You will be able to see the reviews of people like you who are using the products of Great Maine Breakfast (Restaurant) near Maine.
At present the business has a rating of 4.5 over 5 and that score has been based on 459 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is nearly the best one, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can be quite sure that the assessment is quite credible. If many people have bothered to leave their score when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Breakfast restaurant.
My new favorite breakfast place of all time. Skillet breakfast was the absolute bomb. Corned beef has was phenomenal. Good coffee excellent service. Bright and clean inside.
Absolutely amazing, authentic, high-quality, friendly, clean, delicious, and a lovely breakfast joint, on Cottage Street in Bar Harbor. Everything from their blueberry or pumpkin pancakes to there egg dishes to their extra-rich hot coffee, are all nothing shy of outstanding... a little bit of a wait, but worth every bit of it! And the servers are all sweethearts, and very accommodating. A+++++
I would like to thank Susan, the proprietor, and the amazing waitress staff at Jeanne's for making our first visit to Bar Harbor such a memorable one. We decided to go here for breakfast our first morning in town, Wendy our waitress was sweet and gave an amazing recommendation for the breakfast pot roast. It was tender, delicious and perfectly filling for a day of rainy exploring around Acadia. Our three year old loved her pancakes and scrambled eggs so much so, that she requested to go back the next day. Upon our return we were greeted like family/old friends and felt so welcomed that we ended up going there for breakfast all 4 mornings we were in town. We tried a variety of menu items and we not disappointed with a single one. The oatmeal toast was a highlight, the homemade strawberry-rhubarb jam was outstanding, as were the perfect home fries (ask for a side of Mornay sauce!) Thank you Susan, Wendy, Meghan, Ina and Lauren for your truly sweet, hospitable and kind service. Hopefully we will see you next year!
This is a small restraint with an outstanding breakfast menu. The service was good and the coffee was above most other restaurants we have eaten breakfast. I only give 3 Stars because it is not excellentlly designed or exceptionally becorated but out 20 minute wait was worth it.
Great Maine has great food! They've got a whole vegan menu, tofu scramble burritos and pancakes!! the only downside is how busy it gets. There's always a line in the morning to get breakfast which is a bummer. Bathrooms are clean, staff is friendly, once seated service is prompt.
What a cool spot just off the beaten path in downtown Bar Harbor. My wife and I have been to Bar Harbor and Acadia many times and have never found this place. It started by searching for gluten free breakfast spots in town—as we’ve recently discovered a gluten sensitivity. Jeannie’s came up first everywhere we looked, and for good reason! Lots of breakfast options both for gluten free and glutened. There are gluten free pancakes, English muffin and more. Food was quite good and reasonably priced for the area. The staff was very nice and attentive for a busy fall foliage Sunday morning.
The wait was a little longer than we expected... until we got inside! Definitely worth it. Warm, friendly staff and great food
I can't say enough about this place! I have food allergies, and their options were amazing! Gluten free blueberry pancakes?!? This is a must for breakfast! We actually ate here twice it was so good!
Pretty good breakfast spot. The meals are huge and delicious!
Best pancakes anywhere!
Breakfast sandwiches were pretty good, home fries were not very good. Nice snd quick service. Open early for after visiting Cadillac Mountain sunrise.
Omelets were just OK. Pancakes were really bad. Service was great. That's the only reason for a 4 star.
Great food and great service $32 for two.
Wait time, medium
Nice staff, great food. Strawberry rhubarb jam is a must try!
have been coming back to this place since we found it. if there is a wait, wait. service is fast. food is great. blue berry pancakes are my husbands favorite while I love the omelets. reccomend and will be back tomorrow, for the 3rd day in a row
Best breakfast we had on all of MDI and we tried all the top rated ones. Great food. Loved their sausage gravy. Service was always exceptional. They put the coffee carafe on the table which is great for the heavy coffee consumers like myself. It was a little easier on the pocket book than most in Bar Harbor too.
Good food. Long wait. Worth it to go!
Best place in town for breakfast, super friendly staff, the only place I go when I visit the Bar Harbor area. Try it, you won't be disappointed....
