Noisy but well prepared and tasty food. Our server was quick on the order and delivery of the food but it was difficult to get coffee and hot water for tea refills . We couldn't catch her attention yet she would walk by our table often. The restaurant bill puts an 18% tip on the electronic bill that the server brings to the table and you pay on that if using a credit card. Lots of beer selections which change often.

In town on vacation, my family loves poutine, so we had to try it. All the food and cocktails we tried were phenomenal. Our server was great. The restaurant is aesthetic and the atmosphere was awesome. Try the margarita flight, poutine, and creme brulee - won't be disappointed.

This place could have (should have) been pretty great. The space is very nice and the vibe is great. The food and service however were lackluster. A few of the dishes were excellent. Others were average and a couple were just carelessly prepared. Our server got several orders wrong and while it wasn't super busy, she seemed frazzled. The best thing I can say about this place is there wasn't a wait to get in :)

Went in for a quick lunch on a weekday. Head to the restroom to wash my hands and see an employee come out of the stall, and without washing his hands went right back into the kitchen. I spoke with a staff member and said "I hope he's not touching my food, because he didn't wash his hands." She told me not to worry since he was a dishwasher. Okay. The menu is quite limited. The food took 1/2 hour to receive. There was oil pouring out of the onion rings when I bit them and the fish sandwich was soaked in oil. The prices were high, the ambiance was meh, and the waitress was not interested. We will not be back. Edit: Recently had a work dinner here......it was great! The staff was attentive and friendly and the food was amazing. I had the scallop risotto and I loved it. I have changed this to a three-star review as an average of my two visits. I actually will be back to try again, since this last visit was so good. Give it a try!

A truly terrific dining experience. The dining room gets wonderful natural light and the design and functionality are in sync. My family and I tried half the menu and we were all satisfied and impressed. Very nice server and a delicious bread pudding dessert. Scarborough is fortunate to have O'Reilly's Cure.

Excitement from the decor and crowd fizzled...we had to send back two meat plates due to being very rare when asked to be medium well. Short ribs I have seen usually fall off the bone using a fork These had to be cut using a knife. Another person with us had an over cooked hamburger. All in all I think a 2nd trip is in order to get the most out if it. Our waitress Megan was great, super personable and always there to make sure we had what we needed.

My family visited O'Reilly's Cure after a nice day at the beach. We were seated quickly at a corner table. The waiter was attentive and had a thorough knowledge of the menu and excellent drink recommendations. We started off our dinner with the poutine. My kids kept telling us that this poutine was the best, even better than the poutine from our annual ski trip to northern VT. For the main meal, the kids had the mac + cheese and the Oak Hill burger. My wife had the lobster roll and I had the Reuben sandwich. The food was excellent. We also enjoyed their IPA selection. We will definitely be heading back on our next trip to Maine.

Very nice atmosphere and great food. It's nice to have a "foodie" place in Scarborough and outside of the Portland Old Port area. There is a lack of nicer non-tourist targeted restaurant choices between Scarborough and Saco, so this was a welcome find.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch today, in the early afternoon, and were really excited to try the food after viewing the menu online. There were a couple other patrons in the bar area, but otherwise it was completely empty. The hostess seated us in the dining room, per our request. We sat there for approximately 20 minutes and no one came to check on us or take our order. I’m 8 months pregnant and just couldn’t wait any longer to eat, so we left. As we were leaving, the hostess was seated up front, using her laptop. She simply smiled and wished us “a nice day”. No concern for why we were leaving without being served? I would really like to give this restaurant another chance, as the atmosphere is lovely and the menu sounds delightful, but sadly now I’m pretty reluctant.

