It was an anniversary dinner for us so we splurged. The veal was tender and delish. He said his duck was amazing. Crispy outside and juicy inside. The escargot was served in a manner that was so easy to eat and it was perfect. Our soup choices potato-leek & creamed mushroom - Outstanding! Then to top it off dessert chocolate mousse & creme brulee. Perfect portion for the end of a meal and decedent. The service was by far fantastic and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this restaurant if you was a splurge meal with high quality. Loved it so much we will be back!!!!

The mushroom quiche is probably the best quiche I have ever had! The salad was crisp and the chowder was tasty..... And this is coming from an excellent cook!! Stopped in while out riding our bikes. Nice atmosphere and clean.

Food was very good, but the service was poor. Ordered drinks, dinner, appetizer shortly after arriving and it took almost 30 minutes before receiving any of these items. ( we were a party of 4 ). A party of two came in after us by maybe 10 minutes they we served immediately and done their dinner before we were served our meal.. AC was blowing directly on our table and the waitress told us it could not be lowered, there were other people in the restaurant that need the AC. Poor attitude. I believe the waitress name was Lena. But the food was god.

I have eaten here many times. Tonight I came with new friends to celebrate birthdays. We waited over an hour for meals that didn't appear. Place was half full no idea what it would be like if it was full.

Third anniversary dinner. Reservation at 7:00. Seated promptly. Bread and drinks on the table and orders placed by 7:10. First course ordered was a cup of soup and a small salad. 7:40, no food and looked for server. No where to be found. 7:50, gave up just as server was arriving with soup and salad. Left anyway. Can't speak to the food since we didn't eat, but service was horrible.

4-2-2016-Excellent- We were getting married in Norway an needed a place for a small wedding party (6people). I didn't think it would be such a problem until I realized most of the nice restaurants are only open for dinner. But Cory the owner of Maurice's Restaurant was very accommodating when he opened a few hours earlier for us. And I couldn't have asked for a better reception. The food was excellent everyone enjoyed what they ordered and we all said we would defiantly be back. He also made a carrot cake that I had asked for as a wedding cake and it was out of this world the best we had every had. Cory thank you so much for making our day special. We will be back soon... A most dignified small town fine dining spot. The ambience resembles a mid 20th century New England home; somewhat stale actually but familiar. Sort of like walking into the dining room of your favorite auntie who never had her own kids nor got married. The food I had was expertely prepared and fresh, attention to detail was evident. The waitress tried hard to be proper and helpful but lacked genuine rapport as her words and body language were rarely in sync. Would probably come back in case I wish to celebrate a special date, nothing too fancy though. Google advertises the spot as "French" cuisine. This might be an ambiguous label due the obvious unoriginality of the food which seems mostly like American fair albeit prepared with, again, above average attention to detail.

Pricey. Foods decent, with some more "delicacy" items such as duck, escargot, etc... Staff is usually very friendly. At our last visit however our waitress was very forgetful of our table. Forgetting to bring drink refills for over 25mins, and then getting snippy when we reminded we still needed them, and also for got one of ours meals and it took 5mins to flag her down.

I go to Maurice's frequently for lunch - soup and salad, sometimes a quiche. Costs as little as the typical junk fast food lunch, and is sooo much better. Dinner is more a splurge - great steak, yummy seafood dishes. French flavored but not stuffy. This place is not in Boston or Portland. It ain't stuffy or proud, but they do a good job, and we've made friends with the wait staff over the years. We always look forward to an evening out there.