We come here everytime we come to Bar Harbor and the breakfast and staff that serves it are always amazing!
I really enjoyed Jeannies! I tried the Great Maine breakfast. It was super cheap and it came with 3 eggs, potatoes, baked beans, a pancake, and toast. I really like the potatoes and the pancakes, but the strawberry rhubarb jam was my favorite! I could have happily just had toast for breakfast!
We had breakfast here on vacation. Earliest shop to open in North Harbor, went there right after watching the sunrise over the ocean. Friendly staff, great food!
That was without a doubt, THE BEST Restaurant experience that we've had in Maine. LOVED IT
Best breakfast in town. Don't miss.
Best breakfast in NE, happy owner dedicated to delivering delicious breakfasts and waitresses from heaven. Just a shame we didn’t find it our first morning in Bar Harbor. Wanted to try so many other breakfast options. Six thumbs up (me and two travel mates)!
Unbelievably TASTY food! Wow!! The stuffed French toast is like breakfast crack, it is so delicious! Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The owners work right up front and the entire staff go through acrobatics to make your experience a fantastic one! The store is small, but comfortable. They went above and beyond to seat our large party of 11. Everyone loved the food! The restaurant is super clean, too, not sticky like so many other breakfast restaurants. You will not be disappointed- go!
Great food friendly people Bryon and Susan Sanders have done a great job with the place wish them the best of luck I want the sausage gravy recipe please.
This place serves traditional American breakfast. The food was really good and the prices were pretty reasonable
Wonderful breakfast restaurant with lots of local ingredients and homemade menu items! Fantastic food and service. The Lobster Benedict was cooked perfectly and everything was seasoned well. They have a large menu and daily specials. They even have vegan dishes which is a nice option. There was a short wait during peak morning time, but there are benches and they will call your name over a loud speaker once your table is ready.
It was delicious....
Highly recommend! My husband hasn't stopped talking about Great Maine Breakfast and the pot roast breakfast he got! Original, scrumptious and very filling. My was awesome as well just can't get a word in edge wise.
Name says it all. Fast friendly service. A little pricey but to be expected in touristy Bah Hahbuh.
Traditional breakfast fare well prepared.
Good food and friendly staff
Great place great food. Fun
Great breakfast with something for everyone. Lots of good Vegan / Vegetarian options. Friendly staff and if course it's in bah hah bah. This town is a pure joy. If you haven't visited Maine, it's a must! If you are in the bar Harbor area they are open early for breakfast.
Always a hit every time we go there. Blueberry pancakes are huge and delicious. You'll probably order more food than you can eat.
A small, cozy spot to grab breakfast downtown. I’m not usually big on omelettes, but I had the lobster omelette and it was delicious! We enjoyed several different dishes and the blueberry pancakes were great as well. Good gluten-free options as well, including pancakes and English muffins and they’re mindful of what they cook on the grill for those options. Definitely worth the stop if you’re looking for a hearty breakfast!
The service is friendly. The food was great. It's a cozy little place that is worth waiting for. Knowledgeable about gluten free options and up front offered on their menu. Super impressed. Coffee is great too!
I am a big fan of all day breakfast. Got there around 12 and was seated right away. So many good things to pick from on the menu. I ended up with the blue berry pancakes and they were so good I did not even need to add syrup! Some of the more reasonable prices in town as well.
Wait then when you get in they act like you are bothering them. Service was not good, food was just ok, NO Substitution, you can't delete an item and get credit but everything is extra, and they wont bring you a muffin before the main meal, "we don't course a meal" she said Price was high for what you got too
By far the best place for breakfast in Bar Harbor. Prices are amazingly affordable and the food is mouth watering. Not a single complaint from anyone of our party of 6. Will come back for breakfast my entire stay here
I've never had a breakfast burrito this large and good. great place.
Service was good. Breakfast was just fair, but nothing special.
Great service, great people, great food, good prices.
This is a little gem in bar harbor, their food is awesome, everyone is friendly, they get you in and out fairly quick because there is usually a line waiting to get in. It isn't very big...but it is very good.
