We love Panda Garden the food is always fresh and the servers treat you like family. The only thing is that it is never very busy since most of their business was stolen by Lotus the mega-buffet across the parking lot. Don't miss out on the great food and give them a try.

This was our first time since ownership change. The place was reasonably clean, the food was reasonably fresh, and plenty of variety. The price remains competitive. The new manager stopped at our table and visited. She asked questions, and seems genuinely interested in making Panda a good place to eat. Update: We returned, and were disappointed to the point of not going back. There were signs around saying that they would charge extra if you left food on your plate or the table messy. Being concerned for these things just ruined the whole dining experience. How clean did the table need to be? What if we tried something and it just didn't taste good? Food was still okay, but the signs gave me indigestion.

The bathrooms were disgusting. In the men's, the wall next to the sink was rusted through. This didn't happen overnight. It has to have been really bad for months. The carpeting was really dirty. The food area looked clean but when other things are so bad, it made me wonder about the kitchen. The food tasted fine but the experience was not good.

50% added to check for wasted food seems a little absurd. That wasn't the main reason we didn't eat there, but It was the part that said "20% added to your bill for a dirty table". Well, since we have kids, I guess we have to pay even more. Anyway we asked what was considered a "dirty table" and they said ice cream and napkins etc. We aren't the type to pick places a part, but seriously you're a restaurant...that is part of the business. Should it bother me that they didn't even flinch when we said we'll go somewhere else?

I've been going here for years. The older lady at the front is the owner. She doesnt speak english to well so she may come off as rude. But she is a very welcoming & friendly lady. I love the wontons! The pricing is really good too ! Its very cheap a whole meal under $8 . If you dont like serving your self or getting your own drink then go to Bennihana & stop complaining.

Honest review. I cannot believe how terrible this place is, I work nearby and I am completely done supporting this place financially. Today was the last straw. I have become use to the grumpy lady that has worked there since forever (I guess I'd be grumpy too). But now the old guy from the kitchen stares and looks at people like you've done something wrong although I just got there, mumbling under his breath like a coward, obviously talking about customers literally for NO reason! This place is a disaster. Food is tasteless, customer service just does not exist at all, it's dirty, very low quality food and the reason it is cheap is because THEY USE OLD MEAT! So please stop with the misleading reviews saying "what else do you expect from a Chinese buffet..." um, for one that's pretty insulting and two I expect a lot more than what I get from this place that's for sure. There's no excuse for bad service, being rude, dirty and poor food quality if you're in the restaurant business. Period!

Had the Fried Rice and This time I chose the Fried Shrimp - WOW !! What a treat ! Staff is always polite and asks if you want sauce with your Chicken egg roll - another great pick. I never have made it to the Chow Mein or the Spring Rolls, but my Wife told me to get the Chow Mein next time because you get more of that than the rice. Very clean restaurant, great seating, even for handicapped people like me. We will be back again next week !!

For the price, I think the selection is great. Service was good, it’s a buffet so I got my own drinks and sat myself. Which I like! It made it go by quick and easy. In my opinion I enjoy this place way better than Ocean Buffet. This place just had a better atmosphere and service. It wasn’t as busy as I’d expect it to be, but I wish it was. It’s like one of those great hidden mom and pop shops around this area.

Came aaround 10:49 am because on the hours on google says it was open at 10:00am. Me and my kids came in and they were still setting up the food. We were standing there for a few minutes there was an older guy setting up he saw us, but didnt greet us or at least acknowledge that we were there. He continued what he was doing and still didn't at least let ua know that it will be a few minutes before they finish setting up so i just left with my kids. My first time here and will not return again.

Dirty and cold food. Poor service. Old man at the mongolian grill dropped the scraper, picked it from the floor and proceeded to scrape the grill then cooked my food. I did not eat that. Disgusting. I brought it to the cashier's attention and he did not even apogize. Don't waste your time here.

This used to be a good Chinese buffet back in 99. Not anymore. The food is terrible and you're taking a chance eating it. It's seems old, rancid, and not fresh food at all. The dining area is now filthy and sticky. The restrooms were just terrible. The walls are rotting and rusting away in the restrooms. The restaurant was very dead when I ate there last. I'm afraid I won't return again. I will not risk it with food poisoning and the staff seem like they don't give a crap.

