Tikka Masala is amazing!!!!
Fantastic food wonderful service, vegan and gf options. The buffet is a great value.
The channa masala was delightful and my request for extra spicy was honored
Always friendly and the food is AMAZING!
Very good food. pleasant people
Food is very good.
Buffett this morning was great. Not much vegan fare, so they cooked a plate of Saag for our table for Buffett price. Always great, these guys.
Great Thai food but also great American and Italian food plus breakfasts. The choice of omelet combinations are incredible. Thai comes to rural Maine!
Very unassuming architecture and decor. Snappy signage and fun, colorful paint job (inside and out) would go a long way. Food was pretty good. Poori was perfectly puffy and flaky! Pappadum and standard condiments are complimentary, which is not necessarily standard practice, I've learned to my shock. We both had lamb dishes, "medium," and both of us could have stood a touch more heat. I'd stop again, but not sure I'd drive to Chelsea special.
Immersive dining atmosphere with authentic Indian cuisine and welcoming service. Large portion sizes alongside the vast menu options. Highly reccomend the butter chicken and peshwari naan!
This is not just another Indian place . This is authentic food with fresh meat . I would say this is the almost same food I get beach in India . Mutton tikka masala is Cooked near perfection . Butter naan were fresh . I would recommend you try this place if you are looking for some Indian cuisine with local produce .
Tried Taj Biriyani which could serve for 3 ppl and it tastes really well. Masala chai is there for tea fans.
This place is fantastic. Food so good and you don't have to fight over whether to get burgers or Thai, just go to June's. Prices are good, full bar, great deserts. We have tried so many things on the menu over the past couple years and everything has been top notch, from clams and liver to thai dishes. BUT...I wish there was a main website and/or hours posted somewhere on the web. I have a very poor short term memory and while I know that June's is closed on Mondays (which is a big bummer on Mondays)...some Sundays I've had difficulty getting through to order to go.
the server was very friendly probably the only reason it gets stars. not the biggest fan of Indian food but the restuarant is all dark and gloomy the area my date and I sat was super dark near a bar that looks like a scene from Scooby doo.
There are not many options for good Indian food in central Maine. When this place opened close to my wife's office, we jumped to try. not disappointed! The exterior is not very inviting. Go inside anyway! Great care was taken to decorate in a warm Indian style. The food was top notch and the heat adjusted to order. The menu was HUGE and well developed among all the major Indian cooking traditions. Try it, you won't regret!
Food is great! Ambiance is average but its very neat and clean.
What's not to like?
I get takeout from here literally once a week. The best restaurant in greater Augusta. Plus $5 tall cans of local brews - thanks for moving from Portland to my neck of the woods
Their food is so tasty! I love their buffet, and I love that I can eat here without feeling like I had too much sodium/salt!
Great non-greasy Indian. Better than Brunswick and Portland Indian restaurants. Equal with Waterville Indian restaurant.
Mughal Palace is always excellent. Every time.
Great foods
June's is For Sale/Closed
Wicked good!!!
Finally! An authentic Indian restaurant close to home. Delicious food, generous portions, and great prices. Not sure why they opened in such an unappealing location, as they would get way more business at an in town location like Hallowell, but that won't stop me coming back again and again, love it! Not much to complain about, as the service and atmosphere were perfect the first 2 times I've dined in, but the third time the server was less attentive, and there was no music playing, which made the atmosphere less appealing.
Wonderful place for Indian food.
Great authentic Indian food :)
Love the menu & the staff, not crazy about the buffet
My friend I tried it ounce, nice atmosphere clean. Help is great. Some food we liked, we don't care for India food .If u do it's good choice. Price ok.
This place should be packed full of people every night the food is that good. The food, service and variety is fantastic. They also are not afraid of spicing up your food so if you ask for it hot it will make your forehead sweat but if you have a milder palette they will make it as mild as you need. They can accommodate large groups so get some friends together order a bunch of appetizers, breads, and entrees and try them out. They also have a decent selection of beers and a few wines.
Excellent Indian food
Food is great experience I go. Warm atmosphere and friendly people
Great food and great service. Very happy with the evening. The flat bread was amazing!
If i could choose where I could go for dinner for all my life, I would definitely choose this. Service is awesome, and the food is amazing.
Stopped here two times and really enjoyed it people were very friendly! My friend and I only got a little bit of a meal, appetizers, because we were not familiar with Indian food. We wound up getting the coconut soup and coconut bread, which unfortunately I do not recall the proper name. We really enjoyed it and we definitely will be back when we are in the area. Our only issue, and this is our issue at all places that have televisions, is that we prefer not to have a television nearby. We do not like the distraction and find that it takes away from conversation. Part of enjoying a good meal and sharing the company of the person or persons that you were with. To have a TV on in the background is distracting. Other than that I will highly recommend Mughal Palace.
Great Indian food, wish they spoke English a little better so they could explain the details, but they do awesome other wise.
Excellent Indian food. Not buffet except Friday Saturday and Sundays but good anyway. Would go again.
Two years in the capital area and finally we made it to the only local Indian restaurant. We waited too long. Excellent onion kulcha and papadam. Fish currie fair but the chicken tikka masala was great. Decent selection of beers, too. Friendly service. Authentic place; chef is from Bangladesh. We won't wait so long to go back.