Excellent experience from start to finish. We had a brief wait on a very busy morning. The service was fast, efficient and attentive. The menu has lots of traditional items as well as some healthy twists on old favorites. Something for all diet preferences. The Lox special was one of the most creative and delicious meals I've had in a long time. We even purchased some homemade strawberry rhubarb jelly to take home. Outstanding!
Place is indeed clean, staff is friendly and prompt, and everything ran super smooth... no complain in that sense, service is REALLY good! My rating is solely based on the fact that I really disliked my breakfast (so pretty much the rating is for my dish). I had the egg sandwich with ham in an english muffin. My egg was super oily/buttery, which is what I think ruined the rest of my dish. The muffin was super soggy and the chunk of ham (big piece yes, so this would be great for so many people) felt too salty. The cheese was melted along with egg, so oily as well. So again, maybe this would be amazing for other people, but I was looking for a toasted muffin with the perfect egg, cheese and ham combination... I left most of bread on plate and only had bits of ham. My husband had the chocolate chips pancakes. They were good, but nothing special. He did not have the blueberries pancakes, which is what I think is an specialty here, so cannot comment on that.
Good service. Open early to go to after watching the sunrise on top of Cadillac mountain. Typical breakfast options.
Pretty standard diner. Really good food and service all around. The homemade strawberry rhubarb goes really well with the toast
Awesome breakfast. THE place to be well fed and well served. Yes, there's often a wait, while restaurants within 100' have open tables. Don't worry. Just chill. It's worth it. Susan and her husband do a great job making sure you're welcomed and the food is wholesome, well prepared and served quickly. Highly recommend the blueberry pancakes, the omelettes are all very good, you can't go wrong. Always get the cinnamon raisin bread. The strawberry rhubarb jam is perfection. I've tried them all in town, and this is by far the best of the best.
Very good breakfast. Great service.
Cery good eating, had to wait awhile but it was worth it, plus thete are shops all around to keep you entertained.
Food and staff are really good but keep in mind waiting time for table before you plan to eat there. This being a famous breakfast place, on weekends average waiting time was minimum half an hour to get the table. Be ready to wait outside and reach there at least 45 minutes before you explode with hunger.
Friendly service, wonderful food, great value!
Don't get the hash! Blech! It looked like sand. I've never seen hash so dry! It was literally dry crumbles. The gluten free pancakes were pretty good though!
Worth the wait !
Great food and homemade strawberry rhubarb jam
Blueberry pancakes and sauce are to die for.
Good homestyle breakfast
great food and service, get there early to avoid the wait
The service was great and the food was fantastic.
Good atmosphere, great breakfast choices, awesome food
Some of the best blueberry pancakes I’ve ever had. Sweet, homey environment with perfect portions.
Had breakfast here on our last day. The coffee was delicious. The meals were a decent portion size.
Our experience here was absolutely horrible. Our two and a half year old (at the time) is admittedly a slow eater and we were just waiting for her to finish eating (trying to keep her focused on her meal). While she was finishing up, we didn’t realize it was coming up on closing time. If someone would have politely given us a heads up, we would have absolutely asked for some to-go containers and been on our way. Having been servers ourselves, we always try to be conscientious of that, but they close earlier than you would expect and we were completely unaware of that fact. Our daughter was still actively eating her pancakes when a worker came and snatched the half full plate right out from in front of her. I politely said, “Oh, excuse me! She was still working on that!” and the woman rolled her eyes and slammed the plate back down in front of her. About two minutes later the woman came back and aggressively grabbed the half full plate again and nastily said, “I have to take this, we need to run the dishwasher.” She was so quick to walk away we couldn’t even respond. It was only now that we realized they were closing, but there had never been an offer for a to-go box, or frankly even a chance for us to ask for one. Our server had been MIA from the time that we got our meals. It turned out to only be a few minutes after closing time that we were out the door, as we saw on our way out, so it’s not like we were there for an excessive amount of time. Most restaurants let people finish their meals within reason and just don't accept new customers at closing time. Regardless, this could have been done tactfully. I’ve never experienced such appallingly rude treatment at a restaurant before. Especially with the steep prices, the food we paid for should not have been snatched right out from in front of our child. I’d never go back. It was so bad that this story is often the first memory we have of our trip to Bar Harbor, or when someone brings up a horrendous customer service story.