It was not a good night here. The Mac & Cheese bite app was cold in the middle and the OC Burger that was ordered medium came raw in the middle. We sent both back, got apologies and 20% off the check. I had to wait for the burger to come back (which this time was well done) while my wife ate her meal, and she had to go inside to get the ice water she had initially ordered, but was never delivered. After working all day and just wanting a quick meal and a drink, the experience was very dissapointing. They should have comped the mistakes after the 2nd incident. Not sure we will be back

We went here tonight for the first time. I thought the food was fantastic. My husband had the Guinness Beef Stew, with soda bread, and I had the haddock sandwich, with onion rings. Nothing tasted frozen( which another reviewer had indicated was the case). My haddock was fresh, and it was very good. I tried a bit of my husband's stew and it had great flavor, and the soda bread was home made, served with maple butter. The prices are comparable with anything you would get by the mall, mine was 12$, and my husband's was 15$. Both were very generous portions, and all the plates that I saw go by were just as generous. Monday night's they have Gaelic Music, and Wednesday night's they will be having live music as well starting this week. Definitely enjoyed the atmosphere and our service was excellent. Excited to have a new place to go so close to home

I have ordered food a few times. Loved the poutine. The chocolate chipper ice cream sandwich is awesome and big enough to share. The cottage pie is unbelievably good. The haddock chowder was a preperation different than I prefer, too much lemon maybe? Kind of sour.

This was my second time at this restaurant and I wasn’t impressed with the food. My husband and I started with the charcuterie and the serving sizes were off. There was a ton of cheese, not enough crackers/pita. The portion was crazy for an appetizer; a smaller portion and a smaller price tag would have been more appropriate. I ordered the whiskey glazed salmon for my entree and everything on the plate needed salt. (Side note: outside of this outing, I’m on a diet that limits salt so most normal food tastes salty to me right now.) The salmon was cooked well but needed salt. The vegetables were soggy and bland, and the potatoes were boring. My husband was happy with his ribs, and the bartender was great.

Good food and beer choices with outdoor seating and firepits to enjoy seasonally. It may get loud on the weekends (like other places with a concrete floor) so go for lunch if you prefer a quieter setting.

I enjoy this little place. It is clean at first look...but if you look close the lights and wood booth framing are all very dusty. The staff is friendly. The food is very good....just remember to keep it dusted, no one wants to look up and see cobwebs and dust above their heads. You have a great little place....make it look like you love it!!

**UPDATE** My best friend brought me back to O'Reilly's Cure on Monday and I thought the experience deserved an update of my previous 2 Star review to a 5 Star review. We sat at the bar and the bartender was polite, attentive, and knowledgeable. He recommended the flat bread as an appetizer to go with the Bissell Bros brews we ordered and made a great tequila recommendation. Thank you for making it such a great experience. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep coming back. I very much appreciated the response to my review from O'Reilly's Cure. Because of the response I WILL be going back. Thank you very much. I went to the bar this evening with a couple of friends. In addition to not engaging me (the one paying the check) the bartender dropped the F-bomb several times. Not impressed and not going back.

I should give O’Reilly’s 5 stars, but I’m holding back till my next visit just to see how they compare with my first two visits. Our first visit was for drinks only for a co-worker going away party. The only thing that really stuck from that visit was the proximity to home. Several months had passed since we were last at O’Reilly’s and decided to try them for a late lunch\early dinner. Best dining decision we ever made for a local joint. Service was top flight and the food was even better. Price point and portion size were right on too. Make sure to order the Poutine as an appetizer and give the cottage stew a try too. This is one of those restaurants where you really want to try everything on the menu.

My friend and I both ordered the steak special, one medium rare and one medium. When the steaks arrived they were charred on the outside and nearly raw inside. We sent them back to be cooked more. When they were returned my friend had to send the steak back again. I decided to try mine and the first three bites were pure gristle. Neither of us will be returning to O'Reilly's Cure.

Really good beer/drink menu with extensive options. Prices are in line with places like this elsewhere, which are a little higher than I would maybe like, but having said that, all of the food was excellent too. The veggie burger is home-made so you're at least getting something for your money instead of paying the same and getting a frozen Morninstar Farms patty for the same price. The fries are also excellent. Staff was helpful and patient, allowing for samples of beer/cider before ordering a full pint.

Been a couple times, and it's been awesome. Had the same waitress, Amanda who was quick, friendly, and witty! They lit the fires outside for us, served some awesome beers, and the food is great. One of my favorite Reuben sandwiches ever, and you need to try the Brussels Sprouts. Great home made Bloody Mary's too! We really like it here!

Great place to go for big portions and fast service. The staff is kind and friendly. There's music on Mondays at 6 PM. Food was great, came out fast and was delicious. It is a bit expensive, but worth it. I recommend the fish chowder.

