff is heplful and very friendly!
Food was killer, couldn't eat even half of the food I ordered. Portions are great and will definitely leave full. Try to catch a slow day tho took forever for food.
It had a funny smell, so much were didn't enjoy our food.
While staying at the Sunday River Resort. My family and I thought we check out the local faire. Rooster's Roadhouse did not disappoint. The 3 bean chili was delicious. The 3 of us had salads. My wife had the Caesar with chicken, my daughter had the "No-bun Garden, and I had the Cobb. All were fabulous. Our waitress Dora was excellent. So happy we stopped in.
Very good food. Near closing is half priced apps. Wait staff very attentive. Definitely coming back.
Great place! We were seated as soon as we walked in. Had a choice between upstairs or down. Chose to sit upstairs. Waitress was so nice and attentive. Had a conversation with some of the local regulars. Enjoyed the Chowda' and Lobsta' roll and hubby loved the pot roast!
Rushed and not cared for!!! Horrible beer selection
Amazing food, amazing service. Huge portions
Everything was so fresh and well prepared, I even tipped the cook! You will not be disappointed! My wife and I are fussy about food quality and we were suprisingly pleased!
The whole atmosphere when you walk in is amazing! The bartender was very sociable and friendly! Tried the escargot, a first ever, and was pleasantly surprised! My garden salad was really good, crisp lettuce and cherry tomatoes, and the croutons and ranch were the best! When my pot roast dinner arrived it was hot and presented nicely, also delicious. And my drink was made very well also. First time visiting and it won't be my last!
Great food, however they were under staffed the bar tender had to be waitess as well. Still tipped properly it because it was not her fault
We chose this restaurant to try maines famous lobster. My husband hates lobster, but was looking forward to a shrimp dinner... We arrived to a house converted into a restaurant, advertising bikes, babes and beer. We thought we were going to a family reataurant, with our 5 kids. They seated us in the attic next to the cathedral ceiling. My husband tried to sit in the back, but he couldn't fit, with the ceiling hitting his head. My 12 year old disabled daughter tried to walk to the back, but couldn't get to the seats physically and had to sit on the end. Drinks were served. My husbands Long Island Ice tea - he couldn't drink. He drank 1/2 of it and had to request a Coke because it was so bad. The coke was flat and watered down. Also not finished. Server announced no shrimp. 1/2 the meals advertised had shrimp. My husband was furious but chose another meal. His Reuben had no sauer kraut on the first half. The second half had a tiny bit on it. The shoe string French fries on his plate, as well as most of our plates, were less than 1/2 inch long. The baby couldn't grip them in her hands to eat them. Cole slaw was advertised for all plates, and none was received. By the end of his meal, he was so furious he stormed out. He was so mad. He told waitress, who offered to get manager. He said no and walked out with the baby. I insisted to make sure they knew how horrible the meal was. My daughters wanted to try lobster for the first time. I ordered, and they split a lobster roll. They split another sandwich also, that they did enjoy. The lobster I apologized to them about. I told them that normally lobster has flavor. That normally it tastes great. That maybe the mcdonalds version would have been better. I told them that I was sorry that was their first experience of lobster. I told the manager the lobster rolls were mediocre. My 12 year ordered pizza. It looked like Elios, from a box. When the manager came, he told me the waitress asked us if it was ok and we said "fine". I was feeding the baby and wasn't talking her. According to my husband, she stopped by once, immediately after serving food. The manager proceeded to tell me i was just out to get a free meal. That if I thought it was bad, I wouldn't have eaten it. He repeated several times that I was trying to steal from them. I never ONCE asked for anything free. I told the man that I have never, ever in my life complained to a manager ANYWHERE about food. I have never, ever asked for a free meal. We are a respectable family, with good manners. We ate what we were given, trying to be polite, but had to speak up when it just became outrageously ridiculous how awful the meal was for all of us, once we all started discussing it. When we got home, one daughter was nauseous. My son explained his hot dogs didn't even come with buns- rather pieces of bread. He woke up in the morning explaining he was extremely nauseous all night long from the dinner. Giving this restaurant a 1/5 is giving it too much credit. It was so awful, my husband insists the rest of our time in Maine- we will visit no more Maine restaurants.