Tables fill up around 830 on the weekend after that people had to wait 15-30 minutes or so. They have a few vegan options for people who are stuck with vegan travel companions. There non vegan options are excellent. They have weekly specials too. I got the special pumpkin pancake my wife got the special omelet.
Great staff, cute place and a scrumptious array of breakfast options
Always delicious! Great gluten free options. We go multiple times during our stay in Bar Harbor.
the taste of pancakes, as if made from a cheap mix with water.
Awesome place for breakfast! Great food and the waitress was very friendly and kind.
Great food fresh! Vegan and gluten free options too ! .....Except the coffee. You can’t get hot coffee! The thermos thing does not work!
Service was amazing, they accommodated our party of 8 smoothly. Excellent GF options! This is a must stop for bar harbor!
Great food! I got the Campground Skiddle (no meat) and loved it, and my dad enjoyed his vegan burrito. I recommend for the food as it's very good and reasonably priced. The only critique I have is that because of how busy it is the service can be kind of brief (I didn't get refills on my water the whole time) but it's no really big deal, just stop your waitress when she comes by. Great place with a central location that brings you close to the rest of the town.
What a great place. Nice people, great food. It's very busy, we got the last table and a line started very quickly. It's worth the wait.
Fabulous and attentive service and even better food! I’ll 100% be coming back next time I’m in town.
Enjoy vegan food
Fantastic little place for a great breakfast. Gluten free pancakes are a bonus in my book. Get there early due to parking competition
Good strawberry jam. Great place for a big breakfast :)
I loved this place! They had so many options that looked so good, it was hard to choose just one option for breakfast! It fills up quickly, so we waited 15 minutes, but it was so worth it! I had the Frenchman Bay Benedict, and it was amazing. One of the best vegetarian benedicts I've ever had!
AWESOME! Great food, service and atmosphere. Go early, fills up fast but would be worth the wait!
Breakfast was awesome. Went very early after watching the sun rise at Cadillac Mountain. Had the Mexican poached eggs and they where delicious. My wife had the sausage biscuits and gravy. They were ok, nothing special. Staff was fast and friendly.
This place is worth the hype! We had blueberry pancakes (warning: they're BIG) which we topped with their homemade strawberry rhubarb jam... Delicious beyond words! We also had a savory breakfast dish which was the Veggie Benedict with hash browns and it was also perfect! Highly recommended but we recommend you book since it's packed!
There is always a line, but it is worth the wait We went here on our penultimate day in Bar Habor and got the Great Maine Breakfast. Everything was delicious but the blueberry pancakes were amazing. It was so good, we woke up early and came in the next morning before our drive back home. And there was still a wait at 7am! Staff is super friendly and this may have been one of the best meals on our trip. I highly recommend coming one morning if you're in town.
Breakfast was amazing but this place is always crowded. Worth the wait!
As someone with lots of food allergies they were very helpful! I got a great meal at a great price. I highly recommend it!
This place is pretty good. My girlfriend and I were up insanely early for some reason I forget, but Jeannie's was open. The owner and staff are EXTREMELY friendly, they are very real and I think they contribute to the place's atmosphere. The location is bright and clean. I had the lumberjack breakfast, it's was HUGE. I was stuffed by the end of it. The blueberry pancakes are good, not mind blowing, but enjoyable and standard for the island. Overall the food was good, not great, but good. For the price, I left feeling I had gotten a good value. I believe the owner said the spreads on the table were homemade, they were quite tasty as well. If you're on the island, it's definitely worth checking out.
Awesome tourist spot. Our waitress was good and really friendly and funny. Food was good and there was a lot of it at a reasonable price.
Cute little plan with good vegan options!
I was very skeptical looking at this place from the outside... but the food was delicious and arrived quickly. Service was polite and efficient. The blueberry pancake wasn't the best but their Cadillac breakfast special was great!
