Got ribs for take out, they were packaged so we'll the were still warm 45 minutes later when I got home. Great flavor and excellent sauce. I will need to find an excuse to be in Augusta for supper sometime to sample some more of the menu. I also noticed the have fresh squeezed lemonade.

Usually very happy when we have gone here. The wait this time was crazy. That would have been fine if it weren't for the fact that 4 parties that were seated after us had all gotten their food, eaten and were on their way out before we got our food. The waitress asked the men in our party if they wanted refill's on beer but literally ignored my sisters empty wine glass!!! Nevermind the fact that she never brought our appetizer. We did end up getting it after our meals and we were ready to leave.

Wow! What a great little gem of a restaurant! Stopped here on the way back from Acadia National Park on a Tuesday at 3pm and was not disappointed. My wife and I shared the bbq platter with super yummy brisket, delicately smoked chicken, amazing cornbread, and amazing ribs! Super friendly staff, and great tunes! We will be back to try the chicken wings.

I do a lot of traveling all over the country and always look to see what the locals have for Barbeque. This was okay, I guess if you have a BBQ place and you sell beans then YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW TO COOK THEM! Seriously, not only do undercooked beans make you fart, they don't taste that good. I guess if they aren't maine white beans, then.... I had the combo, meats were good with a nice smoke. Corn bread could be bigger, after all it is cornbread. Fix your beans, cowboy and I may give you another star.

The middle of the ribs were juicy and edible, the ends were as tough as jerky. Worst mojitos ever, wrong mint, wrong everything. Our table of two seemed to be inconveniencing the waitress, her fake demeanor was too transparent, and we will not be returning. The coleslaw was decent though.

Great lunch. We had the dry rub half rack and pulled pork sandwich. The meat in both was tender and flavorful. The meat fell off the bone. The bean side was very interesting with both, a little beat and sweetness. The terminator chocolate dessert was a perfect finish. I tried and loved their Pemaquid Red Ale, it's now my favorite. Great blue tunes streamed from Pandora, heard many of my favorite artists.

Ordered the river burger. Asked weightress for well done and no pink. I got pink and not well done. $12.69 for burger and fries a bit pricey. No offer for discount for the burger after we told the weightress about the under cooked burger. Would not recommend to friends.

Friendly staff. Killer deep fried duck legs and sauce - crispy, not greasy, on the outside and perfectly tender inside. Although the barbeque was good, we weren't overly fond of the one choice of sauce.

We experienced a very long wait (45+ mins) despite the place being at half capacity. We ordered a key lime chicken salad and the beef brisket sandwich, but found the flavors of our food were very underwhelming. On the bright side, the employees were courteous and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice.

We hit here for a later dinner - around 7 - and it was still surprisingly busy. Service was fast, though and the BBQ was great. New sauces are available, but the standard is plenty tasty. Menu is varied enough that you could bring people here that weren't BBQ fans, and they'd have plenty to choose from.

We are from the South and pretty much know our cue.. Riverfront is casually elegant and the food was excellent. I had the crab and slab..crab cake homemade with lots of meat and very crispy delicious. The ribs were perfectly cooked. Our waitress said they just came out of the smoker so we timed it right! My husband and son both had Caeser salads and son had slab with sides and hubby had the slab. The cornbread and beans were also delicious. Not sure what other patrons have ordered but our motto is eat what the joint is known for. We had a great table at the window with a view of the federal building. Great table great food and great waitress. We were there before 6 on a Monday night.. I was also very surprised that the quality of food and staff was that good on a Monday of a holiday week! We will be back and we will bring friends. Good job all!

Friendly staff. Was seated and 2 minutes later discovered we were next to a screaming child that was ear piercing. We asked to move and were quickly reseated just a minute later. Dinner arrived piping hot and delicious. My pulled pork sandwich and fries was quickly devoured. Husband had 1/2 chicken with beans, fries and cornbread. Said was also very good. Two thumbs up. Both for food and atmosphere.

I just had food from this place for the first time and honestly I was not as impressed as hoping to be. The food that I ordered which were chicken and steak sandwiches, ended up being dry in parts of the sandwich. Also the fries that came with the meal did not seem fresh and pretty much stale...Now, don’t get me wrong it still tasted okay and I know this place has potential, maybe it was just a bad day :/

I had the fish tacos and would very much recommend! We also had the pulled pork sandwich and while it was delicious, beware of the warning on the menu - they mean it when they say it's hot!!! Wait staff was great and all kinds of beer on draft and a full bar. The dining room can get noisy but its all the right kind of atmosphere

Delicious food, lovely interior and a selection of Maine beers make this a great place for both a quick tasty bite and a romantic meal! They have a great changing table in the bathroom, making this also ideal for a meal out with your infant or toddler. Patrick, the owner came out and chatted with us to make sure our experience was top notch! We would love to visit again! And the location along the river made our visit easy and picturesque.

This restaurant has a lot of things going for it. Good food, cozy dive atmosphere, but we experienced a long-ish wait, and kept having to ask for our drinks to be filled. Perhaps they were understaffed? Regardless, we at least enjoyed the food. We ordered hush puppies, BBQ combo with pulled pork and pulled chicken, and the blackened haddock. I wanted to order the fish tacos, but they do not carry corn tortillas, only flour. The best part about the meal were the sauces.

Visiting the area and read good reviews on Yelp. We are here twice as the food was authentic BBQ. Enjoyed atmosphere and blues music. Service good. Sauces excellent. Many food options. The BBQ brisket was superb. The carribean shrimp really nice. Nice vino by the glass list, although the pour was on the meager side. (The Red Blend from Africa was noteworthy). Would seek this place out again if ever passing through Augusta.

Good prompt service, good food that focuses on BBQ & grilled dishes. Full bar. Its difficult to say that their BBQ style fits any particular region of the U.S. It's good and satisfying, unless you're graving a particular regional style. I believe the corn bread is far too sweet, but I prefer mine with jalapenos.

The is GREAT Bbq! We found this place about a month ago and had to come back! It’s absolutely delicious! The only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because the drinks and a bit weak and the interior needs an update. Other then that I’d give it 5 stars and I am picky about my Bbq ever since living down south. We will be going again and I recommend this place to my friends.

This was our second time there. The beans were way overdone and had no flavor. The brisket was dry and the ribs were so salty I couldn't even eat them. The chicken was good and the wings were excellent. Unfortunately the rest of the food was not very good. Great staff nice atmosphere though.

Sampler platter was large and tender. I particularly enjoyed the ribs, but found everything good. The chicken was impressively smokey. I also liked that they had a sauce option that was not sweet. Plenty of street parking and nice cozy venue.

Nice little place that has good BBQ and dynamite corn bread. The bar and tables are dark rich wood adding a touch of old world class to the place. Beer selection is a bit light but there is variety. If I end up back in Maine I will stop by again

After a long journey from New Hampshire to Vermont we landed in Maine to see our last capital in the New England area. It was late and my inner Texan said BBQ? BBQ?!! In main, lets see what they got here. The parking is difficult yet since it was so late we found a place to park in front of the restaurant. The waitress was courteous and effective. We entered and the kids had their regular order of hot dog and chicken tenders. Very good portions for a kids meal. I had the half rack of pork ribs with a side of beef while honey had the pasta. Pasta was ok. The ribs had an extremely delightful taste of their rub and slight smoke taste. The beef was dry and my inner Texan said, "yup thought so." I was amazed at the pork ribs so that is a must taste. You can order the meat as a meal or a la carte. The price was $71 so a bit pricey. I wouldn't make this a top visit yet a visit would be a good idea.
