There's indoor seating and outdoor seating. We sat on the outside and it was wonderful. Staff is great atmosphere was wonderful and the food was good. It was a nice surprise
Lemon Ricotta pancakes were delicious and my husband said the corned beef hash was the best he ever had. Our waitress judy was friendly snd on spot! Definitely recommend stopping by.
Always had a great meal, not so good last visit, cold eggs, not good.
Plain on the outside, nicely decorated inside. Flowers, real ones on the tables. Food was good, tasty. Prices reasonable.
Great breakfast place friendly staff good food
from PA RWB all the way yes n the food n service is Grrrreat
Went there for breakfast. Staff seemed overwhelmed but the place was not busy. Eggs were overdone. Asked for over easy. Toast was cold. Hash claimed to be homemade. Tasted tinny. Staff never came to check on us. Never asked how things were even when our plates were left half full.
Great food and friendly service.
Wonderful service and great food
Had a lovely dinner with the ladies from Keywood!! As usual the service was great and Sandy our waitress was very friendly and was very busy with other customers as well! I like Sandy very much and in my opinion she's one of the best there!! Thanks so much for the excellent service Sandy! ❤️❤️
Great food. Good service
Great food quick service
Great food and you can bring your own wine or beer!
Portions are huge.
Incredible food, best and most original eggs Benedict I've ever had.
The Fried Chicken Biscuit with Gravy...is AMAZING!!! And so is the staff
Very good food and excellent staff
Staff was friendly ....seated quickly VIP treatment....meal was excellent ....will eat here again kiddo to mike and his staff...
Excellent little diner. Loved the haddock chowder.
Good food! Found service a little slow. Uncomfortably cool in the dining room!
Real good food, great prices, clean establishment, great customer service
Great eats for cheap price great food

Bistro-styled creative recipes meet American diner menu items at Mike's.
Lobster omelette was truly delicious
I want to say the food was great, but what we didn’t appreciate is our server’s(Deb) attitude and lack of attention. Deb was walking around on the phone and ignoring most of her tables which we found very rude. By the time we were sat on a busy Sunday morning we had 10 minutes to look over the menu before we were asked what we wanted to drink we were told by our waitress she had to wait for another table to order before we could which was the table who sat down a few minutes after us. We at one point had to ask another waitress (Marina) who was helping multiple tables but doing a great job to see if someone could get us some water. We will go back one more time and only sit with Marina and see if we change our mind about this establishment.
The food and service is excellent they never disappoint. The portions are large, so be prepared to take some home. The chicken parmesan is very good. All in all Mike's is a good restaurant and very reasonably priced.
Found it by accident. Food is affordable. There is plenty of seating. Had the Pot Roast and the Fish and Chips in our group. The pot roast was great with mashed potatoes and the vegetable was carrots. It was a good basic meal for about $12. The Fish was not greasy. It was breaded and fried, and the portion was a good size. The fries were very good. I give it 5 stars, because of value for money. Compared to the more trendy, touristy places, this was a solid diner with good food and good service. It is a bit old school, which feels new compared to the rest of what we saw in the tourist parts. Also, the bathroom was very clean. You can judge a place by the bathrooms.
Great food and prices
we have visited ' mike's american diner' in arundel, me. many times. if we are there for lunch or dinner the food is consistently wonderful. especially, the seafood or fish chowder is unbelievably good. our servers are always working hard to make the experience enjoyable. special kudos to marina & sue, although we're sure that everyone on their team is just as attentive. thank you to the owner for providing people with a comfortable setting & great food.
Stopped here after going through Kennebunkport. We were planning on eating in Kennebunkport but couldn't find any parking. That place looked like a tourist trap! So glad we kept driving and found Mike's. This was a cozy little diner. My husband has eggs Benedict and hash. I had the BLT and fries. Our food was delicious! If you are in the area stop by!
Corn beef hash yummy
Great haddock soup,a little pricey
Food was good
verry nice food is awsome there
Great place to eat, Deb our waiteres was fantastic, friendly outgoing.
Had the chicken fingers and Cajun fries which where good. About what you expect at a diner. Pricey though. The husband had liver and onions with just one piece of liver and it was $16... Haven't tried breakfast yet, but looks alright
A sweet local place, where everyone knows your name. Great food, good service.
