We ordered some appetizers while waiting for take out order. The Thai curry puff was very well executed. Just the right amount of spice with a nice pastry crust. Fresh vegetable spring rolls were crisp and fresh with just enough mint to be pleasant but not overwhelming. I would have liked a little more scallions in the scallion pancakes but it was nice that they were not greasy like a lot of other Thai restaurants. The Tom Yum seafood soup was very comforting on a cool rainy May evening. I liked that the seafood was not overcooked. I'm so glad we decided to give them a try. The taro custard was a nice finish afterwards. Just enough sweetness without over doing it.

We were in town tonight at a hotel (not much open around here in January!) and really just didn't want to get dressed so we decided to order Thai delivery. It arrived and they had forgotten our rice (we didn't realize until the driver left) shortly after...someone else showed up with the rice unprompted and with a smile. The service is great. The food is amazing! (Red curry, scallion pancakes, steamed dumplings). Easily fed the three of us with a little left over for snacks later.

I have eaten here once. I asked a couple in the outdoor area how their food was before we went in. The wife said, "out standing (with a lot of emotion), we come here once a week." We went in. The staff was kind a friendly. The tables have a table cloth with plexi or glass over it...The napkins are a higher end cloth paper napkin. The "doggy bag" was actually the kind of container you could use again. The food was excellent. For some reason, I like Thai better than Chinese now and we both felt it was because it has more flavor. I'm not sure if that is why, but it seems to go in and sit like it's supposed to be there. This is my experience and I will be going back again, plus I have told others how good it was. I hope you have a great experience too.

Went for a late lunch. Enjoyed the food. Had the pastry puff appetizer and Beef Pad Thai. My mother had the wonton soup and chicken pad Thai. It was tasty, portions were good and service was great.

I have been eating here for over 20 years...you will NEVER have a bad meal...ever. The staff is always excellent, the food is always perfect. If you are local you know this already...if you are here on vacation please just don't bother with Congdons After Dark, just come here and spend less money and enjoy some of the best food around. Amazing, fresh, homemade "House Pad Thai". We also had the crab rangoons and I'm certain that they were homemade as well! Service was fast and friendly. Nice atmosphere and great all around! We travel in our Motorhome full time and visit places all over the country and this is by far the BEST Pad Thai I've ever had! We would definitely come back if in the area again. Keep up the great work!

Got delivery from here tonight and had to cut the cups in our hotel to make silverware since they forgot to give us some. After crafting a spoon and struggling to get a wonton out of my soup I discovered it had an eyelash on it. None of what we ordered was worth the money.

Masssman curry, ginger sauce stir fry, orange chickenand sesame chicken all delicious. We ate in, family style so we could share our dishes. Very good and reasonably priced. They had a kid's menu and seasonal specialties.

My expectations were exceeded at this restaurant. My family and I had a wonderful experience. We went as a big group to celebrate my birthday as well as my brothers. I am vegan and we wanted to find a place that had options for myself. They were very accommodating. They have plenty of options that are vegan or that you can make vegan. They were also eager to make my tofu crispy even though it was supposed to come soft in my dish. They were very accepting when I asked for no straw in my drink (I ask for no straw at restaurants because I like to try to reduce my waste). The waitress was extremely friendly, and checked up on us many times throughout the visit. We all enjoyed our food and had a very good time. I would definitely recommend it and I will be back if I’m in the area again.

Went here recently on our vacation to Ogunquit. My husband does not eat seafood, so this was a good option. We both had curry dishes. The sauces were very tasty, especially the Panang curry. There could have been more meat in each dish or larger pieces, but overall good meals at reasonable prices.

Have eaten here many times over the years. A solid Thai restaurant and always exceptionally friendly! That said, they tend to under season rather than over season and I often am wanting a little more flavor or heat. About half the time I order fried spring rolls I get fresh rolls (I just tell myself they are looking out for my health!) on the dishes with peanuts or cashews, I find they tend to go lean on the nuts and I am left wanting many more. Again, all that said, I still really like this place as they are consistent, have good quality food and very friendly people.

Ordered chicken dumplings as an appetizer. Took 20 minutes, but tasted great. My waitress, Sandra, was nowhere to be seen after she left a pitcher of water on my table, presumably for me to refill my own glass. Another employee (owner?) apologized for the delay, but the soup I ordered didn’t come for another 40 minutes. The bill was on my table 10 minutes before my meal arrived. It was discounted 20%, but after the extremely long delay and complete lack of service, 100% would have seemed more appropriate. I asked to take my food to go. Sandra finally returned at the end of my visit to return my credit card - not a single word. Opened the bag of food when I returned to the hotel. Broth tasted delicious, but would have been a better experience at the restaurant on time.

