Geddy's is awesome and always my go-to when in town. Get some delicious food (including lots of gluten free options), unique drinks, great service, then check out the store below and take a walk in downtown Bar Harbor. Try the clam chowder, I don't even like seafood and it was delicious!

Really good. Great atmosphere to bring family and adequate space to accommodate a family. Awesome gift shop below. My portion of lobster was a little small for the price but I also chose to take lazy "where they pick the meat for you." They were very busy when we went so it's understandable if they couldn't take the time to grab every chunk of lobster goodness before serving us.

Food was ok but the service was really dissapointing. We had to ask for water on the table. They forgot one of the sides. Got the closest table to the kitchen offered, although lots of others were available. Included 18% gratuity charge for a group of 4, Wtf?

Here's the thing about Geddy's. The food is quite good and it boasts great customer service. And the price point isn't bad compared to most other places in town. But the restaurant has an extremely touristy vibe overall. If you like kitsch art/adornments, coloring book placemats, and a generic classic rock playlist, then you'll love this place. Hard to argue with solid comfort food though.

The concierge at our hotel recommended this place, and I'm glad she did. We didn't figure out until after dinner, when we went downstairs into the gift shop that it's Geddy Lee of Rush's pub. Very cool, laid back place, with friendly people and good lobster. Edit: It's not owned by Geddy Lee; the owner is just a big fan.

Staff was friendly, but the food was terribly overrated. The lobster roll was advertised as 1/3 of a pound of lobster. It wasn't even close. What I got was close to maybe 1/5 of a pound. I've traveled all of Maine feasting on numerous lobster rolls. This one was the most expensive lobster roll with the least amount of meat. Stay away from this place.Owner claims that it is absolutely 1/3 of a pound. They might want to check their scales. There is no way it was even close. I had more bread than lobster. One of the worst rolls I had in all of Maine.

This was the best restaurant ever!!! Melissa was spectacular! I have never wrote a review ever! Melissa took her time to get toys for my son that had bursts of energy after sitting in the car all day. I really enjoyed this restaurant! I definitely will come back when I’m back visiting Maine!

The service took forever to come but when they did the food was delivered fast. I had ordered a lobster salad thinking it would be a salad with lobster but it was more like a potatoe salad but made with lobster instead. Cute place all around tho

Our cruise ship stopped in Bar Harbor today. Restaurant is very close to where the Tenders dock. Lobster was very good but pricey. Had Lobster Stew, should be called Lobster soup. Otherwise, good experience. May try others in the area next time to compare and if we have more time go outside the tourist areas.

Great food, great service. Full bar, lots of options for food and drink. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend. I had the chili and clam chowder and we also tried the fries and poutine. Blueberry pie with all the ice cream and whipped cream is 100% recommended

This is one of the best restaurants in Bar Harbor. I am currently doing Keto and needed to find a healthy option. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke "salad" and got lettuce instead of the rice and I have to say. This is one of the best salads I've ever had before. I liked it so much, we ate here 3 times during our 2 week visit. My daughters also loved the kids fish & chips. I highly recommend this place and that salad!!

They were out of pizza when we went. Was looking forward to the lobster pizza, but apparently they were understaffed. Anyways, I then ordered a burger without the added bacon and it came with the bacon anyways. Food overall tasted decent. Only upside is that the service was timely.

Geddy's is a bit cramped. Only one person could pass through the walkway at a time. The waiters had to be careful to navigate through the tables. There is a bar and lots of TVs with sports. Food was good. Service is also good. Just a dark and cramped.

My husband and I had a truly delicious and enjoyable meal here during our visit to Bar Harbor this week. The waitress was fun and engaging. The food and drinks were plentiful and delicious. The music was great (all classic rock). (And it was open until 10!) If we lived nearby we would definitely become regulars here. Loved it.

First night in Bar Harbor (last Saturday) and stopped in Geddy's. So glad we did! Great atmosphere and fantastic food. We had fish and chips and Salmon Teriyaki with vegetables which was perfectly seasoned. Our waiter Nick was the epitome of a perfect waiter. Sincerely friendly and personable, got our order in with only 5 minutes to spare during happy hour, and he even took the time to give us recommendations of trails at the park and was spot on. Nick, we did the beehive which was crazy and thrilling so glad we did, thank you!

Hype, I ordered Lobster stew at Side street Cafe and Geddy’s. Geddy’s one was expensive, less quality and less quantity, vibe was also low. Side street cafe is amazing, good price, very friendly staff. Also don’t go to Jordan’s Cafe for breakfast, it’s a hype because of locations go to Martha’s dinner for an amazing breakfast

The poutine was not good. The chowder tasted like it came from a can. The guacamole was very good though. The fish and chips was very good, however the table next to us had a different experience with the fish and chips. So basically you are rolling the dice by trying this place.

Good place and service but a little high on that market price for lobsta! Can get one at a fish store cooked for 7$! I paid almost 30 for a 1 pounder first one I had eaten before i looked around so they got me with the tourist deal. Call down east lobster pick it up and fix your own side and go buy a 6 pack for $10 and save your self $100! (Reply to geddys) not a roll..a complete lobster I was meaning..sorry for the confusion i picked up a complete lobster in a shell for $7 but either or you still had great food!