Super quick service, friendly staff, great diner food. Not a great view or anything but a comfortable place to get guality food at a decent price (omelette plate was $9)
Very good breakfast. Nice atmosphere.
Good food, good service, convenient location, fair prices and clean.
We are so happy to have Michael and his Mike's American Diner near us. Great food, great prices, and a person who is genuinely concerned about his customers and very proud of his food. We have known Michael for a long time and his food never dissappoints. Thanks Michael
Excellent!
Great food, good service, very clean, and reasonable prices will recommend to my friends.
Nice menu, good food and service and fair prices
Always great food
Pancakes were a little tough. Home fries should have been grilled more - they were almost completely white. We were starving when we got there, so we tried to buy a muffin while we were waiting. The hostess literally refused to sell us one. It was already noon and she said there were only 5 left, so she couldn't possibly sell one to us. Why does she care who eats it? They probably aren't even going to sell them all, since the people who came after us were getting lunch. She was pretty rude. I doubt I'll go back there because of it. Update: the owner saw my boyfriend's Yelp review and apologized and left a gift certificate for us to come in again, so I guess we will be giving it another try.
Great food, service, clean, &everyone is very pleasant. You never feel rushed. You get a bountiful serving & I take some home. Highly recommended!
Great food for a descent price! Gluten free bread was very good!
Ok breakfast. Home fries were very bland .
Very good and food is delish!
Have had both breakfast and dinner and been very happy with both. They have a great old time Yankee Pot Roast. Best I have had in years. My wife raved about the Turkey.
Really nice and clean inside, and food was yummy and service was great.
Wait time to get seated was quick. It's a cozy place. Apps were good but didn't like that they came one one by one instead of altogether. Waited a bit to get refills on our drinks. Food was ok. But we waited quite a while for our good. Mac and cheese pasta was a bit over cooked but ended up switching with my husband and ate his pot roast. Which was good. Would I recommend this place to other probably not.
I really wanted to like this place! Serving sliced roast beef as pot roast is so very annoying. The chef used to run a wonderful little restaurant that served a wonderful pot roast what happened?
Staff very sweet, trying their best with the big crowd you get there
Sorry the name of the place is the ocean roll serving hot food since 1961 great Seafood sorry about that
We went for lunch mid week and there was no wait. Food was served hot and quickly. I loved the garden sandwich with egg, veg, bacon and pesto on focaccia. My husband loved his meatloaf. Generous portions.
Lobster omlet was the most amazing breakfast food I've ever eaten it was so good and the home fries were perfect service was great even the rye toast was above par. Great place to get breakfast
There was something very weird about our server. She was totally confused & kept making the excuse "I never work lunches." , but she couldn't even handle bringing drinks. I ordered coffee, another employee told her where the freshest coffee was. She went in the opposite direction & brought me a cup of brewed tea. Sent it back, got coffee. Finally got water after asking 3 times. My chicken salad club arrived, and it turned out to have frozen cranberries in it. The menu in no way specified this. I attempted to send it back (untouched) telling our server that I preferred not to order anything else. She told me to 'eat what I could' & left the plate. Then a manager came out & told me that he wasn't going to let me leave unhappy. He shrugged off my complaint about the cranberries with "Sometimes we make it that way." He stared at me like a slack-jawed yokel when I said they might want to let customers know this. He was pushy and kept insisting that I order something else. I told him that what would make me happiest was NOT ordering anything else. I actually had to say "NO. I need you to stop asking." in a loud voice. He STILL persisted until I told my companion that I was stepping outside. Then he told me to 'eat what I could' and left the plate. I think they figured they wouldn't have to comp the meal if they got me to eat some of it. Guys, when someone has asked to send something back twice, take it back! Do not tell me to "eat what I can". Do not hover over me demanding that I order something different when I've said 'no' six times. I did not come to your restaurant to be nagged into eating something I never would've ordered if it'd been described correctly. HEADS UP TO ALLERGY SUFFERERS- I ordered chicken salad, got chicken salad with frozen cranberries. I wonder if it might've had nuts, as cran/walnut is a common combo. (But I'm gonna guess that they just ran out of celery). Considering that their menu didn't accurately describe my food & our waitress was apparently tripping, I wouldn't trust them with allergies.