My first review was in the fall of 2016, shortly after O'Reilly's opened. I returned in Nov 2017 and felt my review needed to be updated to reflect improvements in service. I went on a busy night and the service was good, I had drinks and food ordered promptly and they arrived in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered a burger and salmon again. Both were good. I liked the selection of beers on tap, I was able to get some local brews that I had not tried before. Also they showed the upcoming tap schedule on a screen, I liked that. I'll be adding O'Reilly's to the rotation of local restaurants I visit. ------------------------------ I've been here several times since it has opened. The location is convenient, there is not much else in the area and it is close to home. The food is pretty standard pub fair. The burgers/sandwiches are fine, but the salmon with brussel sprouts has stood out as the best dish I've had there. The food arrives pretty quickly after ordering, but placing an order can be painstakingly slow. Last time we went (weeknight, not busy) we waited 12 minutes after we sat down to get water and see a waitress.

Sort of an upscale Irish pub. Convenient location off Rte 1 w free parking. Decent selection of brews and good pub food. We had the fish and chips and a steak and both were very good. Service also fast and friendly. It is not a typical pub atmosphere though - it is an open and clean look as opposed to the warm and intimate look of a typical Irish pub. Restrooms were clean and modern - that is not like a real Irish pub, but it is nice.

I need a Cure after dining here. I dont see how this place has a 4.3 star rating......unless you are rating the drinks or appetizers. We had a party of 10 people. 2 of the seafood dishes had issues. First they forgot the lobster tails for the Frutti De Mare (lobster, scallops, and shrimp with red sauce and pasta). Second, the shrimp and scallops were under cooked. Other meals (flatbread, chicken carbonara, steak tips) were cold. Second time around, half the shrimp and scallops were still under cooked. The wait staff was very sympathetic. Drinks were good. If you want seafood, I would keep looking. Overall flavor was bland. I wont be coming back. UPDATE - You must have us confused with another party. No one in my party complimented you. There were only 3 people who enjoyed their meal and 2 of them were excited because you offer the beer "Lunch". The others wished we had went elsewhere. 1 individual was afraid to eat her meal as she was afraid it was undercooked. 2nd UPDATE - the person who paid the bill was tbe most upset so i think you has us confused with a different party. Also you did try to make it right.. you tried cooking seafood twice and still couldnt get rhe food fullly cooked. To have a restaurant in Maine and not be able to cook seafood correctly TWICE is amazing. Also you comped 2 drinks. Most places would have comped the meals.

Love the open concept and the community seating; what a great way to make new friends!! Stopped by for a late lunch on St. Patrick's Day, and while it was packed, the food was stately and had exquisite flavors throughout. I quite enjoyed the nachos, my only suggestion would be to prepare them with a small layer of chips and toppings followed by another layer of the same. This would be with the same amount of ingredients as before, but wouldn't leave you eating yummy chips without toppings. My burger was cooked right where I said (medium) and oozed wonderful taste. I will certainly return for another meal and drink.

I've given this place a lot chances and will continue to do so. I believe the service will get better and the food be a little more consistent. The servers were a little slow and quite wearing. We must've been asked 20 times if everything was "allright." And it was every time but, jeesh. The food was okay and the middle of our Mac and cheese balls were cold but, the servers seemed overwhelmed and we weren't too worried about cold Mac and cheese. The servers kept apologizing about the coffee taking so long being out Bailey's. I like this place and have faith things will get better and I'll revise this review.

Our first and last visit.... Hostess walked off on us after we said we would like the bar... Bartender was inattentive and looked like she hated the world and we were an inconvenience. I got the wrong meal, and my girlfriend got a salad that was 99% spinach and looked dead. Nobody asked how our meals were until the end.. For us it was enough for a no return. We felt unimportant and uninvited... I wish we could of had the experience others did. We ended up paying for the wrong meal and the horrible untouched salad... Paying 40 dollars (albeit we got 20% off for the mistake) for a wrong meal and one that was gross, horrible service and attitudes, and feeling uninvited is enough for us to never return... I felt O'Reilly's wasted a date night for me and mine.... Sad

We are Scarborough residence and are very happy to have a new restaurant in town. That being said, the quality of the food needs to get better. I think locals would rather pay a little more and get a little more. It is only 12 minutes to Portland with many excellent bars/restaurants. Everything seems frozen. Service is fine, everyone is very nice (waitress named Amanda has waited on this many times). The beer selection is fantastic!