Lobster Cobb salad was great. Really large fresh pieces of lobster. I had fish and chips and this was 1 big fresh piece of fish and no bones. Try the local beer it pairs well with the fresh food.

I have to book my tour just to visit this amazing restaurant. The seafood menus are just mouth watering especially the steamed lobster and lobster roll. You can taste its freshness so juicy. The blueberry cake is a must dessert to complete your meal with blueberry soda. Great place for family outings, group of friends, lovers, tourists or just even you. The decors looks cool, great acoustic music and the staff treats you like they're your family. Will definitely recommend!!!

This is exactly what I pictured a lobster place in Bar Harbor to be. I had the lobster special, it was delicious. The clam chowder and corn was good too. My wife enjoyed the quinoa salad. Diana was our server, she is very pleasant and got our meals to us quickly. Thanks again for a great dinner experience!

Guys went there for pizza and the girls tracked us down once the shopping was done. It is great place in the middle of Bar Harbor. I thought the service was good. The pizza was real good and the chowder was damn good.

We went late afternoon on a Sunday. Seated promptly. Love the decor and ambiance. Staff / servers were nice. They serve their Seadog on tap with blueberries! Had the lobster bake meal and lobster roll. Corn was over boiled and had no flavor, blueberry pie slightly under baked, but everything else was delicious. Only wish portions were bigger for the price, but I guess it is in line with downtown Bar Harbor prime tourist spots.

If you are looking for a place to take your kids I would recommend this place. Anything on the Kid's menu is served on a frisbee that the kids get to keep which is really cool. Kid's also get a lizard with their drink which I'm kinda jealous of. They have coloring mats at all the seats and crayons too (out of red when I went), which is good for adults and kids. The pizza is good, people enjoyed the lobster. My brother went once a day while staying in Bar Harbor. I want to go back sometime too and save room for dessert.

Stumbled upon this place and was very pleased. Waiters were friendly, the place was quite nice and the environment quite good as well. I had the fish & chips which was quite good. The only thing is i wish the fish had been a bit more fresh considering it is next to the harbor but it was still pretty good. Would recommend.

I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised with this place! It's very big inside, but also very busy. Regardless, we got a seat quickly and had a friendly server. The food was amazing and the best fish and chips I've ever had. The breading was light and crispy and had a good flavor, while the fish was light and moist. The clam chowder was delicious!

I wasn't a fan of the crab cake sandwich but I may be spoiled living in the vicinity of the Chesapeake Bay where blue crab are abundant. The nachos looked awesome and my husband enjoyed the seafood scampi.

Great atmosphere and location, good acoustics so not too loud with a cozy feel. Great food and prices for downtown Bar Harbor (what one would expect for a tourist hot spot.) Good sized portions on appetizers. For better deals on lobster dishes, head away from downtown.

Our first time trying lobster, so it had to be in Maine! We ordered the lobster roll with sweet potato fries and blueberry ketchup (first time trying this as well, delicious!), clam chowder, and French onion soup. Service and food were very good, definitely stop by and check them out!

We weren't impressed with the food... The cost vs quality seemed way off. I mean I can go to the super market and get Campbell's Clam Chowder and have an similar experience. The Seafood Bake was also meh, but my 3yr old seemed to enjoy his $11 kids cheese pizza... The experience wasnt a total fail, our waitress Paige, was fantastic. She was prompt and personable, and even acknowledged my kids.

The food just wasn't good. We managed to disregard the absolute madness going on in the restaurant since it was a very busy day. But the food was either dry, tasteless and bland, or downright bad. The service was good, though we were sitted right next to the entrance of the bar which ment trays and dirty dishes were always flying above our head. Considering how many other good restaurants are around, I wouldn't recommend. The only highlights from this evening were the nice service, the fact that we didn't pay much for the awful meal, and the ice cream we got right after outside of the restaurant.

We had the set-Lobster Bake for our lunch at Geddy's, Bar Barbour, including a cup of clam chowder with some cookies as a starter, tasted creamy as well as smoothly; the main character-a whole steamed lobster & corn on the cob, the former tasted not only tender but also succulent, you shouldn't miss the "juice" in it, or you would absolutely regret><, while the latter tasted juicy & sweaty soaked with the juice from the lobster. What's more, you would have a piece of blueberry pie as your dessert, well-noted & mostly produced in the Maine, which was a big bonus for our lunch. In a nutshell, not only the fresh food in Geddy's, but the total of the set was less than $31 at noon!!! People who come to Bar Barbour should give it a try~

We were told by a local to go here. The hostess had the personality of a board. We ordered 2 small chowders, 2 sodas & 2 Lobstah rolls for a whopping $83. The food was mediocre at best. The only positive was our waitress Bethany who was attentive, personable & did her job well. We had better Lobstah rolls from a take out down the street for $15 a piece.