We live locally and love this little diner. You bring your own beer and wine, which adds to the already great atmosphere. You watch as people enjoy their beverage of choice or they make it an adventure by walking to the corner store to grab beer or wine. During one of my visits, my wife and I were there for dinner. I ordered the seafood medley (baked haddock, shrimp and scallops). After digging into my meal I realized it was all scallops. I mentioned this to the waitress who was extremely apologetic and was going to make a new order. I told her I didn't mind all scallops and continued my meal. As we were leaving the owner came out and asked if I was the one who didn't receive his seafood medley. I laughed it off with a joke and explained the scallops were great. He then handed me a to go meal and said he wanted to make sure I had a chance to try the medley. That was completely unexpected! Great customer service and a comfortable experience.
Thanks Very tasty pot roast
Very good food and great timely service. Would definitely come back again and again.
Never had a bad meal there. Go at least once a month.
Food was great service was wonderful!! Nice Place
Great meals and excellent service based on perhaps ten or so dining experiences at Mike’s. Avoid going during regular meal rush times otherwise you may have to wait a bit for a table.
Just okay food hard seating just an okay place pricey not sure I go there very often
Not bad, food awesome and plenty of it
Great homemade hash, reasonable prices, good service.
I stopped in for lunch yesterday and tried the chicken parm dinner. It was... AMAZING!! They have a chef on staff, and it's obvious. Fresh, delicious and great flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive. Massive thumbs up for this little diner with high end restaurant quality food.
Excellent food!!!
Even though it was busy we got right in and served in a reasonable time. They had the perfect size menu with something for everyone. The service was good and the host couldn't be nicer. We sat at the counter and was served coffee right away. The meat omelet was very filling. It was nice that they had homemade corned beef hash. Next time I'm going for the lemon ricotta pancakes they looked delicious.
Our food and the service have always been excellent. They have wonderful breakfasts. I love the liver and onions dinner; it is well made and covered in bacon! The fish chowder is excellent. We are local and highly recommend eating here!
Great place, excellent food
Take the kids here every few weeks for breakfast. Great food, friendly staff, comfortable setting.
The food was delicious especially the homemade hash , blueberry pancakes and French toast. Great friendly service willing to greet you and share simular experiences as your transitional barber would. Very warm and welcoming and will add it to our traditional TRIP to Wells Beach as a must visit location.
Solid breakfast in a timely manner, and was appreciative of some healthier and more imaginative options than some diners we've visited. Staff could be friendlier/warmer and more attentive.
A jewel in an sight. Quality food and friendly service. No wonder the parking lot was full!
We enjoy breakfast at Mike's. Friendly, prompt service and very good food. Reasonable prices too. I think anyone would have a great breakfast there
First time visiting today and it was fantastic definitely one of the best meals I’ve had
Rude waitress
Great American food. Appropriately decorated. Extensive menu.
Awesome food everyone was very nice
Great place to have lunch. Turkey dinner great
The food is always great. They might need a few more servers and people busing tables though. Service was slow and disjointed. Went back a 2nd time to see if it was a 1 off thing, nope. Food is 4 star the service is 2 star.
Love t by e chicken and biscuits
Excellent baked shrimp and haddock! Even the coffee was delicious!
I just called to ask a simple question about purchasing an ad in their dinner and I got a rude no & hung up on! Not the customer service I would like to give my business to anyway. Hope she has a better day!
Homestyle country cooking. Ruben and chicken Alfredo
Stopped for breakfast New Year's Day. Friendly staff, great coffee, fresh from the oven muffins, and specials that included chicken cranberry sausage. The home fries were excellent. Will add this to my list of favorite breakfast places. Next visit to Maine, I'll stop for dinner. It is BYOB for those interested.
Good fries, nice haddock
BISCUITS N GRAVY W THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN!!!
Excellent food, great prices
Great food, but the staff was a bit slow.