We are the traveling Motor Coach Gourmets. We frequent restaurants in many different cities and review them. Our ratings are as fair as we can make them as our reviews and yours can also impact a business owner. If we can’t give a 4 or 5 star review, or we don’t care for the service or food, we hold our review and give the place in question a 2nd and 3rd try. If after that, still not to our liking, then we rate the establishment. We had a meal here and it was OK, that’s it. I ordered pork with a garlic sauce. The pork was low grade meat. It was all dark meat and very fatty. The rice and sauce were delicious. Tracy ordered their General Thai Chicken. It looked delicious and the sauce was pretty good. Overall, no frills in a bland setting. I would not return.

I have lived in the Wells area my whole life and in my opinion Mehkong Thai is one of the best places to eat in town. I get food from Mehkong Thai on average once a week. I always get the same thing (Chicken Thai Fried Rice, no pineapple, no tomato and crab rangoons) and its delicious every time. The portions are huge both in restaurant and take out. When me and girlfriend or friends are looking for a place to eat Mehkong Thai is always considered because its always so good. Everyone that works there is so friendly. They also have delivery service and are always prompt and the portions are still large. They do have a bar with seating and a tv where I often sit with friends. The restaurant has a very comfortable atmosphere and some outdoor seating in the summer. The prices are not bad at all especially considering how big the portions are, i believe that my usual dinner choice above costs $14.42. I would recommend this restaurant to any one looking a quick, delicious, satisfying meal in a friendly casual environment.

It's a quiet place. There were only 2 customers at the time I were there in the early afternoon on the 4th of July. Dishes I ordered were OK, not as good as I expected.

The food here is average at best. I have had tasted many Thai’s food. Food came out fast. Portion is small. Taste is suited for locals and reflected 4 star rating. We expected more. We had Thai’s fried rice, seafood salad and crispy duck with ginger. The fried was soggy with tiny portion. Seafood salad comprise of squid, shrimp, and scallops. Garnish with cucumber, lettuce , cold vermicelli noodle, etc. it tasted sour with a hint of fish sauce. The crispy duck was soggy. I didn’t taste any crisp in it. We also order seafood Tom yum soup and overwhelmed by the sourness.Thai’s food traditionally has very strong emphasis on spice, sweet and source. Which I did not tasted in any of the dishes. I would recommend Thai’s For You. This restaurant is very authentic Thai’s food and our favorite every time we visit Orgunquit. This is our fourth time visiting Maine.

No one starts with Thai dining when visiting Wells, but when you get around to it you won't be sorry. Because of their quality waitstaff, on-premises management, and excellent kitchen, I'd place Mekhong Thai in the top 10% of the 60 or so Thai restaurants I've been to in the US. They are not trying to simply copy what has made US Thai popular, so kudos for that as well.

Not worth 4+ stars!!! We tried drunken fried rice and crispy pad thai and they were borderline inedible. They are generally very safe choices in a Thai place...so really surprised they messed up these dishes. Will avoid this place in future.

One of my two favorite Thai Restaurants in Maine. Definitely the best in York County. Just don't confuse this one with the one in Kennebunkport. That one is not nearly as good as Wells.

The food is served hot & it is very tasty. Food is Excellent !! We've been going here for years. I highly reccomend coming to Mekong Thai. Take-out is also just as good, served very hot & still hot when you get back home or to hotel. They have spicy rating from 1-5. 1 being least hot, 5 is spiciest. I reccomend anything on menu, we always order Drunken noodle with beef, level 3 on spicy. It comes level 2 if you don't mention a #. I also reccomend Masamam Curry served over jasmice (white) rice. Coconut milk is the base, although it doesn't taste alot like coconut. Its excellent, has a nice white sauce. Tom Yum soup I highly reccomend w Shrimp or your choice of meat or tofu. Any fried rice dish or noodle is tasty !!! 5 *****'s !!!

This is the best restaurant I have found since moving to New England. I live over 70 miles from this place, but still manage to go about once a week. The food is the best food I've found, but when I think about it, everything else about this place is of the same caliber. Last time I was there, I asked for a to-go box, and they asked if I would like more rice with it. The atmosphere is nice at both locations, and the value is incredible.
