Highly disappointing.... just ordered lunch from there and wont be doing that again.... general tsos had watery sauce and super dark meat, fried rice is basically wet white rice with frozen veggie mix, crab ragoon has orange filling and the pan fried dumplings were the frozen ones you get at buffet and the garlic soy they are served with was sour tasted like vinegar. Save your money... funny thing is most reviews say this place is great lol

I may be a slight bit biased seeing as I live around the corner but I have never, EVER had anything from Fortune Garden that I didn't absolutely love! The food is always great and fresh tasting/quickly prepared, and the owners are always nothing short of pleasant and welcoming... (Jon & Dianne) :)

I made a large order on a Saturday night, that got everything right and the delivery was fast too. Beef was tender, shrimp was big and well cooked. Fried rice was tasty and the beef skewers are DELICIOUS.

A married couple owns and operates the place together. They are very nice and friendly people. This is my favorite Chinese food in Portland, Maine. I love their chicken fried rice and Crab Rangoon. My favorite dish. Check them out.

Paid $100 and got two small bags of food and I would had put another star if the food was good also you get ripped off in delivery not sure if you do if you eat there but I'm not going to eat there I'd go anywhere else.

When attempting to place a delivery order, I asked if it would be possible to switch the pork fried rice for vegetable fried rice on one of the combination plates since both pork fried rice and vegetable fried rice were the same price. The person taking my call informed me that it wasn't possible to make the substitution. After explaining that there was no price difference and asking why I couldn't substitute the rice the person taking my call instructed me to, "contact another Chinese restaurant and promptly hung up the phone."

The food is excellent, well-presented, and hot! Service is very quick and efficient, and the portions are quite sizable as well! My family and I have been loyal customers for years, and coming here is a treat that we look forward to! We also love that the business is family-oriented, and the food is cooked to order!