10 stars I give. Awesome service. Great employees. Groovy environment
We laughed out loud at another review that remarked on the smell upon walking in. Our three year old announced that it did, indeed, smell in there. We moved into the quiet downstairs dining room and smell was no longer an issue. We did notice, however, that the tablecloths on the tables weren't changed when parties around us left. All this said, my children were well entertained by the coloring pages provided. My chicken parmesan was delicious. My husband's lobster mac'n cheese was lacking in the lobster department. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, it was clear they had many regulars that love this location. Now if they could just get to the bottom of that smell...
Wicked cool place. Awesome atmosphere and excellent service. Staff was upbeat and helpful, and, they were they were open during a blizzard!! Definitely recommend.
Very good
Always good food with reasonable prices and attentive staff.
Excellent Food and atmosphere, Good drinks and service
Went here w/my girlfriend for a nice meal. What a disappointment. Waited quite a while to be seated, while being ignored by some wait staff. The small/slender/young girl who eventually seated us was abrupt, & borderline rude. Our server was very pleasant, but kept making one mistake after another. We eventually started laughing because things kept getting worse w/our simple meal. I ordered a medium-well done prime rib. The first steak brought to me was pink almost all the way through. Couldn't/wouldn't eat it. I eventually got our server's attention, & sent it back. I was brought a different steak which was still way too pink. I should've refused that as well, & told them to forget it. We were hungry, though. I ended up eating the tasteless thing, anyway. In all my years, I've never had such a tasteless piece of meat. It was also no prime rib, being far from soft. My girlfriend's pasta dish was merely passable. The sweet bread was the best part of the meal, by far. I paid $50 (w/a tip) for an awful dining experience. The sorry excuse for a steak even made me sick to my stomach, later. We'll never go there, again.
Excellent food and wonderful service. A delightful experience.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and awesome fried clams
Good food, good prices, relaxed family style atmosphere with proper dining room downstairs and bar upstairs. Love the soup & salad bar!
Service is sub-par. Drink order took an inordinate amount of time and when it arrived the drink was terrible. Wait staff makes you feel like you're bothering her. Waitress spoke over the customers. Menu changes make it difficult to order a favorite meal. Finally the shear volume of noise distracts from a nice dinner out with you spouse. Very disappointed .
Brought a group of 15 people for a Bachelor Party this past weekend (10 August 19). The reservation process was easy and we had one waitress for all 15 patrons. She handled us like champs. Would recommend you get the salad bar in addition to your meal. Big portions of food, and the beer prices are reasonable. Even when there was a slight hiccup with a drink being mixed wrong, they were responsive and it didn't detract at all from our experience. I really appreciated how they took care of the important guy in our group and it had an indelible effect on the rest of our evening. They even dealt with odd requests (like separate checks and giving the big guy an obnoxious bib to wear while he ate ribs) in stride. They displayed the utmost professionalism and unparalleled customer service. You shouldn't drive past this place if you're in Bethel for skiing or other activities.
The food was great, good portions, and the waitress was the best waitress ever I swear!
Great food, great service , great beer for a good price !!
Great food and friendly staff! Highly recommended!
we went there 2 times it was good but last visit we made reservation for 9 people it was a nightmare we alk wanted maine lobster and given menus with lobster specials we all ordered drinks which took at least 20 minutes to come then we were ready to order but were told there was no lobster the waitress had a bad attitude like she was doing us a favor we should have left but we all settled for something else none of us enjoyed any of it we spent over 3 hundred dollars gor bad food and bad attitudes we will not be back
Not that great. I had the teryaki chicken and fried shrimp. The mashed potatoes were cold. The popcorn style shrimp was good. The chicken was overdone and tough. Not a fan.
The best fried clams in New England and service was very friendly.
Food is always first rate. Wonderful selections. Never disappointed.
Chicken was cold, potatos were lukewarm, service was slow and inattentive, and I couldn't get anything oil and dairy free. I asked for a handful of spinach since I couldn't eat anything on the menu, and was served a small bowl of spinach saturated in butter (I had told them that I couldn't eat dairy, oil, and meat) :( a handful of spinach should just mean a handful of spinach. My previous experience at this restaurant was good, but the service was sub par for some reason on this visit.
I find this place has a musty, moldy smell that they try to cover up by using tart warmers. They also have linen tablecloths, which I find unsanitary, no explanation needed. The booths have cushions that are dirty and gross. The food was nothing to write home to mama about.