Very pleasently surprised. A group from work saying temporary good bye while a coworker returns to India. He helped make choices that many of us will gladly return for. Nice buffet with many options. I had Keema Mutter a lamb based meal on rice. Medium spicy was perfect for me, however some might prefer mild to start. Seemed a little pricey, however seemed like everything was fresh and well prepared. Bread was freshly made and delicious. Had to take a menu home...
Great food, great service.
Awesome food! I used to go to Hi Bombay in Portland all the time. If I had known the previous owner of Hi Bombay had started this place, I would have gone there much earlier! Palak Aloo was delicious and piping hot! Cannot recommend this place enough!
Lighting issues. Food was mediocre. The paapad felt like it was left out in the air for a while before being served. The Naan basket was great and they accommodated a change for us in it but, the paneer and chickpeas dishes left something to be desired. Rice was cooked really well. We got Raita but the yogurt in it was on the sour side for most in our party. Overall it was an okay experience.
Great food and service
Pleasantly surprised to find such delicious Indian food in the area. Authentic, always good, fast.
WE HAD A WONDERFUL DATE NIGHT AT MUGHAL PALACE! The food was flavorful. The lamb was tender. The service was prompt and welcoming. The table was set beautifully. The prices were perfect.
Some of the best food in the Augusta area. There's a wide variety of choices on the menu, and they'll work with your dietary needs. I asked for my food to be made vegan, and they went above and beyond what is normally done around here to make sure I enjoyed it. Decent portions too. Please, eat here. You'll love it.
Yuck
Excellent food
Excellent Indian cuisine ... Very friendly service. Try the lamb curry.
Very tender delicious flavorful buffet. Although it is their custom NOT to eat beef, they have added it to the menu for us. I thank you for that and the beef dish was AMAZING. All the different flavors went together VERY well. Definitely worth a return visit.
Love the food! Don't let the appearance of the building on the outside fool you. The food is wonderful, the staff is friendly & the interior looks much better than the outside.
Good vegan options. Great selection of appetizer.
My first Indian food experience as it blew my mind! So amazing!!!!
After tasting excellent Indian food in the Indian neighborhoods of Washington, DC, and disappointed with the two Indian restaurants in Brunswick, I was happily surprised to find Mughal Palace. I am a functional health coach and real food is a BIG deal for us. MP is excellent - freshly made sambals that blew away the restaurants in No VA. I had saag paneer and plain naan with Sula red wine which tasted as though free of chemicals, unlike so many American brands that make me sick. .. I will be going back often!!!
I love Mughal Palace! Finally a local venue with great Indian food! Please, please support this extraordinary restaurant!
The food is amazing, love the atmosphere as well! Deff get the curry.
One thing that i have missed from moving from the west coast is GREAT cuisine. Mughal Palace ranks amongst the best Indian i have eaten in the world. We have been there twice and it has been outstanding both times. Looking forward to the next visit
Very authentic. Staff was wonderful and the food was really, really good.
Tried buffet and had worst experiences. There was no non-veg dishes(except one beef gravy) even very few options for vegetarians. Taste was also not good. Please avoid buffet on this place.
Buffett was delicious, can't wait to go back!
The food is excellent, and the staff is very pleasant.
They do not have a big menu at this restaurant so what day do they do very well. We feel welcomed every time we come into this place
Great indian food, not only for central Maine but period. Tikka Masala very good Vindaloo also worth it
Their curry is absolutely fantastic. It's an experience for your mouth to enjoy. I love it.
the waitress was really nice, I even learned some of the food that I was eating. the food was fantastic and I would like to try the buffet.
Delicious gem!
The best Indian restaurant I have been too. There hospitality was wonderful. I would 100% suggest this restaurant for anyone.
A well maintained indian restaurant in such a remote location. We were a bit confused on the way since the area didnt quite look a place where u will find an indian restaurant. We had buffet there the number of items in the menu was less but food was good. Though gulab jamun was a little hard. Main thing i liked about this place the cleanliness which is a huge concern for me when i go to any indian restaurant.
Nice place for some Indian sea food.
Amazing vegan options!
I gave 4 stars, we stood at the counter for 5 minutes waiting for someone to come out, but when we got seated they are very friendly and the food was really good never ate Indian food prices not to bad, I would suggest anyone to eat there at least try it. Thank you for our first taste of Indian food
Delicious authentic food
I haven’t had good Indian food in a while. This place is great! The flavors & spices are on point and for a vegetarian/vegan they have some nice selections.
Best Indian food!
First time having Indian food and I was so happy I tried it. Had the buffet and it was good to try the different styles of food. Highly recommend and will be back for more.
I eat here at least twice a month!
Great authentic food, fully enjoyed it.
*Update: Unfortunately this place has changed management, and the food and ambiance is nothing like it was. (This is the type of place you will become a regular at once you have tried the Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, the cozy ambience with booths and tables, slightly overlooking the water. There is a changing menu for brunch every Saturday and Sunday for around $12 a person until 3 pm. It includes delicious endless Chai Tea, fresh fruit, rice, soup, Naan, 3 main dishes and a tasty fried veggie in chick pea flour and spices. The main dishes could be beef, lamb, chicken or fish (also Very good). There is also riata for those who may need a cool down on any spicy recipe. For dessert they have fried cheese balls in a sweet syrup and and a traditional milky Indian rice "pudding" with raisins. If you haven't visited yet get on over and if you'd like to know what the brunch mains consist of for the afternoon give them a call.)*
Wonderful food and wonderful service
Great