I was in Bar Harbor for work, and on the last day of my trip, I really wanted blueberry pancakes. Great Maine Breakfast filled that need perfectly! After a 10-15 minute wait, I got in, ordered, and was indulging in blueberry goodness in no time. My server was very prompt and attentive. She even brought me real maple syrup after I asked her what was on the table. It was "table syrup" of course! I'm glad I got the real thing. Extra kudos to Great Maine Breakfast for its vegan and gluten free menu items. They're highlighted on the menu. Overall, Great Maine Breakfast is true to its name. Can't wait to return when I'm in the area.
came with my father (former chef) and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. I had the eggs over easy and corn beef hash that was fresh and delicious! Staff friendly, restaurant clean, prices reasonable.
Best gluten free blueberry pancakes I've ever had! I have a gluten allergy so I am very sensitive to cross contamination. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and understanding of this. My husband is not gluten free and he couldn't tell a difference in taste.
Friendly staff, great breakfast food! But get there early - they are busy!
What a wonderful place. The beans were just like my Grammy Ketch would make.
A great place for breakfast! Come early if you want to wait less, but you should DEFINITELY plan on a wait. The food is well worth it though, the staff friendly, and the prices reasonable (given its location). Try the strawberry rhubarb jam on the blueberry pancakes, it makes them amazingly delicious, better than with maple syrup!
Both service and food were average
I figured for an outdoorsy town, there'd be plenty of places to eat for the early risers, but there wasn't. Thankfully we found Jeannie's. The Lobster Benedict, scramble, and pot roast were all on point.. wish we had more time in town to come back and try the rest of the menu!
Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Unbelievable service and quality of food. Worth the wait!
The service was really good, and it's a nice atmosphere in a clean cafe. I enjoyed my plate, but my wife was dissatisfied with her breakfast burrito and the salsa provided with it. It's definitely a bit pricey compared to what i'm used to for a breakfast spot, but baahaba
Jeannie and her staff really understand Celiac and gluten free. Had a great breakfast! They have a lot of choices for the gluten free and tastes wonderful!!
Good food, average service!
Taste like home breakfast. Get here early, it gets busy quick. Pictured:Scrambled Eggs, Homefries, Turkey Bacon, carrot/walnut muffin.
Truly as advertised, a great breakfast. I was a little concerned that this would be a tourist trap but fears were alleviated when four tasty dishes were served. I had smoked salmon sliders on herb biscuits and my wife had the Frenchman Eggs Benedict, kids had blueberry pancakes. Strawberry Rhubarb jam on theirs which was delicious. Even the breakfast potatoes that I normally don't care for were nicely caramelized, perfectly seasoned, and devoured. Only improvements or things to adjust for: coffee is ok, but dinner coffee so not spectacular. Eggs are also done a little more than normal. My wife ordered soft poach and got firm, I ordered over easy and got over medium. Not a big deal and didn't send back but if on the fence, go lighter cook.
Filling breakfast at a great price. Get there a little early to beat the morning rush.
Great portions of great food! Excellent homemade breads and muffins. Truly a must have when in Bah Habah
Great food, gluten free and vegan options, very friendly staf.
Must go spot in bar harbor for breakfast or lunch! They have a home made strawberry rhubarb jam which was delicious!
Great food and great service! We went here by accident and came back the next day. I would eat here again next time for sure!
Really good jam! Love the service and food was great as well.
The wait was worth it. Food and selection is great and service is friendly. Good location in center of Bar Harbor.
Great food! The service was great too! I love the atmosphere.
Decent breakfast food, not quite up to par for the price. They do have vegan and gluten free options available. Although it was my least favorite breakfast stop out of my Bar Harbor vacation, it was still good.
Hardy breakfast; 20 minutes wait to be seated. Staff friendly. Pot of coffee and rubard jam on every table. I ordered bay florentine, which had a lot if cheese on it. Portion size is large. Fresh Fruit on the side was very good.
Strawberry rhubarb jam was amazing
Corned beef hash was delicious. There was a bit of a wait but worth it.