Went in with a large party...13 adults. We were seated promptly, and the food and service were wonderful! Highly recommend!
Roosters is our #1 go-to whenever we're in Bethel, Maine. The ribs are incredible!
Food was good. Service ok.
Good selection of food and drinks! Fish & chips was awesome! Worth the stop.
As locals, this place is fun and festive. The food has always been fantastic (try the chicken pot pie, ribs and appetizers). Cold beer and great staff. Stephanie, Kim and Pam at the Pub upstairs are just awesome people. Come to Bethel for the snow and stay for the people!
Brianna the bar tender upstairs makes the whole experience, she fun and funny, makes you feel right at home.
Good meal, fast service, reasonable price
Great fried clams and haddock ask for Alex to serve you an extremely pleasant an knowledgeable waiter.
Ambience was great...prices a little steep for what you get...nice crowd...
Stopped for Lunch..food was great and nice little selection of craft beer. Brianna the Bartender/server was personable and knowledgeable of where to go and what to do and great conversation.
Great food and Hannah, our waitress was wonderful. Great atmosphere on the second floor which we enjoy. Will be back.
I think they ate high priced do not like how when you buy drinks and use a card they charge you four dollers and don't tell you each time it's being done they should ask if would like to hold ur card and do a tab but then again that wouldn't help get money for nothing
Must stop if your in the area. Poutine to die for. Plenty of other great food choices. They have plenty on tap and the atmosphere is inviting.
Nice place. Our food was served cold though.
Food was awesome steak cooked to perfection. Dave had lobster ate it all. Wait staff friendly. Our server was awesome.
Not that exciting. Nothing stands out, would pass try sunday river brew, or crossroads diner
Very friendly Cheers like atmosphere. Great prices on their lobsters as well
We have been coming here for over 10 years. We enjoy seeing the same great servers especially Sarah. She always takes care of us and even knows to bring the pumpkin bread with maple butter before we ask. It’s to die for!!! The prime rib is our go to on Saturday nights and you can’t go wrong with the salad bar and the corn & clam chowder....delicious!
Great atmosphere, food and drinks
Food is good and the atmosphere is nice. Bar area is upstairs so a little inconvenient. Waitress was very good. A little pricey.
Good lobster rolls
Food and service were good. Nice variety on menu. Parking was good.
Loved our waitress-Pam! And I really enjoyed the décor in and outside of the restaurant however I will probably not go back. The other wait staff was not friendly at all. I understand it was busy however the feeling was not welcoming.
Average food but good energy
I love this place! the crowd upstairs can get a little rowdy on the weekends but is all in good fun. There is a downstairs dining room for those who wish to eat in a less crowded area. Food is great also.
Lobster and sides were yummy. Great friendly atmosphere! Service was great. I recommend visiting if you find yourself in Bethel, ME
Food was absolutely fantastic!
I like this place very much. Very popular place though. Sometimes hard to get in. I usually go up to the bar, you can get right in and it's more fun up there anyway
So I have to say the decor is very outdated. The soup was very good and for three dollars it is all you can eat salad and soup. What a deal.. My husband ordered the Shepard pie and said it was flavorful and an interesting mix of beef and sausage. I had the prim rib and it was made the way I requested and was delish. The potatoes has a nice salt glad but the veggies I passed on the frozen tasteless mix. No bread was available as they said if it is made it is offered. Our waitress was kind but not very attentive. The price is really not bad for what you get.
Good food good service!
Unique and fun, food was just average
Food was ok, priced a bit high for what ya got. Service was decent.
Quaint place with an upstairs bar where the locals meet. Friendly service! Great food! Try the shepard's pie, it's delicious!
Nice place for beer & munchies upstairs in bar, which offers bar-only burger and sirloin steak specials. Also appetizers 1/2 price on Wednesdays. They offer full-belly clam dinners, which are delish! Dining room downstairs looks nice, never tried it however.
Great local spot. Busy atmosphere upstairs in the bar area but also great for families in the dining room downstairs. The chicken pot pie is a favorite!
Our waitress was lovely. Steak Marsala with deliciously crisped red potato wedges and fresh local corn was excellent. My dining companion enjoyed her very plentifully stuffed lobster roll with steak fries as well. Interesting and varied menu. Clean restroom. Mid priced. Great separation between the main restaurant eating area and the vibrant upstairs bar.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary. We wanted to try some place we'd never been. Food, service, atmosphere were all excellent. We will definitely beg going back.