The old lady at the checkout was very rude and disrespectful towards me. I went to go paid for my food and didn't have my bank card when I told her she said "do you carry cash" which I said "I don't carry cash", she proceed to say "what is wrong with your brain, what were you thinking" and the way she said it was very nasty. Didn't even want to give it 1 star. The food was cold, lots of empty trays so not much choice. Asked for lettuce to make a salad, never filled it the whole time we were there. No choices at all for dessert! The ice cream machine is broke, there was coconut cream pie and maybe cheese cake that looked like they had been sitting there all day. Dessert bins were filled with cheese balls, animal crackers, fake Oreos, peanut butter filled crackers. Spent $24 for the two of us now just hoping we don't have food poisoning!!! Needless to say we won't be back!!

And I also find it ridiculous that if you leave your table messy they you charge you a extra 25% and if you waste food they charge another 50%, no other restaurant does that!!!! If your doing that bad in business that you need to charge extra for a messy table or wasted food you should think about closing or changling to get more business!! Restaurant was not very clean, pop dispensers were sticky garbage on the floor, was not a great experience and I will not be giving them my business again

Mmm m. Nope, if you see yourself even stopping in here, don't bother, stop at this review. Went during lunch time on a Wednesday with the family, thank goodness we didn't bring the babies!!! 4/6 of our party members ended up with food poisoning, vomiting, diarrhea, the whole poison factory man!!! Should have known something was up when these cats were putting 20 pounds of fresh fried chicken out for 12 customers occupying two tables. And yeah, you guessed it.

Now I usually don't write reviews of places but this place needs the health department called on them the lil old lady stared at me with hate filled rage. she kept telling me to sit down as if I was going to attack her or something I was ordering take out and the orange /seaseme chicken was (MADE WITH GRADE D CHICKEN !!!!!!!) THE CHICKEN WAS DARK AS IF IT WAS NOT COOKED ALL THE WAY chicken is supposed to be made with white meat. This is the most unpleasant Chinese food I've ever had I WOULDNT FEED THAT $#!+ TO MY DOG. I've been going to this place for about 15 years, so this place is sort of a unique place for me. The food in my opinion is a better than average in taste. Over the years they've had some bad days where the food wasn't great, and I've had fantastic days where everything is fresh. That's what you get with a buffett. They have a good selection of Chinese and some American food. My favorite thing that I get everytime is their red chicken sticks. Theres enough variety in my opinion to make it a better value than Panda Express across the way. My family and I used to eat in house, but we found out that you can fill a to go box and take a lot of food home for a cheaper price than eating there. Plus we can usually get 2 meals out of it. As for the lady at the front, she has worked there all 15 years I've been going there so I assume shes the owner of the place. Her English isn't the greatest, and sometimes she can come across as rude, but I think it's honestly just the language barrier. I really wish I could understand her a bit better. The interior of the restaurant is a little worn down with a lot of the original paintings and decor from 15 years ago, but its good enough to get the job done. Overall I still like this place over all of these years and is my go to take out place when I'm super hungry. Brooklyn Park doesn't have a ton of great options, but this is still one of my favorites. If you're skeptical, the to go prices are great and you can get a full meal for about 6-7 bucks. Give it a try!

Went for dinner on a Thursday night. Arrived about 7. Fairly empty of people. The food was ok but it had been sitting for a while. Around 8 some more people showed up and they started putting fresh food out. And dont go into the bathrooms. Need maintenance and a good cleaning. Old air fresheners everywhere in the men's.

Under New ownership as of 2018. So far they are still working on the quirks but they have the same exact stuff but more (like Bahn Mi's etc)! A lot more to go items, probably an ideal place if you want party catering. Also, to go trays are weighed by the pound and ultimately a better deal than LeeAnn Chin or Panda Express.

I’ve been there twice now for lunch. The food has been fresh and plentiful both times. Honestly the first time, I thought a lot of items were bland and not seasoned very good. However, this last time, the flavors were much better. I also think their pho is better than Ocean Buffet and other buffets because of their variety of toppings and condiments like chili oil. Service is very good too. I recommend this place!