Delicious family style meet nice people
Almost hate to review here because it will be more crowded next time I try to go! Come to the national park 1-2 times a year, always stop in here at least once for breakfast each trip. Like the no cell phone policy. See the same staff year in year out, always friendly and helpful, even when very busy (this place gets BUSY during tourist season). Can't recall ever ordering anything I didn't like here, always stick to the breakfast menu. I try to get in here early to beat the crowd and to fill up a little before a long hike. Have to give an extra shout out to the staff that saw our dog waiting in the car for us last time and, after asking, went out to give him some bacon. Happy customers + happy pet= win. If you're in town and need breakfast, go here.
Wow!! Great food, nice place, but the service was SPECTACULAR!! They really went out if thier way to take care of my Celiac wife. We appreciate thier concern and really enjoyed the entire experience.
The food here was scrumptious! The POT ROASTI It was probably some of the most tasty pot roast I've ever had! Just the right amount of saltiness! They also keep a jar of strawberry rhubarb jam on the table that was yummy (I wish it had more rhubarb though) I would definitely return to this spot! If there is a little line it is certainly worth the wait!
Be prepared for huge portions that don't look like much but are super filling. Eggs are really well done for whatever type you ask for. Pancakes are evenly done and are fluffy. The omelette a are delicious and really well done. Service was quick and efficient. They offer gluten free and vegetarian options!
Plan on waiting, but it is worth it and their jam is awesome.
This place is too good. The service and food is great and well worth the wait, which can last for up to 40 minutes. I got the lox sliders, and B O Y where they delicious. Make it a point on your list to go here.
Wonderful place, staff and food. WARNING to those with Celiac Disease though. Even though they make a great effort to provide gluten free pancakes the food is still contaminated with flour. It was the risk I took knowing how hard it is to provide a gluten contamination free bakery good in a flour filled kitchen. The risk backfired. Don't let this steer you away from this wonderful place. Just order wiser than I did.
This is a comparison of 4 breakfast restaurants all located in downtown bar harbor. I rank them in the following order with a possible rating of zero to five stars. 2 Cats 5 stars Jeannie’s Great Maine Breakfast 4 stars Jordan’s Blueberry Pancakes 3.5 stars Cafe This Way 3.5 stars 2 Cats by far is the best place for breakfast. Their mildly spicy home fries are pre boiled and cooked to perfection. Scrambled egg mix was fluffy and not greasy. Excellent corned beef hash. The spicy country sausage was grilled not greasy and delicious. Fresh homemade biscuit and excellent coffee. Jeannie’s Great Maine Breakfast excels in service. They’re just plain nice people. The blueberry pancake was delicious. Homemade oat toast outstanding. The home fries need improvement. They seemed to have been pre cooked in a fryer and then left too long in a warmer leaving them too dry. I much prefer grilled home fries vs fried in oil. Coffee was a little bland. Jordan’s Blueberry Pancakes confused me. Their name suggests good pancakes but if I had to guess I believe they’re made from an instant mix vs made from scratch because they’re bland. The blueberry sauce was superb but wasted on a stack of disappointing pancakes. The coffee and grilled home fries were very good. The surprisingly best thing about Cafe This Way was the blueberry pancakes with a rich and crispy texture. The coffee was also excellent and their dining room very comfortable. I got there early they appeared to be over staffed the dining room only half full but they sat me and never came back. After spending about five minutes watching the staff stand around talking to each other I finally walked over and asked to be waited on. The service never got better. My issue with Cafe this Way is their overuse of oil. The fried home fries and the scrambled egg mix were greasy. The sausage was actually deep fried. Definitely not my preference.
Best breakfast in Bar Harbor. I wouldn’t say it’s as good the best restaurants in a big city, but for Bar Harbor, it’s pretty good. I ordered the eggs over hash browns skillet! Their homemade bread was not great, tasted stale. But the main dish was good!
Delicious blueberry pancakes
People were friendly. Food was average.
After watching sunrise in Cadillac mountain, we stopped here for breakfast. Wild blueberry pancake, the size of the plate is very very good with home made strawberry and rhubarb jelly. Tried their omelette with potato and home made cinnamon raisin toast - it was delicious ! Road side 2 hour parking is available just in front of the restaurant. On weekends it maybe a good idea to go early if you wanna avoid long wait.
