Disappointed with what little choices there was on the menu. And disappointed with the flavor of the steak we ordered that had no flavor. This is the second time we have been there and the last time. The time before I ordered a brisket that was so dry and over cooked.

A true Maine experience. A great, down to earth place to go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Good service and sitting outside is great as long as the weather is good. The pulled port is great, as well as the potato salad but breakfast is yummy also. The portions are always excellent for the price.

Absolutely amazing food, and I've eaten at a LOT of BBQ places, in Memphis, Kansas City, Austin, North Carolina, etc. Had the pulled pork dinner with baked beans, potato salad, and cole slaw. Would like to see what they could do with brisket since that's my favorite BBQd meat. Also would have been nice if they'd had Atlantic Brewing's Coal Porter on tap since that's the reason I came here and I've ridden a motorcycle 1000+ miles in the last two and a half days thinking about how good it was going to be, but luckily the food made up for it.

This is some great Maine BBQ. But doesn't rank with other BBQ around the US. Prices and service was great. Highly recommend it if you don't want Lobster. Although they do have great Lobster as well.

We're breakfast people, and the one we just had was definitely one for the books. Perfect eggs, pulled pork side that fully honors the pig's sacrifice, and homemade baked beans that are the first, ever, to beat my mom's -- and hers were (until today) unbeatable. And the smell, on the lovely patio where we dined, of the smoker revving up for the lunch & dinner crowd to follow, made the whole experience perfect. I hope to be back some day... soon!

Dubious place at best. Pretty sure kitchen staff is not following food safety guidelines of any kind. Accompanied by a stifling religion themed ice cream place where everything is freezerburnt and they pretend not to understand things unless you use the fanatic lingo. Downgraded to one star because owner confirmed my suspicions. "The only reason I could say those things is if I used to work for them", hah. I felt insulted by this restaurant up front, and they doubled down on it by implying this was a revenge-review.

Good prices and great variety on the menu - more items available than the Atlantic Brewing location (though I found the food there slightly better.) The wings here were AMAZING! The sampler platter is a great way to try a lot of what they offer. That said, my sausage and ribs were both a bit on the over-browned side, though not quite burnt. I'm sure they would have swapped them out if I'd asked, but they weren't that bad. Pulled pork and burger were great. Don't forget to save room for ice cream from the shop next door.

The lobstah omelette here is unreal. Every bite tasted like lobster. The blueberry muffin was like a little pillow of heaven. Wife got the sausage and feta omelette with spinach and tomato, said it was awesome, as was the homemade biscuit. Highly recommend this place

I had the lobster roll,coleslaw, and fries. My sense of smell and taste have deteriorated over some time because of my response to the 9/11 attacks but I swear the lobster roll couldn’t of tasted any fresher. Everything was delicious.

Absolutely great. Had their Bar Harbor Real Ale Adams it had a pleasantly dark color and smooth taste. Tried The Sampler for the meal, with Italian sausage, ribs, pulled pork and chicken and it was outstanding. The ribs are to die for, the sausage a tiny bit of spice and great flavor. The pulled pork delightful. Wonderful atmosphere.

Tried the dinner sampler with ribs, hot sausage, pulled pork, and chicken. I had the mac and cheese for a side. My husband had the sampler as well with box 1 for sides. Kids had grilled cheese and mac and cheese. Everything was great. Enjoyed the suggestion to mix the two sauces on the meat, yummy. Left very full and happy.

I am blown away that this isn’t everyone’s go-to place in Bar Harbor! On a long weekend vacation, my boyfriend and I were staying half a mile from here and ended up there for ice cream one night. Turns out they do breakfast, lunch, dinner, AND are attached to Udder Heaven. ITS A ONE STOP FOR EVERYTHING. Staff is incredibly kind and speedy. Breakfast was delicious. I got the corned beef hash omelette and it was amazing. Came back for lunch and got a burger and my boyfriend got the pulled pork plate. The fries are massive and so good. Also had a blueberry sangria that was amazing, not overly sweet like a lot of sangrias I come across! HIGHLY recommend this one-stop all!

Fantastic BBQ at a very decent price. I have been going here for years as I used to work in the area, the pulled pork sandwich is amazing and up until yesterday is all I ever got. the past 2 days I have gone twice and decided to go with the sampler. First I got a appetizer and the jalepeno poppers looked average but were so addictive. The ribs had great flavor and fell right off the bone, the sausage was packed with flavor and had just a bit of spice to it, the chicken had good flavor but I was too full to really enjoy it. This is a must go to any who want something different than seafood while in Bar Harbor, I dont think I'll ever go to Bar Harbor without stopping in for a bite!