My roommate bought me lunch here yesterday. I was surprised to find out Panda Garden now has sushi (they didn’t the last time I stopped by there) but the selection was limited. The other foods I ate were okay at best. The fried rice in particular didn’t taste all that fresh. One bizarre thing that happened was the man behind the Mongolian Grill telling me to “eat fast.” What in the world did he mean by that? The place wasn’t crowded at all. I’m willing to try Panda Garden again in the future but there are definitely better Asian buffets out there.

It was okay here. I had a great time but my mom and 2 older brothers didn't really like it. There were no waiters or waitresses which was weird, but to me it was interesting and you also had to get your own beverage too which made things even more interesting. It was new and I didn't mind it at all but my family was very dissapointed. There is though, quite a small selection if food and dessert here which makes sense because they seem to just be starting out. No ice cream that I saw, but overall it was a wonderful deal for me! Cheap and decent.

I said yes he said 9.50 gave me a table reserved card and my reciept and left! This place was GREAT. Ignore the reviews that seem to ONLY dock points because of a supposedly "grouchy" hostess. People have bad days, and since you serve yourself at this buffet, it didn't affect the experience. There is a great selection, sushi is available, and the drink selections include soda, coffee, and milk, all unlimited, and all self-serve. The food quality was what you'd expect for a buffet. At $8 for lunch, it's difficult to beat. I'd recommend it. 01/13/14

I thought I left a review before maybe it got deleted... my wife and I went there after her having 3/4 of her tounge cut out due to cancer. She was finally feeling like she could eat some real food other than a liquid diet and when we went there to the buffet table had two dishes that's it and it wasn't anything that my wife could eat or even I wanted to eat. I tried to leave the pljace because I said you don't have any food. They say you have to still pay? Why do I have to pay for food that I haven't ate? They got real nasty at me and said you still owe us for two buffets. I wasn't even in there for 5 minutes. I wanted to have some Chinese buffet there was only two dishes in the whole Buffet. There's got to be at least 50 or 60 slots for different types of meals on those warmer tables on the buffet. Only two little trays at 4:30 on a Friday night. It had always been my favorite Chinese restaurant I really hate to say this about them but they were threatening to call the cops when I left because I didn't want to pay because I didn't eat anything we didn't eat a single crumb of food because there was nothing that we could eat there was noodles and there was wontons that was it. I got up and left and they told me that I owed them $22 I said for what I didn't eat anything I didn't dirty a single plate or a piece of silverware I had a glass of water placed in front of me didn't ask for it. Really changed my mind about this place. You have a buffet, I Chinese food buffet you would expect 25 to 40 different types of things on a buffet table, the whole buffet table was empty except for Singapore rice noodles and pork fried rice that was the only two things. And they wanted me to pay $22 for that? Unbelievable they threatened to call the cops on me when I left because I didn't eat anything I didn't buy anything and I wasn't going to pay for a Clean Plate that was still clean I'm when I left because there was no food to be eaten. Very very disappointed. I used to love this place. I just never had ever even imagined going to a buffet where there was two items Singapore rice noodles or pork fried rice there was three hole warmers salad bar cart buffet table things empty at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon and there wasn't a single customer in there besides us. I'm sorry to write this review but boy was that a bad experience. Get up to leave because you don't have any food to offer. And you threatened to call the cops on me because I didn't pay I didn't eat anything neither did my wife there was nothing to be eating. And I got threatened to be having the cops called on to me. I don't know about everybody else but I don't typically like the pay for empty plates or not eating food why am I going to pay $22 for nothing I did eat a single thing I didn't even eat a wonton chip. I want Panda Garden to reimburse me and give me a gift certificate for at least enough for me and my wife to go back there again and try to give them a positive review. They used to do oh good it was my number one Chinese restaurant then my wife got a stage 3 tongue cancer we went there for a soft meal something different besides mashed potatoes and pudding and there was nothing

I didn't have that much of a variety, and they used very bright fluorescent lights. Lacked the calm feeling of a Chinese restaurant. Instead felt like Chinese fast food.

New ownership. Food is pretty tasty and fresh. Good variety of plates. I tried the pho and it was Delicious! Pretty tasty. The bathrooms are clean and have all amenities available. I will be back for sure.
