Excellent food, superb location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and good drinks all at reasonable prices. All and all, this place delivers. If you're in the area, I would highly suggest a stop here. We had the prime and the fish and chips. The prime rib was cooked to perfection and served as rare as I like it to be (this in and of itself is hard enough to find), the fish was moist and flakey in a crispy Guinness batter. Excellent. Very well deserving of these five stars.

We just love this restaurant. We've been guests for 30 years. Best Sunday breakfast buffet ($8.99) with made to order omelets, homemade corned beef hash and sausage gravy & biscuits. Donna is a longtime server and we always request her and ask for seating in the Fox Den (where there is a cozy fireplace). Lunch and Dinner is also great, as are the pizzas.

Honestly one of the best meals I have ever eaten. I didn't know corn on the cob could be THAT good. The ribs fell off the bone, the steak tips were unbelievably tender and moist, the spinach & parmasan app we ordered was perfect. I can't wait to go back. Our waiter was outstanding, the prices were totally reasonable, there was no wait RIGHT as storyland was getting out and they sat our large party right away. You're screwing up your vacation if you're choosing the muddy moose, Delaney's, sea dog, or abenaki trail. Red fox is THE place for dinner.

Not impressed at all this time around at this restaurant. Have eaten here before like 4 yrs ago and it was good. I said then the next time I'm in the area I'm eating here again. I wish I hadn't. I placed an order of wings half buffalo and half maple and they brought me out half buffalo and half Thai chili....which wasn't the worst thing in the world but still kinda irked me. Then my haddock showed up so badly burnt it was barely edible....I wasn't impressed at all.... especially the amount you have to pay. My son got one of their pizzas with bacon and pepperoni....it was gross....they use these big thick chunks of bacon which feel like your chewing on rubber when on the pizza....nasty! My girl got a salad that had pears on it that tasted like medicine.....she was so disgusted she didn't eat most of the salad. My youngest son had Mac and cheese which looked and tasted like it came out of a box but they charge you and arm and leg for it. I will not be back to this place. Not sure if ownership has changed or if the chef had a stroke while cooking the food.....but the wait was ridiculous after replacing the order for the food as well. Two thumbs down

Enjoyed one of the BEST meals EVER at The Red Fox Bar and Grille! The lobster ravioli is "to die for" - very rich with a delicious sherry sauce, and chock full of lobster with generous chunks of lobster sprinkled on top. A great value! The Caesar salad was wonderful - the very best I've ever tasted, with real anchovy dressing. And the individual carrot cake was moist and scrumptious, with spices that are subtle and not overpowering. My husband and brother had steak that they absolutely loved - my brother said it was the BEST meal he had eaten in a year!

We have been before and love it the buffet is great the omelette guy is AWESOME!!!! the staff is always great the regular menu is delicious however yesterday the waitress we had apparently either wasn't interested in our small 2 people tip or didn't feel like working because my husband requested unsweetened ice tea and she brought him orange juice (which as a diabetic he shouldn't have) we tried to find her and finally I asked a waiter for help she brought him the unsweetened ice tea then later I was hoping she would come back for a coffee refill so I tried for several minutes to get her attention finally she noticed me waving my cup around. With all that said we will be back as we have never had a problem one of the waitresses we've had before is awesome and the food is great!!!!

Not only does red fox have the best sunday all you can eat brunch in all of N.H but the dinner menu is excellent as well. We visit the area yearly and its always on the to do list. If your on the move and looking for some good take out, even when the restaurant is on a 40-60 minute wait , i called and our order was ready in 15 minuets . Complete with a bag of fresh warm bread for the dog! A must stop when in the area

Excellent food.. Everyone in our group were happy with their dishes. Our waiter RJ was awesome and patient with a smile. We called ahead to reserve a table for 9 and told we would have a table in a half-hour, but we did still had to wait when we got there.. They were busy and the food made up for the long wait. Highly recommend but call early for reservations

This place went above and beyond our expectations. We had a 30min wait with a 3 year old, and the place was packed but the adjacent kids playroom AND movie theater made it fly by! When we sat we had a phenomenal meal. The steak tips and gouda and bbq ribs are to DIE for! Brandon was a wonderful server but everyone from reservations, to the bar, to the hosts were great. 5 stars and we can't wait to come back the next time we are up visiting from CT!