Eggs were green and women all slapped me
This place was recommended as something you must experience in Bar Harbor. Be sure to arrive early, as the wait list increases pretty quickly throughout the morning. The dinning area is fairly small, and you will most likely wait in the adjacent courtyard until they call you from an intercom. The wait staff was very attentive and the pancakes were ridiculously delicious.
Great value and great food a must stop!
It tasted good until we found a hair strand in the omelette.
Great breakfast, was being rushed along to get out the door though.
Breakfast was very good, atmosphere homey and laid back, and the prices not too bad considering it's right in the heart of Bar Harbor.
Good breakfast spot. Highlight was the raspberry rhubarb jam, it's delicious! There might be a little wait depending on what time you get there at. We waited about 20 minutes to get a table, but people coming after us didn't have to wait.
Friendly staff, great food
By far one of the best breakfasts I have had! Service was great! Coffee was awesome, and the food was superb!
Best breakfast period!
My girlfriend and I went here for breakfast because they have gluten free pancakes. We both had the lumberjack, which was two eggs, any style, potatoes, two pancakes (we upped to blueberry), and two bacon strips. The coffee was pretty weak and tasteless. They also didn't have fresh half and half, only those small plastic containers, same with butter, and no brown or raw sugar. Also, no hot syrup and it didn't taste like anything fresh and local. The blueberry pancakes were good and all of our food came out hot. Potatoes were nothing special, and neither were the eggs. Our bill for that and the coffee was almost $50 with tip (thanks to an extra $9 for gluten free pancakes for one, and the upgrade to blueberry). We pay the same price for an absolutely fantastic breakfast at two different places in the heart of New York City, so we weren't too thrilled with the meal for the price. Overall, not too impressed by this place and would have given it three stars except gave it four because of the gluten free options.
My favorite breakfast place! Always good.
There was a long wait, but the vegan menu was worth it! Kind of felt like they wanted to hurry everyone out at end, but that's pretty understandable considering how many people were waiting to sit.
Delicious, hearty breakfast with great vegan options! I am always impressed with the food and service. Susan (the owner) is a friendly, accommodating hostess who always remembers my partner and I.
Best meal of the week.
Very good. I thought the stuffed pancakes didn't have enough of the cream cheese filling.
Awesome Blueberry pancakes! A must stop on your list
Small little place with great food. Highly recommend. Friendly people.
Great food and staff..very friendly..... Owner is there and made it a point to stop at every table... Good prices for being in the tourist area of downtown...everyone wants to go back tomorrow! SO MUCH BETTER than Jordan's down the street!
Last month was the third vacation my wife and I took to Acadia National Park, and this time we brought my recently-widowed mother with us so she could personally experience exactly what keeps bringing us back to the island. And Jeannie's Great Maine Breakfast is among the top three reasons for me (next to Cadillac Mountain and just walking around downtown Bar Harbor). In fact, going to Jeannie's was the thing I was most looking forward too, and I'd swore I would go there for at least four of the seven mornings we were there (only managed three unfortunately). Every single employee with whom we ever interacted across our three trips was kind, friendly, and down-to-earth. They were always very accommodating with my wife's dairy allergy (on our second vacation in 2015, we had the same waitress as on our first trip a year prior, and she very clearly and specifically remembered my wife and her allergy issues). In fact, my wife encountered this waitress yet again this year, and this time she even remembered which BOOTH we were sitting in back in 2015! It's small things like that which made us feel like genuine guests and never like tourists. And the food? Let's just say that, for this Northeastern Pennsylvania resident, the Cadillac Mountain breakfast is the standard to which I compare all other restaurant breakfasts! The only one that can rival it is All Day Breakfast just outside Kennebunkport. This is a first-class operation through and through, and I recommend it to anyone I know who is going to Acadia.
Nice atmosphere, food was good and the people were very nice.
Great vegan options for breakfast - pancakes, tofu scrambles etc. Tasty. Good service. Friendly staff
Pretty good, fast, solid breakfast, weak coffee, but in a charming sort of way ;)
Amazing place. Quick and friendly service!!
Great breakfast. Pleasant staff
Awesome a go to place when in Bar Harbor