Best lobster dinner I had on this vacation! Ate outdoors but there is indoor seating. Family also ate heartily and well. Dessert comes from the attached ice cream parlor, with a long list of flavors. We came back for breakfast, the menu for which is traditional but good.

Our first time in Maine and decided to stop here. SO glad we did. The day was beautiful so we sat outside. The outside seating is very nice and comfortable, plus you get the smell of the smoker. Our waitress, Katie, was incredibly nice, knew the menu, and answered all our questions. The food was SO GOOD. We all happened to get the pulled pork and were not disappointed. Also, a good amount of food for a very reasonable price. Katie also chatted with us about the area as we are out of town. Would definitely go back! Some very good bbq!

Ate here 3 times in the last week while staying at Bar Harbor Campground. Sausage gravy biscuits were awesome! Had them two mornings in a row because they were so tasty. My wife got the blueberry French toast which was not that good in either of our opinions. Chicken tenders and fries are on point. Pulled pork was tender but other than that not too great. Cole slaw was the worst piece of garbage I’ve ever put in my mouth. I’d be surprised if any of the staff have ever even tried it. Not bad overall but you definitely have to pick and choose. P.S. Udder Heaven is pretty bomb and is right next door.

This is my new favorite restaurant on Desert Island. The food was all fantastic, from the ribs to the lobster- even the fries were on point! The service was friendly and speedy. Prices were comparable to other lobster pounds in the area, probably even a bit lower. We will definitely be back!

Stayed four days in Bar Harbor. After several lobster meals, we wanted something else for a change. We ordered the max plate, which has ribs, chicken, pulled pork and sausage, plus three sides, enough for four adults. Surprised by the quality of food and service here. Loved the chicken wings! The blueberry ale is fantastic. Definitely will eat here again in our next trip.

Spent a month travelling through Maine, and a week in the Bar Harbor area. We had a few breakfasts here and they were awesome. The waitresses provided good service and were on their game. We had dinner one night there. The sausage was excellent, pulled pork was good, but the ribs too fatty for my choice. But still an overall good meal.

Came here with a group of 9 and the waiter was kind enough to ask if we needed separate checks and worked with the waitress from Udder Heaven to ensure that checks were correct. Some of the best ribs that I've had in while!! I ordered their half rack for dinner and they were perfect! I thought their prices were good for the food we got! Open for breakfast and one of the few places on Bar Harbor that isn't just about the lobster. The lunch menu looked fantastic, but as I was only there for breakfast I chose the (very reasonably priced) omelette and a side of beans. Outdoor seating is perfect for a warm day, with plenty of space and set well back from the road.

We loved Mainely Meat! We had dinner there every night, while on the island for vacation. The wait staff was friendly, and helpful. The food was so good, we had the huge meat sample platter, and there was more food on it that us four could eat. Of, and the blueberry pancakes are pure heaven!!

Seems to be the same owner as next door's udder heaven. They're open for breakfast which is convenient if you're staying around the area. Try grits if you haven't had it before :) You know they know BBQ when the big smoker outside is spewing smoke very early each morning. They have a nice patio to sit in as well. Good service. Pricing is reasonable as well. A welcome relief to have good BBQ amongst all the lobster boils around town.

The waitress seemed like she didn't want to sell us drinks or food. Then I understood why..... She was seating on a bench next to our table waiting for her mom ( or aunt, or friend) to bring her different shoes. Maybe she was in pain, once she got the new shoes I got excited I thought she was going to give us better service. Like refilling our drinks or at least offer water but no :( she decided to removed her shoes and started massaging her feet and grooming her toes and in between them. We could not believe it!!!! It was even funny like unbelievable. Then she looked at us. Rolled her eyes and once she was finished inspectioning her feet she got up dragging her feet and brought our food to the table. Since then we call that place ' mainly feet'

Very nice local restaurant, family owned. Open for breakfast early at 6:30 am, which was great for our schedule. Food is fresh, made to order. My egg sandwich with pulled pork and Swiss cheese on whole wheat toast was very good. You can help yourself with coffee refills not to bother busy waitress. My husband had an omelette prepared just the way he asked. Paid $24 ticket with tip. Left full and satisfied. Thank you ✌