This was my first time at Mike's and I will be back. We were greeted at the door by Dave whose welcoming attitude set the tone for our evening. I have long ties with the Kennebunk area and over the years have eaten at many local restaurants. Mike's was such a pleasant surprise. I wanted comfort food and Mike's menu fit the bill exactly! Debbie, our waitress, was an attentive and excellent server and continued Dave's Down-East welcome. I started with the haddock chowder which was chocked-full of fish and potatoes and had the perfect soup base - not too thick! My mother and I both had the baked haddock with a salad and extra broccoli rather than a potato choice of mashers, fries or baked. The haddock was perfect and the broccoli was firm and not over-cooked. We shared an apple crisp for dessert which was the best crisp I have eaten and I'm very picky about crisps. It was made with fresh apples and tasted even better than my homemade crisp. The menu has something for everyone from yankee pot roast, sea food, salads, to hamburgers. Mikes's does not serve alcohol but you can BYOB - unopened beer, wine, or alcohol. This is a great place to bring the family or a group with many different eating needs - vegetarians have many choices. The local couple sitting next to us said that Mike's was their favorite place to go for the excellent food and the great value. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and hearty portion sizes. Mike's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and I look forward to returning for another great meal before I return to Texas. Thanks again to our server Debbie.
Surprised by it's reasonable prices and meals
Friendly staff and great french toast. I also very much so like that they have real working air conditioning. I hate it when I come into restaurants in Maine and there is no AC. Global warming ppl. It's getting hot up here in the summer and a business needs ac. Mike's gets it.
Good food a little pricey
I had the fish n' chips for lunch and it was delicious! Light batter, fresh haddock, VERY generous portions. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. Can't wait to go again!
Nice atmosphere prices are good. I had their french toast breakfast absolutely delicious. Customer service top noch..
Good diner food. Busy place.
Fantastic food and great staff. One of our favorite places to get a good meal. It really fills the shoes of the Blue Moon Diner which was here previously.
Great food and service...friendly staff
We were extremely disappointed today here. Our waitress was the most unprofessional and rude server I've come across in a long time and the breakfast, which took 45 minutes to get after ordering, was wildly overpriced. Highly recommend going else where!
It was very good
Good, carefully prepared American food. Portions are generous so bring your appetite.
Always crowded with a large selection of great food.
If you suffer with allergies and/or asthma these are the doctors you want treating you! The support staff is great, too.
Food is amazing and very reasonably priced! Space can get a little tight in there, but it is otherwise a pleasantly intimate setting.
Best corned beef hash I've had, but surprisingly unwelcoming for a Maine hole in the wall.
Very good food. Friendly people
Meals were excellent Would return again
This was a great restaurant for.my family and I! My sister and I both got chocolate milkshakes (same thing as a chocolate frappe) and they were fantastic! To eat I got the meatloaf dinner, and that was to die for. Super tasty homemade meatloaf.
Not fancy but decent food...
Had breakfast there this past Sunday. Place was busy. Had a couple of open tables but waited 15 minutes to be seated at one. Waitress seemed overwhelmed but did a good job. Food was tasty. Had to wait a while to get the check. Then we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get our change. Guy at the register seemed clueless Best time to go here is during the week. Avoid when busy.
Friendly staff quick service......im pretty sure the fish and chips came out if a Van decamps box.stay away from it!
Great food. Good prices.
A friend and I had breakfast at Mike's. The food was excellent, the service good and our food arrived fairly quickly. I enjoyed the decor of the diner but can't help but wonder if it might be noisy at peak dining times. I found it interesting to learn Mike's is a Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) diner. You bring the booze and buy needed mixers from them.
Great atmosphere, fun, comfortable and inviting. My food was perfectly delicious and served hot and timely. The staff I dealt with and observed was pleasant, friendly and gracious. I would definitely go again if in that area.
My first visit was nothing less than a hot mess. Marina was totally rude and unprofessional verbally to me and my family. The wait time was extremely long..and the thin waitress was rude and had a terrible attitude...food was good. Then the owner came in...Attitudes changed and service improved...we had Deb for our waitress...she was good...friendly and attentive...I asked Mike for a moment when he had a chance. In less than 5 minutes he sat down and listened to me and my family. Mike was amazing and really understood us. When we paid our bill, Mike invited us back and left us a gift certificate... The next day we did return. Mike arranged for us to be treated as VIP's. And it was amazing. We definitely recommend you visit his restaurant, the food is really good...but now that he has brought a few issues to his employees attention...I know you'll have an amazing dining experience ..so CK his place out
The staff completely ignored forgot and just left us to take care of ourselves! It's not like we were in a hidden corner. When we got there the table was only set up for two and there was there was three of us, they never did bring all of the place setting. We could not get refills. We saw our waitress when we ordered , brought the good out and when she brought the bill. She never bothered to check to see how everything was or anything. We will not go back and I'd suggest others skip this place as well
Very disappointed! We were told to expect a 10 minute wait, but after 45 minutes and several "locals" were seated as they walked in... we ended up finding fast food. Not the country friendly treatment I would give 3 senior citizens. And speaking of seniors... handicap access is very limited. We travel from Mass to Bangor often, but this is a place we will pass by.
