My girlfriend and i stopped by here yesterday afternoon for some lunch and let me tell you I'll never do that again. Service was below mediocre and the food was downright terrible Later that night my girl and I find ourselves blowing chunks all up until the next night (tonight) We both had to call out of work, I will never ever give happy dragon my money. I'd rather go to McDonalds

There is great Chinese food and mediocre Chinese food. Even when it's not great you still know what to expect for flavors. This is neither of those experiences. I did not think it was possible to make truly terrible Americanized Chinese food. Control group: General Tso's, crab rangoon, fried shrimp with veggies, a fruity drink. Our first drink, a Mai Tai tasted pretty much like a sour orange took a piss in a glass of aspartame. I'm not kidding. We actually had to send it back, which we never do. The crab rangoon was amazingly under-fried; doughy, chewy, no thank you. The fried shrimp was batter-fried like you would imagine chicken fingers to be, in a sauce that most closely resembled the part of brown gravy you usually discard. I honestly never thought it would be possible to have bad General Tso's chicken, or "General Spicy Chicken" as they call it. Perhaps it was the Hawaiian punch red color of the chicken that should have first alerted me. In retrospect, the fact that the waitress attempted to deter me from this choice should have been a red flag. The sauce was unlike anything I have ever tasted; best guess is grenadine, corn syrup, and barbecue sauce with some indecipherable grainy texture thrown in. If it was anything distinguishable I would say sugar... or sand. My wife concurs that this is the most accurate description either of us can think of. The only redeeming factor was that the chicken appeared to be real, easing my growing concern for imminent kidney failure. If you do decide to eat here, make sure to accept the free cup of tea you are offered upon arrival and scald your mouth to a tingly numbness prior to partaking in your meal. The food here used to be consistently good, but last few times we ate here some entrees were good, some were just ok and some made us question if we should ever eating here again. There isn’t much in this area to choose from so we have been going to Portland where the food is undoubtedly better quality. I would not recommend Happy Dragon to anyone who wants good Chinese food. Maybe cheap, but not good.

I just choked on a splinter as long as my pointer finger that was in their meat sticks. The whole skewer was shredded up into the meat and was not noticable until I was choking with it just barely in reach of my fingers. Luckily I managed to get it out while choking..... but lost my appetite.

On the same day as another local Chinese Eatery let me down for providing an office lunch for my directs. Happy Dragon took my order for 7 lunches and had it ready in nearly under 15 minutes. My team was happy with each of their choices. The plastic utensils they provide are also top-notch, no cutting corners there. Please note they do not deliver.

We use to go once a week. Ordered out once and ate in twice since new owners. It was terrible. Rice had no flavor, chicken fingers were so crunchy, teraki steak was so fatty and chicken wings were so greasy and we waited a long time to order and get food.

Very disappointed :-( rice was dry with no flaver, chicken and beef on a stick , stuck in the throught... wings were tough... Chicken fingers and crab Rangoon were ok. Waitress was curt and hard to understand when requesting a substitution - all in all I will not return or recommend this restaurant .. Oh, and if you like gristle for ribs, than their ribs are for you.

Got takeout on a friday night. I noticed that it was ready rather quickly! Seemed like the food had been microwaved to heat it up. Terrible eggroll... Cashew chicken was bland and globs of starch. Not somewhere you should go late at night. Go to Wok N Roll over on Elm St. before 10pm and stay away from this place...

I am going to give happy dragon 2 stars for the simple fact that their wonton soup and spare ribs were pretty good. Everything else was one note, and that note was grease. They give you way to much rice that has no flavor, and the waitress was so rude. I have been before, that's why I can give this review.

My experiences here have differed from one another. I've had some 5 star experienced here however I've had occasions where some of the staff can be rude. Some of my orders did not come back as I ordered them. When they get it right, the atmosphere here is great and the food is delicious. Large windows make for great viewing of our busy Main street.

ate there the other day got chicken and broccoli with white rice the chicken was rubbery and the rice seemed like it was sitting for a while. also my friend asked for lo mein but didn't know it came with rice so she asked for another dish with both separate the lady just took another plate and threw the rice on and returned the same dish to her after she asked for a new plate both separated. the third time my friend asked they finally did it right. horrible experience here and I don't plan on going back there

I tried not to say anything, but I just can’t help it. 6 weeks ago my husband and I had lunch here. Do you see what effect this has had on me? I am still thinking about it! These folks know how to make crab rangoon. Absolutely wonderful. Let me mention the sesame seeds. Amazing. Walk, drive, jog, take out. It doesn’t matter how you get there, you must treat yourselves to a real treat. Not to be forgotten, is the staff; hospitable, very attentive and absolutely great. After all, what would the Happy Dragon be without them?

Have been going here for 9 years. I think they changed hands because for the past year or so the quality of the food has gone WAY down. My meal today was ineatable. I said something but the serve just giggled. Don't think she speaks English. Said something to another person she was even less interested. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the Kennebunk/Arundel/Biddeford/Saco area - they have fast service, low prices, large portions, and the food is superb. Standouts include excellent lo mein, boneless spare ribs, and general's chicken, though you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. Ignore the down reviews (particularly the one a month prior to mine, written by an obvious lunatic) - this is legitimate New England Chinese operated by a superb Biddeford family.

We weren't offered anything to drink besides the water and tea that is served while looking over the menu. Asked for a fresh container of duck sauce because we didn't wany to use the one already on the table since we don't know if anyone had already dipped their food in it. The server went to the table behind ours and took the duck sauce containe from that table and gave it to us.