Very unique and tasty meals great atmosphere reasonable prices
I've dined here many times - great food, great service! Love their vegetarian choices!
The wait time to be seated at 630 wasn't too bad but waiting for our food? What a joke. We waited at least 45 minutes for our food without warning. We received an apology for the food right as it was coming out. If the food was non edible I would give them 1 star.
Probably the best seafood platter I’ve ever had!!
Good food
Great food and atmosphere.
Painfully sub-par. Waitress was nowhere to be found most of the time. We were a party of 8 so that can be tough but the place wasn't that busy. took 2 hours to get our food and when we got it my medium steak was Very Rare. Sent my whole plate back and they cooked my steak little bit more and didn't give me my side back with it. We got charged the wrong prices for half of our meals. I pointed it out to the server and she changed it. Once again it was still wrong and she had to change our bill again. Then they went ahead and included a 20% tip in the bill when there is no way they earned a solid tip. TIP= To Insure Promptness
Small town feel, fun decor, great food and good service!
Excellent food...
Ordered scallops. Sea scallops. Received nickel size bay scallops. Wait staff was very nice and attentive.
Always great food, very consistent
Brianna is BEST bartender in the area will highly recommend to everyone
Bri is the best ever!!!!!!..
The food was good and the portion sizes were generous. However, our waitress Pam was very, very rude to us for no reason. It took forever for her to come back to get the check once we received it and paid, and she acted like she was offended that we wanted to split the check 4 ways. It’s something VERY simple with today’s technology and instead of being polite, she yelled “FOUR CARDS???,” rolled her eyes and immediately walked away. We also had a coupon from the local newspaper and she decided she would not accept it, even though there was no valid reason for her not to accept it. The coupon was $5 off a check of $25 or more and our check was over $100, so it made no sense. The lack of respect and politeness from this waitress made it so we will not return to this restaurant in the future. UPDATE: It’s now the day after and last night, two out of the four of us were very nauseaous and sick last night due to the fried shrimp.
Amazing people and service plus great food you can't go wrong at roosters
Great food dated decor. Would return best fish and chips
Very good but to expensive for me.
The lobster roll here is spectacularly delicious.
The ginger and molasses cookies followed by the Brazilian coffee were one of the great delights of this world.
Great good and a cozy place to eat and relax
Place it's nice, clam chowder soup was amazing
Delicious food. Good service. We dine here once abl year while in Maine.
Good food, been here many times
First off this place smelled like a nasty chicken coop floor, should have walked out at that point. The water they serve has a strong chlorine flavor to it. The food was terrible the breaded chicken tender sandwich was way overcooked and dry as a bone. The french fries are small thin cut fries similar to a fast food chain. We were NOT informed by our server that soda refills are not free, especially before refilling drinks. The chillidogs were burnt and chared and covered in what taste like canned chilli with a few added fresh vegies thrown in. Needless to say i did not feel satisfied by my meal, nor did my boyfriend, we will not be back.
Good food and drinks at reasonable prices for lunch with Bri making it fun with her banter and attentive service
Good food and great bar!
Their website says this place is owned by a chef. Well that chef should be embarrassed by the way the food comes out of the kitchen and the way the wait staff works. My wife and I were visiting the Bethel Inn and stopped here for dinner last night. We were seated upstairs which seemed to be a fun atmosphere until we realized that when you sit upstairs you get forgotten about. Initially the service was quick with the drinks, but once we placed our order we waited over an hour for our food. (Maybe that chef needs to hire some more help) as we were sitting waiting for our food, we saw several tables sending their food back, this should have been a clue for things to come. Thank God for that salad bar because we were very hungry to begin with when we got there. While still waiting, we never saw our waitress.....ever. My assumption is that she went on break or something and our food was ready and just sitting there because when we got our food everything was cold...unbelievable for the prices they are charging....learn how to run a restaurant.
This place was recommended to us by a local. Great menu with amazing service. Thanks for your hospitality!
Found this little gem on our roadtrip. What a fantastic restaurant bar. Food was great and they made it with our special requests. Staff is super friendy and decor is perfect. Briana at the bar made us feel like we were regulars. Chili is top notch!!! We will be back!!!