Excellent quality at good prices. Wait staff are outstanding with great customer service! A+++
I gave this place three attempts and sadly, each time was disappointed. Slow service and mediocre food. Not horrible, but not great.
The best food and service ever
Looked like good dinner food. I had the haddock chowder which was excellent.
The food is amazing! The service perfect! I wish we would’ve went here on our first day, we would have gone everyday. Super clean and the staff care about the customers.
Consistently good food. Great place for locals to get away from all the tourists in the summertime. July 2018 edit: Food has really gone downhill. Every time I order the Eggs Benedict now the yolks are hard boiled. The french toast is now dry and tough. Waitstaff is excellent, especially the very friendly host. Time to get new kitchen help.
Very friendly and great food!
Great place to eat. Nice atmosphere and great food.
Had our 1st of what will be many visits to Mike's American Diner. If you are looking for a hidden treasure, this is the place!!! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. You can tell the Chef takes pride in what is being served. Our waitress was Deb. Great personality, and filled us in on the history of Mike's. Already looking forward to our next visit!!!
Great food reasonable price
My husband and I love Mike's. It's the closest restaurant to where we live, and they have good breakfasts and a friendly, accommodating staff. We go there often. Our only complaint is that their hostess is slow and inefficient. I would replace her if I could, with someone who knows what they're doing, or if she must work there, I'd make her job smaller.
Breakfast was great. The coffee is very good diner coffee, not bitter at all. Prices are reasonable and service was fast and friendly.
Best omelette ever! Friendly service, good coffee!
Great food reasonable prices
Fantastic little diner with top quality diner food. The staff is support sweet. If you're in town, stop by this place
Went for lunch. Ate outside. Food and services were terrific!
Great comfort food!
Very nice!
A surprisingly elegant atmosphere inside! I expected it to look like a diner but it was much nicer. The food and service are excellent! A gem of a local casual restaurant I will definitely return to. They should post the menu online though... Also include in your listing this is a BYOB restaurant (bring your own wine/beer).
Very cheap with the homesfrieds food was COLD
We went there today and Marina made us feel like we were family. Had excellent food for breakfast, lemon ricotta pancakes, corn beef hash and eggs, chicken with gravy and biscuits. Everyone was very pleased with the service and the meal. We will definitely return
Great food...
It's like sitting in my own dinning room very pleasant and loved the music and the food was awsome
We had Thanksgiving dinner there. It was prix fixe, but with a number of menu options. It was perfect. Most of us had turkey, but my brother had chicken parmesan. They also had haddock. Everything was well prepared, perfectly seasoned and well presented. For dessert, they had carrot cake, tapioca pudding, or brownie. The server was busy, but friendly and efficient. All in all, it was astonishingly good.
Good food and service. Very Reasonably priced.
You're not going to want to miss out on Mike's while in the area, we are here for breakfast, I had the Lobster Omelet, it was amazing.
Mike's American Diner, I haven't had the pleasure of stopping by or having a meal here yet. But I do have a couple of photos.
Had eggs and hash toast eggs were good I did not care for the hash but that was me somebody else might really like it. The hasbowns were great service friendly go there again
Friendly staff, clean establishment, best homemade corned beef hash on the planet, best home fries, and wonderful lemon ricotta pancakes. Thank you!
If I could rate this 100 stars, I would. Hands down THE BEST diner I have ever been to. The staff is very quick to get your order to you, and they are all so friendly and sweet. The portions are quite large, so it's worth every penny. The food was phenomenal. And the feel of the place js just great. Cute little diner tthat makes you feel at home and feeds you well!