Meh. It was busy, it's probably always busy. It's sort of geared towards families, but sort of not. I feel like maybe they are trying to be too many things, so they don't really have an identity. I couldn't figure out if I was in a higher end restaurant or a Ground Round. Overall the food was good, although I got one item specifically to taste something out of the Josper and I was disappointed. The server was very nice, but overall not impressive. Although she did say they sat a lot of parties all at the same time, so she was likely running in a lot of directions. When the hostess was bringing us to the front room I heard the server complain. W didn't have silverware or napkins until our appetizer was almost finished, and we ate dinner with dirty plates on the table. I'm glad i went, but likely will not return.

Service here is awful. Just to check in takes forever, service is sloooow, and there is simply no recognition of the line going out the door for people to put a name on a list. Literally only one person at check in who literally stares into his computer as opposed to addressing the people waiting for service. This on a Saturday morning when the place is typically crowded for brunch, i.e, bad management planning. We literally thought we should call while on line to put our name on the list bc picking up the phone was more important than addressing the 6 different groups of people waiting. Food is okay but be prepared to be frustrated by service. We have come here multiple times and it’s always the same.

A very romantic place for you and your special one, to go and relax. The menu has many options and I've never had anything that has disappointed me in the slightest. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a great environment for a night out with the girls/boys or with the family. It was perfect for the kids, they even had a movie room so the kids had entertainment for the wait time and were enjoying their time there without the parents having to worry about occupying them. The waiters/waitresses were also phenomenal. My waiter was Chris and he was very funny and efficient at getting food orders and serving the food as well. The food was delicious and I only had to wait abt 20 minutes for it. The restaurant itself was also very clean and inviting. I give this restaurant a 5/5 star rating and will definitely be going back!

My family has been coming here on post Story Land and post skiing dinners for 8 years. We have never had a bad meal. Despite being always busy, they do their best to seat you asap. Always good service. The menu has shrunk a bit over the years but there are still plenty of options for both those looking for something hearty as well as those looking for something light, like a high quality salad. Many great wood fired specialities. This is not haute cuisine, but the choices are on par with any modern/updated family restaurant. The free movies for the kids in the waiting area is always a welcome perk. Basically, an amazingly well run/managed restaurant over the years.

Even though originally bothered to be seated in the Fox Den (kids area) the food and service in this place was memorable! We came here to celebrate the culmination of our backpacking trip of summer 2019 and it was amazing! The menu has a lot of unique options and our waiter, Brandon, was superb. Totally recommend the skin potatoes as an appetizer (ordered it twice) and their sea food and pizza!

Went here for breakfast on Sunday and the buffet was excellent. made to order omelet station, fresh made waffles, great quality bacon , and a bread pudding that was phenomenal. This place draws a crowd and there is usually a wit for Sunday breakfast but it is well worth especially for $10 a person. The staff was great and the manager Jeff couldn't have been more accommodating. Do yourself a favor and check this place out for Sunday breakfast.

My family and i were adventuring around town and found this place that was unfortunately not on the discovery map we got at our motel. I am a foody and love to travel when i can all over new england and my visit here was exceptional. Friendly rustic atmosphere and a menu that caters to everyone, i have say thank you very much for the great food, fast service(20 minute wait for a party of 4 at peake hours on a saturday, wow) and decent price per portion. We always visit the Red Fox on our North Conway trips. They have a great menu for the whole family. My wife has a lot of food allergies and she has always been happy with her meal options. The kitchen staff seems very accommodating and will try to meet your needs. They have a separate area for families, which includes a children's play and movie area. We recommend the Red Fox to everyone.

Celebrated our 20th anniversary here. Everything was perfect. Sandy was our server and was attentive and detail oriented, even remembered little things we asked for that customized the order. We got a bunch of food and boxed most of it to go (just pointing that out because this was WAY too much for two people to eat). Pizza, medallions with shrimp, burger, and nachos. All of it was just right.