Looks a little odd from the outside. You actually enter from a side door. But once you go inside it's very nice and spacious. Food was fantastic. Moderate pricing. Great service.
Clean, attractive, cozy feeling, very good food. Server was efficient, friendly. Food came out in a timely manner.
The atmosphere was great and the food decent. Niether were outstanding but the fried food platter was really large and the mixed drink was strong. My largest dissappointment was in the flooded, frozen mess of a parkinglot.
Restaurant smelt of oder, food not so great, however the service was friendly & fast.
The food was delicious!! The staff was very accommodating and polite. It was a very quaint place. Looked like a lot of locals went there.
Decor like your grandmother's parlor, but an absolutely fantastic lobster roll that seemed to include an entire lobster. Absolutely spoiled me for the next week of driving through Nova Scotia looking for its equal.
For one called and asked if they had boiled lobster, they said yes. We got there about 15 minutes later and Voila, NO LOBSTER. Stike one. Ordered onion rings they brought French fries, strike two. Also very greasy. Chicken nuggets were burnt, strike three. Fisherman's platter tasted like frozen seafood. Strike four. Who gets a taco salad without hamburg or chicken? Strike five. I would not recommend the time or waste of money. A very unsatisfied customer.
My husband and I visit this restaurant once a year when we stay at Sunday River. The food is delicious. We have never had a meal we were disappointed with. The ambiance is quaint with roosters decorating the interior and a beautiful garden to walk through outside.
We have never been disappointed when we visited the Roadhouse. Service is good, food is very
The service was awesome, Briana is amazing. Best bartender in Maine.
Clean, but loud! Service was inexperienced! Originally ordered a lobster and waitress then later comes back saying sorry we are all out! So ordered fish instead! Fried clams were good! Also Ordered 2 ribeye steaks and got one ribeye and one sirloin! They insisted it was a ribeye even after waitress agreed the steaks clearly were different from each other! Food otherwise was good if that's what we actually ordered!
The food was amazing. Surf and Turf was spot on. It was out of season for lobster and they still made it happen with great flavors. Service was slightly under par but still decent.
Amazing food. Fresh ingredients. Good people. The people here make you feel like family. The place is filled with charm and feels so cozy, I swear I didn't want to leave. I had the wings, a house salad and the fried clam dinner it was so good.
Brought my parents out for lunch. Very personable. Sounded like fun in the bar upstairs. Good was good. Clams were great. Plenty of parking. Look forward to coming back with my husband for some cocktails and appetizers.
Great service always, lots of young hard working kids. That's a plus now a days.
,great food and service plus value.
Just had a delicious Rueben at the bar with excellent friendly bartender, Brianna and nice local gentlemen.
Great food. Good service every time. Out door seating.
Terrible service. It took 45 minutes to get our food, and another 10 to get the requisite ketchup. Food was okay but definitely *not* worth the wait.
Had the wing and chilli. Wing was average . The chilli was not eatable. Was like eating tomato paste.
Awesome food and service!!
Great food!
This place reminds me of Florida. The perfect mix of casual and dress up, any function is good here. Y'all I are like 5 salads in their endless salad bar. The Reuben was good but I wish I had gotten the shepherds pie. LOTS of Maine seafood and fried goodies. The soups were amazing.
Amazing food!
Great burgers and fish and chips
Evening out with friends, everyone was pleased with our choices. Great potions, and delicious food! Really enjoyed the flame broiled steaks.
A new favorite! We totally enjoyed our experience at Rooster's Roadhouse. Great food, excellent service in a very cool setting. This is an old barn with 2 levels of dining and an upstairs bar. My husband is extremely particular about his martinis. Pam was tending bar the night we were there and prepared it EXACTLY as he desired!! Excellent friend clams and amazing brined, maple pork chops!! Our server, Dora was fantastic! We definitely will be regular customers.
Enjoyed this as our first food stop in Maine. Has a local feel and the food was tasty
Great atmosphere upstairs. Good food, drinks and they have a sweet couch to lounge on...what else is there to say!?
Great service and food, very friendly staff. Excellent meal as always tonight Super bowl 51!
Waitresses hustle, big menu with daily specials and a soup/chowder/salad bar. Food is good! More fun atmosphere upstaits, more standard dining room with fireplace downstairs.
Great wait staff, food very good and the right amount of food not to much. Left with a full belly.
Mushroom ravioli was delicious! Very nice servers too