I haven't been this wowed by a restaurant in a while. We had Rachel B. as a server and she sat down next to us and helped explain the menu/drinks. Per her recommendation I ordered the "Hurricane." It went above and beyond what I would consider to be a good drink. It was like a real fruit purée rather than a mixed drink full of sugary syrups. We had nachos as an appetizer and I ordered blackened salmon. Everything was perfect. The live music was good too. 10/10 would recommend. Rachel couldn't have done a better job.

Doug did a great job making sure I was well taken care of. Very attentive, engaging, entertaining, and enthusiastic waiter! The poutine was delicious! Great menu choices, with both meat and meatless options. They had a multigenerational crowd seated in the dining hall, and a respectfully lively gathering of patrons at the bar (which is partially partitioned off from the low tables). The outdoor seating is adjacent to the busy Route 1 .. hmmm ... I wonder what it's like to dine out there? Maybe I'll check it out next time.

I loved the ambiance. Very kid friendly and the staff was very exemplary and helpful. We didn't have to wait long for our meal and it was perfection on a plate. We had a party of eight people, 4 adults and 4 kids. Everybody loved their meals and had a good time. We also got 2 desserts. They were good. The rum cake is scrumptious. I would definitely recommend this amazing, comfortable, and fun restaurant.

I visited O'Reilly Cure Restaurant & bar on Monday night when live music is on. We wanted to talk pros and cons about home that my boyfriend's son and his wife want to buy during our dinner, so it was a bit noisy (can't help because of live music). Nonetheless, the dish i ordered in the picture was great. i ate all. Scallops and risotto were good. the butternuts squash below risotto was so-so. i will definitely go back there!

I liked it a lot here. The food was pretty good, and they have a great selection of local beers. I really enjoyed the aesthetic of the space, with huge windows and a cozy large bar. I'll definitely be coming back here

My husband and I stopped by here for lunch and were not impressed. We waited for almost 1 hour to get food. My husband ordered a fish sandwich with onion rings and I ordered a burger. I was ok with my burger until the big giant slob of cheese fallout that totally resemble of throw up. While my husband was squeezing out a spoonful of oil from his onion ring. Seriously most oily food we had ever tried to eat. I used to be a waitress and I understand how difficult the food industry can be especially at busy lunch. I usually don’t leave comments either. But we want to warn you before you wait for 1 hour for the grossest food.

Bland bland bland. 3 whole red potatoes sitting in a pool of water with no seasoning on anything. Steak tips so devoid of flavor that even adding salt and pepper from the table didn't improve them much - which is what the manager told me to do...

The food is standard Irish fare, generally unremarkable. Bonus point for an excellent draft beer selection, demerits for committing one of my top restaurant pet peeves: asking how you want a burger done and then serving it well done regardless.

The atmosphere and service were very good. I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The layout is nicely done. Whether you have a small or large group you'll be comfortable. Nice amount of TV's and a pretty solid beer selection and of course whiskey, scotch, and bourbon. I found the food to be pricey which i don't mind when the quality is there. I had the crab cakes and the Guinness beef stew, both were average. There was a generous amount of crab in the cakes and they were cooked just right but they lacked depth of flavor, they needed some seasoning. The stew had great potential as the beef was tender and tasty bit again there was a lack of flavor throughout. The chef needs a salt and pepper shaker at the very least. I'm sure I'll go back and give this place another shot in a couple months because I really want to love it. It is a great space with plenty of parking and is convenient to where I live. This area was in desperate need of this kind of bar/restaurant, I'm hoping it will be up to par next time. You can't charge Portland prices if your not going to give the quality. This place has great potential!

Lots of interesting menu choices. Prices are fair but a bit on the pricey side. Wonderful desserts! Live music some nights but can be hard to hear it with all the folks talking. Get there by 6:30 for a decent table...