First of all...who is responsible for this?? I can’t get the gouda mashed potatoes out of my mind. It’s been over a month since our daughter and son in law treated us to an anniversary dinner at this great restaurant. I must share the love! We started with the wood fired spinach dip and it just got better from there. My husband and I both ordered the Bourbon Tips with those crazy good potatoes. The tips were the perfect blend of flavors and incredibly tender, perfectly paired with those must haves, (you know what I’m going to say). Get out your google, get out your road maps, your compass, your gps, or follow your instincts, just find your way there! Collect your friends or family, it’s worth the trip. Go for the gouda!

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!!!! Our waitress wasnt the best as she tried to overcharge me TWICE and ran my credit card through. The first time the bill was correct ($80) so I dont know why she changed it AFTER I gave her my card. She came back and said the first reciept she gave me was wrong, and then she charged my card for $125,I knew the first one was right so I read the second one i told her that was incorrect, then she said she was sorry and would fix it, then she came with another reciept that was about $100 and added a whole extra meal that we didnt order. I told her it was wrong again and she went back to fix it and came back with reciept she had first given me, which the correct one ($80) the food was great but I recommend checking your receipt before you get charged!!

While visiting the White Mountains, several times, there are a LOT of options for food. By the end of our latest trip, Red Fox came out as the clear standout. This place has a massive capacity. Even though the lot may look full, there is a ton of seating in here. Great for intimate dinners or large groups, Red Fox has it covered. The wood fired oven is front and center upon entering and sets a warm time right off the bat. There's a decent sized bar/lounge, just to the right of the front desk, with TV's etc if that's what you're after - nothing loud, just warm and inviting. From folks seating tables to the serving staff, everyone is friendly and accommodating. There's soft music playing throughout, but quiet enough that it's not annoying - the last time we were there I heard some Boz Skaggs, Steely Dan, Adelle... Good stuff. The menu is devine and reasonably priced. We didn't try any of the pizzas, but based on what we have had, I'd expect they're excellent. Warm, crusty, homemade bread and butter basket always comes first. A welcome appetizer after a day in the mountains. A couple of our favorites were the 2 petite fillets with bourbon mushroom sauce (your choice of 2 sides) and crab stuffed haddock. OMG! As I said, there is much on the menu that we didn't try, but there will be something sure to please everyone. The burgers I saw going to other tables looked fantastic and at $10 - $13 seem reasonable. This place has it figured out. You can dress up or I saw people in here in jeans and t-shirts. The atmosphere, the staff, the menu, everything about the Red Fox is damn close to perfect. Our go-to while staying in Jackson.

Yoooooooo! That Brunch thoooo! That pomegranate mimosaaaaaaa! The Buffet is A MUST IF YOUR ARE NEAR THIS AREA, worth the 10 minute detour and the 9 bucks! Amazing buffet I dont even really even like to put breakfast food in my tank this was worth it. 3 different types of hashbrowns( vegetable, corned beef and orginal) and moreee! Fruit, desserts, annnnd omelet staationn!

Great place! Highly recommended for families or couples alike. Had the maple bacon, sausage, and ham pizza. To die for! The chicken caprese sandwich is very good as well. Very clean. The also have a bar and lunch specials.

I was craving Shepherds Pie and they had what I wanted! It was delicious! The plate was huge compared with the price I was paying, which I found affordable. The waitress was nice and patient, even though we were a large group. I would definitely come back.

Wow! Best meal of our travels across NE yet. The clam chowder was FANTASTIC and lobster roll and grilled crab and cheese sandwiches left us gratefully satisfied. Wish we could return again and again!

This place was recommended to us this year and it was awesome! Perfect atmosphere for adults and children. They have a play area for the little ones and a huge dining room with ample seating for everyone. Food was amazing and service was excellent as well. They do take reservations which is key up here in north conway! Overall it was an excellent place to eat and we plan on going back in '19!

Very nice breakfast buffet. We enjoyed chatting with friends in the cozy atmosphere. A special compliment to the chef at the omelet station. Very entertaining while whipping up great omelettes. My only criticism is that my second cup of coffee was lukewarm. If you want to try the breakfast buffet, don't let the crowded parking lot scare you away. There's lots of room inside. Enjoy!