Just walking down the street of Bar Harbor and the menu caught my daughter’s eye. We decided to give it a try: so glad we did! It was a fun and casual atmosphere. Great place to stop by in bar harbor after a day of hiking at Acadia. Open relatively late and offers a variety of dinner items. Got the clam chowder with real clams. Portions are to be expected for the price in a tourist neighborhood. Loved the placemats that you can color while waiting for food regardless of what age you are. Take your place mat downstairs to the gift shop for a prize!

Friendly server, good food & options, clean. GREAT place to bring kids. Inside decor is cool and there are lots of options for food. I had the shrimp scampi pizza, and it was very good. Perfect size for an adult/two people to share for lunch. Only thing is it is a bit pricey for lunch, but that's mostly personal preference. Generally not bad at all.

Made an off season visit and what a pleasant surprise it was. Just when you think that the folks in need of a warm day would be at their wits end it was just the opposite. Super friendly and happy. Our clam chowder and lobster roll were out of this world. Followed up with a Maine blueberry pie and ice cream. Cannot wait to go back and see them again.

The inside has an interesting assortment of items on the walls and the staff was very friendly. We had 2 adults and 2 kids and the table for 4 we sat at was very small with a ton of items in the middle taking up a lot of valuable space. I was also not very impressed with the 2 pizzas we got. Good beer selection though.

Super fun atmosphere, good service. I got Sangria and it came with a little lizard, it was a yummy drink, tasted blueberry. I also got butterflied shrimp. The dipping sauces made the dish, otherwise would have been very bland. A tad pricey but on par with the rest of the harbor. Overall good experience!

Be aware! Two of us went to lunch today. This is our first time to come to this restaurant. We only had four courses. My sister paid for it. I didn't look at the bill. Of course, my sister doesn't speak English. When we got back to the hotel, I saw that there was already a 20% gratuity on the receipt, but in the next subtotal, there was an additional tip line. My sister gave them over 20% of the total, including the tip. What I want to say is that as a business owner, or a server,( server name tsvetomir), you are dishonest. You can't fool a man twice. Just because you are a tourist city, you don't care if customers will come back! I'm writing this review today to tell you not to be fooled again. Because you got a 20% tip for two people at lunchtime, and then we added another 20%. It wasn't worth it. The service wasn't very good,( after we got our food, he never show up until we call him to get the check), and the food wasn't very good. We spent more than $100 and still weren't full! Never come back! Bad review!

Great service had the lobster stew and it was amazing! Competes with some of the best! If you coming to Mt Desert Island or Maine in general hit a lobster pound, but make this your next stop after. Try the Maine brewed Sea Dog, Blueberry Ale!

Not sure why this place got 5 stars. I ordered the Margherita pizza, and coming from a person that likes thin crust, this was paper thin. Way too thin. And most of the thickness was grease. And on the already too small table for 4 people they had a roll of paper towels and a huge caddy to hold a bunch of condiments, and the drink menu. I had to move everything to another table so I could see the person sitting across from me. The service was fast and the flavor was good, but this place needs improvement to get more than 3 stars.

Service was excellent. Food was not really inspired. I had French Onion Soup and it was flavorful. The ‘crouton’ was a big piece of bread that soaked up most of the liquid. The shrimp and scallop scampi had a boatload of garlic (great!) but was lean on meat. Good enough but not a great value.

Love this restaurant! It’s so cute and the food is always so good! The nachos are amazing! The service is always very good too, they are very friendly and they are always fast even though it’s usually very busy. They have a really cute gift shop downstairs too that is a must see. We’ve gotten some really cute souvenirs from that shop.

Expensive and a pretty typical Bar Harbor menu but, oh wow, do they knock gluten free options out of the park! It was easier for the server to point out what couldn't be made GF because pretty much the whole menu was either naturally gluten free or could be easily modified. My wife is a Celiac and can be very sensitive but she was thrilled to have a fried chicken sandwich (and fries) for the first time in YEARS! This place is more than your typical fried fish joint. The menu is small but everything looked high quality and the tap options are great. The ambience is interesting if not quirky and the staff was great.

My family was in town on vacation, and after looking through some of the menus of the local places in Downtown Bar Harbor, we decided on Getty's. We have a picky eater in our party so we had some careful considerations to make, and Getty's makes pizza! Sold. We had some seafood appetizers, which were tasty. I ordered the sausage and stout pizza, which unfortunately I had to send back. The crust was cooked but the toppings were not. The sausage was pretty anemic and the cheese was basically sweating - not exactly melted. I was pretty bummed. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals. Stuff happens, I guess!

Ordered the MDI Burger medium well but received one prepared beyond well done that left me with a burnt after taste at first bite. I promptly sent it back. The second burger was closer to medium well and fine for a very run of the mill burger. However, my daughter enjoyed the fish and chips finding it well seasoned. All in all, when the check came, I was full but thoroughly underwhelmed.

Nice restaurants that has a pub style atmosphere and menu. The fish and chips were very good and they had a wide selection of beers and other drinks available. Fish is fried and soy oil so if you have a problem with that just beware.
